Geralt probably cried the first time Ciri called him dad
Ciri: hey Dad can I go down to the creek with Lambert and engage in childlike tomfoolery
Geralt: yeah that's fine just be careful to not split your head open. I know you like Lambert but you don't want to end up like Lambert
Ciri: fair enough, thanks!
Geralt: dinners in an hour by the way!
Ciri: okay Dad!
*two minutes later*
Geralt: oh my gods she called me Dad
Vesemir: you just realized that?
Geralt: *already tearing ups* y yeah
Vesemir: she called you it twice
Geralt: OH MY GODS SHE CALLED ME DAD TWICE IM THE HAPPIEST FATHER ALIVE
Vesemir: Bud, that's like the bare minimum to fatherhood-
Geralt: ITS NOT FOR PEOPLE LIKE US. I HAVE TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW. THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE

@katkastrofa, circa 40-ish hours ago: Hey, what if our newest bunch of OCs adopted a baby from one of the other brothel girls who knew she couldn’t afford to raise one? That would make for some fun shenanigans :D
Me, with a notoriously non existent sleep schedule, instinct of self preservation or concern for my poor wrist: Alright, bet. Watch how fast I can make you fall in love with this hypothetical baby >:)
Tumblr media
Daneli as a gentle and loving caretaker-turned-adoptive-mother is something that can be So Personal, actually, and originally I was going to leave it at this quick sketch, but then I got carried away thinking about what this child will grow up to be like raised by this little gang of misfits, so…
Tumblr media
Here she is!! A little older and so, so beautiful, I need more of her in my life immediately, she’s way too precious
And, because I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t also add a sapphic element to this absolute cinnamon roll, a small crack ship that I’m only half serious about for when she’s a little older still:
Tumblr media
All in all, we may be getting impossibly far from canon, but I for one already cannot get enough of sweet darling Kumisai <3
(I fully drew three pieces from scratch in 9 hours I cannot feel my brain or my hands anymore send help)
#my art#artists on tumblr#the legend of korra#original characters#jinora#wow. nia drew a canon character? what is this?? who was I replaced by???#but joking aside. a small explanation for this crack ship#originally it was me editing my timeline and realising that Kumisai would be around 14/15 during book 4. the same age as Jinora#so my mind immediately went 👀👀👀 and I decided to go for it#since in sotrl I sorta implied Jinora had a gay awakening by watching Suiren. so.. why not go all out and make her another baby queer?#no offence to Kai. what they had was rather cute tbh. but it felt kinda out of nowhere and just added for the sake of parental drama#plus she was a young girl meeting someone her age for the first time. of course she got a crush#doesn’t mean she has to stick with it you know?#anyway. as for how they would meet. Midori could introduce them :D#Kumisai is Daneli’s daughter. who’s a friend of Summiya’s. who’s Zaheer’s sister. who’s Midori’s uncle. who’s friends with Jinora#and spirits know Jinora deserves to act her age a little more often. she has way too many responsibilities on her shoulders#so maybe Midori would think that a friend her age would do her some good#and don’t even try to tell me these two wouldn’t be absolutely adorable puppy crushing on each other. look how cute Jinora turned out here#might be the first time I’ve drawn her? not sure. maybe I did before but it was A LONG time ago. 2019 ish#but okay. enough rambling about Jinora. back to Kumisai#I don’t really have too many headcanons about her yet. but she’s probably rather happy and carefree#having a large support system as a result of being raised communally#I think she considers Daneli her mom and the others are her aunties. auntie Shezan in particular is a notoriously bad influence :)#and maybe one day she’d get to meet her bio mom. but only if that’s something both of them want. not sure yet#I feel like she’s rather disconnected from her water tribe heritage since everyone around her is Earth Kingdom. save Phailin who’s half FN#but she still has small hints of blue in her clothing. the colour matching her beautiful eyes. maybe she is curious about her bio dad a bit#since unlike with her bio mom no one knew him and can’t tell her anything. that’s bound to come as a natural curiosity at some point right?#maybe that can be part of her story when she’s an adult. trying to find her bio dad. but ultimately it doesn’t matter that much#because Daneli is her mom and the only parent she needs <3 I’m really just throwing out suggestions here to fill the tag space#kaaatttt come discuss all this stuff with me I waited all night for you to wake up >:) distract me from my grandma’s tv watching

A/N: I saw that Cain and Abel aren't like present in the show and I know they're technically Adam and Eve's kids, but let me have this please— I just wanna gush about this since it's been invading my mind.
cw: fem!reader (no pronouns, but reader is called wife/mama/mommy/mother)
Imagine: Being Adam's wife and having two sons with him.
Tumblr media
I can definitely see him being excited over having sons. Like, hell yeah! But but but also— I have this feeling in my gut that he'd be okay with being a girl dad, sooo after having your sons he's just like "Wifey, Sugartits, Babycakes—" Any nickname under the sun until you finally ask him what he wants and he just says he wants a daughter.
You can't tell me he didn't name Abel— and 💀 It's even funnier since Abel does have a little more resemblance of his father than Cain does. Cain was named by you and looks more like you. However, you can say his attitude is similar to Adam's. I can see them both having Adam's eyes when thinking up of how they'd look, but I'm leaving things up in the air. Just for this, because I think it'd be neat, the boys are twins. Cain is the older twin while Abel is the younger one.
Cain is kind of a menace...but still a good kid. He always pulls that "Because I'm the oldest" card with Abel and if he ever whacked his brother and he started crying, Cain immediately does that thing where the sibling just panics and stops them from crying or else he's getting in trouble with mama and papa. He teases his younger brother, but will get upset if anyone tries to bully Abel. Oh, but the biggest menace he is towards? Adam. Cain doesn't hate his dad at all. No, he just prefers you more and lowkey is a mama's boy. Adam can have Mr. Perfect (Abel), but he at least has mama.
Then Adam just straight up has beef with his own son 💀 Because Cain takes up your time and he swears the little shit is taunting him when you're not looking. Cain comes up when you and Adam are kissing or anything like that, holding his hands up like, "I want Mama's kisses too... 🥺" You can't resist because that's your baby and he's so adorable. There's this stare down between Adam and Cain...meanwhile Abel, being the good bean that he is, waddles towards you all and goes, "Mama! Papa! Look what I drew! :D" and it's just a sweet little drawing of him, his brother, you and Adam.
Speaking of Abel, he's a good boi. Cain calls him Mr. Perfect sometimes because Abel has some natural talent. He's especially good with music, much to Adam's delight. Still, he looks up to his brother and despite Cain's jealousy, they do get along nicely. They have this little game where they're building their own city and decide over several elements of it. Abel somehow always brings sheep into the mix, but his brother isn't complaining.
Abel doesn't play favorites and says he loves you and Adam equally. He always wants to make sure the two of you are present at the same time when showing his accomplishments or what he's found. Speaking of which, he has special interests that last for a while until he moves on to another one or some just last a very long time. An example would be sheep, as mentioned before. He even has a lamb plushie (I can see him watching Lamb Chop's Play Along and loving the show). Cain knows how precious this little lamb is to Abel and will raise chaos if it ever gets lost or stolen (he calls the plush "The Chosen").
Here's a funny little thing: the boys not recognizing Adam in the mask he wears. From the day they were born, they always saw their father without his mask and have grown used to seeing his actual face. One day, they ask you where he was and you tell them it's work related but he'll be back to teach them some new songs. Just imagine Adam coming back, calling out that he's home, which cause the boys to rush up to him. Then they just stop because... "Mama, who's this stranger in our house!?" Abel literally starts crying— saying this isn't papa. Meanwhile Cain's mind immediately says violence is the answer (thanks, Adam). You have to calm both boys down and explain to them about the mask.
Flight lessons are stressful. It all started when Cain began jumping off of the furniture and escalated to him jumping off the bunk bed (because it'd be adorable for them to have bunk beds). So, it seems like it was time to show the boys how to use their wings. It's harder than it looks. Abel isn't okay with jumping off from anywhere unless Cain is going to jump with him. Fine with his brother because he enjoys doing this. Eventually, they're able to fly and it's a joy! They can fly around Heaven with you and Adam and it's absolutely adorable.
Cain and Abel have different ways to refer to you and Adam. Cain calls Adam 'dad' or 'papa' but does call him 'father' when he's upset or serious. Meanwhile, he calls you 'mama', 'mommy', or 'mom' (mom is more frequent when around others or strangers) and it's rare when he calls you mother. Abel just calls you two mama and papa. He'll only use mother and father if he's around people he doesn't know or meeting for the first time.
I have more thoughts about these little beans such as how they are around Lute (#1 and only Babysitter), Emily (Abel affectionately calls her Auntie Em), Sera and possibly Lucifer and Charlie (because you can't tell me Adam would not brag about having kids 💀). Like, I can see Cain being brutally honest when he first sees Lucifer because he's that type of kid. Will 100% make a comment about the man's height. There's also the fact that both boys are into music like their father. Abel once asked, "So if that's Queen, then who's the King?" when Adam tells them about Queen. Also, I can very much see Cain getting into gardening. If you want more of these then let me know!

Happy House || Young President!Coriolanus Snow x reader

Summary: This is a happy house, we’re happy here, right?

