#Luigi’s Mansion Movie

My plot idea for a Luigi’s Mansion movie

After the events of the Super Mario movie, Mario and Luigi plumber’s business has become quite successful, to the point where one day, they have to split up to fix the pipes of different houses, a big mansion and a regular house, respectively.

Because Mario knows how his brother is scared of everything, he decides to be the one going in the big mansion to fix it, but Luigi won’t stop worrying about Mario because that mansion is located in the Specter kingdom in a creepy forest. However, as the fearless plumber he is, Mario reassure his bro that "it’s just a mansion" and that "he should stop making horror movies in his head", and Luigi hesitatly agree on letting his brother to go in that mansion.

After Luigi fix up the sink of the last house of the day, he goes home and notice that Mario isn’t home yet. While he’s starting to worry because the red plumber didn’t sent any message to warn him he’ll be home late, Luigi rationalize that fixing the pipes of a big mansion must take a lot of time. His worries come back when none of his family or even Mario’s closest friends don’t know about when he’ll get back.

Luigi decides to go at the mansion himself anyway to know if Mario’s alright and help him finish his job, despite being absolutly scared. The mansion looks much scarier than on the pictures.

Once in, he gets attacked by ghosts, but is narrowly saved by a scientific called Professor Elvin Gadd, or E. Gadd for short. He explains that this mansion was once full of friendly ghosts, but that a certain King Boo controls them into being agressive. Luigi asks him if he saw Mario, E. Gadd responds by saying he saw him going in the mansion but never came back.

Luigi and E. Gadd team up to defeat King Boo, Luigi gets handed the Poltergust and a device to communicate with E. Gadd so that he can help him in his ghost hunting.

Luigi now has to search for Mario and defeat King Boo, and it’s revealed in a scene the latter turned the former into a painting, King Boo faked a plumbing issue to lure the Mario brothers in the mansion to capture them before taking on the Mushroom Kingdom.

Through the movie, there’ll be ghosts of every game as well as references to each game.

If there’s a movie made for LM3,I feel like Hellen should have a transatlantic accent!! Though,only when she has makeup on. Once she’s in her true form,that accent fades!

Hearing Matthew Fogel describe Luigi like that, plus some of the expressions in the concept art, has me hoping that at some point (in a very reasonable set of situations) Luigi's going to snap Charlie Kelley style.

The first one came from me thinking how it would be fun if they made some kind of reference to the OG movie in the new one, the rest are general Mario doodles :]

Very Big Fan of the whole "Mario glaring down a threat while putting himself between said threat and his loved ones" trope, 10/10 never gets old

That's when he realized. King Boo only wanted him, and he wouldn't stop until he got the green-clad plumber. Luigi was afraid, he didn't know what would happen once he went through the portal, what he could find there, but if that was the only chance to keep Mario and everyone else safe, he was willing to take it.

“Mario! You have to let me go!”

“WHAT?!”, Mario said in astonishment.

“I know what to do, you gotta trust me”, Luigi said, determination filling his eyes.

“I do trust you! But I don't trust him”, Mario replied, his eyes briefly pointing to the vortex where the royal Boo had entered.

“It is me who he wants. If I don't do this, he'll destroy everything!”, replied the green-clad plumber.

Mario stared at his little brother, hesitant. Luigi's eyes said it all: he was willing to jump into the portal and there was no way he would change his mind.

Well, neither do Mario.

“I know, but I... I don't wanna lose you again”, Mario's eyes were filled with fear. The fear he didn't feel during his time being trapped in a painting, he was feeling it now. He had been separated from Luigi again for what he felt was an eternity, and now he was about to play a stunt that could possibly cost him his life, and Mario just couldn't bear losing his brother. Luigi's life was literally on his hand. “I'm sorry”, he said firmly, “but I'm not gonna let you go.”

Luigi felt Mario's grip tighten around his wrist. If there was something Mario was really good at, was being stubborn. The younger plumber knew words would never convince Mario to let him go, so without him noticing, Luigi slowly detached the flashlight from the Poltergust...

“I know.”

He pressed the button and the Strobulb did his job: the sudden flash stunned Mario right away, instinctively using his left hand to cover his eyes.

“NO!”, he screamed when he realized what he had done. Horrorized, with tears in his eyes and with DK holding him into place so he wouldn't go after him, Mario saw his brother being sucked by the portal.

“I'm sorryyyyyy!”, cried Luigi.

“LUIGIIIIIIIIII!!”

And with that, the green-clad plumber disappeared along with the portal.

This is the first Luigi I draw in months and I just had to draw him in an angsty scenario, haha 😅

It's actually from and idea that popped in my head about a potential Luigi's Mansion movie, and of course our beloved green bean had to sacrifice himself to save everyone (but don't worry, we all know he wins at the end 😉)

IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE MARIO MOVIE!

- Jack Black’s Bowser is as amazing as you think he’ll be

- Chris Pratt’s Mario is good. Not GREAT, but he does actually put effort into it and it didn’t kill the movie as much as I thought it would.

- The animation is gorgeous. Like, seriously. The action was fun and bouncy, the settings were the perfect blend of silly cartoon and legitimately pretty, and the animation of the power-up was especially fun.

- Don’t expect a super complex story. It is Mario at the end of the day.

- There are a lot of fun easter eggs regarding classic Nintendo games, especially classic Mario games.

- Don’t get your hopes up for Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, or Rosalina; There are cameos for Pauline and the Yoshis though!

- The music is awesome. Like, it’s reimagining’s of classic Mario soundtracks as cinematic music and its really a ton of fun!

- All in all, a good movie. Above all else its just FUN. I definitely recommend it, at the very least for the eyecandy and music.

- You WILL be disappointed how little Luigi is in the movie

- They make Luigi the most likeable little guy and BARELY USE HIM

- Guys you dont understand LUIGI’S MOM IS PROUD OF HIM :( Why do they not use him more

- There needs to be a Luigi’s Mansion movie let him be the main character or else
