Four times I bumped into you and the one time I fell
There is no such thing as right time, wrong place. Once the timing is right, the world will spin on its axis to bring two souls together.
fluff, no warnings

Running late to the airport was an absolute no go for you - well, that was until you met Lando, with whom you somehow lost all the travel anxiety. But this was good twelve years before you'd officially meet. While neither of you were aware, it was him who quite literally crashed into you, as he was rushing to catch a flight he was characteristically late for.
This was your first long trip alone, so to say you were anxious would be an understatement. Airports were designed to be understood quite easily, but there you were, unsure where you were suppose to go after the security check. With head turned up to all those signs, you tried to make out where in hell did this place wanted you to go to. Just like a thunder, unexpected and attention-grabbing, Lando bumped into you from behind, full force. He wasn't expecting someone to be just standing there in the middle of the busy pathway.
"Shit," he cussed, already being late to his gate. He quickly checked whether you were ok, mad at you for standing there like a post and a bit angry with himself, for being unable to follow a normal timetable. Your left shoulder received quite a big blow, so after your squirted with pain, you looked at your left arm, before you sought the culprit. When your eyes met, you forgot about all of the pain. In front of you stood an absolutely gorgeous boy. He must have been around your age, boyish looks lacing his face. That sort of cheeky innocence late teenagers have. He was taken back, just like you were, and immediately forgot why he was angry in the first place. Both of you were shy as could be in that moment. The only thing he managed to get out of himself was a little sorry. You smiled and then looked down at your feet. Not knowing what to do, he just uttered another quick apology and set on to continue with his journey to the gate.
"Wait, sorry," you managed to get out of yourself, just as he was about to disappear into the distance. He stopped and turned.
"Yes?" he answered, sheepishly.
You swallowed and tried to speak without getting your tongue twisted. "Can you please show me which way I'm suppose to go?"
You had a true desperate look on you, one that a boy raised like him could never resist. A shot of guilt went though him once he saw you holding your shoulder, probably still bit in pain.
"Sure," he said and proceeded to look at your flight ticket. As he leaned over you, your heart stopped. His proximity was making you almost shiver. Strong perfume, or possibly deodorant given his age, hit your nose. But it wasn't like when other boys were wearing it in school. You wanted to soak yourself in it and drown. He told you some words, explaining where you're suppose to go, but you didn't get any of that. Full on panic from being attracted to him overtook your brain. You nodded, as if you'd understood, and looked him in the eyes again. Both of you held on longer than what would be considered appropriate.
"I gotta go," he muttered and made his exit once again. Didn't turn back, because just like you, he was panicking just a bit.
Once he left your eyesight, you looked at the board again, confused, perhaps more than you were before asking him for directions.
//
"Still nothing?" your friend asked, having no choice but becoming fully invested in your newest crush, guy you shared one lecture last semester. You checked your phone once again, but both of you knew what your answer would be.
"Nothing," you replied after not seeing his name on the list of people who watched your story on Instagram.
Funny, how you can go on an amazing backpacking trip with your bestie, live life to the fullest - and none of it matters if he doesn't give a fuck. In fact, it was infuriating. You were sitting nearby a lovely canal somewhere in Amsterdam, meeting new people every day, having the time of your life. All while checking your phone every five minutes.
Your bestie could tell you were more than annoyed. She herself found it pretty exhausting, because sometimes, it felt like this guy was on the trip with both of you.
"I gotta get him out of my head," you said finally after few minutes of silence.
"Yup. You do realize he is a loser, do you?" your friend said and you laughed because at that time, you just did not see where she was coming from. Years later, you'd be laughing about it.
"I do, yeah. I mean, fuck it, I'm in Amsterdam. This is so cool!" you said, trying to pump yourself up to some enthusiasm.
"That's more like it," your friend replied, more than ready to start talking about anything else than that guy. "Let's just, you know, look around and get inspired. We might find someone for you tonight!"
You laughed. "What, like on the street?"
She just shrugged her shoulders. "You never know..."
You observed the people walking on the other side of the canal. "What about that one?" you pointed to a guy smoking on a bridge, hoping he didn't see you.
"Could work...but there is better material around."
Few moments passed. "Uh, what about that one?" your friend pointed to nice looking guy, who was casually jogging around.
You tried to zoom in, not really sure what to make of him. "Yeah, maybe..."
And then, Lando decided to check his phone, while running, and immediately found himself on the ground, as he managed to miss a hole in the street.
Both of you people-watchers couldn't help but laugh out loud. He couldn't hear you and nobody else apart from didn't seem to notice his fall.
"Ok, maybe not that one," your friend jokes, not knowing she just marked off your future husband.
//
The immigration office. Dreaded place where no one is ever happy. It's also the one place where you can't send someone to just "do it for you". Lando would pay anything to be able to get out of this.
He was sat there for a good half an hour, even though he had a pre-booked appointment. He couldn't recall last time he was this bored. His recent success run had many perks, the best of them being the fact he could often jump lines and get many shortcuts. Not the immigration office. These people just don't care.
It stopped being important the moment you walked though the door and sat across from him, failing to pay any attention to your surroundings. The moment you were sat, you started frantically going through your papers, most likely worried you forgot half of the information these people wanted from you.
"First time?" Lando was not usually chatty with strangers unless they addressed him first, which had been happening a lot lately. But there was something about .you Something in the way you shuffled so nervously.
His voice was thick with British accent, which was usually the thing that made you swoon. When you first looked at him, it overcame you a bit. He was undeniably gorgeous. One of those a bit out of reach. God, he could be a model. Knowing this city, he probably was.
"Yes, first time. There was a mistake done at my embassy, so now I have to try to fix it so that I can come home."
He nodded and you wondered why a guy like that would even care to speak to you. "Home, where is that?" he asked, cheeky look burning holes into you.
You chuckled. He knew where to aim to make it count. "Funny question...I'm currently on crossroads. If I say yes to a job offer, it could pretty much be on a different continent." Lando sensed you were avoiding specific answers and found it smart actually, many creepy people everywhere.
"Well, good luck with your decision. I'm sure that what is meant to be will come to you in the right time."
"Thank you...So what do you call home?" you returned the question.
"Huh. Probably my car," he said, surprising himself in the same way you got. "Yeah, that'll be it."
