HEART'S FATE - CHAPTER 38

*Warning: Adult Content*

Having established that Miguel was, while shaken, otherwise unharmed by the encounter with his mother, we reconvene to discuss our plans while the children play hide and seek in the sprawling house.

As lunchtime approaches, Ambrose Thorne orders a half-dozen pizzas from a nearby restaurant and boxes now litter the room.

"Could it be true?" Martin Hunter asks, directing the question at his brother Alpha Dane Hunter. "What Elena said. Could Miguel really not be a Wolf?"

The Alpha furrows his brows and leans forward in his seat, elbows resting on his knees.

"I don't see how but I'm not a geneticist. Don't even know if genetics has anything to do with it. Mom or Dad might know more."

Martin huffs in frustration and sets his plate aside.

"I thought you had to learn all the Wolf lore and shit to be an Alpha. Don't you remember?"

Dane rubs a hand over the stubble dusting his jaw.

"To be honest, I didn't pay all that much attention in 'Wolf Sunday school,' Martin," he says.

"It seemed more useless than math. Why would I care what Stanislaus the Betrayer did, or how Curriculum got his fur back from the Fae? They were just fairy tales."

At his side, his mate, Julian Hart gently elbows him in the ribs.

"Yeah, I might have rethought that position by now, considering."

Dane shoots him a look.

"I have. But apparently absorbing and retaining a shit-ton of information is easier when you're a kid than it is when you're pushing forty. I'm working on it, considering I have two little Alphas of my own to pass it on to but like I said, I don't recall anything about Wolves having a kid who's not a Wolf."

"Even if only one parent is a Wolf, the offspring should be full-blooded Wolves," Noah comments.

"Look at Luna and Luca."

Julian grimaces.

"They might not be the best examples. They basically shouldn't exist to begin with."

Having listened in silence so far, curiosity gets the better of the Merman at last.

"Who is their mother?" Skylar ask.

Julian's brows lift.

"Martin hasn't told you?"Julian's brows lift.

Martin winces.

"It didn't come up and... I didn't know how to say it."

Julian rolls his eyes.

"Technically, I'm their mother. I carried them. It's a Fae thing."

"Ah."

Skylar laughs and settle back in his seat.

"For a moment I feared you'd say they were Elena's."

Julian narrows his bright purple eyes at me.

"You don't seem surprised. I feel like you should be more freaked out right now."

Skylar waves a hand.

"It's not so strange. The Mer-people can do the same, when needed."

At my side, Martin chokes on his drink and doubles over, coughing.

Skylar pats his mate’s back and wonder if perhaps he ought to see a doctor about his swallow reflex.

He seems to get things down the wrong pipe a lot.

When he's mostly recovered, Skylar turn his attention to Noah.

"Speaking of esoteric lore and special knowledge, how does this mystical bookstore of yours work, anyway?"

Noah blinks at his brother’s Mate.

‘Noah’s resemblance to Martin is uncanny, though Skylar would never mistake one for the other.

"I'm not entirely sure, to be honest," Noah asks. "Shanti tried to explain it to me as being part of a larger 'cosmic library' tied to multiple realms and the karmic journeys of souls across countless incarnations, or something, but I don't fully understand it. All I know is, if the knowledge you need at a particular moment in time is available to you, you'll find it there. The problem is recognizing it. It's seldom what you expect, and often not what you want."

"I see. Unfortunately, I fear not much information regarding my people exists outside our own libraries."

"You have libraries?" Noah asks, the keen interest in his voice eliciting a smile from his mate.

"How? I mean, surely you can't have paper books."

"Our 'paper' is made from seaweeds and other materials, not wood pulp," Skylar says. "It's quite durable."

"What about ink? How do you transfer it to the page without it just..." Noah waves a hand, "...washing away?"

With sudden understanding, the merman laughs.

"Ah, I see the problem. I'm afraid that, in all the excitement, I haven't explained properly. My people live beneath the water but not entirely in the water. The palace and many of our dwellings, places where we eat, rest, study or do anything for which the buoyancy of water is less suited than the stability of air, are dry."

Noah frowns.

"How far beneath the surface do you live?"

"Several hundred meters at most. Far enough down to be invisible from above, but not so far as to be beyond the reach of light."

"And you have dry habitations down there," he states.

Skylar nods and gestures at himself.

"This form is as natural as my other and even in the sea, the Mer-people spend about equal time in each. Legs serve us well in dry places, while our aquatic form is for travel, for dancing and for battle. All our athletic pursuits require fins."