In the quiet morning light that filtered through the windows of the grand dining hall, your family sat at the polished mahogany table, seemingly the picture of domestic bliss.
Coriolanus, his chiseled features etched with a façade of contentment, sat at the head of the table, his newspaper spread before him. Balanced on his lap, was your three year old daughter, her tiny hands occupied with a toy.
You sat opposite him, watching the scene with a practiced smile, your eyes betraying none of the turmoil that churned within you. You sipped at your coffee slowly, your eyes moving to your eldest as he shovels spoonfuls of cereal into his mouth, oblivious to the tension that hung in the air.
As if on cue, the nanny entered the room, cradling the youngest member of the Snow family in her arms. Your heart twisted at the sight of the woman, the nanny’s eyes darting to Coriolanus, who met her gaze with a knowing look. You forced herself to smile as you took the baby girl into your arms, your fingers tracing the delicate features you had come to love despite the circumstances of your birth.
“Look who’s awake,” You softly say to your daughter with a bright expression as she smiles up at you. But as you look up, you catch Coriolanus beckon the young woman over to him. It was the subtle exchanges between Coriolanus and the nanny that made your blood run cold.
A glance here, a lingering touch there—each movement a betrayal that cut deeper than any knife. You swallowed the bile rising in your throat, forcing yourself to focus on the facade you presented to the world.
Later that day, as your family made a public appearance, you plastered on your most convincing smile, your hand resting lightly on Coriolanus’s arm as you both posed for the cameras. Lucky Flickerman’s question about another baby drew a forced chuckle from your lips, “Maybe not for a while,” You responded, feeling the venomous look Coriolanus shot you from your peripheral.
It wasn’t until you were alone in the privacy of you solar that the facade finally crumbled. Coriolanus’s anger boiled over at your comment, his words cutting like shards of glass. Your own fury matched his, your heart pounding in your chest as you dared to confront him about his infidelity.
“What do you mean ‘maybe not for a while’?” Coriolanus’s voice sliced through the tense silence, his anger simmering just beneath the surface .
Your bristled at his tone, your own frustration bubbling over. “What do you think I mean, Coriolanus? We already have three children to care for, and I’m not eager to bring another into this mess. I’m not a baby machine for heaven’s sake.”
Coriolanus’s jaw clenched, his gaze darkening. “Mess? Is that what you think of our family?” You shot back, “It’s what you’ve made it,” your voice tinged with bitterness. “You think I don’t know about your affairs? About the way you’ve been sneaking around with my servants behind my back?”
Coriolanus’s eyes flashed with anger, his fists clenched at his sides. “How dare you accuse me of such things? You know nothing!” “I know enough,” You retorted, your own anger rising. “I’ve seen the way you look at her, the way you touch her when you think no one is watching.”
“That’s ridiculous,” Coriolanus scoffed, but there was a hint of unease in his voice. “Is it, Coriolanus?” Your voice was sharp as you enunciated his full name, your eyes narrowing as you met his gaze head-on. “You can deny it all you want, but I’m not blind, I’m not stupid. I see what’s happening, and I won’t stand for it any longer.”
Coriolanus’s face twisted with rage, his hands trembling with suppressed fury. “How dare you speak to me like that? I am your husband, and you will show me the respect I deserve!”
“Respect?” You laughed bitterly, your heart pounding in your chest. “You lost any right to my respect the moment you betrayed our marriage vows-“ Your words were cut off when Coriolanus grabs your forearm, harshly pulling you close to him as you felt his breath fanning your features, your breath catching in your throat as you struggled to comprehend the betrayal.
Before you could react, the doors to the solar swung open, revealing your children and the nanny, frozen in the threshold. Your heart sank as you watched Coriolanus hastily release his tight grip on you, plastering on a false smile as he turned to his son with outstretched arms.
“My boy,” he said, his voice strained. “Shall we go play outside?” With a final glance in your direction, Coriolanus left the room, leaving you to pick up the shattered pieces of your reality. As the nanny awkwardly averted her gaze, you gathered your daughters close, your voice trembling with suppressed rage.
“Next time,” you said to the nanny, not bothering to look at her, your voice tinged with bitterness, “you should knock before entering a closed room. Understood?”
The nanny nodded mutely, her eyes downcast as you led your children away from the shattered remnants of your once-happy home. But deep within you, you knew that the facade they presented to the world could only hold for so long before the truth tore your family apart at the seams.

Reader and Drew were in a relationship for about 3 years before OBX came out. They have a 3/4 year old daughter together. However, around 2022 they split due of rumors about Drew and Odessa and it seems he did have a thing for Odessa. Drew still spends time with their daughter and whenever he picks her up Odessa always seems to be with him, it upsets Reader to see how quickly he moved on. Reader expresses her feelings to Madelyn Cline and Madison Bailey as she is still good friends with cast members despite her and Drew no longer being together.
I love your work so much and I loved this idea so much hopefully you can do this I would really appreciate it 🤍
a/n: Thank you so much for this idea. I loved writing this I hope you don’t mind that i changed a little bit and i had to give them a some what happy ending 😁 lol
warnings: none
Y/d/n = Your daughter’s name
Turn Back Time
Tumblr media
“Daddy’s coming, daddy’s coming” Your daughter was singing while jumping on your bed, you were fixing yourself up in the mirror. You looked at her through the mirror and smiled.
“Yep he’s on his way! What do you think you and daddy will do today?”
“Everything!” She screamed and landed on her little butt.
You giggled. You loved how much she adored her dad, despite the fact that you guys are no longer together. He still made it a priority to see her multiple times a week and take her overnight some weekends. Some days and nights were harder than others, even though you both fought and argued a lot, you were both always on the same page when it came to your daughter.
“Come here baby, mommy’s gonna miss you” You say scooping her up in your arms. She cuddled into you. You both heard a car door slam shut. “He’s here!!!!!” She jumped off the bed and ran as fast as her little legs could go. You followed behind her with a smile. There were a few small knocks at the door and your daughter gladly opened it.
“Daddy!!!” She ran into his arms, he was squatting down to her level she almost knocked him over.
“Y/d/n!! Hi baby girl!” he said back, squeezing her and kissing all over her face making her giggle.
You couldn’t help but notice his car was still running, Odessa sitting in the passenger seat. You rolled your eyes subtly and shook your head, gaze falling to the floor. Drew set y/d/n down and looked at you with a small smile. Your daughter ran back in the house to collect the things she was taking for her visit.
“Hey mama” Drew said stepping foot into the entry way. Your dog that you once shared together ran up to him. “Hi buddy!” drew quietly said petting the dog.
“Hi Joseph” you said short turning your gaze elsewhere.
“What do you have planned for the day?” He asked.
“Catching up with Madison and Madelyn, we’re getting some lunch.”
“Oh so in other words a get together to talk shit on me?” He said smirking and winking playfully.
“Not everything is about you.” You say rolling your eyes.
“Relax, i’m only kidding. What’s up with you? You seem off?” He asked “Is it that time of the month?” He joked laughing a bit.
“Alright. Y/d/n!!! Come on, time to go!!” You yelled shaking your head.
“Y/n i’m just messing with you!” He said with a smile on his face. “Come on, talk to me what’s up?”
“Why do you bring her to my house.” You said motioning towards his car. You stood there with your arms crossed feeling vulnerable. “When are you gonna admit you guys are dating?”
“Why would i admit or say something that’s not true?” He asked with an annoying tone.
You just chuckled and shook your head. “Mhm”
“Come on, quit being like that y/n. What do you still care about me?” He said wiggling his eye brows, starting to mess with you again.
“Wish I didn’t.” You say quite enough for just you two to hear.
“I’m ready!” Y/d/n interrupts dragging an over flowing bag with toys and random ‘necessities’.
“You don’t mean that.” Drew said still looking in your eyes, you could sense a little hurt in them. You leaned down to kiss your daughter bye.
“Have fun girlfriend!” You say standing back up. She ran out the door and Drew just stood there looking at you with sad eyes. Once you looked at him he just turned and left. You watched your daughter run to the car. “Dessa!” you heard her scream, you watched Odessa wave at her excitedly with a huge smile on her face. Drew buckled your daughter in and usually he turns to wave bye to you, but this time he didn’t.
——
“I don’t know, sometimes i wonder what it would be like to have my family together. I do love him still, so much” Saying the last part just barley over a whisper. Madelyn looked at you with understanding eyes. Madison just pouted her lips.
“I don’t understand why he doesn’t just admit they are together.” You say defeated.
“Oh Y/n.. They aren’t together! They really are just good friends.” Madelyn says. “I hang out with her sometimes and she’s always hooking up with someone different.” she says giggling.
“Oh” You say, thinking back to how you’ve been treating Drew. “Well fuck, i’m such an asshole i should’ve took his word for it. I’m so stupid.” You say putting your head in your hands.
“No, you just aren’t over him, and that’s totally okay!! You both need to have a serious conversation about it. Madison said. You shook your head agreeing.
“Okay enough talk about that, what have you girls been up to?” You ask, thinking about how you said not everything was about Drew but here you are doing just what he’d said.
———
Folding your daughter’s laundry in the living room getting some chores done with an extra big glass of wine before your daughter gets home, you find yourself zoning out thinking about how this conversation could go. You’d hoped he’d want to have one with you. You heard faint quiet knocks at your door, letting you know she was home. You stood up, all the wine you’d consumed hit you and you were feeling a little dizzy. You weren’t drunk just feeling tipsy, you silently admit to yourself that maybe you shouldn’t have had that extra glass. You make your way to the door and swing it open expecting to see a happy energetic girl, but instead she was sleeping, clinging to her daddy for dear life. He was rubbing small circles on her back and swaying back and forth. You smiled at him but he brushed it off and whispered to you. “I’m gonna lay her in her bed. Is that okay?” He asked looking to the ground. You shook your head yes, following him to her room.
He carefully laid her in her bed and tucked her in extra comfy, you were glad he’d already put her pajamas on. You thought to yourself how amazing he was with her, it came so natural to him. He stood up and naturally backed up so you could kiss her. You leaned down kissing her and whispering sweet nothings in her ear. Drew couldn’t help thinking the same of you. His favorite thing about you was that you are the mother to his child. He wouldn’t want it any other way.
“I’m gonna head out y/n..” Drew turned to leave.
“Wait!” you whisper yelled, losing your balance a little from the wine.
Drew raised an eyebrow. You grabbed his arm and led him out to the hallway. “I wanna talk to you about things.” You said looking up into his eyes.
“Y/n I already told you, it’s not like that with her” He said already getting annoyed.
“Nooo not about that, we’ll kind of but not.”
Drew’s eyes flickered between yours, the corner of his lip slowly turning up. “Are you drunk?” He laughs.
“What? No. Absolutely not. I just had a glass of wine.”
“One glass?” He said smiling.
“Fine 2… big ones. Come on, will you please talk to me?”
“Of course, you know i’ll always talk with you” he said following you to the living room. He took a seat next to you immediately grabbing a piece of y/d/n’s laundry to fold. You just watched him for a few moments while you gathered your thoughts.
“I’m sorry Drew. I’m sorry for how i’ve been treating you recently i-i just can’t help but think how different everything would be if..”
“If we never broke up?” He finished your sentence.
A sigh escaped your lips as you reached for your wine glass. “I think about it all the time. I wish I could go back and change things. Change my feelings, my insecurities within the relationship, everything.” You say fiddling with your glass.
Drew continued folding the rest of the clothes. He just listened and shook his head in an understanding way.
“Every time I see you I think about how much I miss you.. I miss you so much.” You whispered the last part.
“Y/n.” Drew sighed putting a shirt down. “Come here” He patted his lap.
You looked at him and then back to your drink. You set it down and carefully straddled his lap. You watched as his eyes scanned every inch of your face, your eyes closing at the feeling of him pushing a strand of your hair behind your ear.
“There isn’t a day where i don’t sit and wonder those exact things. I love you, I always have and I always will. You and Y/d/n are my life. Nothing will ever compare nor will anything ever change that. I hate what happened and knowing how you felt but we can’t change the past. Everything happens for a reason honey.”
You sat on his lap listening with tears streaming down your face. Drew brought both of his hands up to your face to wipe the tears from under your eyes with his thumbs. He brought your head towards him and placed a gentle kiss to your forehead. “I mean it Y/n, I love you to death”
“I love you” you whispered.
You leaned against his chest, his hands naturally rubbing all over your back to soothe you.
“Mmm” you hummed in comfort. The sound of his heart beat, the smell of his cologne, his embrace all made you feel so safe and content. You have missed this feeling so much.
“Drew?”
“hmm?” He said looking down at you running his hand through your hair.
“I need you.. Like really bad”
He grinned from ear to ear crashing his lips into yours.