A nervous laugh escaped your lips. "Are you like homeless or something?" Wave of awkwardness rushed through you, but left as soon as he chuckled at your question.
"No, not really. Just on the road a lot," he said and leaned back in a relaxed way.
"Interesting. Never thought that people on road have to deal with visa."
"More than you'd think."
His number was called in from the office shortly after that. You glanced at him a gave him a small smile. He debated for a moment whether or not he should ask for your number. In the end, he didn't. The interaction was too brief. He was on the move constantly and found everything a little too overwhelming. Hadn't learned yet how to deal with it all. Took him two weeks to stop beating himself over chickening out. But then again, it would be another eight years before he learned your name.
//
Flashing lights, body on body, light smoke that helped to cover the tracks and the latest electronic track to cut through it all. You were in Ibiza, on a bachelorette party for one of your friends. Truth be told, you were not keen on tagging along. You weren't exactly besties with the bride to be, more a friend of a friend. But your big break up was almost seven months ago and the fact you were counting only proved you were not doing well. In fact, it was absolute torture. A trip to Ibiza seemed like a decent distraction from the emptiness that haunted you back home.
You'd separated from the group, perhaps the shots were little stronger than what you were used to. In the middle of the packed dance floor, you found peace. People swaying back and forth, heavy air making sure you all stayed intoxicated. The world was spinning when a pair of hands found you. You could only wonder whether he was as drunk as you were or more. But at that moment, you didn't. Your body reacted to his arms holding you and it was nice to actually feel another person so closely. Perhaps that's what you came for to this island, to find the inner passion for other people again. You weren't searching for love. And of course, you hadn't found it. Because, just when you finally turned around to lock your lips with the handsome, toned guy, Lando had just walked past you, trying to push through the crowd. While he searched for his friends, you searched for the anything that random guy might have had left unspoken on the tip of his tongue.
The headache that followed was more bearable than the heartbreak that pained you before. It's probably for the best you hadn't found Lando that night. You were not ready, not for another three years.
//
It's been quite some time since you loved someone with the kind of intensity that makes dancing in the rain sound like the best idea ever. The kind of love that people write albums about. There was still a glimmer of hope, but with every failed situationship, the hope was harder to search for. Maybe it was just not meant to be - and truth be told, life was actually pretty good. You had great friends, fun job and late twenties were looking great on you. You lost yourself in your thoughts for longer than was probably socially acceptable when one is at a wedding so prestigious as this one was. How you got there was also such a random coincidence, but suddenly you found yourself around a celebrity wedding, where there could have been around five hundred people.
It was a lot to handle in one evening and if you were completely honest, you did feel a little out of place. To regain some peace of mind and avoid a panic attack, you snuck out into the depths of the garden adjacent to the venue.
You walked for minutes, peace and solitude uninterrupted. That was until he spoke to you "for the first time". Neither of you remembering your previous encounters.
"Look, I know this is gonna sound cheesy, but hear me out," said the voice of a person, who at that time had no idea they would go on a disturb your peace for the rest of your life. You turned around, bit surprised someone also made it this far away from the rest of the attendees.
Lando took a quick breath and spoke again. "This is a really good light you have on right now, can I take a quick photo of you?" he said and waved around with his analogue camera. You examined the guy standing in front of you. One would have a hard time looking for someone more handsome than him. He stood there, giving off rather impatient vibe.
"Photo of me?" you asked, not believing you heard him correctly.
"Yes, please. The light is perfect and it'll soon be gone."
He was right about one thing, the sunset was making the sky and the whole garden shimmer with tones of pink one rarely sees in real life. You locked eyes with this strange person and saw a demanding look, begging you to allow him to capture the moment.
"Okey," you said in a low, unconfident tone. He smiled and it was like he just had a shot of espresso, energy flew right through him. His arms shot up and he started looking for the perfect frame.
"Wait, I don't know what to do..." you protested, not being used to getting photographed. For Lando, the occurance of a camera was so common, he didn't even think about it. He found your hesistance refreshing. He quickly snapped a picture, hoping it would capture your unease. Then he looked up from his camera to you again.
"You're perfect like that, don't worry," he assured you and looked for another angle. He was quickly becoming obsessed with the way how the light made your hair shine and a shadow highlighted the contour of your face. There was something he saw in you that night, something he would spend years trying to get into a picture and never getting it fully, at least in his opinion.
Lando found his perfect angle, but by that time your face became stiff, showing you really were not used to modeling. Once again, he looked up from his camera to courage you.
He smiled at you and the two of you locked eyes for longer than strangers usually do. "I'd love to see your smile," he said, hoping he'd loosen you up.
You were beyond nervous. Whatever you were was far apart from normal heart rate.
"Well then you're gonna have to tell me a joke," you said, not knowing where it came from.
"Don't worry, we can talk about my love life after the sunset," he said jokingly and to surprise of anyone who might have overheard, you laughed.
From that moment on, history wrote itself pretty quickly.

No commentator on 7 October last year - myself included - would have predicted that the war would still be being fought with the utmost ferocity a year on. No one would have predicted a year ago that Israel would be fighting for longer than it did when it established its state in 1948. All wars Israel has fought since have been brief shows of absolute strength. [...]
Under Netanyahu’s right-wing government, the lives of the hostages were secondary to the aim of smashing Hamas. Had the hostages returned, Netanyahu could now be facing a long term in prison. But he has demonstrably failed to smash Hamas, hence the speed with which he has started a new war with Lebanon and Hezbollah. [...] Hamas re-emerges wherever Israeli troops are not. Plain clothes police officers emerge to settle disputes within a matter of hours.
At first, Israel tried to wipe out Hamas’s leadership. It has killed the first and second ranks of officials running the government, most of them in a massacre outside al-Shifa hospital.
But an insight into what is actually going on in Gaza was offered by Israel's latest announcement that it had killed three senior Hamas officials - Rawhi Mushtaha, the head of government and de facto prime minister; Sameh al-Siraj, who held the security portfolio on Hamas’s political bureau; and Sami Oudeh, commander of Hamas’s General Security Mechanism. The air strike happened three months ago, and no one had noticed their absence. This is because Hamas continued to function regardless of which leaders were alive or dead. [...]
