gilmore girls in the sims 4!
Hello to all! 🌟
We are officially in cozy season, and what better way to celebrate than by building Stars Hollow in The Sims 4? I’ve captured the charm of the town square, including The Stars Hollow Gazebo, Luke's Diner, and more!
This build is now available in my game library @nikaknack.

this is your reminder to detach.
stop thinking about whether they’re thinking about you, what they’re saying about you (for better or for worse), or what you could’ve done better. leave it be. get up and get your shit together and focus all that delusion on working.
you don’t have to be rory, cher, elle, blair, or hermione. you have to become the best version of yourself and spending all your time comparing yourself to people is not the way out of that. pick aspects of their mindset apart and combine it if you have to, but scrolling post through post on tumblr imagining the perfect enemies to lovers while you do nothing and rot in your room is not the way thats going to happen.
you’re mad at that girl in your school who’s pretty, has a boyfriend but also gets the best grades on the planet? you’re mad at that boy who can buy his way into uni? too bad too fucking sad. i promise you they do not care now, and they won’t care ever. i wont either in 7 years, in my penthouse with my ivy league degree. i can promise you that. what next?
you don’t need a thousand different expensive highlighters, you don’t need the perfect window w the perfect sunset, the way your hair looks does not matter, and the video you said you’d watch later doesn’t matter either. get through it, sobbing if you have to. don’t come crying to me when you’ve failed out of everything.
start now.

I was just watching the episode “Dear Richard and Emily” in season 3 and the small Jess and Luke and Nicole storyline bits are so silly and I really like it BUT I noticed something silly that doesn’t really make sense!
So when Luke and Nicole get back from their date the lights in the diner are fully on and Kirk is sitting at the counter which must mean that the diner is still open BUT when Jess says he’s gonna “go out for about an hour” Luke says “it’s 11:30.”
My question is why the hell is this little diner in a small town still open at 11:30 at night, and without Luke even there to run things! it’s just Jess and possibly Caesar.
Very minuscule and not important but I noticed it and thought it was silly!

。・゚゚・ Socstudies: Sociology 101 ・゚゚・。
101: What do sociologists study?
Hello! Welcome to my first sociology class! Read along and answer the questions to earn Luke's coffee cups, which you can exchange at the store for rewards!

To start of with, we need to answer the question:
。・゚゚・What is sociology?・゚゚・。
Sociology is the study of social structures and relationships - to put it simply, sociologists study how people interact with each other and how this changes such as in groups of families, colleagues, etc.

。・゚゚・Okay, so what do sociologists actually do?・゚゚・。
In order to study social relations, sociologists will focus on a specific area such as families, education, or work. From this, they will then zoom in on a specific subject. For example, my area of interest is globalisation, and how the internet has changed the way in which people interact.
Once they have an area that they are interested in, they may conduct primary or secondary research - or both. Primary research involves going out (or going online) and using methods such as surveys, participant observation, interviews, and lab or field experiments. Secondary research involves the analysis of results or data that already exists - such as ordinance or census data.

。・゚゚・What do they do with this data?・゚゚・。
After data is collected, it is analysed and written up. There are many different theoretical lenses through which the data is analysed, and I will discuss these in more detail in future lessons (see the syllabus).

。・゚゚・is sociology important?・゚゚・。
Sociology is important because the research is often carried out in a way that puts the attention on previously underepresented groups that are ignored or belittled. For example, Alice Goffman's ethnography 'On the Run' involved her living with the group she was observing (young Black men and their families in an over-policed Philadelphia neighbourhood) for six years. From this, she was able to relate their lives through theological lenses to draw attention to the issues that they were facing.

。・゚゚・Review Questions!・゚゚・。
1x cup for each answered correctly!
What is the definition of sociology?
What are the two types of research methods that sociolgists can use? Name one of each type.
Outline one reason why sociology is important.
Congratulations for finishing your first lesson at Chilton! Head back to Stars Hollow and trade your coffee cups here!