"But how does it work?" Noah asks, his indomitable curiosity summoning another smile to my lips.

"From the sounds of it, your city is ancient and unless the merfolk had advanced technologies, I don't understand how you could have chambers of air so far below the surface."

Smiling, Skylar shrugs.

"As your brother is not a geneticist, so I am not an engineer. How do a Wolf's cells rearrange themselves when you Shift? What chemical signals trigger your transformation? What secrets lie in your DNA that let your bodies contain two forms at once?"

He shakes his head.

"You are right: Thassos is ancient and most of the structures were built in the distant past, when Athens was the nearest great city on land. Much of it is indeed submerged in water, our gardens, parks, theaters, places of worship and other localities that might draw a large crowd. But the rest, the palace and many smaller dwellings, are dry inside. I don't know how, the best I can say is 'magic.'"

Noah blinks at Skylar.

"Fair enough, I guess."

Martin laughs.

The sound is unexpectedly beautiful and as Skylar turns to look at him, he feels his heart lift.

That Martin can smile and laugh after everything that has happened over the course of the last day and a half is a small bit of magic in itself.

"Noah's always been the skeptical one," Martin says, grinning at his brother. "He's a werewolf who works in a bookshop owned by a Nagi and he's mated to a dragon but it's the physics that has him stumped."

"You really read it?" Martin asks, his expression betraying his surprise.

Noah scoffs.

"Of course. I've read all your books."

Martin clears his throat and looks away.

"I didn't know that."

Noah's smile fades and his tone softens.

"I probably should have told you," he says. "It just seemed like..." he trails off and sighs, rubbing his brow. "I don't know what it seemed like. Shit, Martin. More than Pack, we're brothers. You think you have something to be guilty for?" he adds, shaking his head.

"Forget it. Yeah, you fucked up big time but only after ten years of nobody noticing anything was wrong. You seemed fine and we were all too absorbed in our own problems to imagine you might have your own. We're all to blame. And yeah, I've read your books. I buy them as soon as they come out. They're really good."

Martin presses his knuckles to his eyes and takes a deep breath, which he releases in a laugh.

"Thank you," he says. "That actually... That means a lot. Especially since I may have written my last one."

"What do you mean?" Skylar asks, frowning at his Mate.

Martin sighs.

"The publisher wants more but with everything going on now and the timeline they gave me... I don't know if I can manage it."

"You can write at your own pace, surely," Skylar says. "You needn't rush."

Martin gives his lover a look.

"I do, if I want to afford things like a house and food," he says.

"Ah... another oversight on my part," Skylar says. "Martin, do you imagine street artists and part-time art teachers make a lot of money? Or that this amulet is the only jewel a prince would own? That sea chest in my room is full of treasure."

Martin gapes at him.

"But you live in a van."

Skylar shrugs.

"I'm a simple man and my needs are few. I only sell off a pearl or trinket now and then to get by. But in truth, you never need work again, if you don't wish to."

Martin stares at him without blinking for a moment, then shakes his head.

"The rug's been pulled from under me so many times recently, I'm just gonna stay seated."

Looping his arm around his Mate’s shoulders, Skylar pulls Martin against him and kiss the side of his head.

"If the rug you've been standing on is a magic carpet, it might still take you for a ride."

Martin leans into Skylar.

"I actually wouldn't mind seeing Thassos, someday. It sounds... beautiful."

"It is. And if I could take you there now, I would, as the answers to our predicament are likeliest found at the source. Sadly, the amulet itself prevents it."

Ambrose leans forward, rubbing his jaw.

"If you could bring Martin to Thassos, how would you do it? Wolves don't breathe water, as far as I'm aware."

"I would enchant him with my voice," Skyylar says. "Put him in a kind of... suspended animation for the journey. Then, once in Thassos, he could receive the blessing of the sea, if he chose. Although I'm honestly not sure how it would work, for a Wolf."

Ambrose frowns.

"Do you happen to have ponds or pools in your 'dry areas,' such that might serve as reflective surfaces?"

"In the temples, yes," the merman says. "Why?"

Ambrose and Noah share a glance.

"I may have an idea. Nagas are freshwater creatures, as far as I'm aware but I recall Shanti saying once that 'all water is one water' to them. It could be worth a try."

Noah sighs.

"She also said Nagas don't get involved in the affairs of others, generally speaking. But I guess it won't hurt to ask. I'll let her know we want to talk to her."