Israel’s terror only begets more terror. The destruction of West Beirut in 1982 inspired Osama bin Laden’s attack on the Twin Towers in 2001. [...]
On 6 October, the Palestinian national cause was dead, if not buried. After more than 30 years of Oslo accords, Gaza was totally isolated. Its siege was permanent, and no one cared. Netanyahu claimed victory, in September 2023 waving a map at the UN in which the West Bank did not exist. There was only one item on the regional agenda and that was Saudi Arabia’s impending normalisation with Israel. [...]
Today, Hamas has changed the course of events, because the peaceful path to a viable Palestinian state was blocked. All talk of a peace process was a Potemkin-size mirage. Oslo not only failed to deliver a Palestinian state. It created the conditions for the Israeli state to expand and thrive as never before in the West Bank and Jerusalem. [...]
Regionally, the axis of resistance, which for much of the period since the Arab Spring, was a rhetorical device, has become a functioning military alliance. [...]
Palestine has returned to its rightful place, which is to occupy the key role in determining the stability of the region.
Israel’s brutal response to 7 October has reversed decades of Israeli and US efforts to convince Arabs that Palestine could no longer have a veto on Israeli-Arab relations. Today that veto is stronger than ever before. [...]
Of the two strategies, Sinwar’s seems to be working. Whether he lives or dies, that agenda already has an unstoppable momentum of its own. [...]
This war has stripped Israel of its liberal Zionist image, the image of the new kid on the block trying to defend itself in a “tough neighbourhood”. This has been replaced by the image of a regional ogre, a genocidal state, with no moral compass, using terror to survive. Such a state cannot live in peace with its neighbours. It crushes and dominates to survive.
Netanyahu’s war is short-term and tactical. Sinwar’s war is long-term. It is to make Israel realise it can never keep the lands it has occupied if it wants peace.
Netanyahu’s war is a year old and can only continue in the same way it started by meting out the same devastation to south Lebanon that Gaza received. It has no reverse gear. Sinwar’s war has only just started.
How Netanyahu stole defeat from the jaws of victory: Netanyahu's brutal response to 7 October has undone decades of increasingly successful efforts by Israel and the US to convince Arab governments to abandon the Palestinian national cause.

Like 800 words of a Ghoap x Reader fic I've been sitting on for way too long. School is hard. Life is busy. I love you and miss you.
Premise: Ghost is a porn director, Soap is an actor, you're Ghost's girlfriend.
mdni. nsfw below the cut.
Ghost abusing his authority over Soap and getting him to come in early/late to shoots so he can get a few ‘warm-up’ shots in (bending Soap over the chaise in his dressing room) or randomly calling for ‘emergency shoots’ (he wants to take a shitty iPhone video of Soap on his hands and knees gagging on his cock).
It started out as a means to end Johnny’s bitching. He refused to take performance boosters, citing some bullshit argument about how “if athletes cannae use them, neither can I.” A non-argument, Ghost thought. But still, he found himself bullying the man into a tech room and letting him grind on the toe of his boot until he spilled his mess on the floor. It didn’t solve the problem. Like giving a begging dog table scraps.
Johnny apparently needed his cock milked before any shoot where he was expected to come on camera. Howled like a bitch in heat until Ghost appeased him, and even after that it was touch and go.
But then there was his dove. Dutifully waiting for him every night. Sweeter, more soft than Soap. Less whining, similar resistance, but took easier to his guiding hand. Never had any issue with his work. Never a flare of jealousy when he spent most of his day staring at writhing naked bodies.
Simon figured out somewhere in his balancing act that he was able to work out some of his aggression on Johnny. Brat takes it better. He doesn’t get a feeling like stones are being slowly added to the pressure on his ribs when he sees Soap’s big blue eyes get teary. He’s gentler with his dove. Takes his time because he can.
He’s fantastic at keeping his work and private lives completely separate. Fucking exemplary. You’d think they were entirely different planets the way he seemed to turn completely off to them.
Ghost finds himself net neutral on the situation. It’s like picking between his left and right hand to fist over his cock. More an issue of convenience. Not like he’s got a standout sex drive, it mostly just happens as appeasement. Get Johnny to quit sodding griping, keep the dove happy in her cage.
But of course, worlds collide. They always do when they revolve so close to one another. There’s bound to be a rotation in the axis that sends them smashing into one another.
And of course it happens on a day where Johnny is entirely out of control. Whining in scenes, ruining takes, wasting film and time; time he’s paid- fucking handsomely- to be pleasant for.
Ghost hears her before he sees her. Standing next to one of the cameras with a cigarette clamped between his teeth, glowering down the barrel at Soap who was making a sour face and rubbing oil onto the back of some actress with a thin towel covering her modesty. His ears are tuned to the frequency of her voice, picking it out with ease amongst the dull chatter that had flared since the cameras stopped rolling even from all the way down the hall.
She was chatting with the receptionist who no doubt chose to walk her where she needed to be to bask in the warmth that was her company. His bird had that effect on people. Always sweet and sunshine. Saved the sharp wit and snark for home or to be whispered in his ear. Trained perfectly by his expert hand.
He didn’t bother looking away from Johnny when she walked in the door. Now engaged in some sort of silent staring contest. Ghost glaring down the crook of his nose at the smaller man. He couldn’t quite pick out if the look in Johnny’s eyes was disdain or desire. They were synonymous at this point. Shame he couldn’t sort out that attitude of his properly now. Save everyone the fucking tantrum.
He calls for a cut. Gruffs out a tight 5 and reset. Tosses his cigarette to the ground and crushes it under the heel of his boot. He doesn’t have the time to turn around before he hears two planets collide.
“- you lookin’ for a role, bonnie? Ye know, I’ve got connections ‘round here. Make ye a star in fifteen minutes.”
Her laugh is honest and amused. It cuts straight through the sound of the studio and rings like church bells.
“Oh, I dunno. I’m a terrible read.”
He looks over his shoulder and sees Johnny tying the belt of his robe in a lazy knot over his hip. More decorative than anything seeing as the plush thing is cast open all the way down his torso. Exposing, with painfully obvious intention, the gloss of oil on skin and the whorls of dark hair that decorate his chest.
