But may you please do a mini headcanon of M6 reacting to Mc's familiar as a coyote, and its known to be a trickster and a troublemaker, but Mc is almost the opposite of their familiar and seem innocent, and they can transform in their coyote familiar during the night and evening, since Mc has a time limit form shifting.

Julian: all he knows is that this creature looks akin to a dog, and he misses his old dog very much, and he's more than happy to bond with this one. (watching him chase it for his slippers is hilarious)

Asra: a trickster, you say? you'd hoped they'd end up cancelling each other's mischief out, but instead Asra seems to have taken it up as their prankster apprentice. at least Faust will side with you ... right?

Nadia: on the outside, she's playing the role of responsible Countess and interacting with it calmly and respectfully. on the inside, she's cheering it on as it chases Camio around the Palace Gardens

Muriel: not hugely worried since it seems perfectly at home among the trees. Inanna, on the other hand, has turned into a fondly exasperated big sister wolf around it and has started stress shedding

Portia: a troublemaker, you say? count her in! >:3 seriously though, she's going to become their worst enabler as long as the trouble doesn't end up tracking mud across her floors or breaking dishes

Lucio: between the coyote's intelligence, Mercede's and Melchior's natural gift for chaos, and Lucio's impulsive decision making, you're either about to be the responsible one or the terror of the continent

M6 vs. Escape Room

A/N: Don't ask me where this came from, I was just in the mood to write sth silly and fun XD.

Asra:

They find some way to sneak Faust in so she can take part in the fun(and maybe slither behind certain objects for clues)

Is the type of person who will find creative ways to escape without them having anything to do with how you're actually supposed to solve things

Has very good intuition when it comes to where or what the next clue could be but he doesn't care much for the time limit

Finds the expression on your face every time you manage to figure out a clue on your own absolutely adorable, so much so that they're letting you make most of the progress wanting to see it again

Could make any themed room romantic somehow and just finds excuses to cling to you any chance he gets

*Holds your hand in the dark*

*Sidles up to you and cuddles during a particularly rough puzzle*

*Whispers a hint in your ear*

Even in scary escape rooms, their chill attitude is enough to make you feel infinetely more relaxed

Very likely to steal some decor from the room to keep as a souvenir or because they found it interesting

Julian:

Surprisingly not as good at this as you'd expect

Now, has he had close calls and predicaments he's managed to find unique and out-of-the-box ways of escaping from? Yes, half his stories are like that

Has he been in a situation where he is trapped in a room and has to follow a hyperspecific line of instructions to escape? No, not really

Julian is more the kind of person that can get himself out of situations easier by talking his way out of things and being generally charming or unbelievable things just transpire around him and he takes advantage of them to somehow escape

Also the problem he faces in these types of places is: 1.He has too many ideas and 2.He thinks every item is suspicious

It also doesn't help him focus that you two are in close quarters for an extended period of time...

He is very capable with ciphers and word puzzles though

Pulls the "leave me behind" move at least once during changing rooms where an actor is chasing you for the dramatic effect: "Go without me my love! I will stall them as you escape!",

"...Julian I literally just unlocked the door, come in already."

Definetely gets jumpscared by the actors every.single.time but also applauds them for the great performance afterwards

Nadia:

Goes from extremely curious to immediately intrigued as soon as the door closes

This really appeals to Nadia's tinkering and problem solving skills and you can tell

There's a good chance that she's managed to solve 75% of the room in the first 15 minutes you are there but will she actually tell you? Of course not

She is just going to hold back a little bit so that the two of you can solve the riddles together and have fun

Unless any of her sisters are there with you....then it's personal and she finishes the room in 30 minutes tops

If there's a case that you two get stuck on trying to solve something, there's no way she'll ask for, much less actually look at the clues the people on the outside give you

The scary ones leave her with a startled "oh!" at best

(I mean she was engaged to Lucio, her married life was basically an escape room at one point)

Very much appreciates the follow up explainations of how everything in the rooms works and asks so many questions in awe, because she feels very inspired by some of the ideas and would like to implement them to her own projects

Muriel:

This man cannot understand the concept of an escape room

When you first come up and suggest it as a date idea he is genuinely baffled by it as you explain

So you're supposed to be stuck?

in a quite small room/s?

and try to figure your way out using stuff from around said room under a time limit?

"….......Why would you want to do that?"

To him this is basically what an anxiety attack looks like

He reluctantly agrees to try it after you say that it could be fun and that there won't be any other people but you two

Just please, DON'T get him into one of those horror themed ones, it won't end well for anyone involved

His height definetely gives you perspective on some clues though and he can be very perceptive when you get stuck on progressing through puzzles

Overall he doesn't do a lot because these types of spaces are pretty crampted

Isn't willing to do this again which is probably fair

Portia:

Say it with me now: PARTNERS.IN.CRIME.