"In the meantime," Ambrose says, "I propose we go shop for some books."

Austin continued to hold Thorn even as the last ember of Malachi's burning body finally dissipated and turned to ash. He kissed his head, rubbing his back as he leaned into him. "It's over, sweetheart, you don't have to hide anymore. It's all over, he can't hurt anyone anymore." He said softly, pulling Thorn back a little to look in his eyes. "Do you want to go back to my place to rest? Kye will probably go with Luca and Cody. Luca lives in the townhouse next to mine." He asks.

Luca watched over Kye as he rested, lightly stroking his hair as he watched the gentle rise and fall of his chest as he breathed. He looked over at Cody who was watching him as well, and gave him a small smile. He didn't know Cody but he was sure that Lady Fate picked the three of them to be soulmates for a reason. "Let's take him back to my place so he can rest. It's not far from here." He said softly to Cody. "Austin you and Thorn can ride with us since you live next door."

"That sounds like a good plan. Kye needs his rest to continue healing." Cody nods, Mason humming next to them in agreement.

Joel melts against Gryffin, loving the way the younger man made him feel so safe and secure. "I love you too, cheonsa." Joel hums softly, leaning over to kiss his love lovingly. He stood there for a moment just enjoying the feeling of being held, taking Gryffin's hand and gently placing it on his belly. "Our son loves you too, Daddy." He says with a small smile.

Jacob felt the shift in their bond and saw the tears in his love's eyes and he knew he was thinking about his siblings and their broken bond. "You can all heal now, baby. You can start to mend your bond." He says kissing his head. He stood with Dax in his arms before hr remembered something. "Come on, I owe you a dance." The knight grins, guiding his soulmate to the ashes of three man who hurt him. He held him close, humming a quiet tune as they danced on his ashes like he and Dax promised each other they would.

Danny could feel the way Ezra's emotions seemed to be all over the place in that moment. He knew be should be upset that Ezra felt anything toward that monster but he had loved him. "I understand, my gem. You loved him, even if he never loved you back. It's ok to be sad." He says as he kisses his head. "I promise I will love you through it." He says softly before Ezra broke and fell against him, telling him he loved him over and over again, apologizing for crying and thanking him. "You never have to thank me for protecting you. That's what people do for the people they love. I will always protect you. And don't apologize for crying, my gem, this is a lot to take in at once." He says pecking his lips. "It's over, Ezzy. It's over and I'm all yours. I promise I will never let anyone hurt you."

Joel held Skylar close as he cried, holding his face against his chest as Eric finally ended their centuries long nightmare. "Shhh it's ok, Sky, it's almost over. Try not right get too worked up, its not for the twins." He murmured, giving Skylar a knowing smirk when he looked up at him. "I'm happy for you, Sky. And guess what?" He says softly, trying to distract him. "Me too." He grins as he gives his platonic soulmate a kiss.

David only had eyes for Magnus when it was all over, watching with a loving grin as Magnus stepped through the ashes of the monster who had plagued his family for decades and feeling a bit of giddiness at the action. David took in all of Magnus. Tired and all he was still be most gorgeous man he had ever had the pleasure of laying his eyes on, his beautiful cat eyes on full display that he often his from the world. "As you wish, my love." He said, pulling Magnus into his arms before catching Eric out of his peripheral and gasping. "Would you look at that?" He grins.

Eric gasps as the bond he and Skylar shared finally became completely intertwined, the feeling of everything Skylar was washing over him as he gave him all of himself. Eric had long ago given Skylar his all but finally bring free of the continuous threat of Malachi looming over Skylar finally gave him the courage to let go. Their bond was strong and beautiful, so beautiful that more tears ran down Eric's face. Skylar's touch was like a balm, healing every part of Eric that he once thought was broken beyond repair. He kissed Skylar as if he were a man finally finding water after spending days in the desert, full of love and devotion. "I love you so much." He purrs against his lips, falling to his knees and burying his face into the slignt swell of his abdomen where their twins currently grew. "Appa loves you both very much and I promise you will always be the safest and most loved babies in this entire universe." He murmured, kissing his belly before reaching into his pocket while he was on his knees and producing a ring he made just for Skylar, holding it out to his pregnant soulmate.

"Nar sarang, I know this isn't the idesl place to do this and I am filthy but I promised you in our dream that I would marry you when you came back to me." Eric says "I love you with every fiber of my being and nothing would make me happier than if you were to be my husband. Skylar, officially, Will you marry me?" He asks.