“Dinnae believe that for a minute. ‘Sides, pretty girl like you hardly needs to talk. Bet we could work out a scene where you only have to open your mouth for-”
He’s cut off when the receptionist knocks her shoulder into his and throws him a warning look on her way out. It doesn’t strike the chord it should, but it fulfills the end goal all the same.

week of march 24th, 2024
these are written predominantly for the *rising* signs but they are also intuitively "channeled" enough that they should work for any dominant energy you have! (try your sun if you don't know rising, or more advanced readers can try moon, anywhere you have a stellium, etc and see what works best for you!)
aries: the week starts with a lunar eclipse featuring you and any form of partnership you are in. it ends with a nodal square by ceres. everything is fated and powerful. take nothing for granted.
taurus: your ruling planet sextiles uranus in your sign from pisces. you overflow with charm and charisma, even in unexpected situations. especially socially. meanwhile the eclipse this week is a push to make the mundane sacred.
gemini: this kind of energy is honestly ripe for "situationships" or weird relationship events involving your circle of acquaintances, perhaps in competition with an existing closer partner. you don't have to follow conventional wisdom when it comes to dealing with those situations, no matter how pleasant or unpleasant.
cancerians: it's time for a cardinal lunar eclipse. your public and private lives may want to merge, or separate. there is not necessarily a lot you can do except go with it, and accept that even upheaval can have positive results.
leo: this week's full moon eclipse is a big deal for you, but not as big as some other eclipses might be as your ruler the sun is in a strong position. whatever volatility occurs, you bend it to your own will.
virgo: a square between the lunar nodes and virgo-affiliated ceres can overwhelm even the effects of this week's eclipse. all eclipses are volatile, but at this time it seems that the slightest disruption causes chaos in your bodily systems. go the extra mile for your health - YOUR health, not what is pushed to the masses as "healthy".
libra: this week sees an eclipse across the axis you share with aries. it highlights the relationship between yourself and the people you are in relationships with - close partnerships, best friends, etc. you cannot expect it to go smoothly, but you can expect the truth, even if the other person resists it. just don't rely on words alone.
scorpio: if you were a computer this week would have you popping up all kinds of error messages about the routines you're trying to force. you are not a computer, but your body will still alert you. listen closely! correct accordingly.
sagittarius: your usual social groups are not the place this week for you to find love or even a simple good time. it's not that you have to stay home, it's just that expectations will cause you some heartache. have none.
capricorn: whatever your natal capricorn placements, they are likely to get tense vibes from this eclipse. it's not like anyone has an easy breezy eclipse season, but yours is supposed to push and pull you and make you a little uncomfortable, in order to show you where to go and what to do next.
aquarius: libran eclipses such as the lunar eclipse this week affect your academic life, long-distance travel and affairs, even your spirituality. aries involvement due to the sun's location is also going to affect you in your local community, short-distance travel, and communication - regardless of whatever mercury is doing, even if that means amplifying it.
pisces: it may seem that everyone has advice on what you should do with your time and money, and/or other resources. but you're the one who gets to decide. my advice is simply to live within your personal integrity and keep yourself safe and healthy.

Please feel free not to answer for any reason but I was wondering what people's opinions are on the communist resistance in Greece during WW2 and the civil war? I'm trying to learn more about modern Greek history since I'm not in Greece but I have no idea what people think about communists in Greece. Thank you and I hope you have a good day! :)
Hello! This is a great question with a very complex answer. I will try to keep my answer as short and simple as possible because I typically try to keep this blog politics-free (ok sometimes I too can't help it), for no other reason than that politics (or the poor understanding of politics) can poison and ruin any genuinely good-meaning Greek effort. It's the ultimate Greek vice and the true reason for 90% of our problems historically. Since antiquity.
During WW2 and the Axis Occupation of Greece the Left Wing formed EAM (the National Resistance Front) and its respective military faculty ELAS (Greek People's Liberation Army). The participation of the Greek people was massive. There was also a right wing resistance army (EDES), however it never managed to compare to the impact EAM - ELAS had. Whatever you may know abroad about the Greek Resistance in WW2 is 70-80% thanks to EAM - ELAS. This enormous contribution cannot be overlooked and it is respected unanimously by Greeks of all political ideologies nowadays. Maybe some ultra nationalists are a little more frugal with their praises but in general there is unanimous respect and commemoration of EAM's activity during the Axis invasion of Greece.
This however is not the same reception most (non-Communist) Greeks had and have for the Communists prior and especially after the end of WW2. I will try to turn an insanely long and complicated story into something simple. Greece in the first half of the 20th century was a conservative western oriented kingdom. Due to this, communists were usually perceived very negatively and in fact they were even persecuted and exiled during short lived right wing dictatorships. The Greek Communist Party (KKE) was legalised and outlawed all the time like it was a tennis match.
After WW2 and the impact of EAM - ELAS, the momentum the Left had in the Greek society was tremendous. At the same time war ravaged Greece was a state that had to be rebuilt from scratch. When the Civil War first broke out in 1944, some parts of Greece were still occupied by the Axis Powers, 90% of Greece's infrastructure was destroyed, 1/7 of the population had perished from famine or extermination and the government was only just returning from exile. So when we say it had to be rebuilt from scratch amidst utter chaos, it's literal. A National Unity government with a prominent Greek politician (we'd call him a socialist) with very good relations with the British and the Americans was established in the country with the direct open interference of the Allied Forces. Initially, there were plans that the official regular Greek army that had to be re-recruited would be 50% manned with trained ELAS guerillas, as a reward for their contribution in liberating significant parts of the country, while the rest 50% would be manned by the various right wing and pre-existing regular troops. Meanwhile, the Communists now expected the full restoration of their reputation in the country and the unquestionable legalisation of KKE. However, time passed and those plans were not signed and set into motion by the politicians as promised. On the contrary, the Greek government (and the British allies) demanded the disarmament of the ELAS fighters and most other troops without any sign of fulfilling their previous promise. Suspicions rose once more and ELAS did not comply. Things looked even more bleak when EAM ministers resigned from their position in the National Unity government.
Protests and rallies started taking place. Those were monitored by Greek government soldiers. During the Dekemvrianá (December 1944 events), some soldiers - following orders - opened fire in one of these rallies and killed protesters. There were 28 casualties and 148 wounded. This is the official opening scene of the Civil War.
