The Bright Queen is such an interesting contrast to Ludinus, because by his worldview, she should be on his side.
She was also alive during the Calamity. She also lived with the immediate post-war devastation of the fighting (we don’t know where Ludinus lived for sure, but she’s arguably even more familiar with it. It’s called the Wastes of Xhorhas for a reason). She doesn’t worship any of the gods; indeed, Lolth personally hates her! She has plenty of reasons to hate the gods, or at least not care if they die.
But critically, she knows that Ludinus is a huge dickhead, and knows he is her enemy.

orym (of course) not wanting to go. orym (of course) not wanting to follow ludinus. orym not faulting any of his friends for going, not faulting any of his friends for following. he’s not angry. he’s tired. he’s not going. he’s not following. fearne looking not at ludinus or to the others but to orym. fearne simply asking “orym?” fearne asking orym. fearne asking orym what he wants. what will he do? what will she do? orym telling fearne go ahead. you can go. it’s ok. I understand. you can go. go ahead. fearne not pushing, not pressuring. fearne not moving. fearne affirming she won’t go without him. fearne affirming she won’t go if orym won’t go. fearne telling orym I go where you go and fearne showing orym I don’t go where you don’t go. orym giving in because she’s his best friend. he goes where she goes. he follows her. she’s asking. she’s giving him a choice. she’s giving him his choice. she’s giving him her choice. she’ll stay if he stays. he’ll go where she goes. orym tells fearne “you’ll have to hold me up.” and they both know what that means. fearne picks orym up. orym lets fearne pick him up. fearne carries orym. they’re only following each other.

If the Hells really want to stop Ludinus, they should just try unionising the workers against him

i need to know so much more about Ludinus now. All we know is he said he was a child when Aeor fell; was he on it as it hurtled through the sky? Did he see the streets he grew up on crumble under him as everyone around him was rent asunder? Was he teleported away by a parent in the first moments? Or did he see it fall from the ground, watching any hopes and dreams of walking that great city fall with it? Did he once have faith in the gods? Or did he always harbor his animosity? Did he grieve, and does he still? How does he still have such conviction after all this time, what drives him?
I see a lot of folks saying downfall changes nothing, and Ludinus's arguments are pointless. But I think one of the most compelling things we could see next, as the Bell Hells come out of their vision, is Ludinus weeping quietly before them.

Y’know... after everything Ludinus has said and done the thing that scares me the most is the idea that he lived through the fucking Calamity and his main take away was that there wasn’t enough wizard hubris.

My goals are worth destroying a city and killing a bunch of innocent people
You can't understand how I think because you are inexperienced children
I'm simply different from everyone else
Ludinus is not beating the you are like exactly like the gods allegations isn't he

It was so funny to see Ludinus visibly frustrated and having a bad day this episode. Almost every other time we’ve seen him he’s been so smug and in control, so hearing him complain about dealing with the fey, and his allies is JUICY. His “Are you kidding me?” at the animating statue was so satisfying

orym stating “and I’m telling you, if ludinus had sent people to your home and taken your brother and your father and countless others, how philosophical would you be about it, dorian? he’s done that on a very large scale, far beyond me and my home. think what you want about the gods. we have plenty of sins on our heads to deal with. just like them.”
clearly an unpopular opinion but orym has Every Right,

Imogen is so soft yet cruel with her words to Ludinus, almost like how Laudna spoke with Ashton after he tried to take both shards in and nearly killed himself.
That parental authority looking down at a child who is in the middle of throwing a tantrum, and cutting them words that linger.
