#DailyDevotion Jesus Gives Food To Those Who Fear Him
Tumblr media
#DailyDevotion Jesus Gives Food To Those Who Fear Him Psalm 111 The LORD is kind and merciful: 5He gives food to those who fear Him; He will always remember His covenant. These verses also are very much related to the LORD's Supper. Here in this sacrament of His body and blood we see the kindness and mercy of our God. In this meal with which He feeds us, He forgives us our sins and remembers them no more. He declares Himself as our God and we as His people. He put the Law in our hearts, that is, He gives us the Holy Spirit to instruct our hearts in His ways and gives us power to do His works in this life. To fear Him means to worship Him and to look to Him alone for every good. He makes His covenant with us in the Supper and just as we remember His death until He comes, He remembers the promise of His covenant here. 6He showed His people His power by His works, by giving them the land of the nations. He showed the Israelites His power by demonstrating it upon the Egyptians and those who opposed Israel in battle. He gave the land of the children of Canaan into the hands of the Israelites. In similar fashion, Jesus demonstrates the power of His hands, defeating sin, death and power of evil one by His death and resurrection. When Jesus comes again in glory, He will remove all the nations and governments of the world and give the world to His people, the Church. 7Faithful and just are the works of His hands; all His guiding principles are reliable. 8They are unshakably firm forever; they are faithfully and correctly put into action. Jesus said in Matthew 7, 24“Anyone who hears and does what I say is like a man who had the sense to build his house on a rock. 25The rain poured down, the torrents came, the winds blew, and they beat against that house. But it didn't go down, because its foundation was on the rock. 26“Everyone who hears what I say but doesn't do it is like a man who was so foolish he built his house on sand. 27The rains poured down, the torrents came, the winds blew, and they beat against that house. And it went down with a big crash.” It would be good for us to meditate on the Sermon on the Mount. It is these words especially but all of His teachings elsewhere, especially those from His apostles, that Jesus is referring to. We are called to believe them but then also to put them into practice. His teachings are reliable and unshakably firm. 9He sent liberty to His people and ordered His covenant to be forever. His name is holy and awesome. 10To be wise, first fear the LORD; it is good sense for all to do that. He will be praised forever. In John 8 Jesus says, “36If, then, the Son frees you, you will really be free.” Paul in Romans 8 tells us, “2The rule of the Spirit, who gives life, has in Christ Jesus freed you from the rule of sin that kills.” In Galatians 3 he writes, “13Christ paid the price to free us from the curse of the Law when He was cursed for us (it is written: "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”) 14so that in Jesus Christ Abraham's blessing would come to the nations and we would receive the promised Spirit through faith.” This is the liberty Jesus sent to and sends to all who put their faith in Him. This new covenant in His blood is forever. This covenant, as seen in Jer. 31:31ff is unconditional. It simply calls up to believe it. All the work is His. Now modern Jews take the last part of verse 9 literally. His name is holy and awesome. The name in the Old Testament would be Yahweh. But they would take it to mean Qâdôsh and Noreah. We would say today, Jesus. We are called to be wise and fear the LORD. To fear the LORD is to hate evil and love the good. The Word teaches what that means. Heavenly Father, You have given us Your Son's body and blood for us to eat as the New Covenant. Grant us through this meal true fear and freedom. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Read the full article

Celebrate the Love Feast During Lent
The deep significance of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection are found in the Passover. #LoveFeast #Passover #LordsSupper #Eucharist #Communion
Imagine the street outside your home filled with laughing, playing children, the mouth-watering aroma of rich food being cooked over a fire wafting through your window, redolent with the heavy incense of blossoms, cedar, and spices. You look outside and see that a tumble of huts made from leafy, flowering branches has filled every outside space possible. Excitement is in the air. There is an…