Now, here's the thing. In its true essence, this initially was not a genuine civil war. This was one of the first "battles" of the Cold War. While the activity of EAM - ELAS was very convenient for the Allied Powers as long as they were fighting off Nazis and fascists, they were promising things to them. But once Greece was effectively liberated, there was an imminent danger that a country with such a leftist momentum and an army 50% made of leftist and communist troops would rapidly pass under the influence of Soviet Russia and Stalin. This is what was discussed in an infamous meeting of Winston Churchill with Joseph Stalin, with the involvement of Franklin Roosevelt. In this unofficial meeting, Churchill ceded most of the western influence in Eastern Europe in exchange with almost complete influence on Greece. See the infamous "percentages" they agreed upon:
Tumblr media
This was of course because the Americans and the British did not want to lose the access to the Eastern Mediterranean and the Greek navy and hand them over to the Russians.
All these led to the tragedies of the Greek civil war, a war that lasted 3-4 years with an estimated 80,000 - 158,000 death toll and huge consequences that left a trauma that has still not been mended in the Greek society. I won't go into the details of it - just some super rough summary. During the Civil War both sides committed atrocities to the extent of their means. The official army and the government were of course financially supported by the British and then the Americans, because after a while even the British could not handle how costly that war was getting. The guerillas had no support, no access to weaponry, finances or medications. They hoped for assistance from Soviet Russia but Stalin was honouring his agreement and did not meddle at all. This made them grow more and more desperate. That's when they turned to Yugoslavia and its communist political leader Tito. Tito opened the borders and provided the Greek guerillas with weaponry and medications. However, it was not exactly or solely out of his good heart. There was pressure applied to the communists that they should in turn assist and "strengthen" the presence of Slavs in Macedonia. Technically, Tito tried to infiltrate Macedonia through this assistance (the Republic of North Macedonia is where south Yugoslavia was). The Greek communists did make some confusing announcements in press, however it was more like desparate throw-away vague statements in order to ensure the continued support by Tito rather than a genuine unanimous agreement to hand over Macedonia to the Slavs, like they were accused by the Greek right wing. The Greek communists revoked soon after the mayhem that was caused. It is also true that there were Slav Macedonians that had joined the Greek guerillas, however even the pro-western Wikipedia page says that their numbers were exaggerated by the Greek right wing in order to defame the communists. In any case, the Communist party did a lot of suicidal things at the time. This is a personal input but in my opinion it didn't help that it was led by Nikos Zahariadis, one of the most confusing political figures in Greece's history. Maybe it is just me but I have never read any relevant historical source, even from a leftist political side, and managed to make sense of what Zahariadis was thinking or doing. Maybe it's just me but it's my humble truth.
Those "defamations" and the consequent defeat in the war have been following Communists ever since. The way the right wing and the left wing have been accusing each other has not changed much - the former are accused of being muppets of the west and the latter are accused of being national traitors or Anthellenes (anti-Greeks). There was a Communist comeback during the Colonel Junta of 1967-1974. At the time their resistance to the regime was notable. However, after the fall of the colonel regime and the Metapolítefsi in 1974 - 1975 (the final change of the political system from a constitutional monarchy to a parliamentary republic) Communism was overtook by Socialism. Nowadays, even claiming there are true political ideologies in Greece is a joke, if you ask me. Of course there are right wing and left wing people, however the existing political parties look at where the wind blows and there is no genuine ideological vision, just corruption and incompetence.
To my understanding, there are two-three large categories of leftist / communists these days. Those of a boomer age or older who are stuck in the old days of KKE and the glory of EAM and are not in touch with current matters, some young people who indeed equate uttering the word "Greece" with being ultra-nationalist (but this new type of leftists has next to nothing in common with the communists of the 20th century, it's more like a rebel type going through a far too long puberty) and leftist people who genuinely envision the best for the country in the way they understand it but they have been receiving all the bad rap from the others. KKE was the fourth party in power in the elections of 2023 but there is another leftist party which is second in power.
And this was the short version of events. I hope I did not hurt or offend anybody with this and if I did, it was not my intention. Forgive any potential inaccuracies in my effort to turn a huge, extremely complex and even more extremely sensitive story into a tumblr answer.

Cloud:   Pop quiz time. A train is traveling west to east at speed of 300km/h. The driver applies the brake producing a deceleration of 1.4m/s/s. In newtons, how hard will the man in carriage 7 mash his face into the seat in front of him and realize most of the problems in his life are created not by external circumstances but by his own repeated self-sabotage?
Aerith:   Cloud?
Cloud:   Are human tears primarily composed of a) water b) antibodies c) a quiet admission that all of our plans and dreams will eventually turn to forgotten dust or d) salt?
Aerith:   Cloud!
Cloud:   Daniel gets salty at criticism and admits he is wrong: never. In years, how long will it be before he alienates all of his friends with this behavior and finds himself entirely alone?
Tifa:   Is this supposed to be a personal attack?
Cloud:   Rachel has chosen to remain alone at home for the evening and drink two liters of red wine. Please identify the correct chemical formula for consumable alcohol. Is it: a) C2H6O b) C2H5OH or c) The 17th time this year Rachel has attempted to solve an issue by escaping it internally simultaneously knowing at some point, however difficult, she will have to confront whatever it is that went wrong and why?
Tifa:   Yo what the fuck?
Cloud:   If the y axis is a sense of purpose, and the x axis is the course of a person’s life time, please explain the significance of this result. *flips them off*
Aerith:   Cloud this isn’t funny.
Cloud:   Quiz ain’t over yet. Alice and Pierre are having a significant disagreement. Pierre says ‘why didn’t Obi-Wan Kenobi remember R2D2 in star wars episode IV?’ Alice says 'he did, because, like, remember when he called him his little friend.’ Pierre replies 'then why did he say he didn’t remember owning a droid.’ And Alice returned 'that’s because R2D2 was Anikin’s droid.’ Who is right and why?
Cloud:   Please study figure 66 of the world not giving the slightest shit. And relatedly refer to figure 72 of the world before you were born. Then the world after you’re gone. Then the world after everybody is gone.
