In the name of the governor of New Providence Island, the Honorable Woodes Rogers, "the time has come to bring a wayward child back into the fold," an island that rejected its parent empire, but that must long for the embrace of civilization once again. Be it proclaimed that any man on this island who will accept that embrace, who will renounce violence against the crown, who will renounce piracy, that man will be offered a full, complete, and unqualified pardon. No matter what you've done, no matter how irredeemable you believe it to be, your king and your governor wish to offer you a clean slate, a new beginning here in Nassau.

Hello, Slav! I hope you're doing well. Would you happen to know who are the musicians that recorded the "Phantom of the Opera" cover? I'm also curious to know if T played the bass on this one. It was obvious that it would be amazing - that song through the Ghost lense? What a recipe for success. But, still, the instrumentals were just so great and I was blown away (I do admit that I wish T's voice was a little... clearer, maybe? But I'm in no way complaining). Thank you!
Guitars - Fredrik Åkesson again and this time with Lars Johansson (of Candlemass), keyboards - Luke Reynolds, drums - Matt Chamberlain.
The thing with Tobias is, he's never credited as a musician separately because he falls under the general "Performer: Ghost" section, so whatever he does in the studio, it's never specified. However, since there is no one listed for bass specifically, one may assume he played it, as that was the case with Impera too for example. Maybe he'll clarify it eventually.

Scrooge has a 1992 musical and I DIDN'T KNOW?
So there's a 1992 version of the 1970/2022 musical for "Scrooge". I didn't know this, but there are also seemingly a million adaptations of this, so i accept it. Sure.
Things I've learned:
RICHARD CHAMBERLAIN PLAYED SCROOGE??? He's a Hitchcock actor, BUT he also played Aramis in "Three Musketeers". Do you know who else played Aramis in another version of "Three Musketeers"? Luke Evans.
I've heard that one of the charity ladies has the last name 'Jollygoode" and it's true. Her name is Jocelyn Jollygoode. I want to go on record and say that Connie's last name is 'DoGoode' because I thought it sounded like a Dickens name. Like, so straightforward it's almost parody. Well, apparently...I was not alone.
There's a song called "I Hate People" (wow, who sings that one?) and "M.O.N.E.Y" (I can't handle this, I'm picturing the song from "Ghost" and I hate it) and a song called "The Milk of Human Kindness". I don't know what that means.
Old Scrooge and young Scrooge have a duet? I love this idea despite having no clue what it would be like.
@quill-pen BESSSS!

jan luis castellanos, bisexual, cis-male + he/him → isn’t that manuel jaime diaz? i’ve also heard they go by the it boy. i hear they’re twenty-two and want to be a broadway actor. they seem to be hardworking & charismatic, but also perfectionist & pushy. they remind me of spotlight shining in the middle of the stage, the shine of a leather jacket, and a morning run around the park.

