(I’m not ready to let you go.)
((Mmmmmm marriage angst. Y’all know I love breaking hearts and mostly Kerry’s. Enjoy this<3))
Their marriage had been failing for years now. Therapy was out of the question for the two were too prideful, a fixit baby didn’t help, pretending Kerry wasn’t sleeping with someone else and Louise wasn’t looking up lawyers in her past time didn’t help either.
They were strangers in their own home. Their own son could sense the tension between his parents, and their adorable baby girl had no idea why she existed… but Kerry loved her anyway.
Most of the conversations between the couple were strictly about their children or work. Not even a how was your day, mostly just scheduling. You’d never know how lonely a house of four could be when parents fall out of love.
It was a Tuesday when Louise served the papers. Kerry knew it was coming, he couldn’t even say he was surprised when they appeared in front of him. And Louise already walking away. Clearly they weren’t talking about this now.
Going to a party after that was a bad idea. They both had to smile through the pain of barely knowing each other anymore while people shoved questions down their throats that they didn’t want to answer. Kerry remembered a time they’d be late to a party because they couldn’t get their hands off each other, and now they were getting ready on opposite sides of the room.
The silence over the room was suffocating, threatening to choke the couple as they got ready. Both remembering a time neither could shut up, gossiping and laughing about the people they had seen on the invite sheet. They’d be lying if they said they didn’t miss it.
Kerry looked up as he fixed on his bracelets, watching Louise pick through her jewelry box with a small frown. He held back any words of advice, knowing it’d be met with a glare or absolutely nothing. There were some days he missed his wife, missed their honeymoon phase and Ted’s early days. Then there were others he felt so suffocated, he almost couldn’t wait to get back to California. Itching to see home again.
Reality hadn’t quite hit him that moving back to the states meant leaving his kids. His strong, sweet Ted and his baby Kim. But he couldn’t fix this. They had both fucked up way too many times. Kerry had missed one of Ted’s birthdays and Louise had been seen with another man. It was basically over at this point.
…But did it have to be?
Kerry crossed the room, more or less ready to go, and knelt down in front of Louise. She simply eyed him in confusion, wondering what the hell had gotten into him this time. But he ignored it, and simply slipped one of her heels into her feet. He clasped it and went to the other, doing the same thing before standing and offering his hand. Just like old times.
His wife blinked, her face softened for the first time in a while when she looked at him. He didn’t stop loving her just because it was over. Louise was the mother of his children, his first wife, they had too many good times together for Kerry to ignore.
He pressed a gentle kiss to the back of her hand when the doorbell rang and the nanny was here to watch their kids. And that was their cue to leave.
The party was boring. Most things were to Kerry these days. Boring and uninteresting, and he was on his third drink by now. He was pretending to listen when someone slid under his arm, making him start to pull back when he noticed his wife looking up at him.
“I’m bored.” Was all she had to say to get Kerry to suggest an Irish goodbye. They both walked out without saying a word to anyone.
There was a somber feeling on the car ride home, Kerry watching the city fly by while tapping his fingers.
“Remember when Ted was born?” Louise asked suddenly, making Kerry briefly wonder what was going on.
“‘Course I do. Why?” Like Kerry could ever forget that day.
“That’s the day I thought you and I would be forever.”
Oh.
The car fell silent after.
Put down was easy. Ted was always determined to stay awake for his parents so by the time they got there, he was basically a walking zombie. Kerry would carry him to bed and they’d tell him good night, before checking on Kim and heading up to bed themselves.
But Kerry couldn’t stop looking at Louise. She was beautiful in ever sense of the word, and for a little while, she had been his everything.
Before he knew it, he was on his knees again. Arms wrapped around her waist with his head on her stomach. Maybe he was tipsy, but something was making him honest tonight.
He felt her warm hands in his hair, running her fingers through the graying strands as they silently let it settle what was happening.
“I’ll sign those papers… but I’m not ready to let you go, Lou.” Kerry whispered, looking up at her.
She was crying. Her hands cupped his face and he leaned in, always a sucker for her siren song.
“I know… I’m not either but it’s for the best, Ker.” She leaned down and kissed his forehead. “I love you. But we can’t live like this.”
“I know… I’m so sorry.”