Cloud:   *Holds his arms apart* Is this angle a) acute b) obtuse c) reflex or d) the hug we desperately wish we could ask for but have convinced ourselves that the pain of existence must be carried alone on our backs forever and ever?
Tifa:   This is a personal attack.
Aerith:   I’ll hug for as long as you want as much as you want.
Cloud:   Ava and James sometimes interact digitally. This month James has responded: 4, 3, and 7 days after Ava’s messages so as to give the impression he is uninterested despite being completely infatuated with her. What is James’ median reply time and why will he live miserably ever after?
Tifa:   Is this why you don’t text me back immediately?
Cloud:   Arthur knows people who are nice to him, and people he likes. Please explain why the only people he pushes away are the few who belong to this intersection.
Aerith:   I don’t know…
Cloud:   An intersection is a point where two lines cross over. Will and Claire intersect on a street. Claire is thinking 'Do you know that I still love you? That I will always love you? I was never as happy as when things were good between us and I wish it could have worked and I’m just so sorry.’ Will is thinking 'Not a day goes by where I don’t remember your little and big kindnesses. And I recall the heights of happiness we climbed to. And how sure we were that it couldn’t go wrong until it all went wrong and I’m just so sorry.’ Their lines will not intersect again. Why are people like this?!
Aerith:   Cloud, what the actual fuck.
Cloud:   This year Amelia has suffered a death in the family, a break up, and several personal crises. Calculate her remaining resistance to completely loosing it when Christopher says: 'Hey you look sad. have you tried going for a run? Have you tried the paleo diet? Have you tried melatonin?’
Tifa:   Okay Cloud we get it.
Cloud:   I’m not finished with the exam. A pine cone is the canonical fruit of the pine tree. It isn’t sentient but it also doesn’t suffer for possessing sentience. Therefore, would you rather live as a) a pine cone b) a pine cone or c) a pine cone?
Cloud:   A pine cone experiences neither shame, anxiety, nor the long months that turn grey and numb for conceivably no reason. Using only the terms 'gnaa!’ and 'aaahahaah!’ explain what a nice condition it must be to be a pine cone.
Cloud:   A pine cone is traveling from west to east at 300km/h. If the driver applies the brakes even if the pine cone bops its head, even if the pine cone comes home to its house burning down and its life destroyed, even if Octolon custodian of the seven hell realms manifested in the sky and started laying waste to continents with anti-matter beams shooting out of his ass please explain why the pine cone will witness and bear these things with ease and experience no self contradictions, no sadness, but merely boundless calm.
Aerith:
Tifa:
Cloud:   And for extra marks please explain why evolution or a deity would bestow upon a person a big enough brain to realize they are fucking up but make them too stupid to stop fucking up and if your answer is 'happiness’ please show all your workings.
Aerith:

Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine
On the occasion of the first anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle
The Al-Aqsa Flood Battle marks a strategic turning point in our struggle, and the resistance will not be broken.
On the first anniversary of the epic crossing of October 7th (the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle), we proudly and reverently recall this exceptional event in the history of our Palestinian people’s struggle. This moment embodied the steadfast will of the resistance in confronting the brutal occupation. This battle represented a strategic shift in the conflict, revealing the enemy’s weakness, fragility, and the cracks in its military security system, further deepening its internal crises.
On this glorious day last year, hundreds of resistance fighters dealt a crushing defeat to the [IOF] Gaza Division, managing to control large parts of our occupied lands within hours and returning with hundreds of captured soldiers and officers.
Over the past year of systemsatic zionist aggression, the resistance has executed high-level operations that paralyzed the enemy’s military capabilities and confused its leadership, which falsely assumed it could eradicate the resistance within weeks. During the ground maneuvers, the occupation suffered heavy losses in lives and equipment, despite employing scorched-earth tactics. The resistance continued to bombard “israeli” cities and settlements with rockets, striking deep into zionist territory.
The unity of the fields among the factions of the Axis of Resistance, from Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq, became evident, with active participation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, which contributed to depleting the enemy and developing the equation of deterrence using missiles and drones to strike deep within zionist territory. This strengthened the resistance’s presence on the regional stage.
On the political and international front, the zionist entity found itself in unprecedented isolation, with global protests against its brutal crimes intensifying. The International Court of Justice issued rulings condemning the occupation’s crimes, despite the constraints imposed by American pressure. International pressure on the entity increased in global forums, and the Palestinian voice rose against zionist lies, leading to unprecedented global protests, particularly in universities worldwide.
Our people and resistance made enormous sacrifices over the past year, with hundreds of thousands of martyrs, wounded, missing, and prisoners. The conflict expanded from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank and then to Lebanon.
In this battle, great leaders ascended as martyrs, foremost among them the martyr leader, Sayyed of the Martyrs, Hassan Nasrallah; the symbolic leader, Ismail Haniyeh; leader Saleh Al-Arouri; and a long list of leaders and cadres from the PFLP, led by comrade Nidal Abdul Aal, member of the Political Bureau and head of the security and military department.
Gaza and the West Bank witnessed widespread destruction of infrastructure due to unprecedented, barbaric zionist bombing, worse than in any previous conflict or war. This led to the suffering of hundreds of thousands of forcibly displaced people, with the occupation committing unprecedented crimes against civilians, bombing hospitals, schools, and vital facilities, preventing humanitarian aid, and targeting journalists in its pursuit of genocide and displacement.
Despite the enemy's attempts to displace our people in Gaza and the West Bank, the steadfastness of the people and the resistance thwarted these plans, and the enemy failed to achieve its goals of crushing the resistance or retrieving the hostages.
The resistance managed to compensate for its leadership losses, regain control of the battle, and prove that the West Bank is a key player in the struggle with the rising armed resistance.
On this occasion, the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine reaffirms the following:
1 - The Al-Aqsa Flood Battle marked a strategic turning point in the history of Palestinian resistance, and its lessons will continue to be studied in military academies, both in planning and execution.
2 - The enemy failed to achieve its stated objectives, most notably eradicating the resistance and retrieving hostages, and continues to flounder in defeat in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon.
3 - The resistance demonstrated its ability to endure, compensate for leadership losses, and enhance its defensive and offensive capabilities.
4 - The resistance remains committed to its basic demands: full withdrawal from Gaza, an end to aggression, the return of displaced people, reconstruction, and a complete lifting of the siege.
