How To Rejoice for the Returned!
How do we NOT show contempt to those who have returned to God? . . #dailydevotion #Biblestudy #Randomnestfamily #faith #return #primary #dayone #election
In today’s devotion, we learn about how to rejoice for those who are returning to Christ! Returned! A party is brewing in the house. The prodigal son has just returned and happiness is all around. There’s BBQ beef on the grill and cheerful, happy music in the background with dancing -a little Hebrew shuffling!  (Luke15:23-25) Just as Christ has promised us, he brought back the lost sheep,…

Unlocking Luke 15 Parables of Mercy and Forgiveness\ #Luke15 #LostAndFound #ProdigalSon #Forgiveness #Grace #Redemption #DivineLove #ChristianFaith #BibleStories #SpiritualReawakening
Good morning, everyone! Today, I'm excited to share with you the profound lessons from Luke 15, a chapter rich with messages of redemption, grace, and divine love. This chapter comprises three of Jesus' most poignant parables: The Lost Sheep, The Lost Coin, and The Prodigal Son. Each story uniquely illustrates God's boundless mercy and relentless pursuit of those who are lost. In the Parable of the Lost Sheep, Jesus describes a shepherd who leaves his ninety-nine sheep to find the one that is lost. This teaches us about God's individual care for each of us, emphasizing that every single soul is valuable in His eyes. The joy in finding the lost sheep reflects God's immense joy when one sinner repents. Moving to the Parable of the Lost Coin, we see a woman who searches diligently for one lost coin out of ten. This parable highlights the importance of perseverance in faith and the celebration of recovery. It shows that no effort is too great when it comes to salvation. Lastly, The Prodigal Son, perhaps the most famous, tells of a young man who squanders his inheritance but is welcomed back by his father with open arms when he returns. This story powerfully illustrates forgiveness and the endless grace of God, who is always ready to accept us back, regardless of our past mistakes. Together, these parables from Luke 15 teach us about the value of every individual to God, the joy of rediscovery and redemption, and the unconditional love and forgiveness that the Father extends to all who turn back to Him. Let us take these lessons to heart: to value those around us, to seek diligently for the truth, and to always return to God's open arms of grace and mercy. Thank you for listening, and may these truths enrich your life!

This quote is said by Jesus! He is telling us that even though there is joy when someone continuously does the right thing, there is even more celebration in Heaven when someone repents from their sinful ways and turns to God! So if we ever make mistakes and sin, which we will, it is so good for us to repent to God and try not to repeat it!!!!!

I think a promise for ourselves . . and our loved ones!
v4 Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? v5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders. Our Abba Father is rich in mercy.
The Prodigal Son embraces mercy.
"Tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to Jesus,
"But the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying,
“This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
"So to them Jesus addressed this parable.
“A man had two sons, and the younger son said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of your estate that should come to me.’
"So the father divided the property between them.
"After a few days, the younger son collected all his belongings and set off to a distant country where he squandered his inheritance on a life of dissipation.
"When he had freely spent everything, a severe famine struck that country, and he found himself in dire need. So he hired himself out to one of the local citizens who sent him to his farm to tend the swine.
"And he longed to eat his fill of the pods on which the swine fed, but nobody gave him any.
"Coming to his senses he thought, ‘How many of my father’s hired workers have more than enough food to eat, but here am I, dying from hunger.
"I shall get up and go to my father and I shall say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I no longer deserve to be called your son; treat me as you would treat one of your hired workers.”’
"So he got up and went back to his father. While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him.
"His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son.’
"But his father ordered his servants, ‘Quickly, bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Take the fattened calf and slaughter it. Then let us celebrate with a feast, because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found.’
"Then the celebration began. Now the older son had been out in the field and, on his way back, as he neared the house, he heard the sound of music and dancing. He called one of the servants and asked what this might mean.
"The servant said to him, ‘Your brother has returned and your father has slaughtered the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’
"He became angry, and when he refused to enter the house, his father came out and pleaded with him.
"He said to his father in reply, ‘Look, all these years I served you and not once did I disobey your orders; yet you never gave me even a young goat to feast on with my friends. But when your son returns who swallowed up your property with prostitutes, for him you slaughter the fattened calf.’
"He said to him, ‘My son, you are here with me always; everything I have is yours. But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’” (Luke15:1-3, 11-32).
Saturday March 11th 2023 in the 2nd Week of Lent.
Abba Father is rich in mercy. This is the whole story of the Parable of the Prodigal Son.
The second point in this great Parable is that the Elder brother of the Prodigal and the Prodigal Himself are beneficiaries of the merciful largesse of the Father. The Elder brother might not realize this at once but hopefully will do sooner than later.
What is the one thing to take away from this teaching. It is time to prepare carefully for the Sacrament of Reconciliation for Easter. If you need a comprehensive list of the examination of conscience, click the link below:

Precious Find, 2022 This piece aims to evoke the anticipation of a precious item that was lost being found. Some people see the lost item but choose to ignore it, prioritising a place of comfort. Others would pick up the broom and make sure to find out what the valuable item is and place it where it belongs.
A take on Jesus's parables of The Lost Sheep and The Lost Coin (Luke 15:1-10)

The Parable of the Prodigal Daughter
There was a man who had two daughters. The younger one said to her father, “Father, give me my share of the estate.” But her father worked in mysterious ways and refused to give his daughter what he had promised.
Not long after that, the younger daughter got together all she had, which wasn’t much, and set off for a distant country and there began to build a new home for herself. Without the support of her father she felt lost at first and she had to learn to depend on herself instead of her father. She wished she could be back with her father in the comfort she used to know but she didn’t trust him anymore and she knew she couldn’t look back from her decision.
One day years later she met her sister. She ran to her and put her arms around her. But her sister was angry. She said that the younger daughter had betrayed their father, that she couldn’t be trusted, and that she never really loved the father. She said that one day the younger daughter would regret her choice; that one day she would be in trouble and need her father and she would have to go back to him.
That was when the younger daughter realised that she didn’t miss her father anymore. She had learned to rely on herself and become her own person and she didn’t need him anymore. Actually she didn’t even want him anymore.
She hoped her sister was wrong and that she would be able to continue living her life in peace. But what if her sister was right? What if it was inevitable that one day she’d be crawling back to her father, begging his forgiveness and returning to a life of broken promises and unfulfilled hope?