Austin watched the brothers with worried eyes, occasionally glancing up to see what was happening with Malachi. Still every time his eyes wandered back to Thorn who sobbed against his brother's stomach, his hand never ceasing to rub his back as he continued to feed the young fae soothing emotions, though he wasn't sure if Thorn even realized they were coming from him. He looked up when he felt Kye's hand touch his and he could see in Kye's eyes that he knew exactly what he was doing for Thorn. Austin gave Kye a tired albeit worried smile when he finally spoke, nodding his head at his question. His heart warmed a bit that Kye knew about him, that Thorn had mentioned him. He sighs softly when he said Thorn would be alright. "I wouldn't expect less after what you both went through." He murmured, his tone understanding.

Austin took both of Thorn's hands into his and kissed them gently before the petite fae melted again him. "He will never hurt you again, beautiful angel. I promise. I wont let anyone ever hurt you again." He murmured, softly in the young Fae's ear as he held him protectively in his arms.

Mason gave Kye another once over, satisfied that the Fae was indeed alright before nodding. "I will check you over again once this is all over and less chaotic. But I think rest and fluids should help you get back to yourself. Austin and Cody did a wonderful job healing you." He says before moving out of the way so his lovers could settle on each side of him.

Cody held onto Kye like he was the most precious person in the world, his fingertips occasionally brushing against Luca to let his other soulmate know he was there also as he coaxed Kye to slowly drink the water he brought. "Slowly, jagi, we dont want you to go into shock after you just had your injuries healed." He says softly. He watched as Luca leaned over to kiss his other temple as he gave him more water before they brought him down to rest.

"Rest, sweetheart, you heard the Doc." Luca purrs softly.

Joel gave Gryffin a small smile, letting his younger lover know he was ok. That he just needed a moment to come to terms with what happened. He lost himself for a moment when he let his rage take over and he had to admit it scared him for a moment since he had never let it get that far before after spending so much time learning to control his temper. Pair that with Malachi being the first and only person he had ever killed and while he felt justified now, in those moments after with Skylar he felt overwhelmed. Joel melted against Gryffin's side, leaning his head on his shoulder as he continued to give Gryffin a boost.

Jacob smiles down at Dax, feeling his relief, love and bliss through their bond as they stood there together, both of their hands resting over Dax's belly. He knew in this moment that he wanted to spend the rest of his forever with Dax and their son.

Danny made his way over to Skylar and Ezra, wrapping his arms around his soulmate. He pulls Ezra into his chest, stroking his back and his hair as he held him close. "I'm sorry you had to see that, my gem." He says softly "He can't hurt you anymore. I will never let anyone hurt you." He kisses his head gently before pulling back and cupping his cheeks. "I love you. Dont forget that, my gem, I always will." He says softly pecking his lips before holding him against his chest again.

Joel wrapped his arms tightly around Skylar after he said his peace to Malachi, finally getting the closure that he needed after so many torturous years. "I'm so proud of you, Sky." He murmurs, kissing his head. "You can let go now. It's finally over." He rubs his back and takes as much pain from his platonic soulmate as he could.

Eric watched as the scum Malachi crawled over to Skylar and at first he thought to stop him. But Skylar needed this, he needed the closure. He watched as Skylar finally said his peace and let Malachi fall with a wet this before making his way over to Joel. His anguished sobs made him want to go to his love, gather him in his arms and take all of his pain away. But he couldn't, not yet. He had to end this once and for all. He had to make Malachi pay for hurting so many people in his family, even the new ones that were just joining them today.

Eric didn't move, glaring defiantly down at Malachi as he crawled pathetically toward him. Malachi had nothing left and he knew it. And yet he still had a little defiance left in him as he spat on Eric's boot. Eric let out a sigh before coming back with the same foot he spat on and kicking him full force, sending Malachi sprawling on his back. "Keep your eyes open or I will rip your eyelids off." Eric snarls as the other man closed his eyes from the pain in his head and jaw. Malachi glared up at him defiantly and this only thrilled Eric more. Eric wasn't a killer, far from it, but as he dug his foot into the wounds left behind by Joel and Jacob, he couldn't help but feel a bit satisfied at the way the man groaned in agony. "Hurts doesn't it? That's how Skylar felt. How Ezra felt. Dax, Kye, Thorn." Eric spat, raising his foot and coming down on his heel where the former Knight's privates used to be, another garbled cry escaping his lips as he choked on his own blood. "Had enough yet?" Eric growls, leaning over only for the other man to spit blood in his face.

