A rare glitch can occur during the final battle against King Boo in Luigi's Mansion 3. At some point, King Boo creates a clone meant to confuse Luigi. However, occasionally, after creating the clone, neither of them ever attack, and become stuck merely floating back and forth outside the arena.

As the battle is timed and King Boo automatically wins when the timer runs out, this gives Luigi no chance to win since by staying out of the arena, King Boo gives Luigi no opportunity to attack him. The player's only options are to restart the game or wait out the timer and die.

This brings to mind the popular joke about Luigi "winning while doing absolutely nothing", except in this case it is King Boo winning while doing absolutely nothing instead.