Portia seems like the kind of person who'd really like escape rooms, the thrill of them is just very reminicent of exploring the abandoned wings and secret rooms in the Palace

So when you'd suggest one to her she'd be SO down for it

Loves any chance to spend time together but the feel of being in one of her mystery novels with you makes her especially giddy with excitement

Takes this as an opportunity to see how well you two work together and when you figure out stuff together is the best part for her

Cheek kisses or hugs every time you manage to progress further

She'd be very invested in the story attached to the room you chose

Honestly the employees are able to see how intrigued she is and how much fun she's having that they'll let you two go through everything regardless of time

She might have a slight weakness with not sassing the actors or taking them seriously enough but it's always in good fun and she always apologises

She'll certainly want to do this again

Lucio:

Let's be honest here, he's not the best person for this

The only reason he was so willing to go is because you mentioned it's timed, he's competitive and convinced you two can do it faster than anyone else

....Well. This is more complicated than he thought

He let's you handle the mental aspect of the game while he tackles the physical challenges

He opens doors for you right after you've unlocked them and carries the heavy stuff basically

Is the one guy from that video that gets jumpscared and instead of grabbing you and running away he grabs the actor

Most likely to break something thinking it leads to a secret room/ the exit

Don't worry he can pay for it later

You know this trick certain escape room places pull where they push back the clock a bit so you get to finish it time?

Yeah, they definetely do that to you and he is SO proud holding up the sign that says you escaped with exactly one minute left

Once again, my concerns for media illiteracy has been raised significantly. Right off the bat, I don’t play Gacha games, in my opinion, they are a super cheap tactic a mobile game company uses to try and get you to spend money otherwise, you have to rely on luck and you’re tempted to spend your money. HOWEVER. I love Love and Deepspace. Especially the MC in the game. More under the tag, because I had a LOT to say for a person that does not even touch Gacha games.

Not only can you customize her, she also breaks many typical cliches other otome MCs fall into at times, being servile and passive.

I especially love MC the most in her interactions with Sylus. MC and Sylus is an enemies to lovers trope that I adore as much as friends to lovers.

I love seeing MC be mean and sassy towards Sylus. I joke about her and Sylus having sass-to-sass combat and also I roast her for being oblivious to how Sylus is obviously giving her heart eyes and has the most insane flirt game I’ve ever seen from a male character of all of fiction. Look up any of his cards if you don’t believe me.

But anyways, I’m not here to fangirl and be feral about daddy Sylus (yet) while having a hot take on Gacha games. I’m here to talk about the concerning media illiteracy.

If you hate how MC is mean to Sylus (and again, MC and Sylus have an enemies to lovers love story), then Sylus’s story or just Sylus as a character is not for you. You’re better off just going with the original three guys Xavier, Zayne, and Rafayel. Enemies to lovers is not everyone’s cup of tea, and that is fair. And also, MC started out HATING Sylus when they first met, I mean she pointed a GUN at him. AND Sylus made her pull the trigger while calling her bluff. Did you guys just… miss that part somehow or what?

Saying that one half of an enemies to lovers ship is “too mean” is like saying one half of a friends to lovers ship is “too nice,” or an action movie is “too violent” or a horror movie is ‘too scary.” You get the idea.

I’d much rather MC keeps her brashness and sass when she interacts with Sylus. I already feel very refreshed seeing MC interact with someone like Sylus after seeing how underwhelming The Arcana was about Lucio and that game’s MC getting together.

Yeah, for me, looking back on how Lucio x MC was handled in The Arcana vs how Sylus x MC is handled in Love and Deepspace, I like the latter pairing a lot more. There is a slower build up of their relationship and there are soft moments in the limited cards. #SoftSylus.

But yeah, TL:DR, if you don’t like how mean MC is to Sylus, then relationship dynamics like enemies to lovers is not for you or you just do not understand the concept or appeal of it, and you should probably either play with the other guys or put the game down for a while. I personally like how MC is portrayed when she’s with Sylus, I do not want to see her practically get declawed (Sylus fangirls will get the joke, lol) all because people do not understand the concept of her relationship with Sylus. I am already singing praises for how well written MC is, I’m begging the devs of Love and Deepspace to not screw it up.

This was hard to word, but can you do one where the friend is really nervous about physical contact, but like that they suddently hug or hold the characters hand during a nervous experience and needing comfort or stuff like that and what the charcaters reaction would be like to the readers fist time being comfortable enough to show that physical affection ^^

He freezes when he feels someone grab onto his side and he's ready to tell off whoever it is before he spots you

He can't say anything as he just stares at you before awkwardly relaxing

Inside he's in turmoil because you're actually hugging him

If you try to leave because you think you're making him uncomfortable he'll pull you back if you're okay with it

Lucio

When you hug him he's shaking from happiness and his smile is huge

He loves physical touch so seeing that you're okay with physical touch now makes him super happy

Of course he still makes sure it's okay for him to hug/kiss you

Even if it's just hand holding it makes Lucio super happy

Junkrat

When he spots you hugging him he excitedly squeals before picking you up slightly when he hugs you back

He does quickly set you down and shyly apologize for getting over excited

But if you assure him it's okay and keep hugging him he's going to burst from happiness