You’ll always be important to me
Daryl Dixon • She/Her Pronouns • When you and Daryl started your own little family, Judith thought that meant everything was changing. But she will always be a part of their family • ANGST/SFW • TW: Pregnancy & Birth Mentioned / Anxiety / Sleep Deprivation / Minor Injuries • Commonwealth canon re-written
Requested by: Anon
Tumblr media
“Run that back?”
“I’m pregnant, D…”
Daryl looks at his wife a bit taken back by what she said. The silence ate Y/N alive when he didn’t say anything in response after she stated supposedly good news a second time.
Then she was suddenly brought into his embrace feeling the archer tighten his grasp on her carefully.
“We’re gonna be parents…holy shit. We’re havin’ a baby” Daryl lets out a chuckle as he held her close feeling her latch onto him.
“Our family is getting bigger…”
~
“She’s having a baby?” Judith questions once more to Daryl watching the man nod as she gave him a blank stare followed by silence.
Before he could even question what could be going on in that mind of hers, the young Grimes went in for a hug that he happily returned.
“You and Y/N are going to be great parents”
They kind of…already were because the two took in the Grimes kids when Michonne left on this unknown journey that only Judith knew was to find Rick. Daryl was always Rick and Michonne’s first option when it came to taking their kids in any way. Judith has always been the archer’s adoptive daughter in a way that everyone knew, and Y/N has told him every time they just thought about having kids of their own that he will be great because Judith was his first kid.
She always will be
Even when she has her doubts
The first two months into pregnancy were a bit stressful because Alexandria had just suffered a herd going through it and the news of this new community surfaced. Which lead to a possible ally ship that Eugene, Ezekiel, and Yumiko were being the voices for Alexandria to acquire such. Of course Carol will help in her own way to make sure this community wasn’t going to stab them in the back in any way, but for now their promise of helping Alexandria rebuild itself sounded promising. They even offered housing in their community for those who wanted it until their community is rebuilt. As long as they did their part.
Which is only fair. But it wasn’t going to be easy to try and convince an already anxious person to move into unknown territory.
“No”
“But Y/N—-“
“I’m pregnant! It’s an unknown community! My brother is here, my family is here, why would you—-“
“Jude and RJ are comin’ with us. And Aaron will visit but he’s takin’ lead from the Alexandria’s side on the rebuild”
“Why can’t we help—-“
“Because you’re pregnant and Commonwealth has the resources”
“Resources?! We have—-“
“NOT IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS TO YEA!” Daryl yells, which was met with instant regret given the flinch that he drew out of his wife. “I’m sorry…I’m really sorry for snappin’. I just. I can’t lose you…I can’t. Lose. You.” He tried his best to contain his anxiety that was picking at him to get him to sob as Y/N brought herself close bringing her arms around his middle.
“Daryl…Nothin’ bad is gonna happen to me. Or our baby. Or our kids…we’ll be safe…”
“Please Y/N…we don’t have to live there forever. Just until Alexandria is rebuilt…Aaron will come and get us when it’s done.”
Y/N held her husband while all his anxiety continued to radiate off him as she rests her chin on his chest looking up at him.
“Okay”
“Okay?”
“Yes…but I’m not raising our baby in the Commonwealth. Once we are both fit, and Alexandria is back in working order…we come home”
“I promise, sunshine” Daryl presses a kiss to her forehead before her cheek ending with one on her lips. But he wasn’t letting go of her anytime soon. “Yea think they’d try anythin’?”
“I trust our people who found the community when they say to put some trust in this place. But I’m just. If something were to happen, Carol won’t leave us in the dark. None of them would”
“I’ll burn the place down if anythin’ happens to my family”
His wife laughs to such even if it were true that the archer would do such if it came to that. But thankfully, the entrance into this new community wasn’t too bad and that they would be updated occasionally on the rebuild by Y/N’s brother Aaron.
Their temp apartment was a bit small, but once Daryl finished training they put the family of five (including Dog) into a bigger place. One where Judith and RJ shared the other room and the adults obviously got their own.
“I look ridiculous”
“I think…as long as it protects my strong handsome husband from walkers…I think you’ll look fine” Y/N smiles waiting for Daryl to step out of the bathroom in his armor while she waited, Judith came in in the new dress she picked out when getting clothing for school. “Oh my god. You look beautiful! Come here look in the mirror!” She got up from the bed directing Judith into the full body mirror smiling even more when the young child started to smile.
“You think I’ll make friends?”
“Of course I do! You are a wonderful, smart, creative young woman that who wouldn’t be your friend?” Y/N smiles holding Judith close as she held her arms until she felt safe to let go or at least until Daryl stepped out in his armor.
“I really feel ridiculous” Daryl states joining the two in the mirror watching them both look at him. “What? You agree?”
“You look like a stormtrooper”
“What’s a stormtrooper?” Judith questions making Y/N laugh to herself forgetting she was born in the apocalypse.
“It’s what Uncle Daryl is. But Uncle Daryl is on the good side while stormtroopers were bad guys”
“Yknow. There’s a rental video place. I bet yea they’ve got Star Wars…Aunt Carol has a TV”
“I swear. This is a rare sighting, Daryl actually offering to watch Star Wars” Y/N elbows the man while letting go of Judith a moment.
“Never said I’m watchin’. Y’all can watch it with Carol”
“Sounds good. Carol is a better cuddle partner anyway” Y/N playfully jokes resulting in a glare and a scoff from the archer.
“Nah. You and I only cuddle”
“Jealous aren’t we Uncle Daryl?” Judith giggles a bit before leaving the two to make sure her brother was ready to go. Daryl felt the embarrassment upon admitting such bring the heat to the tips of his ears.
The woman laughs herself before bringing her husband in the mirror with her holding him from the side. He wrapped his arm around her bringing his lips to her temple.
“Wanna see something amazing before you take the kids to school?”
Daryl felt her pull away he always hated that feeling and watched her pull her sweater back enough to show that she popped.
“Now how the fuck am I supposed to go to work and focus when that’s gonna be on my mind all day” Daryl instantly brought Y/N close listening to her giggle as he gently rests his hand on her bump.
“You make it look like nothing”
“It’s somethin’, sunshine” Daryl smiles bringing her back into his embrace as she kept her face away from the armor not liking the new plastic smell.
This was nice. Experiencing the good domestic life…something people since the outbreak happened have longed for. The kids were enjoying school, Daryl was slowly rising in his job resulting in his family moving at least two more times in the new place, and given all the medical resources Y/N was healthy and so was their baby girl. Carol did more research and learned that the community did have an intense leader type before they joined and she was taken down by her own assistant who now helps run more of a council system like what they had at Alexandria. So the overwhelming anxiety about their safety lessened but it was still there.
“You’ve been put on bedrest for a reason”
“Did Daryl tell you to come here and just to tell me that?” Y/N scoffs letting Carol into their place.
“I don’t think you should be questioning when you’re not listening to doctor’s orders”
“Daryl left early and forgot to make lunches for the kids…so I had to. All I remember him telling me was you were going to take the kids…now you’re back”
“Cuz well he told me to keep an eye on yea and make sure you were in bed”
Y/N started to ignore her as she tiredly sits on the couch resting her hands on her belly. Carol brought herself in the kitchen to grab Y/N a glass of water before noticing the letters on the counter from Aaron. They weren’t anything bad, just what was promised of him to update her on Alexandria. And updates on Gracie, Maggie and Hershel adjusting,…their family back home. She was getting homesick and didn’t tell Daryl about it because of how great this place is and how he at least wants the baby to be delivered in a place built for it because Commonwealth did have a hospital. She’s just been keeping a lot of her feelings to herself which led to her stressing and the OB telling her to stay in bed.
“You know once the baby is here we get to go home” Carol assures her as she hands the glass while sitting beside her friend. “Once you two are strong enough, we’ll pack up and head home. I know Aaron will be excited to meet his niece”
The silence was killer and Carol couldn’t help but sense there was much more to it.
“Y/N…I won’t tell Daryl anythin’ you don’t want me to” and that prompted Y/N to finally make eye contact with her before quickly looking away. “Hun…”
“I don’t…I don’t want our kids feeling like, we don’t care about them when she comes. I…I know she’s going to be a priority but I’m just worried…”
“Y/N…Judith and RJ are so loved by you and Daryl. It would take killing the both of you to stop such. Even then I doubt you’ll ever stop. You’re bringing a baby into the world. They know it’ll take time to go back to the old routine. But even then, you love so much and I mean so fucking much. They’ll never forget it”
When the baby finally came, Carol brought the kids to meet her once it was okay to do so. And of course Daryl was hogging their baby because when the three entered the room also being greeted by Ezekiel, they noticed Daryl protectively holding his baby.
“I swear D. Has your wife, aka the baby’s mother, even got a chance to hold her?”
“Yeah” Daryl scoffs. “When she came out” he adds and that led to a bit of laughter to fill the room as he brought himself over to Judith and RJ kneeling before them to show the little girl sleeping peacefully in his embrace.
“She’s tiny” RJ comments as he looks at the child shocked on how the fuck this little human came into the world.
“What’s her name?”
“Robin” Y/N tiredly replies from the bed as Carol approaches her side smiling and brushing the loose hairs out of her face.
“You did good, mama” Carol smiles sitting with Y/N on her bed watching the display of Daryl with all three kids. “They’re going to be inseparable”
Robin Dixon was SWARMED when they finally returned to Alexandria. For Daryl’s anxiety, they waited for her to be a month old before moving back. Maggie and Aaron instantly went toward the child, as Aaron took said child from Daryl and before he could even try and get his daughter back Maggie cut between them.
“It’s our time with the newest addition”
“But—-“
“No buts! You took my sister away for almost a year and now I’m making up for that time with my niece”
“You’re gonna take my kid for almost a year?!”
“No! An hour at most” Aaron scoffs followed by a smirk as he knelt down to show his kid her cousin while Maggie showed Hershel their new family member.
Y/N felt overwhelmed with joy, fear, anxiety…all kinds of things. But she was happy to be home…even if some part of her fear was triggered by worry. Especially when she noticed Judith try and get Daryl’s attention when it’s so focused on this little baby. His baby.
Hours passed…the Dixons and Grimes were back in their house putting everything away and Y/N was thankful for the nursery being finished when they arrived. By help of Maggie. As Daryl started to get Robin to calm down to sleep, Y/N went to check on the Grimes kids. Finding RJ already passed out in his own bed, leaving her to check on Judith who sat on her bed looking at Carl’s hat in her hands.
“You happy to be in your old room again?” Y/N smiles leaning against the door when she noticed a few tears in the young girl’s eyes. “Hey…” her smile faded as she brought herself in closing the door not all the way before sitting beside Judith. “Love, what’s wrong?”
“I miss my mom…my dad…Carl…” Judith sniffled as she carefully hugged the hat while Y/N wrapped her arm around her shoulder. “I know change is normal and all…but I just. It’s been a month already and I feel like I’m just going to be forgotten about”
New baby. New environment. Y/N was still in that weird haze of unwelcome emotions do to hormones as she brought Judith close resting her head on top of hers.
“No one is going to forget you. You are very important to a lot of us. You are so loved and you are a huge part of why a lot of us got together. You are a big piece in our family, Jude”
“Then…wh…”
“Hm? What is it?”
“I know she’s bright and shiny, and his blood…but I just. Don’t think I’m that important to Uncle Daryl anymore”
Right before Y/N can assure her of anything, the door pushed open finding a semi tired RJ that was eavesdropping but also the archer standing behind him. The display made both girls think that RJ heard Judith was in distress in some way that she needed an adult. Which was the truth but he was looking for Y/N first, and found Daryl.
Now they’re here and Daryl felt awful hearing such as he enters with RJ who instantly sprinted to Y/N when he started making his way in.
“You are very important to me, Jude.” Daryl brought himself to sit on the opposite side of her as all of them were on the bed now. “Yeah, I’ve got a baby now…but in a sense, she’s not my first kid. I helped raise yea. Took care of yea. Made sure you had some sense of a childhood in this hell of a world…and did my best not to let you feel an ounce of abandonment when Michonne left. Same for RJ. Yeah…your mom will come back after she finds whatever she went out there for. But you’ll always be my kid”
Judith couldn’t contain the tears anymore as she sobbed into Daryl when he brought her into his embrace. He held her protectively…the same feeling…
Like when he first held her