Eric pulls back, calmly wiping his face before smirking down at the other man that clawed at the grass beneath him. "Nope. I want my face to be the last one you see." He growls, stomping on each arm, the deafening crunch of bones breaking filling the clearing. The ex Knight's garbled wail filled the air as Eric broke both of his legs keeping him in place. "Skylar is mine. You will pay for your sins in Hell, my father will make sure of it. No one fucks with the mate of the son of Cain. Enjoy eternity of misery." He smirks before his eyes turned red as he steps back. "Bultaoreune" he says just as the man's entire body caught fire and his wails filled the clearing, muffled only by his lack of tongue.

Eric watched as his soulmate's tormentor burned to ash, a hush falling over the clearing as the last flame dissipated. Eric turned and walked over to Skylar, finally pulling his beautiful angel into his arms, kissing him deeply. "It's over, nae sarang." He says softly "It's over and you are finally home." He adds, a few tears rolling down his cheeks at the relief of finally having his pregnant soulmate back in his arms.

A week would be plenty of time (at least in Leon's eyes) for her to get well acquainted with the children, and see how they handle her. Intermingling with the rest of the Signs isn't a major concern, they are very accepting of new people. Except for Seth that is, but he doesn't approve of anyone.

Though with Jeanne having to go through so many people, and not just Luca, it left Leon a little curious on all the others.

Should he decide to marry her, which he will if all goes right, is he going to have to ask for someone's permission before he can do that?

"Ask whomever you deem necessary, there is no rush."

No doubt Skylar and Morgan would be excited to have Jeanne come and stay with them all. Speaking of which, he should probably mention to them his intentions. Perhaps next time he sees them.

At this moment? The Lion simply wishes to spend some time with Jeanne!

"Would you be interested in taking a walk with me, Mon cher~? I came out for a bit of exercise, and having your company would be a delight~."

"--A week?" A whole week? She stared at him, still red faced and even more stunned than before. Regardless, she didn't dare entertain the thought of pulling her hand from his grasp.

"Oh...I'd have to ask Master Luca...Teacher...probably Dominique..." the point being she'd have to go through a line of people for simple permission. Well, some she didn't have to...but she still felt it extremely necessary.

"But...I think I...could?" At least, she sincerely hoped.

"Sky..." Skylar slowly turns a her head around to where she heard a whisper. "Guys." She reaches to grab Eddie's arm but can't find it. "Guys." She turns back around to see them looking up at the gate still. "Skylar." She turns her head back around to see the inside of Star Court Mall then looks around to see she was now in the mall.

"What do we do?!" Robin start to panic as they watch Steve and Nancy. "Music." Max says. "Skylar, you're friends with her. What's her favorite song?" Lucas asks making everyone turn to her. "Sky." Dustin moves to see where she was looking. "Skylar!" He yells seeing she was in a trance too. "He can do two people at once?!" Erica shouts. "Watch the two of them." Dustin tells Erica as they search the trailer for something to help them.

"Billy please, don't go. Remember how you said you wanted to go back to California? Come on, I'll go with you. It's a yes but you gotta stay with me." She hears her own voice as she walks around then stops when she sees blood on the floor where Billy's body laid. "You moved on from me. How could you? I thought you loved me..." She hears Billy's voice from all around. "You can't fool me. Billy wanted me to move on." She looks around for him.

"I didn't want to say those things. He made me write those down, Sky." Vecna says in Billy's voice making Skylar tear up. "No, no, no. You're lying to me." She starts to breathe heavily. "I'm telling the truth, princess. He made me write all that down." She turns to see Billy walking towards her. "I always knew you never loved me. You used me to get over Steve. You lied to me as I died in your lap. You didn't love me. You loved him." He walks up being toe to toe with her. "You spent time0000 with me to get over Steve, but it didn't really matter because you didn't lose any feelings for Steve." The back of his hand touches her cheek. "You're not Billy so stop it." She stares into his eyes.

"How are you doing this? You already have Nancy in a trance." She steps away from him. "I've been watching you since Billy died." As she blinks Vecna was his normally self. "Part of me has been in your mind for months. The pain from loving Billy and Steve at the same time." She blinks again to see Bard dead, "The pain of being part of the reason Barb is dead." He goes back to himself. "Still deep down hurt from Steve treating you like you were nothing. Secretly feeling like you're responsible for your father leaving your family. I know every thought in your mind." He stands over her as she looks up at him. "When I end others suffers I become stronger... I take everything from them. Little by little I've been using you without you even knowing. Will you let me show you what I'm going to show Nancy?" The mall suddenly becomes Hawkins lab and Nancy was held down to a chair at the end of the hall. Venca was now standing over Nancy and puts his hand out to her face showing her what's to come to Hawkins and it's flashes though Skylar's eyes as she stand at the other end of the hall.