He's even more excited if you say that you two can cuddle for once

Roadhog

When he sees you he's too nervous to say anything because he doesn't want to scare you off

So he'll just tuck one arm behind your back and let is rest on your shoulders and leave it at that

If you don't stop hugging him he's smiling under his mask

He's really glad you're comfortable enough to hug him now

Reinhardt

He's as excited as Junkrat but he has a little more self control

So he just hugs you back with a big smile

When you loosen your hold Reinhardt leans back as to not make you uncomfortable

But still even one hug from you is a huge step and he's super excited for you

Zenyatta

Without a second thought he hugs you back

He doesn't ask why you're hugging him he just enjoys the moment

Afterward, he'll ask if this means you're okay with physical touch or if you're still working on it

If you are okay with it expect for him to be holding your hand almost constantly

Genji

He hugs you back but is careful to not hug you too tightly

You can also practically feel the happiness radiating off of him from your hug

After double-checking that you're now comfortable with physical touch he almost always greets you with a hug now

Hanzo

He, like Reaper, freezes when he sees you hugging him but he's frozen because he's touch starved

The second he accepts that you're hugging him and he hugs you back you can practically feel him melt into you

He never wants this hug to end but out of fear of making you uncomfortable he lets go

But if you start giving him more hugs he's on cloud nine

Brigitte (platonic)

She's a very lovey friend in the first place so when you are comfortable with physical touch she's estatic

She especially loves receiving hugs from you

And if you're comfortable with it you're getting a hug everytime she sees you as a 'hello' and as a 'goodbye'

Sigma (platonic)

He's super surprised you're hugging him but he's definitely not complaining

He reaches down and reciprocates your hug with a smile

He doesn't receive hugs from friends that often since from Sombra he normally receives a fistbump or such

So you being comfortable hugging him makes him feel like he's reached the ultimate friendship level with you

I tried to write this with my limited knowlage of how American schools work (that i picked up from tv shows and cartoons). I'm from the Balkans and our schools are a bit different, so if there's anything inaccurate i apologise!! (Also this is based on highschool bc I'm in highschool)

Asra

• They would teach art

• One of the favourite teachers in the entire school

• None of the assignments they give are what the school board tehnically require, but they encourage creativity

• Also he has no care when it comes to grading so you can come to class with a roll of toilet paper and still get an A

• There is no learning in his class, it's more like an extended break

• I imagine they don't even show up half of the time

• It's a miracle they haven't been fired

• (The miracle is called Nadia)

Nadia

• As a teacher, i think she'd do history or geography

• But overall, she's definetly the principle

• If the school is short staffed, she can definitely multi-task

• As a teacher, she'd be very strict

• No talking, no whispering, no phones...really follows every rule

• And she's a little harsh on the grading too

• But it isn't hard to get a good grade if you listen to her lectures and take notes

• She's also very willing to help and really aims to teach

• If you ask, she'll find the time in her day to go over everything with you

Julian

• The obvious answer is chemistry and/or biology

• But i feel like his classes would be so much more

• He gets really immersed in teaching and he knows how to hold the students attention

• Half the time doesn't even notice the bell

• He's not a strict teacher by any means, but he does want everyone to learn

• When it comes to grading he's very flexible

• If he thinks you understand the subject, he'll give you a good grade even if it's not EXACTLY by the book

• Of course, he's open to helping students with his own subject but if you need help with other subjects, he's willing to help in that department too

• If you wanna get out of a class, just ask him about his day before he starts the lecture. He'll start rambling about random things until the class ends

Portia

• She would teach language and literature

• She's also very liked by the entire school

• Puts her whole soul into teaching

• Like there's no way you're coming out of her class uneducated

• She decorates her classroom and has a LOT of plants

• In fact, she probably takes care of most school plants

• And shows the janitors how to properly take care of them if she can't

• Teams up with Asra for most school projects and decorations

• Her classes are very calming but if she's really passionate about a certain subject, be prepared

• Will also ramble before class and talk to the students, but she's more focused then her brother

• Spends her breaks in the library or with the lunch ladies

• Also the type of teacher to bring snacks every day into the teachers lounge

• Honestly, everyone likes her

• I'll be honest, I've been wracking my brain about this for so long but i cannot for the life of me see him as a teacher

• In pre school, maybe

• But with high-schoolers? No...

• I do see him as a janitor, however

• He'd be perfect for the job

• The kids wouldn't want to mess with him because he seems mean and scary

• (And because Asra can also be mean and scary)

• He's very fast and only focuses on doing his work as fast as he can

• He's a PE teacher

• If you're in his class all i have to say is....good luck

• Most students skip his class

• EVERY class

• He will work you TO THE BONE

• He doesn't understand that high-schoolers can't compare to his professionally trained self and expects everyone to meet him at his level

• For a PASSING grade

• If you want a GOOD grade you'll have to impress him

• And before you think he should've been fired, that isn't possible

• HE'S FUNDING THE SCHOOL

• Nadia is aware of his..."teachings" but she can't do much about it

• With him gone, half the school goes too!