Sunday. A day in the week, on which you would get out of bed, prepare breakfast for your husband and daughter and then try to make them go for a walk through the park. Today however, you´re woken by a rumbling thunder.
Groaning, you turn around under your blanket to wrap your arms around your husband, but only grasp nothing. Where was he? Had your daughter yelled for him because she was scared? Turning again, you looked at the alarm clock on your nightstand; 10:30 am already. What happened and where was Jongho?
You heard the main door close and a squeaked giggle from your daughter, have they been outside in this weather? “Shh, we don´t want to wake eomma, she went to bed late last night.” Jongho said quietly, you could hear the smile in his voice as he spoke. Slowly, you got up and wrapped yourself in your bathrobe, your footsteps almost not to be heard as you dragged yourself to the living area of the apartment.
Neither of them noticed you watching, Jongho giggling quietly as he helped Byeol take off her muddy rubber boots and her little raincoat. Your three years old daughter truly comes after her dad, fearless and the cute nose scrunch when she laughs included. Before your daughter could run off, Jongho already picked her up, carrying her over to the bathroom, the grocery bags standing in the hallway. You quietly went and unpacked the groceries, listening to your husband and your daughter with a smile. Despite Jongho being an Idol, the three of you were living in a small apartment and it was wonderful, you wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
Jongho's voice, accompanied by the giggles of your daughter echo through the apartment and it makes your heart swell. “We only need one little towel for you, Byeol- no, no that's eomma’s we can't-” Your husband tries to negotiate with the still giggling three years old, he'll bend to all her wishes and whining in less than a second, you just knew it. “Okay, okay fine…you can have eomma's towel- not this? But- Byeol, wait!” You weren't able to hold back your laughter when he, once again, gave in to the wishes of his daughter, which the girl heard and promptly came running. The view of her, wrapped into his too big bathrobe and dragging your towel after her, just drew more laughter and a soft smile from you.
When Jongho finally caught up, he saw you standing there, the little girl on your hip, the towel in your other hand. He slowly approached you to press a soft kiss on your lips, but a tiny hand between your faces stopped him, causing his eyes to go wide. “Why, Byeol?” He asked the giggling girl, who just pouted. “Appa no kissy! My eomma, my appa. Only me kissy!” The pout still on her lips, Byeol leaned towards Jongho, both her hands on each side of your husband's face as she gave his face a squeeze. The laugh from you caused him to stare at you, his expression priceless. “Yah, don't laugh at me, y/n. I just want a kiss from you, jagiya!” He whined and you then leaned in to kiss him, which then caused Byeol to squeak and try to separate the two of you.
“Eomaaa!” Byeol then whined and you gave her a surprised look, head tilted. “You nap! Appa me make food!” She explained and you couldn't hold back another little chuckle, before handing her back to your husband. “Okay fine, i´ll leave you two and go back to bed then. Make sure she doesn´t hurt herself, Jongho.” “Don't worry, love. Go and rest a little more.” He hums and when his lips pressed a last kiss to your forehead, you left for the bedroom again.
The sounds of kitchen utensils clattering and your husband and the little ball of joy that is your daughter let you doze off, making you sleep a dreamless sleep until you are woken by two kisses. There they were, Jongho wearing an apron and looking rather disheveled and exhausted and next to him was Byeol. They had brought a tray with breakfast, some pancakes, some savory bits and homemade orange juice. “Birthday eomma! Appa and Byeol made food!” Your daughter squeaked, pushing a picture into your hands as she climbed up onto the bed to cuddle with you. Jongho couldn't hold back a chuckle, it wasn't your birthday, and he did try to explain it to Byeol, yet, he also didn't want to lessen her joy of giving you gifts. And after all, he got to spend a wonderful morning baking and cooking with her for you. So, he made both of his most beloved girls happy, and that's what counts, right?

“You need to eat.”
You glanced up at Arthur, the fire between the two of you illuminating him in a orange glow. Your food had gone cold, and you didn’t mean to be wasteful, but today was…a lot. You shifted uncomfortably on the large rock you'd perched yourself on.
“‘M not hungry.”
You heard him sigh as you stared down at your plate.
“You gonna tell me what’s wrong or are you just gonna sit there and sulk.”
“It's nothing-”
It was something, it was definitely something. You went into town on your own, bright and early so you could be in and out of the shops and get back to camp while the sun was still up. That was the plan, pick up some spices, and oddly enough a picture frame, Arthur had asked for it but he said it wasn't for him, probably gonna be a gift of some kind, you didn't think too much about it.
While you were making sure you're satchel was still secure, you heard a familiar voice.
“D/n?” he called from across the street.
You froze, but just for a moment, you tried climbing onto your horse as fast as you could by you were stopped by a firm grip on your shoulder. Turning, you saw him, right in front of you, your cousin, your asshole of a cousin, Damian.
“Well I'll be damned, it is you!”
Taking a breath you said, “Do I know you?”
“‘Do you’- d/n stop playing around!”
His voice was loud, loud enough to garner unwanted attention from those around you.
“I don't know no d/n sir, you've got the wrong man, now you best take your hand off me before you lose it.”
He backed off, a small apologetic yet nervous smile on his face, “sorry, you just uh, look an awful lot like my little cousin.”
Finally mounting your horse, you looked down at the man. You didn't say anything, just holding his gaze in yours for a long moment before giving him a quick nod and riding off.
You rode out of town faster than you should have, gaining various shouts and complaints from the townspeople who'd nearly stepped in your way.
As you broke out into the open road, your mind swelled with thoughts.
D/n was dead, she’d been dead a long, long time and you really didn't need reminders of her life, especially not the parts she hated.
You didn't want to hate your cousin, you just did. He was an ass and so was the rest of his family, you guess that technically included you too, but you never really felt like they were your family- even when you were little. You were different, so they treated you different. You never knew what tipped them off so early. Maybe you played with the boys too much, or you were too rough with the girls. Whatever it was, they knew before you did, they considered their daughter dead before she was, and they treated you like you killed her.
You liked being dead now, you thought you wouldn't have to worry about your family anymore, they had a whole funeral for you and everything, you figured that they'd move on, that if you did run into them, they'd take you as a ghost and nothing more. Your cousin was always an asshole though, and could never quiet get with the program, that made y'all alike in some ways, but mostly it just drew a bigger rift between you and your family. Everybody loved him, but they hated you, wasn't that funny?
You skid to a stop right outside of camp, zoning back into your surroundings just in time. Hoping off your horse, petting her for a short moment before tying her to a post.
It didn't take long for Arthur to find you, having only been in camp a couple of minutes before he spotted you. Before he even reached you, he could see the grim look on your face as you sat on your cot, glaring at the ground.
Arthur sat next to you, rubbing your back with his hand for a short moment. Arthur wasn't really a touchy person, not in front of people at least, a soothing touch on the back was as close to a kiss as you'd get with this many people around.
You glanced up at him, meeting his eyes for a short moment before starting back down at the ground below.
It didn't take much for him to convince you to take a ride with him, especially when he offered to let you ride his horse with him, you appreciated it, knowing that yours would have bucked you off the moment you saddled her after you nearly ran her through camp. You almost felt bad- when you climbed on the horse behind Arthur, watching him avert his gaze from anyone who looked in your direction.
He wasn't ashamed, you knew that, he was just private, didn't like it when people paid too much attention to your relationship, or you at all for that matter.
You rode together for a long while, once you figured the road was clear enough, you wrapped your arms around Arthur and rested against his back, you felt him tense, then ask if you were okay, you nodded, he relaxed after a moment, quietly continuing down the road, he knew you weren't alright, not fully, but he figured talking could wait a couple of hours.
Now you're here, you sat on a rock while Arthur set up camp, when you mumbled an offer to help, he shot it down, reassuring you it was fine.
By the time food was cooked, the sun had set completely, the fire being the only source of light.
“- I swear I just…ran into somebody today.”
You could here the faint clink of silverware against the bowl as Arthur set it to the side.
“‘Somebody’ like who?”
You sighed.
“Like my cousin, Damien, ran into him in town today.”
You weren't fully sure you told Arthur about Damien, but when you looked up at him over the fire you could see a look of annoyance on his face, so you had to at least have mentioned him and his aggravating exploits.
“It's stupid, I just… I don't know. I thought that I would never run into them again, or maybe that they wouldn't recognize me if they did. But he called that little girl's name and it just felt like my heart had stopped.”
Starting down at the dirt, you heard Arthur push himself up off the ground, the dirt crunching beneath his boots. Then he was sitting right next to you, the stone just big enough to hold two queers at once. Meeting his eyes again, you opened your mouth to speak, but all that came out was a long, tired sigh.
“I know, “ he said, his voice so calm and soft, a tone reserved for those that deserved it, “come here, boy..”
And you did, leaning your head on his shoulder, buried in the nook of his neck, your arms just barely around him in an effort. He wrapped his arms around you far tighter, pulling you into him, feeling your shallow breaths as the day's events replayed in your mind.
“That's it, good boy,” he muttered.
A small smile formed on your face. You hummed in contentment, squeezing him a bit tighter, forcing a small chuckle out of him.
“You liked that?” you nodded, he laughed again.
“It's helping..”
“I'll keep that in mind.”