You know, the more I think about it, the more I love the idea of wlw!Louise and her and Kerry's relationship starting out as friends with an idea that was objectively not bad, but executed horribly, because neither of them was in the right place to really go through with it.
I imagine them meeting up at the Dark Matter rooftop, because it is an important place to Kerry, maybe after Louise went through a really shitty breakup and is just so done, and Kerry's there to comfort her. And after too much to drink and crying about how unfair the world is into the early morning hours they'd be like "what if we just raised kids together, make our own little queer family? because fuck norms and all that". At that point in time they're both really into the idea, sad and lonely and disillusioned, tired of the media speculating about their respective relationships and whatnot (personally I'm headcanoning Louise as working as a model or an actress, different field than Kerry's but close enough so that they would have met at some point).
I think Kerry would have really loved her, more than a friend eventually, but it was all one-sided (like so, so many of his relationships seem to have been). He loves his kids, but he was so overwhelmed by the reality of being a father and all the not-so-nice strings attached and then left Louise alone with the responsibilities, even though they'd agreed upon doing this together. Hence everything going to shit eventually. Kerry couldn't cope and had too many other demons to fight, and Louise rightfully was disappointed and started resenting him. As if she didn't have a stressful, fulltime job, or many of the other responsibilities that he would have brought up as excuses, not owning up to his mistakes and his actual struggles underneath the surface, and so on and so forth...
Dammit. I love it a little bit too much.

don't know why but i'm stuck on the idea of ted eurodyne being trans
he's grown up surrounded by reminders that it isn't impossible, that all it would take is a few surgeries and some paperwork. he's been calling himself ted since the day he realized that the name on his birth certificate didn't quite fit, that it could change with him. his mom calls him theodore when she's angry, and kim's never called him anything but teddy
the surgeries and the implants are paid for entirely by kerry, who hasn't even seen or spoken to either of his kids since the divorce. with every year that passes, separated by time and distance, father and son start to look more and more alike
ted's grateful. he is, no matter what his mom seems to think about how he feels about kerry. but that doesn't completely erase the feeling that he’s being rejected by his dad, in more ways than one

give us some random Vic lore pls
A lil potluck of Victoria info coming right up 😘😘
She’s got a thing for bald, former-military guys apparently. First Adam, then Kurt. And while I don’t know if she and Kurt will be a thing as I’m waiting to meet him proper in the dlc – she’ll certainly be physically attracted to him, until he opens his mouth potentially.
She will NEVER have children – it’s just not something she’s interested in, nor myself for her. Though I did consider it and came to the conclusion that if she did become a mother, she’d end up raising her own little Azula; a manipulative darling who commits war crimes at the ripe age of 14. Victoria would be so proud. 😌 They’d have her smile, and eyes no one can recognise as their father’s.
It’s a lot easier for her to cool down than it is for her to warm up, courtesy of steps she’s taken to prevent overheating while netrunning her internal systems have been built to prioritise cooling. At least, that’s the excuse she uses when she cuddles into a certain cyborg should they be sent somewhere that’s a bit cooler than average.
In a vein similar to above; she looks down on ‘runners who have to routinely use ice baths. In her eyes it’s a sign of mediocrity to be in their field long enough and not have enough eddies from work to get a decent chair. She told one once to add a toaster to their set-up.
I haven’t figured it out fully yet, but I’ve been tossing the idea of Victoria and Louise Nordin Eurodyne getting along. They met at some official Function while Victoria was in Tokyo on business and clicked easily – and like any good friend of course Victoria keeps Louise updated on the bullshit Kerry Eurodyne has been up to. This is helped by Victoria having a contact within the label Kerry’s signed with, who passes info along
I need to give her more friends tbh

INTRODUCING all 4 of Kerry Eurodyne’s children as drawn by @devincheeartblog
All 4 of these images are based on memories Kerry had of his children. The memories he associates with all of them.
His oldest is Derry (short for Derring) Eurodyne (mentioned in CyberGeneration, an “alternate” timeline but after hearing about her story I didn’t have the heart to leave her out). His most prominent memory of Derry is of the last time he ever saw her before she was killed while he was on tour, giving her a big hug and telling her he’d see her soon. Her death came just a few short years after Johnny’s, and was completely unexpected, so it hit him hard. Guilt still consumes him about her to this day.
Kelvy Kai-Eurodyne is his second born daughter (mentioned in Cyberpunk V3, also seen as not canon, but eh). The memory he heavily associates with her is how she would cry every time his then wife, Zohrin, did her hair in the mornings. He would have to have her sat in his lap to help ease her into letting Zoh fix up her hair.
Ted Nordin Eurodyne is his only son. While their relationship is strained now, Kerry can remember a time when his little boy wanted to be just like him. Even to the point of trying to copy his tattoo down on his own arm. Louise and Kerry both thought it was adorable.
And finally, the baby: Kim Nordin Eurodyne. What Kerry loves to remember the most of her was when she would sleep across his chest. Kerry knew she would be the last, and so he really savored that time while she was tiny and able to cuddle up with him like that. Especially as he and Louise would end up divorcing a few months after Kim’s 2nd birthday, and Louise was awarded primary custody of the kids.