• Eventually everyone tells him to calm down and he does

• (But he's really passive agressive about it)

• The students forgive him cause he's hot

Rare smiles

I decided to add shipping, I would type a rare smile for each MLI;

Kyle;

Asra;

One of the rare smiles is one shared between them. It's a small subtle smile typically mirrored across a room or at a table as a subtle. 'Are you hearing this shit?' with the other usually having a subtle body language reply such as a tiny half shrug or returning the smile back in agreement.

Nadia;

One of the rare smiles for Nadia is a full-on grin. By that, I mean not a soft smile or a more elegant one, but the type of smile that you have no control over. The kind where you don't even realize you're grinning until it's pointed out. While similar to a genuine smile that Nadia gives often, this is more intense and less caring about appearance.

On the reverse, a rare smile from Kyle is a very small, typically lopsided smile. The reason this smile is rare is that it's typically one Kyle does without realizing it when feeling extremely awkward and nervous at the same time. It's either a way to deflect these feelings by trying to smile to show themselves their calm or a way to appear like their happy. It's hard to tell due to it being more of a reflex than actually thought about behavior.

Hunter;

Julian;

With Julian, it's a well-rested smile. A soft smile of a well-rested Dr. Similar to his normal smile, it's just a bit deeper and just a bit more sincere even if he doesn't notice any difference himself. Hunter is great at telling the two smiles apart.

In another uno reverse situation, Hunter's rare smile, especially around Julian, is their sleepy smile. Dispite being just as eger to work to exhaustion, this actually typically leaves Hunter either tired or fully rested. When waking up, they tend to jump into full awakeness, making one of the rare smiles for Hunter being during the limited times when their sleepy rather than awake or tired.

Portia;

A rare smile shared between them is a double knife cat. If you see them exchange this smile, you know shit is about to go down. The reason this is rare is that usually, Portia is able to deal with entitled people, but sometimes you need someone who's not afraid to lose some social status. Thus, Hunter is called into action with a single smile.

Muriel;

A rare smile is one shared between them. Typically, it's Hunter giving Muriel a subtle smile, warning him that their about to do something. With Muriel ether returning it as a 'go ahead' or keeping his sharp look as a 'don't'. Typically, whatever Hunter ends up doing leads to them getting in some sort of trouble. However, sometimes it's needed, especially if it's to get attention away from Muriel when their out and about. Being a city hero has some downsides when you don't like attention.

Bluebell;

Lucio;

For someone who loves to smile a lot, you'd think their wouldn't be many rare smiles. However, one of the rarest smiles is one of safety and security. A small, gentle smile usually shared while starting to fall asleep or after waking up. Small one filled with security.

With Bluebell being Bluebell, one of the rarest smiles from them is a genuine grin. A big bright smile where, for those moments, nothing else exists when they forget their insecurities and worries, even if only for a few precious moments.

Because you didn't specify what kind of headcanons I'm just gonna throw down whatever I got off the top of my head rn that I didn't include in the health headcanons. Also just fyi I flip flop between certain headcanons mostly because there isn't enough info about him at this very moment, so it's kinda like "what flavour of pants do I crave today?"

ANYWAYS pants time

For a while I headcanoned him as like 27-28 at the absolute youngest because the limited information we have about him gave me young hotshot entrepreneur "thirty under 30" vibes.

Like I can so clearly in a modern AU see his face plastered all over magazines about this young man who worked his ass off to go from rags to riches. (I'm thinking about Bruce Wayne in the opening from Arkham City. "It's billionaire, Vicki. Millionaires are so last year.")

He is unrecognizable from his youth counterpart today. He was this scrawny child, hair matted and tangled and perpetually dirty. Always had some bruises and cuts and scrapes, crooked teeth, the works. With all the money in his pocket, he's been able to afford top of the line medical care, dental treatments, expensive luxury soaps and shampoos, and only the finest of clothing. It's astounding but also horrifying to see how different the two are.

It's not necessarily his favourite food but his comfort foods are whatever super cheap fresh hot meals he could get his hands on. He still thinks back to the very first actually expensive meal he bought with his own money every now and again.

He would never admit this, of course. They'd all laugh at him if they found out he enjoyed peasant meals.

On occasion, though, he will remake one of these really cheap meals for a midnight snack.

He's not a bad cook, it's just all the meals he knows how to make are less about flavour and more about practicality/edibility. That said, though, he knows how to make a meal made from like five ingredients not only last for quite a while, but also taste really good.

Sugar daddy material, he would love nothing more than to spoil his darling rotten, HOWEVER he is not interested in someone only dating him for his money. He wants someone who will let him pamper them, but will also be there in the event everything falls apart and he once again has nothing.

Constantly has to remind everyone that the Northland Bank is SEPERATE from the Fatui. He needs everyone to know that the success of the bank is not because of the Fatui, it's because of him. Vice versa, while the bank's success may have gotten the attention of the Fatui, him becoming a harbinger is because he worked his ass off to get that position.