5 - There is a pressing need to restore Palestinian national unity and develop a comprehensive resistance strategy to confront the significant challenges posed by the occupation.
6 - The rise of armed resistance in the West Bank is a strategic choice for resistance factions and a crucial element in the conflict.
7 - The Arab masses are called upon to take the initiative in confronting the policies of reactionary regimes, halting normalization, and taking to the streets in support of Palestine and the resistance.
8 - The escalation of global mass movements must continue with greater force to expose the crimes of the occupation and to condemn Western and American support for “israeli” aggression.
In conclusion, on behalf of the factions and the Axis of Resistance, we reaffirm our pledge to our people, our nation, and the free people of the world that the flame of resistance will remain alight and will not be extinguished until the aggression is defeated and Palestine is liberated. Victory is inevitable as long as our people's will remains steadfast and their determination unyielding.
Glory to the martyrs, freedom for the prisoners, and with certainty victory is coming.

Long term effects on Joints of the Whale Suit
TW: Body Horror, Unreality (I think)
One thing I often think about with making this whale suit is what would this do to my body as it is now. I wish to return to the water, to stay in it forever. I wish to leave behind this human life, in a place I do not belong and was never meant to have. My body twisted into this horrendous, at times agonising, shape. A shape wish does not allow me well to walk or move as I wish, which has stranded me upon this dreaded land. But the humans made me clever, clever enough to twist my own body in turn, and to free myself back to the water I belong. Even if I can never fully return to the sea and swim free and return to my kind, them perhaps I can live in an aquarium or zoo or something.
But there are consequences to twisting my body back to the whale shape it belongs. Especially if I wish to stay as a whale not for hours, or even days, but for months or years - which indeed I do.
If I were to return to the wild, and indeed somehow survive out there, that drowning or orca or any number of things that can kill a young small whale did not kill me quickly, it would be substantial amounts of time between removing the suit, if ever. There are a number of problems I have not resolved, and some I honestly do not know yet how to on a long term basis (namely intake of food and water and expulsion of waste). For some things like skin and moisture management I also do not have good long term solutions. Skin would almost certainly build up and in time it would not be surprising for the skin to quite literally merge with the suit at some level, beyond things like fungal growth and irritation.
In this particular case though, I want to focus mainly on joints. Human bodies conform surprisingly well to cetacean bodies, especially compared to most other animals. The legs together easily become a tail, and the arms the flippers. Of course though human heads are not in the same direction as the spine, human skin is not resistant to the water, human blowholes face the wrong direction, and human ears cannot detect direction in the water, among other things. But human bodies have a number of additional movement modes when compared to cetaceans. Cetacean flippers contain all the bones a human hand does. However the joints are effectively fused and have no motion within them.
Tumblr media
Additionally the neck in minke (and most cetaceans with the exclusion of beluga and I believe some dolphins) are fixed. This is honestly fine given how large minke mouths and heads are, meaningfully moving that would be extremely difficult and it will make supporting the head easier. The legs which would take over function as a tail also has greater mobility especially in one axis, as well as keyly the ability to split away from the centre.
With these things we can make estimations of what the effects on most joints would be, and level of restrictions.
Tumblr media
A number of joints are likely to be effectively entirely immobile, particularly those of the flipper except those involved in angling the flipper which are the only fully tree joints (being the shoulder and the radiocarpal joint). Additionally the neck is likely to be substantially immobile, though it is unclear how much mobility would remain in the neck, however the head would have to be relatively still in order to engage with things like breathing, food, water, and sensing. The remaining joints will have some pretty significant reduction in range of motion. The hips are unlikely to ever flex beyond 45 degrees or so, and being mounted together, things like the separation of the legs and twisting of legs would not occur. Similarly the knees and ankles will also have a significantly reduced range likely also in the range of 45-60 degrees. The toes are not so restricted as like the jaw they are effectively an internal joint without effective loading, however as they do not really serve a function, nor had real force on them, they are likely to go through a very limited range of motion.
The maintaining of joints requires their movement through the full range of motion. If you have ever had a splint or a cast you have experienced the loss of motion when it was removed. A similar thing would occur to me as well. Contractures and loss to mobility in joints can start to occur relatively quickly, some things note as quick as a week of immobility can start to require physical therapy, and much beyond a month would require significant intervention or that I would be effectively confined to the water and unable to live outside of it.
If I lived in captivity which is normally how I envision my future back in the water to be, then there are some things which can possibly mitigate some of the effects. I imagine every day or couple days I could come out of the water for an hour or two, eat, scrub down my skin and clean my underbody, eliminate solid waste, and replace certain things like skin coverings before returning to the water. That process, and trying to stretch, would likely reduce the rate of atrophy of joints and muscles.
Tumblr media
I admit that brings with it a certain level of anxiety. I do belong in the water, and I do not have particular attachment to my hands, they are devices the humans have attached to me and seeing them, especially without gloves to cover them is quite distressing, but they are very useful. I would be putting myself fully to the mercy of the humans, or the sea. But then, I have always been at the mercy of the humans ever since they pulled me from the water. Still if anything went wrong, if the suit needed repairs or I had to produce a new one, I would no longer be able to do so. I can only have the chance to escape, to fix things, not because of human's kindness, or mercy, but a side effect of what they did to make us useful to them. But this means realistically I have one shot to escape them. One chance to return back to the water where I belong, one chance to swim forever.

The Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular Front mourns the great national leader, the martyr Yahya Sinwar “Abu Ibrahim,” and describes him as having been martyred at the forefront of the ranks in a heroic clash in Rafah.
On behalf of the Secretary-General of the Popular Front, the imprisoned national leader Ahmed Saadat “Abu Ghassan”, the Political Bureau and the Central Committee, and in the name of the masses of our people, our Arab nation and the Axis of Resistance, we mourn the great national leader, the martyr Yahya Sinwar “Abu Ibrahim”, head of the Political Bureau of the Hamas movement, who was martyred in a heroic clash in the Tal al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah.
