LAPD investigating after body found in fire at ‘clandestine’ cannabis lab in Green Meadows

Los Angeles police are investigating an explosive and deadly fire at a Green Meadows industrial site early Saturday after a body was recovered amid signs of an illegal cannabis operation, fire and police officials said. What do lawyers and clients even talk about, though? Dulce didn't really want to discuss the trial, so there was nothing. She wondered what Antonio and Isabela would talk abou- STOP!! No, no. Why would she care about that? And why does she care that she cares about it? She was lost in thought until Antonio brought up her uncharacteristic quietness. They had a bit of an awkward conversation (if you can even call it that) that seemed tense. But maybe they just have an odd way of communicating and getting along.

DULCE: It’d make sense for Antonio and Isabela to have dated before.

[FLASHBACK START]

ISABELA: Honey, I don’t need one. I can do it all on my own. Remember, I didn’t have one when I absolutely crushed Antonio in that one case.

ANTONIO: If you can “do it all alone”, go ahead and spare the poor soul who put the ring on your finger.

DULCE: She’s awful, but she’s gorgeous and skilled at what she does. Clearly he still thinks about her.

ANTONIO: [Clears throat] Are you okay? You haven’t said a word this entire car ride.

DULCE: Oh, yeah I’m fine.

ANTONIO: I apologize for what happened. I know the plan didn’t go as we hoped. I’d be upset too.

DULCE: It’s just a setback.

[Silence.] (Again.)

ANTONIO: I’m not satisfied with that answer. I’m still getting the impression you’re upset.

DULCE: Why? Because I finally shut my mouth for once? Enjoy the silence.

ANTONIO: Maybe she’s tired? Bored?

Do you want to play some music?

[Dulce pauses to think.]

DULCE: Okay. Can I use your phone?

ANTONIO: Knock yourself out.

DULCE: Wow, you actually have a decent taste in music!

ANTONIO: [Makes a “bruh” face.]

ANTONIO: You like this song too? I assumed you only enjoyed incoherent noises for music.

DULCE: [Laughs] Maybe I listen to that too.