There is no information on his family or if he even has one, but you know how Lucio from The Arcana has that portrait of his mother all dressed up in regal attire, despite the fact he was raised in a tribe? I think Pantalone would have a bunch of portraits of his family all over his manor(s) sort of like that.

If he ever has kids, he would be so torn between spoiling them because he certainly has the money to do that, but he also cannot stand the snobby little brats of his business partners and does not want his children acting like that.

What I sent to the discord on the new support hero Juno

So here's my take on her since I finally had the chance to watch her trailer and she's currently playable for very limited time (I think today is the last day) so I goofed around in Practice Range.

She's a solid support hero. Her abilities are nice, I like the speed boost ring cause I think it'll help enable certain tanks (reinhardt) without needing a Lucio on the team bc it gives speed boost to start a fight and is on short enough cool down that it can be maybe used again at the end of a fight. Her healing/damaging missiles are not super strong, and will divide between how many targets you have. If there is one target (enemy), then they have the potential to do a lot of damage, but honestly it's not worth it imo to use on just one enemy. I'd rather use the healing potential on my friendly tank if possible. Her glide ability is only horizontal, which means she needs to use her double jump ability if she wants to be higher up, she's actually not very high in the sky box at all.

Her primary fire is like Ana's: heals when you shoot friendlies, and damages when you shoot enemies. Except Juno's damage/healing is very low per burst. She has 180 rounds, I don't remember how many bullets per burst, but it's not a lot of healing/damage. I like this concept in heros, especially supports. Helps force a balance between damaging and healing

Overall, I don't think she's broken, I think for a support she's actually really well balanced already

Now as for her personality and voice lines: I think she's fucking annoying 😅

She gets one point for calling Reinhardt "Sir Wilhelm" because he IS a knight

I think she's going to be a lot like Kiriko in the sense she's gonna get a lot of skins and stuff pretty frequently, but she's got an iconic appearance and has been a favorite since her teaser/leak.

She seems very simple in the sense she's super easy to play and get value out of, but it's not broken. She has a good skill ceiling though for her knowing how to most effectively use her abilities to enable your team during team fights

Overall I actually really like her and can't wait to be able to play more of her

Nadia: one of the people more likely to accidentally end up in a rut, if only because she gets caught up in work and she's content with simply having you by her side. always quick to remedy it if you point it out, taking up to a week off for another yacht honeymoon

Muriel: he likes predictability. he doesn't get bored from the same day-to-day life, if only because each day is another opportunity to discover another new thing about you. and then explore it. you have a new interest? he's picking up an adjacent hobby to enjoy side-by-side

Portia: if anything, the struggle in your relationship is holding onto routine when she spends half her life on a boat as Vesuvia's emissary. sneaking off and exploring a foreign capital happens every couple months, the precious moments are lazy mornings in the cottage

Count Lucio - Anniversary

I was wandering around the palace searching for something to do. I married Lucio a year ago. It was fun at first but then he had other things to do, but now it’s boring not having anyone around. 

Tomorrow is our anniversary, I haven't gotten him anything yet despite all the time on my hands because Lucio refuses to let me work. 

I sigh before walking to our shared bathroom to change and go to the market to hopefully find someone that would be to Lucio’s interest. 

On my way to the market a shop caught my eye. It had a golden sign and said “Memory Globe”. Being curious, I walked inside. 

The bells attached to the door rang as I entered and an older woman welcomed me in. “Hello! Hello! Welcome to my shop, anything in particular you are looking for dear?” She spoke in a lively tone. 

I shook my head, “I’m just wondering what you sell Ma’am.” 

“Ooo that’s a great question, we’ll it’s exactly what the store is called. I sell memory globes.” 

“What exactly are memory globes?” I asked confused but intrigued. 

“I use a spell to put memories you select into a clear crystal ball and they play kind of like a slideshow.” She smiled. 

I think this would be the perfect gift for Lucio, I can put memories of us two together and place them where we can rewatch the best memories of our lives. 

I smiled back at the woman, “How much for a globe and how many memories can we choose?” 

“It’s 15 gold coins per memory.” 

I’m limiting myself to spending 45 coins on Lucios gift, so three memories will have to do. 

“I would like 3 memories,” I say as I hand her the coins. 

“Thank you, follow me to make the globe.” She says as she leads me down a hallway. 

Purple tensile is draped over the arch of the hallway, crystal lanterns float around, and the smell of lavender fills the air. Very soft music takes place in the distance. 

She leads me to a room with a table in the center, two chairs surrounding it. She waves for me to sit down, and I do. 

In the center of the table is a globe that looks empty. She grabs a book that says Spell Book on the cover. She turns to the page she needs and looks at me. 

“I want you to envision the three memories you would like to choose, have them in the front of your mind. When you are ready, tell me and I will begin.” She tells me. 

I begin to search my mind for the best memories. 

I chose one with me and Lucio stargazing. Another with me and lucio baking cookies together, even though he burnt the cookies. The last one I picked was the one with me and Lucio dancing barefoot in our pajamas in the moonlight on the balcony. 