Magical Ghost
It all starts with a flash: Blindingly bright, and toxically green. A sickly-sweet electric smell permeates the air and dances on the tongue.
And then poor Danny stumbles out emitting an otherworldly glow, and wearing...
Is that a frilly black dress?
"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god-" Tucker nearly faints.
"D-Danny?" Sam calls, face white as a sheet.
Danny wobbles in place. "Y-yeah?"
"Oh thank goodness!!" Sam and Tucker rush toward him.
"Stupid question, but- Danny, are you alright?" Sam asks nervously while the two finish checking all of his limbs are in place.
"Also, what's with the dress?" Tucker adds. Sam elbows him.
"I-I think so Sam. Dress?" Danny says, voice unsteady.
He looks himself over dazedly, blinks at his cutesy-gothic attire, shakes his head a couple times, then looks again.
"DRESS?!" He suddenly cries in alarm, his face flushed... Green?
"That's what gets you worried right now?" Sam asks incredulously, "Not that you just opened a portal to the ghost zone on top of yourself??"
"Uhm... Yes." Danny and Tucker respond in unison.
"Hopeless." Sam sighs.
"Well anyway, what should we do now?" Tucker asks Sam.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, we can't just leave him like this; he's glowing! In a sparkly dress!"
"Actually, I kinda like the dress." Danny mumbles.
"You know," Sam thinks out loud, "This is just like that one anime. Carpenter Sun?"
"Ohh yeah!" Tucker's face lights up with realization. "Danny, you're like a magical girl!"
“A magical what?!?”
“A magical girl!” Danny’s friends respond in unison.
“It’s a genre of show-” Sam starts to explain, only to be interrupted by a loud “Crash!” from the entrance of the basement..
“Oh Danno~!” Danny’s father bellows merrily as he bounces down the stairs.
“Crap. What do we do? Sam? Tucker?” Danny looks between the two in panic.
Too soon, his father reaches them.
“So, what’re you kids up to? Danny-boy showing off the family business- Er, Danny? Why are you wearing a dress?”
“Be-Because I’m a girl?” Danny stutters out.
Mr. Fenton gasps.
“Egads, this whole time?!?” He rushes quickly back to the stairs, talking as he goes. “Jazzypants was right; I have been missing out on important details of my kids’ lives! I better tell Maddy and crack open those parenting books, fix paperwork…”
He pauses shortly at the top step, turning back to the trio.
“Don’t worry, Dan- Er, Daughter! I’ve got everything under control.” He poses confidently.
“Er, thanks Dad.” Danny calls back.
Another crash, and Mr. Fenton is gone. Somehow having completely missed Danny’s snow white hair and glowing green eyes in his fervor…
“Soo…” Tucker breaks the following awkward silence. “What now? Are you like, actually a girl, dude?”
“Tucker!” Sam reprimands.
Danny stares down at the floor, blushing brightly. “I don’t know. Maybe? This whole thing kinda snowballed out of control.”
“Well,” Sam determines, “Whoever and whatever you are, you’ll always be our friend. Right Tucker?”
“Right.” Tucker grins.
The two have to head home for the night and leave with reassuring pats to Danny’s shoulders. Danny dodges his family and heads straight to bed.
The following morning Danny wakes dress-and-glowstick free, to the sound of a small voice calling from above.
Danny cracks open their eyes to find…
A little green floating blob, with its own eyes staring right back.
“Agh!” Danny shouts in surprise.
“Agh!” The blob shouts in reply.
The two continue staring, and then-
“Ahem! Er, um, I'm glad to have your attention.” The blob mimes straightening a necktie.
“You can talk?!” Danny splutters in shock.
“Yes, well. I do have a mouth, don't I?”
“Uhm-”
“Nevermind.” The ghost continues. “I, my new companion, am Blobby! The blob ghost. I have been sent from the Ghost Zone to be your new familiar!” If the ghost had a chest, it would be puffing up proudly. Danny could tell.
“Familiar? Ghost Zone? Blobby?!? - Wait, no, the name makes sense… But what's going on here?” Danny's head was spinning.
“You, my friend, have been selected to be - wait for it - an all new, super cool, Ghostly Magical Girl!” The little ghost zooms around the room in excitement.
“You get to have neat powers, a frilly black dress, a fancy transformation sequence, and, best of all, the pleasure of my company! All to protect Amity from the crazy ghosts that will no doubt invade your town now that the portal’s been opened. You’re welcome!” Blobby smiles brightly.
“But I don't want to be a magical girl.” Danny argues frustratedly.
Blobby stares seriously, deep into Danny’s eyes.
“Are you sure about that?”
Danny raises a hand to argue further, then stops herself.
Blobby nods with satisfaction.
“But wait, what did you mean by ‘ghostly’?”
“By 'ghostly', I mean ghostly! You’re now half ghost. You can fly, turn invisible, walk through walls, who knows where your limits lie!”
“Ugh, my parents are gonna kill me!” Danny groans.
“Ah, ah, ah~” Blobby chirps, “Half-kill you!”
Danny decides to save that existential crisis for later, and instead begins getting up for the day.
Blobby fades out with a simple wave.
-
It's not that being a magical girl doesn't sound cool to Danny, it does. Dresses and superpowers seem pretty great, actually. But everything happened so quickly, and are magical girls allowed to be astronauts?
What if this stops her from going to space?!
Plus there's the whole ‘being half-dead’ thing. She's just going to avoid acknowledging that from now on, she thinks.
With worries floating through her head, Danny gets dressed and wanders down the stairs - only for Jasmine to intercept her on the landing.
“So. A girl, huh?”
“Yep.”
“Not into boys?”
“Nope.”
“Not even a little bit?” She tries.
“Nope.”
“Darn. Could've sworn.”
Danny rolls her eyes and carries on down the steps.
After a short duel with her breakfast and an awkward conversation with her trying-wayy-too-hard parents, Danny heads to Nasty Burger to meet up with her friends.
“...So?” Tucker says.
“Well…?” Sam adds.
The two flick their eyes over Danny questioningly until finally, she breaks.
“Alright, yes, I'm a magical girl! You guys were right.” Danny throws her hands up in defeat.
“I knew it!” Sam shouts happily.
“Congrats dude!” Tucker grins.
“Thanks, I guess, but there's more to it than that.”
The ghostly-girl goes on to explain her morning conversation with Blobby and her worries about her newly minted powers.
As she gets more and more worked up, she begins to sparkle and float up from her seat.
Her friends go wide-eyed and quickly pull her back down.
“It's alright Danny; things’ll work out!” Sam assures.
Danny goes to argue, only for Tucker to cut in with:
“Yeah, Danica, you seriously need to chill.”
“Danica!?!” Danny cries in outrage.
“Yeah, you know. Thought you might wanna give some new names a try. Darlene?” Tucker continues arily.
“Tucker-” Danny growls.
“Daphne?” Sam idly suggests.
“I know what you’re doing-”
“Delilah? Darcy?” Tucker posits.
“That's it!”
Danny jumps from her seat and chases the two wildly out of the restaurant; Sam and Tucker grinning madly all the while. The whole trio quickly bursts into laughter once they make it outside, and soon collapse in a nearby park together gasping for air.
Only, Danny’s exhales are a bit more misty than the weather calls for…
Blobby appears suddenly before them, an urgent look on his face. The trio hastily return to their feet.
“So sorry to interrupt, but Danny? Do you remember that thing I briefly mentioned-”
A scream echoes from the other side of the park.
“-About ghostly invaders?” Blobby fidgets nervously.
“Er, yeah?”
A trashcan goes flying over the group’s heads.
“We’re gonna need you to transform like, now, dude.” Tucker says.
“Right. How do I do that?” Danny asks, looking back toward Blobby.
A group of panicked picnickers scramble past the four, not even noticing the floating familiar.
The ghost wiggles anxiously in the air. “Simply have your friends cover for you, think magical ghost thoughts, and say a cool catchphrase.”
“Guys?”
“Right!”
Sam and Tucker huddle Danny up against a nearby wall.
“Alright, by the power of graysku-!”
“Nope.”
“In the name of the moon, I will-!”
“Nu-uh.”
“Er, I'm going ghost?” Danny tries.
“That works.”
“I'm going ghost!”
Vibrant green light erupts around Danny as she suddenly floats off the ground. Her colors turn to negatives in a bright sweep of light, and with a twirl her gothic dress appears.
Her transformation finishes just in time. In the sky, flying towards them with flames in her hands, a screeching ghost woman makes her appearance.
Sam and Tucker flee with a short “Good luck!” Leaving Danny to narrowly dodge the incoming fireballs on her own.
“Blobby? What am I supposed to do now?!”
“Try jumping and punching.”
“Gee, thanks!”
Danny does, in fact, try jumping and punching. And kicking. And a whole lot of flailing around in general, really.
Results? Mixed.
But the attempts mostly end with her bruised and the evil ghost lady cackling madly.
“Alright, this clearly isn't working. Any other ideas?”
“Yeah!” Blobby shouts, “Try blasting her.”
“How?” A singed Danny urges.
“Imagine your hand is a gun!”
Danny sighs deeply, dodges another ball of flame, resigns herself to what she's about to do, then lines up her aim and-
-Huh. Apparently finger guns can be deadly.
The blast is excessive, spreading shockwaves far through the surrounding area. Impact comes with an amazing burst of blinding bright light and an echoing “I’ll get you~!!”
When the dust finally settles, the day is clear. The park is a wreck. The ghost lady, Blobby, and the dress are all gone. Sam and Tucker peak out from behind a nearby tree.
Danny catches her breath and collapses back onto the ground. Sam and Tucker join her.
“Huh. Maybe this ‘magical girl' thing isn't so bad after all.” She decides. “That was kind of fun.”