aaaand part 3 of the ex-spouse series
Let's talk about Louise
After the unremarkable marriage that was his relationship with North, Kerry went back to his old ways for a time. Having fun, dating and sleeping around, while trying to be a present-enough father figure for his daughter.
For over 20 years, he went through several relationships. Some were serious, but most left him with a bad taste in his mouth and a resentment toward the other person.
He would meet and start dating Louise Nordin in 2054 while she was working as a model in Denmark. They dated long distance for two years and Kerry would invite Louise to move in with him on their third anniversary. He could see this was going places, and he was cautiously looking forward to taking things further.
He loved Louise's similar boisterous energy to his own. They could party, they could make all jaws drop in formal events for each other's careers, and they could talk to each other about anything. Kerry genuinely believed he'd met his one. He was able to talk to her about Johnny, about Derry. About how he hadn't treated his first wife that well, and Louise provided insight of how Zoh might've been feeling.
Despite what she heard, though, she didn't turn away. Kerry valued that. Not everyone could even begin to handle the trucktons of baggage that came with Kerry Eurodyne.
After 5 years of dating, they married in 2059. They lived blissfully alone together until April 28th, 2063 when their son, Theodore Nordin Eurodyne was born. Kerry's only son. And things were still good, but cracks would begin to form soon enough.
Drugs and alcohol took hold again during a particularly bad pass of the anniversary of Derry's, and then Johnny's, death. Kerry was spending more time away from home after Louise reluctantly retired for the sake of raising their son, because she and Kerry both hated the idea of their children being primarily raised by nannies.
In the midst of the conflict, the arguing, and trying to fix things, Kerry and Louise's daughter was born. Kimberly Nordin Eurodyne was born on December 1st, 2069. Kerry tried to clean up his act for the sake of his kids, but found that was far easier said than put into actions.
Kerry would catch Louise cheating in mid-2070, and that really sent him off on a war path. He'd cheat on her in return, out of revenge more than anything concrete. Kerry and Louise "patched things up," but he had a feeling she was still cheating after that point. He'd never question whether Kim was his. Whether she was actually or not, she was always going to be his.
It all came to a head, however, when Kerry was arrested for drug possession, assaulting a police officer, and public indecency in 2071. He was sentenced to 15 months in prison, where Kerry would only receive one visit from Louise and their children before being served divorce papers.
Ever since Kerry got out of prison, things have been shit with Louise. She got some of his cars, his home in Tokyo, and worst of all: full custody of the kids. He guessed he couldn't blame her there. Kerry was unstable, and honestly? He didn't want the kids to see him while his mental health was deteriorating. It sure as hell wouldn't help when Louise would occasionally dangle the kids in front of his face in her worst moments, but Kerry rarely had the fight left in him to argue with her too much about it.
And yet, despite all of the bullshit since they finalized the divorce in 2072, Kerry still loved her. If he hadn't fucked it all up, he felt like he could've been with her for the rest of his days.

Luise Nordin Eurodyne
Tumblr I need your help once again.
I hope no one takes this as an offence or something. I don't care if Kerry is Bi or Gay or anything. And I really don't question it (since the output explanation with female V) My point is not to question this. I am just a bit confused here so please hear me out:
Is it really stated in the mail in the game that it's his ex-wife? I didnt manage to read it in my first playthrough and now I'm still way from Kerry's romance. I'm just confused, cause Louise can be male or female name, but according to Wikipedia Nordin is a masculine given name. So, I'm a bit confused. Is it really his ex-wife? . It might be a mistake from CDPR (like Adamska in Kojimas Metal Gear games)

(Dad)
((More pre divorce Eurodyne Family bc I’m free to write what I want))
Every since Ted was born, Kerry hadn’t known peace. But in the kid’s defense, when did he ever know peace? And don’t get him wrong, he loved his son more than anything. Ted had brought Kerry and Louise so much joy and laughter, for a moment everything seemed perfect.
“Dad?”
“Yeah, bug?”
“What is-“
But sometimes the poor kid asked more questions than Kerry had answers too. And don’t get him wrong, he thought Ted’s curiosity was great (right? Parents were supposed to think that right?)
Kerry knew he wasn’t doing this dad thing correctly. Ted’s cries sounded like nails on a chalkboard, his constant questioning became overwhelming fast, his bad nights made but a bad night for everyone… and yet Kerry loved him more than anything.
Ted was around six or so when Kerry and Louise’s relationship truly began to spiral. They tried their best to hide it from their boy, most of their arguments happening after Ted was asleep. They knew their curious boy would have questions they struggled to answer like that.
But when Ted was seven, Louise got pregnant again. And Ted just had to ask that one really awkward question.
“Dad?”
“Yeah, bug?”
“How did mommy get the baby in her belly?”
Louise hid her laugh behind her laptop, Ted looking up at him with those big innocent brown eyes while Kerry fought the mental battle.
“Why don’t you ask mommy that question, babes?”
“Nononono, daddy is the expert on this sweetheart!” Louise urged, laughing behind her hand.
“Thanks hon.” Kerry grit out, pulling Ted into his lap. Time to change the subject. “Are you excited for the new baby?”
“Yeah! I wanna play with her and show her all my cool toys! Do you think she’s gonna like transformers?”
“Maybe. You keep saying she, you want a baby sister?”
“Yeah! She’s gonna be super cool, like you and mom!”
Ted rested his head on Kerry’s shoulder, his legs over one side of Kerry’s lap. The mood seemed to switch to a somber tone, Kerry looking over at his wife.
They had to make this work, for Ted and the new baby’s sake. Kerry never expected himself to be such a family man, but he couldn’t leave them behind…