After everything she ends up at the trailer park outside seeing the swarm of bats flying around in one part. "I'll become more stronger off of you when you see what is happening at the center of that. Not everyone will make it, Sky." Vecna tells her as she slowly walks towards it then starts to run seeing Dustin limp his way towards the swarm. "Dustin!" She screams before everything goes black then flashes of Vecna's whole life. From when he was a child, his time in Hawkins lab, meeting El, him exploring the Upside Down, the day it turned to Hawkins, what he did and saw throughout the years they have been battling the Upside Down. "You're very clever Skylar." He tells her as her eyes kept rolling back. "What if Vecna was someone like El? Someone who had powers too? I mean the papers never said Victor's son died the same way as the rest, just died in the hospital." She hears herself again.

"She's back!" Steve tells to the others about Nancy. "We have another problem up here with Skylar!" Erica shouts at him. "Skylar?!" Steve shouts worried as he helps Nancy through the gate then himself. "Skylar, come on." Steve grabs her by the shoulders before she comes back falling to the floor passed out. Max suggest they go to her trailer so Steve picks Skylar up carrying her as she was out cold. "I still don't understand how he got both of you in a trance at the same time." Dustin eyes Nancy who was still out of it. "Is he that powerful now?" Lucas asks worried.

The next morning when Skylar wakes up Steve was on watch duty for her and Nancy. "Good morning." She whispers to him. "You scared us even more when you went into a trance too." He sits next to her. "Not gonna lie I got scared but didn't break... Tried using Billy to get to me." She sighs thinking back. "You're okay, that's all that matters." He cups her face. "I don't think I am though..." She looks into his eyes. "Why do you say that?" Steve asks confused and starts to get worried. "He said part of him has been in my mind for months. Little by little he's been using me without me even knowing." She explains to him as others start to wake up. "Sky!" Dustin wraps his arms around her.

When everyone was awake Nancy finally could tell them what Vecna showed her. "Okay, but... he's just trying to scare you, Nance. Right? I mean... I mean, it's not real." Steve tells her. "Not yet. He showed me what he showed Nance. There were four gates spreading across Hawkins. They looked like the one in Eddie trailer but didn't stop growing." Skylar speaks up. "But this wasn't the Upside Down Hawkins. It was our Hawkins. Our home." Nancy says terrified. "Four chimes." Max speaks up. "Vecna's clock. It always chimes four times. Four exactly." She lets them know making Nancy and Skylar say they heard it too. "He's been telling us his plan this whole time." Max sighs. "Four kills. Four gates. End of the world." Lucas says. "If that's true... he's only one kill away." Dustin sighs while Max tries to call Joyce's number.

"We have to go back in there. Back to the Upside Down." Nancy turns to the group making Steve, Eddie, and Skylar say no. "What is there to think through?" She asks Steve. "We barely made it out is there." Steve tells her. "Yeah, because we weren't prepared. But this time, we will be. We'll get weapons and protection. We'll go through the gate, we'll find his lair, and we'll kill him." Nancy lists a draft plan. "Or he'll kill us. The only reason you and Skylar survived is because he wanted you two to. He's not scared of us." Steve tries to get her to understand. "And for good reason. We were wrong about Vecna. Henry. One. We've learned something new about Vecna/Henry/One. He's a number like Eleven, only a sick, evil, male, child-murdering version of her with really bad skin. But my... my point is, he's super powerful. He could turn us inside out with a snap of his fingers. It's not a fair fight." Robin explains.

"Then why fight fair? You're right. He's like Eleven. But that gives us an upper hand. We know Eleven's strengths. And weaknesses." Dustin says before explaining the weakness to everyone then what could be a plan. Max then speaks up after Robin said they don't know his pattern or when he will, saying they do and she will be the bait and willing to risk it. "I get you guys are set on this and think of we've come up with an awesome plan but he told me not everyone will survive." Skylar stands up so they look at her. "If we do it well, we all will." Nancy tells her. Skylar shakes her head sitting back down next to Eddie.