Freyja flinched at the sharp cry as the monitor on her nightstand crackled to life following a loud boom of thunder. She stayed still momentarily, waiting to see if Joan would lull herself back to sleep as she patted Arthur’s back.
After a brief break, assumingly where Joanie allowed herself to take a breath, the wailing presumed.
Simon’s hand trailed up her thigh, his thumb dragging across her hip. He was awake, as always during nighttime feedings, but had been laying down while she fed and burped their son. “Do you want me to get her?” he asked, leaning into her shoulder and nuzzling her neck now that he had pushed himself up.
She smiled softly at the gentle kisses against her throat, pressing into them. “No, I’ll handle it. Take Artie?”
“I’ll finish with ‘im downstairs.” Simon shifted Art from her lap, laying the baby, stomach down, across his forearm with his head up toward his elbow. His feet landed on either side of his big hand, engulfing one of his chunky little thighs. “Alright, pup, time for a little father-son bonding,” he whispered, and his footsteps disappeared out of the room and down to the kitchen.
Freyja followed shortly after, her slippers scuffing as she barely picked up her tired feet. Joanie’s nursery was right next to theirs, making the walk short. When the door creaked open at her presence, the toddler’s sobbing softened but continued as she reached over the wall of her crib, little fingers making grabby hands in Frey’s direction.
“Mumma!”
“Hi baby,” she whispered, smiling softly as she approached the bed. “What happened? Did the thunder wake you up?”
She carefully drew her fingers through the baby’s delicate curls, taking care to detangle any knots she found. Frey had noticed that her once tight ringlets were losing their body, and starting to melt into loose waves. She had a sneaking suspicion that their daughter’s hair would eventually forgo all of its texture and end up pin-straight. At least then, it would be more manageable.
Joan jerked her head away with a whine, pouty lip jutting out as she bounced with her knees. The frustrated display and the look on her chubby little face would’ve been funny if Freyja weren’t so tired. She pointed outside of her bed, “Gaz frug.”
Gazzy was Joan’s beloved stuffed frog, clad with a baseball cap with a Union Jack patch on the front. One could take a wild guess at who Gazzy the frog came from. And there he was, just next to Freyja’s feet. She bent down with a soft hum, plucking her lovie off the floor. “You kicked Gazzy out! What happened?” she asked, bopping the toddler with it.
Even with her friend returned, Joanie pouted again and held her arms up, making grabby fingers with her free hand. “Up, Mumma,” she whimpered, her big brown eyes pleading.
Not very eager to deny a request at three o’clock in the morning, Freyja grabbed her soft felt blanket (courtesy of Mrs. MacTavish) from the bottom of her crib and draped it around her daughter. Joan automatically wrapped her arms around her mum’s neck as she lifted the baby to her chest, one arm under her and the other hand guiding her head to her shoulder.
Her hair still smelt like her baby shampoo from her bedtime bath. Frey inhaled the scent, placing gentle kisses against her baby’s temple at the same time. Neither she nor Simon had a tendency to get annoyed with their babies waking up throughout the night. Freyja was thrilled every instance she was able to comfort her children. She always told herself that every time Joan or Artie cried for them was a reminder of how loved and needed they were.
And if that meant getting up at three o’clock in the morning just to hold her daughter, then so be it.
“I love you, baby.”
“I lub you, Mumma.”

The Daughter's Return: Part 3
Chapter 4: Doctor's Visit
Start From Beginning | Next Chapter | Table of Contents | Read on AO3
Characters: female reader x Portgas D. Ace Word Count: 2.2k
As soon as the doors to the clinic were open, Ace was dragging you inside. He even wore a shirt without you having to remind you. He was that desperate to get you in.
You couldn’t blame him. Neither of you had gotten much sleep. When you finally managed to doze off, you were haunted by horrific dreams. It was almost better to be awake and sleep deprived. But when you were awake, you were also nauseous. Both states of being were about equally as miserable.
Ace hadn’t slept well either. You knew he was anxious to be on an island. He wanted to be out at sea, chasing down Teach. And you couldn’t blame him. Justice had to be dealt and you were keeping him tied down, waiting for the clinic to open their doors.
The doctor took you quickly, though they made Ace wait in the lobby. It made you nervous to be separated from him, but it would be easier to talk about your actual concerns this way.
You gave a false name and age to the worker, not wanting your records to be found by anyone. Then they took your weight and blood pressure, which they noted was a bit high. That would be reason for concern, if you weren’t in the process of tracking down your uncle’s killer.
“My name is Ali,” the young nurse said. “What brings you in today.?”
“Quite frankly,” you tried to swallow the lump in your throat. “I think I’m pregnant.”
“Oh!” Ali said, her eyes widening in shock.
“The guy out in the lobby doesn’t know yet. I just wanted to get a test to be certain before I told him.”
“Of course.” Ali nodded and began writing some information down on her sheet. “I’ll order some labs for you, and take some blood. Should I bring him back or leave him out there?”
You sighed in relief. This girl really was a godsend. She knew exactly what you needed.
“Can you bring him back?” you asked. “That would be great.”
She went and gathered Ace, who you referred to as Axel in front of the staff, and then began to prepare for a blood sample. As she tried to take your blood, you realized you had forgotten to give her very important information.
“Oh!” You pulled away from the incoming needle, startling the nurse. “I’m sorry, I just forgot to tell you- I have a devil fruit power. Logia type.”
“Oh dear,” Ali said, quickly pulling away her needle. “I totally forgot to ask you that question as a part of the screening. Here-” she handed you a bracelet that had green stone and an adjustable leather cord. “If you’ll just put that on, we can get started.”
When you put it on, you hardly felt different. You felt a little more solid than you usually did, but that was about it.
“What is this?” you asked, examining the bracelet around your wrist.
“Sea prism,” the nurse said. You felt Ace stiffen beside you. Sea prism usually meant bad things for pirates, but you trusted this woman.
“It’s an extremely weakened version of it, so it just negates your abilities without physically weakening you. You’ll need it if-” she paused, her eyes flitting over to Ace. “Well, we can talk about the uses for it later.”
She easily stuck the needle in and drew out a few vials of blood, and then sent them off to the lab. “We’ll have results in about ten to twenty minutes. Just hang tight, okay?”
You gave her a tense smile. “Thanks.”
Ace looked pale and sick. You couldn’t blame him. Usually when people were this kind, it was a trap. Every bone in your body was telling you to flee. But you couldn’t run away this time. You had to wait for the results.
“Are you going to die?” Ace whispered. “I know I said you could go first, but I didn’t mean this soon.”
“I’m not going to die, Ace,” you said. “Let’s just wait for the results, okay?”
You didn’t have to wait long, thankfully. Ali had worked some kind of laboratory magic, and came back in less than ten minutes.
When the door opened, Ace’s hand interlaced in yours and he held onto it tightly, as if you were his only anchor for survival.
Ali gave you a big grin as she shut the door, looking at the two of you with pure joy on her face. “I believe some congratulations are in order!”
“Congratulations?” Ace asked, confusion written all over his face.
You wanted to puke. You were right. And now Ace was about to find out.
“All of the bloodwork came back normal,” Ali confirmed. “Except for the pregnancy test. That came back positive.”
You gripped Ace’s hand tighter than you thought possible, but Ace was still processing her words.
“Pregnancy test?” He looked at you, his eyes wide with fear. “You’re pregnant?”
“It looks like she’s about done with her first trimester!” Ali squeaked, her excitement palpable in the room. You wished you could feel the same.
“Ali-” you cleared your throat, trying to maintain your composure. “Can we have a minute?”
“Oh!” Ali’s face flushed with pink. “Of course. Let me give you some privacy to talk about this, and then we can go over everything you need to know.”
Ace was still staring at you, unbelieving and unaccepting. You flinched slightly as the door shut, waiting for Ace to say something. Anything.
“How long?” Ace demanded. “How long have you known?”
“Last night,” you admitted. “The no-moon made me realize.”
“We were so careful!”
You sighed. “The onsen.”
Ace’s eyes got wide. “Fuck,” he hissed. “I forgot about that.”
“I swear I didn’t know before last night,” you promised.
“I believe you,” Ace said. “You were too stubborn about that no-moon.”
You gave a nervous laugh that quickly died, leaving the room wrapped in an eerie silence.
“What do we do?” you whispered, tears filling your eyes. Now that it was real, it all felt so scary.
“What do you mean? We’re having a baby!” Ace laughed, a toothy smile emerging from his previously concerned face. “I thought you were dying, but this is great news in comparison!”
“But-” you paused to wipe away your tears. “You said you didn’t want kids.”
He put a hand atop your stomach, staring down at where your child was growing. “I changed my mind.”
“You changed your mind?”
“Yep.” He gave another soft smile, staring at your stomach with complete love and infatuation. “We’re gonna be better parents than even Pops. Think we can do that?”
You laughed, choking out a sob as well. “I thought you said pirates-”
He cut your words off with his lips; a kiss that was long and deep, and all of your doubt was instantly replaced with love.
He finally pulled away from your lips, pressing his forehead against yours. “We’ll figure it out, okay?”
You gave him a tearful smile and nodded in agreement. “Okay,” you whispered.
“I really thought you were going to die,” Ace whispered. “This is nothing compared to that.”
Ace couldn’t stop staring at your belly, that goofy grin still widespread across his face. He was still staring when Ali knocked on the door a few minutes later, and came back in.
“How are we feeling?” she asked, her eyes glancing between you and Ace.
“Great!” Ace was cheerful and enthusiastic as he spoke to Ali, but he kept his hand protectively over you.
“Awesome!” Ali said, turning back to you. “There’s a lot of information we need to go over, but the most important is that bracelet. It’s yours now. Keep it on unless you need to use your devil fruit powers.”
“Wait, what? Why?” you asked, looking at the sea prism bracelet.
“Logia users are at the highest risk of a failed pregnancy. Your body goes through extreme changes and isn’t even always solid sometimes. You may be able to handle those changes like it’s nothing, but a baby can’t.
“We recommend you keep your ability usage down to around 15 minutes over an hour span between months two through four. I’m guessing your body has been having some weird reactions over the past few weeks? The pregnancy would be the reason for it. Keeping that bracelet on should help negate those adverse effects, as well as clear up any major nausea and major sickness you’ve been having.”
“Wow,” you whispered. “I had no idea. That makes so much sense.”
“Between months five and nine,” Ali continued on, handing Ace a pamphlet. “We recommend no ability usage at all unless absolutely imperative circumstances. It’s very dangerous to the baby for the mother to use powers during that time. That bracelet will be your absolute best friend over the next few months. I hope you like green!”
You gave a light laugh as you continued to stare at the bracelet, but you could feel dread bubbling up inside you. If you couldn’t use your powers, you weren’t sure how much help you would be at any time over the next few months, for Ace or for your family.
“I’m sure you’re worried about losing the bracelet,” Ali said, misunderstanding your unease. “We’ll give you a bag with two more in it, just in case one breaks or gets lost. And you can always come back to this clinic or any clinic on the Grand Line, most of them have a form of this in stock.”
“What about the baby?” Ace asked. “You said months two through four she should only be using her devil fruit powers 15 minutes an hour, but we’re on month three. Is there anything to be worried about?”
“We’ll do a routine checkup,” Ali said, turning to look at you. “But months two through four are more for the mother's sake. Preparing you to not be reliant on your powers as well as keeping the sickness at bay.”
You gave a nod, but your hand reached out to find Ace’s again. This was too much information. There was no way you would remember it all. He gripped your hand reassuringly, giving you an encouraging squeeze every now and then as Ali rambled through more specific deatils.
She went over hundreds of other pieces of information, each thing coming with its own pamphlet or handout. Where to get checkups, how to get proper nutrition, things to look out for and things that were completely normal. It was overwhelming, and by the end of it, your head was spinning.
The two of you walked out of the clinic, hands full of vitamins, appointment schedules, and the results of a healthy baby. It felt like an eternity ago that Thatch had died, and you wanted to cry remembering he was gone. How had you already forgotten so quickly?
As you and Ace walked back to the boat, you passed a board full of bounty posters.
“Hey!” Ace called you back to the board. “Our bounties went up.”
You scowled. “We didn’t even do anything!”
He gave you a wicked grin. “They probably assumed the masterminds were involved in the embargo Thatch did the other week.”
His face fell at the mention of his fellow commander. It was clear that he had forgotten too. You walked back to the board, trying not to think about it too hard. Now was not the time for sadness. It was time for revenge.
“What are they now?” You scanned the board, looking for your bounty poster. Both you and Ace had gotten updated photos after the Marine Ball incident, and it took a second to find them.
“You’re at 550 million!?” you whispered, thoroughly impressed. Six months ago he hadn’t even been at a million, and now he was over halfway to a billion.
“And you’re 790 million,” Ace smirked, nudging you playfully. “Look at you go.”
You rolled your eyes. “The Navy only sees Newgate.”
Ace pulled down your poster and shoved it in his pocket, and he stared at the board again, his mouth hanging wide open.
“What?” you asked, looking where your poster had been.
A straw hat. Not just any straw hat. Uncle Red’s old straw hat. The one he had promised to you years and years ago.
“Hey!” you shouted. “I know that hat!”
“You know that hat?” Ace yelled back, his enthusiasm growing. “I know that kid! That’s Luffy!”
“Luffy?!” You looked back at the poster. Monkey D. Luffy. Ace’s little brother.
You looked at him. “You’re telling me that your little brother stole my hat? Your family just keeps stealing all the stuff that was promised to me!”
He laughed at your joke, and you found yourself laughing along too. It had been a long time since you had thought about your promised position in a bitter way, and an even longer time since you had thought about that hat.
“We should go see him,” Ace offered wistfully. “I was browsing the papers while you were with the nurse. Sounds like Teach was heading back to Paradise to form a crew.”
“Man, it’s been forever since I’ve been to Paradise.” You pulled down Luffy’s bounty poster, examining it as you walked. “You know Luffy already has a higher bounty than you did a few months ago, right?”
Ace groaned and shook his head. “The Navy is different with rookies now than they used to be. They don’t underestimate them anymore.”
“Or maybe he’s just stronger,” you said, sending him a cheesy grin as he rolled his eyes.
“Come on.” He snatched Luffy’s poster out of your hand, but gingerly folded it up and placed it in his pocket. “We’ve got a pirate to find.”