I smiled to myself remembering all these good times. 

“Ready.” 

She did her spell and before I knew it I was watching my memories inside the globe, I giggled when I saw myself throw flour in Lucius face. The woman smiled at me, “I hope you like it.” 

“I love it, thank you so much.” 

“Of course.” 

I grabbed the globe and put it in my bag. 

I waved at the woman before making my way back to the Palace, smiling to myself all the way home. 

As I entered the Palace I saw Lucio pacing. “What wrong, love?” I asked. 

He stops pacing and turns his head to look at me. The next second he’s making a dead sprint towards me. 

I yelp as he engulfs me in a hug. 

“You didn’t tell me you were leaving. I thought something happened!” He said, voice shaking. 

I rubbed his back, “I’m sorry, I was in a hurry and it didn’t cross my mind to let someone know.” 

He huffed before pulling back, “You better remember the next time you want to go somewhere or else I might have a heart attack.” 

I laughed, “You’re being over dramatic.” 

He frowns, “You never know Y/n!” 

I rolled my eyes continuing down the hall towards our room, “Whatever you say darling.”

He follows behind me. “You know what tomorrow is right?” He asks me, squeezing my hand. 

I want to mess with him, “No? What’s tomorrow?” I say, trying my best to play dumb. 

He gasps and stops in his tracks. “How could you forget?!” 

I burst out laughing, “I’m kidding, it’s our anniversary.” 

He looks offended by my outburst, “That’s not a funny joke babe.” he pouts. 

“It’s definitely when I get to see you act like that.” I say smiling, beginning to walk again. Lucio not following far behind, still upset over my ‘joke’. 

He soon got over as we reached our room, “You missed dinner, so you want to eat?” he asked me. 

“No thank you, I'm not hungry.” I say opening our door. 

I placed my bag down, which made a noise when it connected with the solid surface. This gained Lucios attention. 

“What did you get love.” He asked as he tried to grab the bag, which I pulled out of his reach. 

“Guess you’ll find out tomorrow won’t you?” 

He whined, “If it’s my gift I want it noowww!” 

I rolled my eyes again, “You’re such a baby.” 

“Am not!”

“Are to.”

“Y/N!” 

“Lucio!”

“Please?”

I was taken aback because Lucio never says please. 

I weigh my options in my mind, eventually giving in. 

“Okay, fine.” I say reaching in my bag to grave the globe. I hand it to him with both hands. 

He watches our memories play with wide eyes which quickly soften. I watch as a wave of different emotions cross his features with each memory. 

“Do you like it?” I asked, afraid I didn’t pick the right gift. 

“I love it, thank you darling.” He says, kissing me before placing the globe on his bedside nightstand, “Now when I can’t sleep at night I can just watch this and fall in love with you even more.”

I blush at his comment then smile, “I’m glad you like it. But it’s only fair if you give my gift early too, you know!” 

He looks at me and pretends to look hurt, “I am your gift!”

I laugh, “Please return it!” 

Lucio laughs with me, “Not the response I was hoping for.” He says.

He walks over to our closest and opens it. He walks inside and walks out with a box. 

He sets the box down in front of me with a wide smile. 

I cautiously lift the lid to find a puppy. 

“AWW you shouldn't have!” I say as I lift the dog out of the box, “This cute thing was sitting in our closet this whole time!”

“No, I just got him today, don’t worry, love. Do you like him?” Lucio asks me. 

“Of course I do, thank you so much. Happy anniversary dear.” 

“Happy anniversary darling.” He says laying on the bed, I soon join him. 

I never let go of the puppy. 

“What are you going to name him?” Lucio asks me as he strokes my hair. 

“(You Choose)” I say, petting (D/n).

“I like that name, hopefully Mercedes and Melchior like him too.” 

“I’m sure they will.”

“Yeah, I think so too.”

“I love you Lucio.” I say kissing his forehead, before getting comfortable to go to sleep. 

“I love you Y/n.” He said, still running his fingers through my hair. 

We fell asleep like that.

🪙 he's great with magic! he always has been. it's a family business for a reason for sure. he tends to specialize in earth related things (he's great with plant names) and really struggle with water related things (like when Asra asks him to make some water he finds it very difficult). fire comes easily to him as he teaches it to Julian as a simple spell (while Asra struggles with fire magic), and I don't remember a time when the player has utilized air magic so I'm not sure what to say about it. I do know that within the context of tarot air can represent intelligence (if I got that right) and that definitely applies to Danny

ANYWAY ANYWAY as for special powers, I'll use the one he got from his Patron Arcana, which is the power to break The Devil's chains. he can also create chains! such as binding The Devil

🪙 honestly he's kind of simultaneously open minded and stubborn LMAO like he's really curious about the world but he's so by the book in a lot of ways. like if he hasn't read about it it does not exist. like Lucio literally tells him "can't you use magic for blood and fire and explosions" and the player goes "where'd he get an idea like that that's not how magic works" or something except it LITERALLY IS HOW IT WORKS because Lucio uses blood in his magic (slices open his feet) and he uses fire in his summoning ritual. and Morga uses blood in her magic (slices open her palms) and she uses fire magic in her battle with Lucio. so the player is operating at a limited perspective, and by extension so does Danny. he just....... doesn't know anything about the South and assumes he knows everything about magic. he's open to learn of course but he kind of thinks he knows everything when he doesn't and tends to get humbled quite a bit

First 2 hours with Venture

So i decided at the beginning of this season that I would learn Venture in competitive because I am a monster of a person and I don't have much to lose that I can't gain back.