when someone mentions the diaz family, it's nothing but good things for that family. of course it would be. they were the poster family of what the american dream was all about. the family immigrated from dominican republic in the early 80s, with a hundred dollars in their pockets and but a dream. the dream for a better life. jaime and marisol had always dreamt of living their lives in the united states, but when manuel was born, they had another dream now, to give manny the best life they could, and that was to move them to a country where anything was possible.
and that's what manuel managed to do. growing up from his humble beginnings and learn that with a bit of hard work and dedication, any dream was possible. and growing up with someone who had everything, he felt like he needed to keep up with all the things he managed. marcus was always the charming one, the trendy one, the king of the school. and manny always felt like he was just his lackey more than he was a friend. but that didn't stop manny for pursuing things he enjoyed, even if marcus wasn't into it, from being the best in whatever sport he was in, to getting a solo in the school and church choir, to ending up getting the lead role in every musical and play he had auditioned for during school. he was dream catcher, a perfectionist, an idealistic person.
the struggles came when he applied to schools, and finding out that he was an immigrant himself. for most of his life he was told that he was born in the bronx. manuel's whole life was in the states, in new york city, and discovering that he couldn't legally get a job or apply for student loans because he was not from here took a toll on his whole identity. no one knew else knew about this, not even marcus, except for esteban chamberlain, marcus' father.
after the news, he didn't stop though. he kept working hard, getting accepted to one of the best schools. his eyes were set on lawrence university. it was the most prestigious school that he knew he needed to be part of, but he knew that he would struggle to afford the school. luckily he got some money with some scholarships, but it wasn't enough. he had enough for a year, thanks to his parents saving up, but he still needed three more years worth of tuition, so he had to find some way to get the money. and so he found himself escorting, and then eventually finding a man that would eventually helped.
he managed to do all this under the books, until marcus discovered the truth. he knew about his status, he found out that he was doing escorting his freshman and sophomore year, and he knew all about the guy that he was sleeping with for money. their relationship had strained, that manny was tired of feeling less, and the night he died he had an argument with him. after his death, it was him that took over the reigns. he was next in line for valedictorian, he was given so much love after marcus died, seeing as he was the closest with him. and now he was the new it boy. it was cool, but the last thing he wanted was for people thinking he had something to do with his death.
○ ′ 🌙 ––––––––––––––––––– 007
CONNECTIONS
childhood friend // competition - marcus chamberlain was always on top. even though he was a close friend to him, manny felt like he was always under his shadow, never shining because he would always take the spotlight from him. and it didn't change when they went to college. but now that he has passed away, he is getting the spotlight that he deserved. but the question is, did manny have anything to do with his death?
childhood friend, found family - someone who genuinely felt a connection with. he even had a little crush on, but never really did anything because of marcus. he hopes now that marcus is gone, things with them could evolve into something stronger.
ride or die - this is a friend he had met at lawerence university, the one that became his true best friend, unlike his former frenemy. how they met was through an event, and then ended up having a few classes together as well, but they ended up hanging outside of school events and classes, which made their relationship even tighter.
current hookup/fwb - it's not serious, but just someone he has fun with. it could go either two ways, feelings may get involved and manny runs or it continues to just be fwb type deal.
more to come.

27th November >> Mass Readings (USA)
Monday, Thirty Fourth Week in Ordinary Time
(Liturgical Colour: Green: A (1))
First Reading Daniel 1:1-6, 8-20 None were found equal to Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.
In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came and laid siege to Jerusalem. The Lord handed over to him Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and some of the vessels of the temple of God; he carried them off to the land of Shinar, and placed the vessels in the temple treasury of his god. The king told Ashpenaz, his chief chamberlain, to bring in some of the children of Israel of royal blood and of the nobility, young men without any defect, handsome, intelligent and wise, quick to learn, and prudent in judgment, such as could take their place in the king’s palace; they were to be taught the language and literature of the Chaldeans; after three years’ training they were to enter the king’s service. The king allotted them a daily portion of food and wine from the royal table. Among these were men of Judah: Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.
But Daniel was resolved not to defile himself with the king’s food or wine; so he begged the chief chamberlain to spare him this defilement. Though God had given Daniel the favor and sympathy of the chief chamberlain, he nevertheless said to Daniel, “I am afraid of my lord the king; it is he who allotted your food and drink. If he sees that you look wretched by comparison with the other young men of your age, you will endanger my life with the king.” Then Daniel said to the steward whom the chief chamberlain had put in charge of Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, “Please test your servants for ten days. Give us vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then see how we look in comparison with the other young men who eat from the royal table, and treat your servants according to what you see.” He acceded to this request, and tested them for ten days; after ten days they looked healthier and better fed than any of the young men who ate from the royal table. So the steward continued to take away the food and wine they were to receive, and gave them vegetables. To these four young men God gave knowledge and proficiency in all literature and science, and to Daniel the understanding of all visions and dreams. At the end of the time the king had specified for their preparation, the chief chamberlain brought them before Nebuchadnezzar. When the king had spoken with all of them, none was found equal to Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; and so they entered the king’s service. In any question of wisdom or prudence which the king put to them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his kingdom.
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm Daniel 3:52, 53, 54, 55, 56
R/ Glory and praise for ever!
“Blessed are you, O Lord, the God of our fathers, praiseworthy and exalted above all forever; And blessed is your holy and glorious name, praiseworthy and exalted above all for all ages.”
R/ Glory and praise for ever!