[Seiren • Starsilver Sparrow]
“Eula, how would you feel if I suddenly get amnesia, hm? You know like Vetur finally having enough of me and shoving me off the balcony—" “Sister, Sir Meier would have a stroke if he were listening to our conversation,” Eula briskly piped in, lowering her chipped teacup with a delicate clink before shooting an eagle-like glare at her older sister. “However, more importantly why would you suggest such wretched events? Is Vetur being bothersome, once again? I thought he had become responsible and stopped after I had made him slip on his own clothes—MMF.” The older sister groaned, plucking another biscuit from the tray and warningly held it up to the younger’s girl’s indignant glower as she menacingly munched.
“It’s only hypothetical, you funny little lemon. I’ll get a mirror - you’re all blown up like an angry pufferfish.” She tapped the biscuit against Eula’s scrunched up nose and slowly pushed it into her mouth. “Keep this up and you’ll only get porridge for the next week, you hear me?” - - -
Pain rattled through her gritted teeth as a gloved fist yanked her up by her knotted hair. Smouldering eyes of glowing coal glowered down resentfully at her behind a cracked mask, with the distant groaning curses of fallen Fatui heard in the background as they attempted to crawl out from pieces of rubble and jutting stalagmites of golden creedite.
“What the hell is this?”
She smirked, blood smudged across her battered lips. Past the shattered frame of the tavern’s window, the hilt of the scythe glinted in the flickering broken light and Adrik’s hand curled over its blade in a last futile attempt.
How bloody damn hilarious.
“Hey! What are you gawking at?” The agent jerked onto her hair, his fire-water tinged breath spewing against her face, “Damn it, are you deaf?! Listen to me, you knight fool!!”
Blunt spikes dug into her cheek as a gauntlet slammed against her face. She spat out a hoarse curse, blood spattering from her lips and she venomously fixed a glare at the bloodless grin. Knees immediately slammed to the rocky ground, as the agent dropped her to the ground. Gloved fingers reached to peel away the draped bloodied locks of hair from her face, crooked teeth stretched.
“Now, I can see my punching bag a bit more clearly.” He leered, flicking a strand of copper with deep chuckle rumbling from his throat, “Oh! Look at this blood - So young and vibrant!”
Acrid burning crawled up her throat, eyes dilated in trembling rage. She smacked away the lingering touches, letting wisps of hair tear out from her bloodied hairline.
“Get ya damn mitts out of my hair.” she hissed out, defiance sharply flashing across her glower, “And just get this over and done with, you bastard.” The agent coughed out a surprised laugh, flexing the stained brass reinforcers with eager clicks. He stepped back as he pulled the flask from his jacket and popped its lid off, swinging its contents down his mouth. He wound in his fingers into an anticipating fist while he drew it back. Bracing for the impact, she closed her eyes as she tightly held her vision in her bleeding hand.
“I’d rather die remembering the lifetime we spent together, than not recognise your face when I see you again.” - - - YIPPEEE finally was able to finish this phew. Anyways say hello to Seiren, my chaotic little limb-hogging treasure hoarder! She's one of my older guys, she's been in my brain since 2022! She's one of Rai's old friends and I can't wait to yap about her, about her wife and about her daughter, and also yap about the whole Aster's Oath. She's one of the characters who are highly important to the main storyline! (Yes I did look at the genshin treasure hoarders and went what if murderous lesbean. and yes that is how she was birthed) Ok lols I'll stop rambling, but please keep an eye out for her in future stuff! :D

What's a drawing gift you want for Christmas? :D
Well I do have a few that I want to see.
Like Pomni dressing up as a Lopunny. It was suppose to be an idea for Easter, but then I drew it again for Halloween and I ended up falling in love with the idea. I also want to see Jax go crazy with Pomni wearing her Lopunny costume. 😊🤭
Tumblr media
There’s also the FunnyBunny family. I want to see Jax and Pomni spending time with their daughter, Delilah (My OC). Whether it be her as a baby or as a child, as long as it’s wholesome.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, I want to see fan-art of Delilah and Shapey’s friendship. With either having fun, or causing trouble for their families.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that’s it. Feel free to draw any one of them for Christmas. I look forward to it! :D