"This...this place is just far enough outside of Hawkins. As long as we steer clear of main roads, we oughta be able to avoid cops and, uh, angry hicks." Eddie tells us after showing us where we can get weapons to kill Vecna. "But is it worth the time? It'll take all day to bike there and back." Dustin tells us. "Who said anything about bikes?" Eddie looks at him. "You got some car we don't know about?" Steve looks at him. "It's not exactly a car, Steve. And it's not exactly mine, but uh... it'll do. Hey, Red, uh, you got a ski mask or a bandanna, something like that?" Eddie looks over at Max. She leaves then comes back with her Michael Myers mask. "This is all I got." She hands it to him. "That'll work." He takes it and we follow him.

"The RV really?" Sky whispers to him. "You got a better idea?" He asks her. "No but that's their home." She adds. "And they're rude remember..." He says. "True." She shrugs her shoulders. They all follow Eddie to the RV and jump in through the back window quietly. "You can do this fast right?" I follow him to the front. "Of course." He gives me a smile as Steve comes over. "Where'd you learn how to do this?" He asks him. "Well, when the other dads were teaching their kids how to fish or play ball, my old man was teaching me how to hot-wire. Now, I swore to myself I wouldn't wind up like he did, but now I'm wanted for murder, and soon, grand theft auto. So, uh, I'm really living up to that Munson name." Eddie tells him. "Eddie, I'm not sure I love the idea of you driving." Robin joins us. "Oh, I'm just starting this sucker. Harrington's got her. Don't ya, big boy?" Eddie smiles at him making me slightly giggle. When Eddie starts the vehicle the owners start banging to get in so Steve hops in the drivers seat. "Everyone hang onto something!" Steve yells at us so we all do.

As we were on the road Nancy and I said we'd take turns in the passenger seat. "How's it handle?" I ask Steve as me and Nancy swap places. "Not half bad. Considering that this is a... house." He says making me smile at that. "You know, it's silly, but I... I've actually... I always had this dream that I'd have this really... really big family. I'm talking, like, uh, a full brood of Harringtons. Like, five, six kids." He says making me laugh. "Six? You want six little nuggets?" I look at him. "Yeah, six little nuggets. Three girls, three boys." He says making me nod my head. "And... and every summer, I figured all of us Harringtons, we would pack into something like this and just see the country. You know, the Rockies, Grand Canyon, maybe Yellowstone. End up in some beachside town in California. Spend a week parked in the sand. Learn how to surf or something." He tell me.

"That sounds really nice" I say making him look over at me. "Yeah?" He asks. "Yeah." We stare at each other. "Can I tag along?" I smile making him laugh. "I was hoping you'd be there too actually." He makes my smile bigger. "Yeah?" I ask. "Yeah." He chuckles. "I would say six little nuggets is a nightmare, but we both know you're well trained in that area by now." We both laugh.

ok whatever experion gets to be normal au (also trans fem experion hc)

- experion uses the fake name “Laura Drowning” (Laundromat)

- immediately people think she’s the coolest girl on the block. like shes got great hair and stuff, people just think shes cool as hell

- worst fashion sense in the world. terrible color choices and mixmatches styles. nobody notices . not a single person except skylar notices how badly she dresses. experion rubs this in skylars face A LOT. (skylar isn’t sure if experion is doing this on purpose)

- starts growing her hair out and wears it in twin buns mostly. wears her hair down in mighty med, and when fighting crime or something, wears it in a single bun

- kaz still has a massive crush on experion and fumbles through check ups until experion just goes “dude. get another crush. seriously.” but also experion REALLY likes the attention. its a lot of fun.

- somehow becomes friends with jordan. jordan is like “hey laura you look really familiar lol” and experion panics IMMEDIATELY, unaware that Skylar had shown jordan a picture of her before hand.

- has a hard time finding a date to anything because of the whole... trying to kill people thing.

- she says normo food is weird but secretly really enjoys eating burgers. its her favorite

+ Megahertz being her father hc

- megahertz after serving his time ends up taking care of Experion, and kinda (?) switches sides. megahertz isn’t like. actively trying to kill anyone, but hey, if you asked him!

- megahertzs forces experion to go to sports games even though neither of them know anything about sports. megahertz just likes how cheering sounds. experion Does Not.

- megahertz’s fake name is Luca Drowning. experion however exposes that his real first name is Leslie immediately so now megahertz is subjected to being made fun of by more 14 year olds

This account has become more OC driven, I have more muse for them and so my canon muses have taken a back seat. This doesn’t mean I’ll never write with them again but they’ll be request only from now on and even then it will depend on my muse for them.

