Oh my god this is spectacular - thank you so, so much! Every single thing about this is perfect. Actually perfect. Afton’s dark fantasy brought to horrifying and exquisite life.

“Would she still smile like that, eyes crinkled and joy in her eyes? Like all was right with the world?”

Perhaps Moondrop would crouch at her side like a demon familiar, claws glimmering crimson and staring at her as if she’d hung the stars.

Her arms would be painted with blood up to the elbow, petting the robot’s faceplate and leaving scarlet smudges like lipstick kisses.”

That terrifying, dreadful, blood-soaked worst ending brought to life. You are spectacularly talented and I am beyond grateful - thank you so much!

The Occurrence in River Oaks is an all new, entirely voice acted sci-fi horror audio drama from writer/director Nikki Durbin. Take an original, terrifying journey through one very long day in the titular small town, as heard through the viewpoint of the local law enforcement personnel; specifically, Olivia, the woman running the dispatch radio at the Sheriff's office, as she tries to hold everything together when her entire world is falling apart. As the several officers under her command come face to face with a very unexpected threat, and as Olivia tries to navigate a dangerous and otherworldly creature’s arrival, everything slowly begins to fall apart over the course of 8 grueling episodes. No one is safe, and as the world becomes very small and extremely dangerous for the characters, they must do everything in their power to protect not only the citizens of River Oaks, but the entire world.

Sun, Moon and their handler finally get some desperately-needed sleep.

The endoskeletons slowed to a groaning, grating halt, the red of their optics casting blood-red beams in the near darkness. They stamped down the corridor in slow, jagged paths, twitching as if they’d touched live electricity, their uncanny stillness dissolving under what looked like almost desperate aggression. They wanted to hurt something. They wanted it so badly their limbs shook like they were dragging weight far beyond what their pillar-like limbs could carry.

And she was wedged between two flimsy wooden crates only a few feet away. Spec-bloody-tacular.

The memory of Monty carving a chunk of sheet rock from the wall the size of a human ribcage filled the space behind her eyes like a punch in the face. There was no fighting these things. These things were what lived inside Monty. They were all razor edges and devastating, rock-cleaving might.

Her meagre human bones stood no chance.