Venture is pretty sweet when the comp and the map supports them. I have noticed a few things initially about their playstyle and where i get the most value and where I get punished the most.

Pros: They get a lot of value in KOTH maps and maps that have tighter areas/chokes (King's Row, Havana 2nd, Shambali 2nd, BlizzardWorld, Circuit Royal 3rd to name a couple)

Extremely high burst potential!

Incredible mobility that can put you into some really good positions.

Ability usage also grants overhealth which can be great to give your supports enough reaction time to what you're doing.

Let's be honest... they have one of the most joyful mannerisms for a character in the game of overwatch (I literally smile when I am playing them because of all the random voice lines)

Can be a good tank buster at times but I feel like playing them like an assassin is a better use of their kit.

Cons: Very limited range which does not work as easily on certain maps with certain comps against certain comps. Anything with long sightlines with a more passive turtle type team will have you either feeding or waiting to engage with long bouts of downtime. (Havana 1st and 3rd, Circuit Royal 1st sort of, Dorado 2nd I felt some of the pain points on)

You can be put into some very punishing positions if your team doesn't follow up on your aggression. This goes without saying that mismanagement of their abilities will also punish you depending on what you are doing.

You can be countered pretty easily by Pharah and Echo. Long range DPS heroes can also be a problem if you can't close the gap or have someone else helping you with them. Securing a kill on a good Mercy is challenging and requires the use of most of your abilities (but has a great voice line if you do kill her out of the sky).

The animation delay for tunneling seems like an eternity in a team fight.

For tanks I have really liked playing Venture with Reinhardt, Doomfist, and Junker Queen the most. If they follow up on your targets it is extremely devastating. Also, you have the ability to follow up on theirs. For DPS I like playing with a Tracer, Ashe, Echo, Mei the most. For supports I like Lucio and Kiriko but don't mind a Moira although getting vanilla Nano'd by an Ana is kinda crazy how much dmg you can actually do.

Overall I think they are a great addition to the DPS lineup. Their skill expression is very engaging and challenging but they aren't so tough that you can't get value from playing them rather plainly. I have noticed how on maps that I have good flanking routes and can sneak behind the team get a negative response from the enemy team claiming how broken they are meanwhile the moments you have to play like Brigitte they feel extremely underpowered. I feel like this a healthy balance.

I just think they are hella neat.

Below the cut I will have some highlights and potg as Venture. Mostly it is comp but I played them in a 4 stack in quick play for a couple of games with other plat+ players despite my dps being silver.

Music. Heart should be music based. Microphone weapon? Literal vocal chords body slot? You can reuse performer mecha girls designs. Magic? Shielding Melodies. Feel one’s pain through song? LUCIO.

oh. my god. oh my god that's it. that's IT!!!!

oh my god that's literally PERFECT, I was so set on just going further with the ballgown-shaped design that I didn't think of anything else to integrate into it. but sound. SOUND. MUSIC. AAAAAAAAHHH THAT'S ACTUALLY PERFECT!!! Her existing abilities can be rethemed perfectly into that, and just thinking about how to make a music-themed visual design for a tank has my mind racing with all the fun ways that could be done

As exciting as this idea is I do sadly have work tomorrow, so I can't go all-in on fleshing out this concept like I wish I could right this moment, but hey, at least I got something to think about in my downtime then!

Though you do bring up something I wanna clarify real quick, and that's MeckaRocka. y'know, that OC group I made right before Art Fight started and then made Mirianna partway through. See, I do wanna do more with those characters, but not as a part of the same world as War Bots. I know it's confusing, but in my mind the big aesthetic difference between the two is that MeckaRocka is in a high-tech near future setting (y'know like that one game), while War Bots is in a comparatively low-tech post apocalyptic setting.

Despite technically being thousands of years in the future, the actual time the story takes place in is fairly basic. The bots themselves exist, but their society is still fairly limited to the essentials even after about 500 years. Most of the cast I try to keep feeling very "mechanical", you can see the moving parts and most abilities have at least a theoretically plausible physical explanation, with maybe a bit of partial cartoon logic to make some abilities work. It I think also adds to the charm of the characters, it helps a lot of them feel like charming underdogs who are making it by on the bare minimum gear and raw tenacity. The exceptions to this are deliberately sparse. Velenna (who still needs a visual overhaul but the idea stands) is a scientist, so her outfit and gear is relatively sleek and modern-looking, which also plays off her harsh, "sterile" personality. Martinet is a pile of classic secret agent jokes so his stuff is similarly clean, but is more "high tech" in a cartoony way. Ezela meanwhile is more high-tech because of her story reasons, and also it fits with her theme of electricity to have more advanced tech powering her abilities. And Sorsier... I retain plausible deniability on how their abilities work until further notice, but their theme of magic/""magic"" makes it so they get to have abilities that'd be harder to explain with other characters. With MeckaRocka meanwhile, the characters are very explicitly high tech, and that difference is apparent in their designs. They're much more extravagant compared to the more "bare essential" War Bots designs.