R/ Glory and praise for ever!
“Blessed are you on the throne of your Kingdom, praiseworthy and exalted above all forever.”
R/ Glory and praise for ever!
“Blessed are you who look into the depths from your throne upon the cherubim, praiseworthy and exalted above all forever.”
R/ Glory and praise for ever!
“Blessed are you in the firmament of heaven, praiseworthy and glorious forever.”
R/ Glory and praise for ever!
Gospel Acclamation Matthew 24:42a, 44
Alleluia, alleluia. Stay awake! For you do not know when the Son of Man will come. Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel Luke 21:1-4 He noticed a poor widow putting in two small coins.
When Jesus looked up he saw some wealthy people putting their offerings into the treasury and he noticed a poor widow putting in two small coins. He said, “I tell you truly, this poor widow put in more than all the rest; for those others have all made offerings from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has offered her whole livelihood.”
The Gospel of the Lord
R/ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Good Vibes Challange:The Four Muskateers
@the-blue-fairie @themousefromfantasyland @amalthea9 @princesssarisa @angelixgutz @filmcityworld1 @ariel-seagull-wings
@goodanswerfoxmonster reccomended this one and boy was it fun
So havent read the book The Three Muskateers ,but I have seen the 1948 film starring Gene Kelley ,Lana Turner and Vincent PRice (Which maybe my favorite),BOTH Disney versions (Both the animated one with Mickey Mouse and the live action one with human cartoon Tim Curry ) and the 2011 one with Mads Mikelsen ,Christoph Waltz and two actors I often mistake for each other ,Luke Evans and Orlando Bloom .
PErhaps the most relevent thing is I have seen the 1973 film the Three Muskateers, which this is the sequel of....sort of.....They were supposed to be the same film ,but in the editing got turned into two films .Of the Three MuskateersI quite enjoyed that film,I enjoyed how tangible the setting was ,I like the fight choreography ,and the cast wa superb....The flaw was while director Richard Lesters quirky humor worked sometimes,he kind of overdid it a few time (A common problem I have with his work ) and some of the characters, notably Aramis as played by Richard Chamberlain
Nowonto the plot of this 1974 film ,taking place during the Anglo French war ,D'artagnan (Michael York ) has gone and pissed off Milady de Winter (FAye Dunaway ) who vows to kill him and his lover Constance (Raquel Welch )
Well the strengths of this movie are,,,,Pretty much the strengths of the first movie.I like how immersive the setting ,you really feel like you are in another century .The fight choreography feels very feral and almost on the spot ,I especially admire a fight scene on ice and the final duel between Miladys lover Roquefort played by Christopher Lee and D'artagnan ,where they both look exhausted by the end .Cast is on point ,Michael York's naivete (As well as some writing that softens the character ) help turn D'Artagnan from a douche canoe to an engaging though very much falwed protagonist ,Oliver Reed is very solid ,ROy Kinnear and Frank Finaly bring levity ,and Christopher Lee is wonderfully menacing (And you get to see his impressive sword fighting skills )
Where this improves on the first film is I think the character work is better ,we get to spend more tim with these guys .I also think Charlton Heston who I found miscast in the first film is actually really good here as the greater scope villain .Also Richard Chamberlain actually gets to do stuff in this film, and I love his dynamic with Frank Finlay. The scene stealer however is Faye Dunaway ,who is more or less the main villain who bring a manipulative menace to her role
I have a few major issues and one is that is Raquel Welch feels wasted ,and while Book accurate ,I dont think her final fate works with the films tone . The other big issue is....The same as the first film, the comedy can sometimes ruin a scene
I retract an issue I had when I reviewed the first film where I called the Muskateers too much of jerks....Because it occurred to me they are supposed to be a bit unlikeable but be engaginf and I think both films accomplish that
Overall I had a very good time