V’S GOT A LOT of bad habits, her inherent nosiness just being the tip of the iceberg. But Johnny was suspiciously silent as she’d thumbed her way through Kerry’s emails. She’d first caught scent of something wrong after asking Kerry if he planned on inviting anyone to the show. Even for an isolationist rockstar, it seemed odd someone in their late eighties wouldn’t have any close friends or relatives to call upon. She really shouldn’t be digging through other people’s personal life when she’s not getting paid for it, even if she’s letting the ghost of Johnny Silverhand possess her for his mental benefit. But when she saw the messages from one Louise Nordin Eurodyne remarking on his absence from his children’s life, she knew she had to intervene.
Turns out, those children aren’t children any longer. They’ve got their own careers under the family name, but seem to be as far removed from Kerry’s legacy as possible. Given the context, it’s no surprise she never made the connection before.
The size of Kim’s villa rivals her father’s, but with an eye for architecture that doesn’t just say ‘I have money but don’t know how to burn it.’ A couple years back just the sight of so much wealth belonging to one person would have made her stomach turn with resentment. Now? She finds a way to swallow the bile choking her soft palette before she gets to the gate. V can respect having a tolerance for the limelight. Even if this is the result of celebrity, the compounding lack of privacy would drive her slowly insane. All these high walls and spiring buildings and they still can’t keep out of the public eye.
Tumblr media
She presses a knuckle to the button on the intercom, waiting for the responding buzz. An accented voice answers on the other line-- a house keeper maybe?   ❝ Hi, uh, I’m here to see Kim Eurodyne? I’m a...business associate of your father’s. ❞   There’s no response.   ❝ Um...I just wanted to tell you Samurai is reuniting for a one-night-only show. I don’t know if he told you or...Yeah. Sorry to bother you. ❞

“He is 60 years your junior, Kerry!”
“Lou, I said not in front of them.”
Vax stopped by the sudden argument in the living area. He had gotten back from a job, and luckily was clean and not hurt. He didn’t want to give Louise another reason to try and find a thing wrong with him.
He had tried everything to prove he wasn’t using Kerry. Playing with Kim, trying to bond with Ted, paying for dinner every night they had gone out. She was convinced it was an act for her.
“Yes in front of them! They deserve to know-“
“Not in front of them, Louise. That is my fucking line.”
Vax scanned the house, and found the kids sitting upstairs. The Villa was open floor and everyone in the place could hear them. But he couldn’t help but admire Kerry not wanting to fight where they could hear him.
“I like Vax.” A tiny voice from upstairs suddenly said, making the ex couple look up. Kerry rubbed his face.
“Kimmy baby please not now.” Kerry tried, but he could hear her running down the stairs.
“He’s nice! He let me braid his hair and took my advice that pink looks good on him!”
V couldn’t stop his smile, knowing he shouldn’t be listening to this. He wasn’t their family. Louise saw him as a boytoy using Kerry for his money and body. He barely let him buy him a birthday present.
“That’s not the issue, Kim. Go back with your brother-“
“Why don’t you like him? He’s nice! Tell her Teddy!” Kim urges her older brother, who had followed her down.
“…He’s cool, I guess.”
Oh wow. That was a massive fucking compliment coming from Ted.
“Theodore-“
“Louise, enough. He’s not using me, us. He’s the last person that would ever hurt us.” Kerry said, it was the calmest V had ever heard him in an argument. But the reason was him not wanting to lose his cool in front of his kids.
Maybe he should make himself known.
He walked back, opening and closing the door once again and the voices stopped.
“I’m home!” He called, hearing Kim run to greet him first.
“Vax! Did your friends like your hair?” She asked when he scooped her up. V had made a comment about his friends possibly loving the new look.
“They did actually, my friend Claire made me a pink drink today to match!” He matched her excitement easily, smiling when he saw his man approaching. He leaned in for a kiss, hearing Kim squeal.
“Grossss!” She squealed when Kerry blew a raspberry into her cheek.
“How’s sushi sound for dinner?” Kerry asked softly, but V could feel the tense energy in his shoulders.
“Sounds perfect.”