Even the basic principles of how they're functionally built are consistent with this different theming. War Bots characters have basic hinged metal limbs, like big action figures, while the MeckaRocka characters have bendy Fugitoid-style limbs. The MeckaRocka members also just have more high tech superfluous details, like extra lights, LED faces instead of mechanical eyes (some War Bots have screen faces too but shush), and in general just are made to look "fancier". Which not only works with the tech level, but also their roles in their respective worlds. The War Bots cast is made up of what are just ordinary folks trying to stay alive in a hostile world, while the MeckaRocka gang is a synthetic pop idol group who are specifically built for that role.

I say all this just to explain that the two worlds are deliberately separate. I know it's a little confusing to have two different robot OC projects going at once, but I hope this clarifies why they're different. Fun fact actually: Edia, the ironically heart-themed lead of MeckaRocka, was also first made for the same project that Wilderoad was originally made for! The MeckaRocka cast and world is informed by Edia and the story she was originally made for, while I took Wilderoad and made them the starting point for the War Bots universe. That original story had robots in a more Star Wars style role, where they're essentially fancy property but have the capacity for advanced thought and personality. Even then Wilderoad was a rogue in this system who took up bounty hunting after breaking away from their intended purpose, which in a more distant way also applies to their current role. MeckaRocka is a much less defined story and world right now (to the point where "story" and "world" feel like hyperbole), so the exact parameters on how it all works are much more in question. I think it'd be interesting for that story to explore themes of "how do I find meaning in my existence" and "what does it mean to be human" in a super interesting lens, which I don't think makes sense in the world of War Bots where they explicitly do have more or less the same capacity of humans, and don't feel the need to make the comparison when there aren't any alive to compare to.

All this to say: I like my robot pop band exactly where it is. And I don't mean that in a negative way, I think it's a cool suggestion!! And I'm not above swapping characters between universes (as said above), but it just doesn't feel right for reasons that I figured would be worth elaborating on. I really did leave MeckaRocka in the dumpster for the past few months, and while it's still definitely gonna be a backburner thing, I would like to flesh it out as a fun minor story. I think the ideal format would be a webcomic at most, maybe some more long-form written-only content too. But that's the level of material that'd be supplementary media for War Bots, so it's kind of unfortunately a matter of priorities. And y'all should know I suck at those by now, I was up at 5 AM last night brainstorming a Kirby PvP tactics RPG based on an existing Bug-themed PvP tactics RPG that's also been chilling in the brain dumpster for months now, and that had a programmed google sheet for damage calculations and everything. I have enough stuff in my brain to make three more polls of equal option count to the one that I made last week, between War Bots, Role Requeue, Splatoon OCs, MeckaRocka, the Bug RPG, my superhero story, my fighting game concept, and that long-term big game project City of Desos that was the initial home of Edia and Wilderoad.

this is a ramble by the way, I should be asleep now, I got excited with the Heart breakthrough but then I got THOROUGHLY derailed explaining why the robots go in separate boxes.

ANYWAYS, initial point, this is an ask response, and responding to that ask, I would like to formally thank you for this suggestion, it really has helped me crack the code on where to take this character and I'm extremely excited to finish figuring out her kit and giving her a really cool design now that it's all finally clicked. Tips for playing Overwatch, to dps and tank mains, from a support main

I’m in an overwatch mood tonight so I’m just gonna spam some thoughts before I go to bed.

As a support main, fuck you

Protect me if I’m getting targeted, I can’t heal you if I’m dead and I’m very squishy

I also can’t heal you if you’re halfway across the map, stay with the group. I don’t play Kiriko so I can’t just teleport to you and most support characters are slow af.

If you charge into the enemy team alone, I’m not following you. Don’t even ask for heals.

Supports’ main priority is to keep ourselves alive. I will leave my last teammate with low health to die if the enemy team starts to turn to me. Call it a tactical retreat.

Again, I can’t heal you if I’m dead.

Stop feeding the enemy team. Wait for at least one support before you go charging in so you don’t just die again.

I have to turn off game chat periodically bc if someone’s being an asshole to the supports in chat I will just stop healing them. Even if it means we loose. Be an asshole —> get no heals.

Sorjorn you do not need heals. Stop asking

Ash you do not need heals. Stop asking

Genji you are actively dying. Come back here and get some heals

I can kill a tank at full health with a pocket healer on my own as a support character with that thing. It’s pretty op if you actually use it

Moira has very limited healing capabilities, so sorry if I’m not healing you right now, it’s recharging