POPPY REED (REBECCA RITTENHOUSE) HAS FOUND.
Connection: Twin Brother
Suggested Name: UTP but must be plant inspired. The last name would be Reed.
Age Range: 32
Species: Witch (Or vampire/werewolf)
Suggested FCs: Chace Crawford, Scott Eastwood, Daniel Sharman, Jonathan Bailey, Adam Demos, Alex Saxon, Max Irons, Austin Butler, Alexander Ludwig, Luke Mitchell, or UTP. (Mainly I just ask that they look like Rebecca Rittenhouse)
Connection Description:
They were 6 they were taken away from Boston and memory wiped by their mother to forget Silas. They also had their last names changed to their mother’s surname.
Their mother refused to acknowledge Jasmine Chamberlain as their half sister, but before they were memory wiped the siblings were aware of her. Update: They are now aware and have been for a year about Jasmine's existance.
Poppy was always the rebel, but your character was always the one who would remove the charm their mother gave them to forget and would remember. So constantly she would be dosing them, trying to alter their memories even more. To the point their memories of childhood would be more blurry and harder to remember.
Which I always pictured him like a season 1 Lizzie Saltzman where he’s always known his brain works different, but still he’s trying and working on his issues. He would probably have a therapist in the coven when growing up, rather he goes or not anymore is up to you.
The mom, Alyssa, probably forced them into spots or any after school activity to keep them busy and to prevent them from being another Poppy, who rebelled against everything. Considering Poppy was their twin I could see them trying to protect her in a way and going along with it.
This is up to you, but I do see him struggling with some type of addiction rather it be a substance or just even magic itself.
He probably would be the least controlled when it comes to magic out of the siblings, but also it comes from his emotions not being in check.
Potential issues with authority/the coven given how they exiled one of his siblings.
More than likely they’re the one always in the middle of the sisters and trying to break up the arguments, they probably get dragged into them more often than not.
When Poppy left and didn’t come back it probably put more pressure on the twin and their mom Alyssa probably had them on a short lease since she already had one child that had escaped town and basically disgraced the family.
Since they are twins I do image Poppy stayed in contact with them even if they couldn’t really visit one another.
Poppy only returned after she’d been attacked and she was pretty much cast out by not only the coven but their mom Alyssa and step dad. How your character felt is up to you, I’m down if they’re mad or if they welcomed her back secretly.
I could also see your character being recently turned via if it was on purpose or even accident. Again you don’t have to do this plot but it is up to you.
Poppy was killed and resurrected in the August 2023 event. As a result since black magic was done by their half sister Jasmine to bring Poppy back their mother Alyssa died as the price.
Alyssa was the only one in the coven to note vote bringing Poppy back, while the other siblings and coven all wanted her back
Please be sure to contact the player before applying:

CLOSED! Preliminary Hot Vintage TV Men List
Alright folks! We have one week left on submissions for the Hot Vintage TV Men's Bracket! As promised here is a list of all the Hot Vintage TV Men who have been submitted and passed our preliminary eligibility checks. There are a handful of guys on this list and one or two not on it that we are currently still debating on so reminder that this list is not final and subject to change.
Currently we have 231 Hot Vintage TV Men!
Also in advance of the competition I'd like to remind anyone submitting propaganda for someone that starred in a show that aired only partially during our timeframe or was under 18 for a part of a shows filming, to please make sure you are only submitting propaganda that is from within our timeframe and when the actor was 18 years or older. This is also just good to keep in mind in general as several people submitted actors for shows that aren't eligible for our tournament either because it was outside our time period or in one case the actor was underaged for the entirety of the show (though many were eligible for other shows they were submitted for). We do our best to screen for these things but sometimes it's hard to tell or it’s a show we don't personally know well enough so we appreciate help from y'all letting us know if you do catch anything.
List below the cut