A Day At The Park
its flufftober time! This year I came prepared hahaha! I'm twelves days ahead! I am determined to finish this time :D Anyway the first prompt was Lost Pet Meet Cute. You can read it on Ao3
“Lucy!”
“Hi Lucy!”
“It’s Lucy!”
The chorus of the small children at the park had Eddie Diaz gripping his son’s crutches tightly and his eyes widening. He could only stare, mouth agape as a beautiful, young looking Golden Retriever came trotting into the playground. The dog gave a happy sounding bark, tongue lolling out of its mouth as it seemingly greeted all the children with a sniff and a wag of their tail. They each gave the dog (Lucy, Eddie was assuming since that what the children were calling her) a pat, laughing when her tail brushed them.
Eddie tensed as the dog grew closer to his son, Christopher. He drew in a breath when Lucy stopped at Chris, giving him a curious sniff. Her tail seemed to wag harder, and she pressed her face softly into his stomach.
Chris gave a joyous laugh, reaching down to give the dog a pat.
“Lucy won’t hurt him.”
Eddie glanced away from his son and looked to one of the other parents who was standing at the edge of the playground. She gave him a warm smile, her blonde hair almost glowing in the warm sun.
“The dog. She’s a regular at this park and the kids love her,” the woman continued. “And her owner,” her smile turned into a little smirk. “Is also lovely and has trained her really well. She plays with the kids all the time.”
At her words, Eddie relaxed slightly. “That’s good to hear.”
“I’m Millie,” the parent introduced. “And that’s my daughter Kate.” She pointed to a little blonde girl who hair was in pigtails. “Have you just moved to the area? We haven’t seen you before.”
“Yes. Eddie Diaz and that’s my son Christopher,” Eddie said, pointing out Chris who was currently shuffling along beside the dog towards the slides. He was holding on to Lucy as they walked slowly, the dog seemingly unbothered that Chris was using her as a crutch. “We just moved to L.A.”
“Welcome! It’s nice to meet you,” Milli smiled. She glanced at the other parents, angling her body so she could point them out. “That’s Mark and Julie and then there is Hannah, Tamara, and Blake. And there’s….” She looked around, a small frown pulling at her features. “Huh, I don’t see Lucy’s owner.” She turned back to the group of parents. “Mark!”
The only other dad turned at Millie’s shout, lifting a hand to wave. “Hey Millie!”
“Have you seen Buck?” Millie asked.
Mark glanced around the park and frowned. “No. I haven’t seen him.” He looked to the dog and let out a laugh. “Looks like Lucy snuck out again.”
Millie sighed, shaking her head fondly. She turned back to Eddie and must have seen the confusion on his face. “Lucy loves the park. She sometimes sneaks out and comes here. Buck will notice soon enough. We keep an eye on her when she does this.”
“You know her well?” Eddie asked, his curiosity about the dog and this ‘Buck’ only growing.
“Her and Buck have been coming to this park for a nearly six months now,” Millie answered. “We were a little worried at first, but she looks out for the kids and even stopped my Kate from falling off one time.”
Eddie focused on the playground, finding Chris carefully shuffling up the ramp to the slide. Lucy was still by his side, climbing up beside him. He felt himself smiling proudly when Chris reached the top of the ramp and carefully moved to the slide. Chris plopped himself down at the top of the slide and looked up, finding Eddie’s gaze.
The smile Chris gave had all the tension leaving Eddie’s body and when Chris waved, Eddie gave no hesitation in waving back. He gave Millie a quick apologetic smile before he jogged to the bottom of the slide.
“Ready, mijo?” Eddie asked.
“Ready!” Chris nodded.
“Okay! Go!”
Chris pushed himself down the slide and Eddie beamed at the laughter that followed. Chris reached the bottom of the slide and Eddie caught him before he could go flying off the bottom. He grinned when Chris laughed at being lifted and he settled him back on the ground, away from the bottom of the slide.
“Want to go again?” Eddie asked.
“Yeah!” Chris cheered.
Before either could move there was ringing laughter from all the children and Eddie watched as Lucy went sliding down the slide, ear flapping in the breeze as she zoomed down the slide. She jumped off the end, giving a happy bark and a little twirl that had all the kids laughing.
Eddie surprised himself by the laughter that spilled out of him.
Lucy came trotting up to Chris, giving him a little bop with her nose, as if she was saying ‘Come on! Let’s go!’
Eddie made sure Chris was stable before he watched the two of them move slowly back towards the ramp to the slide. He turned to look back at Millie who was watching him with a knowing smile.
“I told you,” She called out to him. “She loves the park.”
Eddie laughed again, shaking his head. He stayed where he was, waiting for the other children to have their turn before it was Chris’s again. He had just caught Chris as the bottom again when a new voice joined the park.
“LUCY!”
Both Eddie and Chris looked up at the shout and Eddie could feel his eyes widened as a man came jogging over to him. Eddie felt his mouth go a little dry as he took in the man as he came to the bottom of the slide. The jeans he wore only accented the long legs he had and the polo shirt he wore was stretched tightly over his chest, the sleeves clinging to his biceps. There was an adorable splotch of pink above his eye and his blonde hair was curling in a way that made Eddie think he had been running his hands through it.
On the top of the slide, Lucy let out a whine.
“How many time have I told you to stop sneaking out to the park?”
Eddie choked on his laughter while Chris giggled in his arms.
The man turned to them, eyes going a little wide and a pink blush spread across his cheeks. Eddie assumed that this must be Buck.
Lucy barked, drawing everyone attention back to her.
“Come on, Lucy. Time to go,” Buck ordered.
Lucy stomped her paws twice and let out a little whine.
“Lucy! Down. Come on,” Buck tried again.
Lucy gave a shake and stomped her paws again, giving half a bark, half a wine. Her tail wagged back and forth, and Eddie got the distinct impression that she was throwing a tantrum.
Eddie sniggered, Chris wiggling in his arms as he giggled harder.
Buck’s face went pinker as he glanced at Eddie and Chris again. Buck turned back to Lucy, a whine in his tone. “Lucy! Come on, you’re embarrassing me.”
Lucy plopped down at the top of the slide and stared at Buck.
Buck threw his hands up. “Fine! Five for minuets.”
Lucy barked in triumphant and then went sliding down the slide again. She bounded off when she reached the bottom, practically dancing over to Buck where she licked his fingers before she went to Eddie. She licked at Chris leg’s, making him laugh, and gave Eddie and expectant look.
Eddie rolled his eyes and carefully lowered Chris to the ground. “You want to go again, mijo?”
“Yeah! Come on, Lucy!” Chris cheered, reaching out to balance himself on Lucy. And the two of them were shuffling back towards the ramp.
Eddie shifted his attention to the man beside him and grinned. “You must be Buck.”
Buck gave him a sheepish smile. “That would be me.”
Eddie laughed and held out his hand. “Eddie Diaz. That’s my son, Chris, who is now you’re dogs best friend.”
“Nice to meet you!” Buck grinned, shaking Eddie’s hand.
Eddie really hoped the heat under his cheeks wasn’t noticeable and or the way Buck’s touch felt electric in his.
“And sorry about Lucy,” Buck continued, dropping Eddie’s hand. He lifted it to the back of his neck, giving it a rub. “She’s harmless, I promise.”
“I was assured,” Eddie chuckled. “Sounds like you two are a regular here.”
“As much as we can,” Buck grinned. “I’m a firefighter with the LAFD so I work odd hours, so I try to take Lucy out as much as I can on my day off.”
“You’re a firefighter?” Eddie asked. He mentally grinned as Buck puffed out his chest proudly, another smile lighting up his face.
“Yeah. I’m with Station 118.”
“I’m still at the academy,” Eddie offered.
Buck bumped his shoulder against Eddie’s. “That’s awesome! Who’s your instructor?”
“Adams.”
Buck nodded. “Yeah, he’s good. Really knows his stuff.”
Eddie nodded.
Buck looked at Eddie, offering him a shy smile that shouldn’t have been as adorable as it was. The sight made Eddie’s heart flutter and he swallowed down the embarrassing noise that threatened to escape him.
“If you want, I, uh, could go over some things with you,” Buck offered. “I could give you and Chris a tour of my station. You know, show you what it will be like when you leave the academy.”
“That would be amazing,” Eddie said, hoping his cheeks weren’t as flushed as Buck’s. “Thank you.”
Buck brightened considerably.
“Dad!”
Eddie snapped his attention to the slide where Chris was waiting at the top. Eddie grinned as Chris made his way down the slide and moved to catch him at the bottom. He swooped Chris back into his arm, a warmth settling in his chest and spreading all the way down his stomach at his son’s joy.
Lucy came sliding next, bounding off the end like she had done previously but this time she ran to Buck, doing a twirl. Eddie watched as Buck crouched down, giving Lucy a big pat.
“Good girl! Who’s my good girl! You love the slide, hey!” Buck cooed to his dog. At the same time, Buck attached the leash to Lucy’s collar before he was standing up tall once more.
Eddie smothered his laughter when Lucy released that she was attached to the leash. Her ears dropped and her tail dropped.
“Hey,” Buck said. “Don’t give me that look.”
Lucy gave a whine.
Chris laughed. “She doesn’t want to go home!”
“You right, Superman,” Buck laughed. “She would stay here all day if she could.”
Lucy chose that moment to drop down and roll on to her back. She gave a lazy, doggy grin at them, her tail swishing back and forth.
“Hey! No, come on,” Buck whined. “That’s not fair!”
Lucy gave no indication that she heard, or cared, about Buck new predicament.
Buck narrowed his eyes and huffed. “Fine. Have it your way.”
Eddie’s breath hitched as Buck scooped the upside-down dog into his arms and lifted her up high so that she was now in a bridal carry. The muscles in Buck’s arms flexed as he hefted Lucy more securely into his arms and he grinned at Eddie.  It shouldn’t have been as hot as it was, but Eddie was feeling a little flustered at the sight.
Chris laughed as Lucy licked at Buck’s chin.
“Yeah, yeah,” Buck grinned at Lucy. “I love you too. Come on, say goodbye to your best friend.”
“Bye Lucy!” Chris cried, reaching out to give Lucy’s head a pat.
“Hey, uh, do you guys want to maybe meet back here tomorrow?” Buck asked, looking at Eddie with a hopeful smile.
“Sure,” Eddie said, managing to unstick his tongue from the roof of his mouth. “Sounds good. Maybe around half past ten?”
“We’ll be here,” Buck said. “Nice to meet you both.”
“Bye!” Chris chirped.
With one last grin, Buck spun and started carrying Lucy out of the park. Eddie watched him go, his heart beating a little faster at the sight.
“Come on,” Eddie said, hefting Chris higher on his hip when Buck and Lucy were out of sight. “Let’s get you home too.”
“I really like it here,” Chris said as Eddie carried him out of the park and away from the knowing smirk on Millie’s lips.
“Me too,” Eddie said, pressing a kiss to Chris cheek. “I think we are going to love it here.”

do you have any pre-fallenclan clangen art? or warrior cats in general
i do actually! i have some various clangen art that i drew just for myself/friends, and a couple drawings of jayfeather that i made for an au. here are my favs :D (under the cut because i realized there's actually a lot)
also realized I put all these drawings in reverse chronological order to me drawing them. so the stuff on top looks the most like what my art style is like now, and it slowly devolves lol