#DailyDevotion Yah's, Jesus', Supper Is Something To Praise & Give Thanks
Tumblr media
#DailyDevotion Yah's, Jesus', Supper Is Something To Praise & Give Thanks Psalm 111 Praise the LORD! I will thank the LORD with all my heart in the fellowship of the righteous and in the congregation. Praise the LORD! Hallelu Yah! Did you see what I did there? In most places in the Psalms it is written this way. In fact, I think I only found one place where it was Hallelujah. Some places it is Hallelu YHWH. Yah is a name for the God of Israel throughout the Old Testament. It's not just a nickname or shortened name. It is a name within itself. The “lu” is there calling us to praise Yah. What often follows a call to praise Yah is thanksgiving. It is that way here. Giving thanks is part and parcel of praising God as it is also in blessing God. After calling everyone to praise Yah, the psalmist thanks the LORD with all his heart amongst, in the fellowship, of all fellow believers in the congregation. You see, in the Old Testament, they were called to gather together there also. We call the LORD's Supper the Eucharist, which means to give thanks. This psalm is associated with the LORD's Supper in the ancient Church. It is our fellowship with one another and with Christ's body and blood, so it makes sense also because thanksgiving is being made in the fellowship of all the saints. 2The LORD has done great things, things studied by all who delight in them. 3His work is glorious and majestic, and He will be righteous forever. 4He made His wonders something to be remembered. The great things of the LORD that are to be studied here are likely Israel's redemption from Egypt with all the signs, wonders and especially the Passover. Israel was called to remember these things. It was to be their delight. For this work of salvation for them was glorious and majestic. We, the Church, in the LORD's Supper proclaim His death until He comes. We remember the great work of salvation Jesus provided as He became our Passover. We should remember that as we partake and have fellowship with His body and blood. It is the New Testament for us in His blood. Just as the blood of the Passover lamb had the angel of death pass over them, as the blood of Christ is on our lips, death also passes over us. We need not fear it any longer. Christ's resurrection is our victory over death. Jesus' work of redemption is indeed glorious and majestic even if it looks horrific to the uninitiated. Jesus' suffering, death and resurrection should be studied by all who delight in it. We need to look back into the Law of Moses and investigate all the different sacrifices the LORD commanded them to do. The daily sacrifice for sins, the yearly sacrifice for sins, the whole burnt offering, the tithe, thanksgiving and peace offerings; these all point us to Jesus and His work of salvation for us. Considering them, our understanding of the LORD's Supper should deepen and delight us. It is no simple memorial meal. Here, as we become participants of it, as we fellowship with it-taking His body and blood upon our lips, we receive all the benefits of His sacrifice. His suffering is now our suffering. His judgment is now our judgment. His condemnation is now our condemnation. His death and burial is now our death and burial. His resurrection from the dead is now our resurrection from the dead. The reason this is so is because Jesus is Yah who we called everyone to praise. He is YHWH to whom we give thanks for all His benefits to us in this Supper. Heavenly Father, may we delight in looking into the work of Christ Jesus as He has become our Passover and gives us the benefits of that Passover through the bread and the wine which have become His very body and blood, given and shed for us for the forgiveness of sins. Always give us a deeper understanding as we fellowship with Him. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen Read the full article

I'm keeping Passover Wednesday 14 Nissan= April 8 at 6:30PM. I'll be drinking a glass of red wine, with unleavened bread, and horseradish. This is a Sabbath=Cease, a Holy Day of rest and I will be doing that as well. This is the 1st Day of The 7 Days of The Feast of Unleavened Bread, on this day we are to remove all leaven in our houses and eat unleavened bread for 1 week. The leaven=yeast represents sin and the Unleavened Bread represents the body of Jesus Christ without sin broken for our crimes. The wine represents his blood spilled for our crimes. The horseradish is a bitter herb eaten with the Unleavened Bread to remind of the bitterness God saved his people from in their slavery in Egypt. Passover is the day to remind how God delivered his people Israel from Egypt through the blood of a blemish-free lamb. Jesus is that lamb for all people and his death was a saving from God's punishment for our crimes for breaking his Law, by believing and accepting this everyone who does so will not die on The Day Jesus judges the world and will instead live forever with God on a New Earth with new bodies and no more pain or death or suffering with a new order for the old order will have passed away. The last day is also a Sabbath which is Tuesday at 6:30PM which I will also be resting on. This is the Lord's Supper Jesus commanded us to keep in remembrance of his death until his return. This happens once a year and it is Passover Fulfilled. Sunday Lord's Supper is a tradition not a commandment. Any of you are welcome to join me online in video chat on Facebook Messenger or in Spirit 6:30PM Hawaii Time. #passover #feastofunleavenedbread #unleavenesbread #lordssupper #Jesus #Christ #God #Christian #Yeshua #Messiah #Seder #pesach #Messianic https://www.instagram.com/p/B-rqT4jFhPA/?igshid=189bxicopwvv2