MUN is 24 so I only want to RP with Muns that are over 18 too, SMUT will only be between muses that are also 18+

I will not roleplay r*pe or incest.

Please no godmodding - please don’t force situations on my muse or assume you know what my muse is thinking or going to do, it makes me feel like there’s no point me writing my half.

OC friendly, but please bare with me as i sometimes don’t know how to respond to very powerful/god like OCs

Very ship friendly, love a good ship but won’t force chemistry.

I can’t roleplay with cartoon/animation characters or anything along those lines. So apologise if that throws any wrenches in the works.

I don’t expect massive paragraphs as responses but please don’t respond with a few words as I’m not sure how to respond to this. Unless it’s a strictly speech thread which is different or just answering an ask.

Firework Mayhem; NYE Event Closing Remarks

One simple word that got yelled out into the night sky threw the celebration night into a night of panic and mayhem. With the sounds of the pre-timed fireworks mixed with the gunshots, it was hard to pinpoint what direction were fireworks and which were gunshots. It didn’t stop people from making their beelines towards the beach’s exits. As many people were trying to escape, some people stayed and tried to help those who needed it. Firearms got discharged in every which direction, but not one of them seemed to be coming from the local police that was patrolling the beach earlier. To say it was unnerving was a slight understatement, but it wasn’t as if the civilians of Miami, Florida were going to stop and ask questions in the middle of flying bullets. On the surface, it looks as if it was just crazy people with guns and the need to kill, but this hit is a lot more sinister than any civilian can truly imagine.

Behind the curtain, it was another attempt started by the Ivory Serpents to show the Crimson Reapers who truly is the best organization, a stance ensuring that they will not be pushed over by them. Believing as if this was the perfect time and place to make their strike against the Reaper’s leader’s children, it quickly backfired on the Serpents. There became a higher body count than Elaine Martell expected.

Instead of Rocco Agosti getting hit, Giovanna De Luca realized what was going on and quickly pushed both Rocco Agosti and Esmeray Osman down, allowing the bullet meant for Rocco to graze his left shoulder - which luckily, will only need simple stitches. [ @giovanni-de-luca ]. However, Amalia Agosti wasn’t as lucky as her twin brother. As someone yelled GUN, Amalia Agosti immediately locked eyes with her brother and made a beeline for him, but before she could even reach him, she got shot in the stomach on the right side, just above her appendix. Instead of running away with Giovanni and Esme, Rocco ran over to his beloved twin to help stop the bleeding before the ambulance could get to her. The injury is severe and will need surgery, but Amalia Agosti is expected to make a full recovery with proper care. [ @amaliaagosti ]. Though it wasn’t just Amalia that suffered from the end of Sofia Mendez’s gun, Skylar Owens got shot in the abdomen in the crossfire between Amalia and Sofia. Currently, there is no further detail on the extensive surgery she will need, but she also got rushed to the hospital. [ @skylarxowens ].

Just a way down the beach, there were more than a few fatal and severe injuries. Next to Elaine Martell, Cindy Jiang got shot in the crossfire between Crimson Reaper and Ivory Serpent soldiers. Cindy’s right arm got hit, and she got rushed to the hospital, where she is expected to make a full recovery. [ @c-jiang ]. Ivanna Herrera was one of those Ivory Serpent soldiers aiming her gun into the crowd, trying to find the enemy. At least until Kamryn Nyström saw her and that a Crimson Reaper was gearing up to shoot Ivanna for the kill. Deciding to tackle Ivanna into the sand, Kamryn suffered the brunt of the bullet as it hit his lower left side of his back, through his stomach, and shot straight right through his body. He will be receiving major surgery, but luckily, he is as well expected to eventually make a full recovery. [ @dragonscanbekilled ].

Meanwhile, Clara Leone and Harrison Vance ran and hid in an alleyway, though they were stuck with Ivory Serpents, closing in on them. It wasn’t so clear on how they escaped, but it was Clara Leone that got shot in her shoulder in the crossfire between them and the Serpents. [ @claraxleone ].

It seemed as if the chaos went on for centuries, but eventually, local Miami PD officers were able to shut everything down, as well as make some arrests. Paramedics quickly got to work and rushed the majorly injured to Mercy Hospital. Overall, there were six major injuries, three fatal deaths, but only four arrests. Though with a night with both the Serpents and Reapers stuck together, that number was considered to be on the low end.

Now, all eyes will be on the Crimson Reapers and their possible retaliation.