We have lost an exceptional and irreplaceable leader, a fighter who never retreated or withdrew, and was always at the forefront of the ranks, advancing with his spirit and body towards the front lines of fire, defying with determination and resolve the zionist war machine, completing a long struggle of resistance and great sacrifices in the footsteps of dozens of martyr leaders who were martyred on the same path and road, headed by the martyr leaders Ahmed Yassin (https://t.me/PalestineResist/5690?single), Abu Ammar, Abu Ali Mustafa (https://t.me/PalestineResist/11790), Fathi Shaqaqi (https://t.me/PalestineResist/59311), Ismail Haniyeh (https://t.me/PalestineResist/61232), Saleh al-Arouri (https://t.me/PalestineResist/25329), and a long list of martyr leaders who ascended during the long struggle of our people from the British occupation until today.
The martyr Abu Ibrahim chose the path of struggle, armed with steadfastness and determination, and believing that martyrdom is the greatest honor that a true leader can attain in the process of liberating his people, as he made important contributions to strengthening the liberation project alongside the Palestinian resistance factions that were partners in blood and sacrifices on the battlefield.
We got to know the martyr closely after his liberation, and he had a pivotal role in building the national strategy of struggle to liberate Palestine with the resistance factions. The epic of Al-Aqsa Flood, of which he was the chief architect, showcased his military genius. In this heroic battle, the resistance, through its various military wings, engaged in a true war of attrition against the defeated zionist enemy. This battle affirmed that the liberation of Palestine has always been a top priority for this martyr and all those who ascended in this immortal battle.
With his martyrdom, a new phase of struggle begins, the path of which will be continued by heroic and loyal leaders and resistance fighters armed with the same determination and resolve, and following the same approach of the martyr Abu Ibrahim, who always believed that freedom can only be achieved through continuous resistance and sacrifice.
Although our loss today is great, the legacy of the martyr leader Yahya Sinwar will remain a beacon for future generations, who will stand proudly for a long time before the legacy of this leader who engineered and planned the epic Al-Aqsa Flood and fought it with all the resistance fighters of our people with unforgettable courage, dedicating his life to national unity and unifying the Palestinian ranks, believing that Palestinian strength lies in our internal cohesion.
We are confident that the resistance, which the martyr and all the martyred leaders inscribed with their souls and blood, will not stop, and that the struggle will continue until the goals for which they lived and were martyred are achieved: the liberation of all of Palestine from the river to the sea, the establishment of the State of Palestine with Al-Quds as its capital, and the liberation of all prisoners.
Glory and immortality to the martyrs, the resistance continues, and victory to our people.
Deputy Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - Jamil Mezher October 18, 2024

Nizar Banat on Iranian support of Palestinian resistance
"To those [Palestinians] who disapprove of Iran, where did you get your rockets from habibi? Don't you applaud the rockets and cheer for them in support of the resistance? Where did you get the rockets that protected Gaza from? You should be ashamed of yourselves!
They say that Iran "exploits the Palestinian Cause to spread Shi'ism" If so, why would it bother with 42+ years of sanctions? Several hundred million of its dollars confiscated, and yet it still takes from its people's food to support and sustain the Palestinian resistance. They don't have to do that. Iran is the only country in the world that has a permanent clause in its budget, from the budget of Iranian people's bread, that pledges support to the Palestinian revolution, regardless of its orientation, whether it was Fatah, the PFLP, the communists, anyone! It never intervened in our ideological conceptions of resistance. It says, "Take, take, become a man and fight"
Iran's problem with America is not new. It did not start with the so-called "Syrian revolution", with all due respect, you bunch of [redacted]! Iran's problem with America started in 1953, when America led a coup d'état against the government of Mosaddeq, and against the will of the Iranian people, who kicked out the shah in 1953, America and Britain came and planned the coup and reinstated the shah, in cooperation with the Mossad.
Iran's vengeance started a long time ago; but it is a nation with dignity and honor, and knows clearly that the American presence is the problem, that the Israeli presence is the problem […]
Iran is your partner culturally, historically, geographically, and religiously, whether you like it or not, they are our partners, and it is their right to lead this current phase [of struggle]. As Arabs, you betrayed all your historical responsibilities, you betrayed your national responsibility and your Islamic responsibility, you even betrayed your linguistic responsibilities and now Iranians speak your language better than you do. What do you have to offer? Come on, go ahead.
There's a fundamental rule in politics: if you do not have your own plan, then you are forced to accept being a part of others' plans, especially since you have nothing to offer. What do you have to offer, our beloved Sunni family? To be a lackey for the Americans, like the rule of the Gulf? No. You have to come with your own plan and be an active member of the new axis that Iran has been building for 40 years and paid for with blood and a 42 year long siege.
Part of this deformed feeling carried by a lot of people against Iran is the result of an inferiority complex among Arabs, where the Arab feels stepped on by other nations. He thinks the Iranian does not deserve to rise. Well the Turk is rising, why aren't you rising against him? The Turk ruled you and humiliated you and the prints of the Turkish boot are seen all over this great Arab homeland so why shouldn't the Iranian rise? [...] you will not find anything more stupid than this. It is utterly infuriating.
So, you are not impressed by the Iranian project, right? What could possibly impress you? What is the alternative? The lines of those who want to head into a peace process? And how? First we destroy our relationship with Syria, then Iran, and then we go, "Well, we cannot defeat Israel through war, war is futile and destructive, and no one supports us!" You are hypocrites! I swear on the blood of all martyrs, I swear on the blood of Wadee' Haddad the Christian, Soleimani the Shia, and Ahmad Yassin the Sunni, I swear on the blood of all three, that you are liars, and that we the Sunnis are the biggest hypocrites and most guilty of taqiya. So please, as we say in colloquial Palestinian, cut the [redacted]
Your job is to fortify society against the spread of defeatist thought […] Iran is a country that's been living under sanction for over 40 years. Based on what right does America besiege it? Do you accept the American sanctions? Is it enough for you that Iran and its allies managed to drive out the American and the French from Lebanon in 1983? The mighty men of Hezbollah in Lebanon blew up the marines base and killed around 400 American and French soldiers. The number was tremendous! They expelled every single one of them, and Hezbollah managed to focus their fight against the Israelis. This is manhood. These are people who think, and know how to plan, and know exactly when to execute the deadly blow.
Iran has been successful in its battles, and has been working, principally, for 42 years to expel the Americans and the Israelis from this region. Not for the purpose of taking their place, but to deter their evil! And you still dare to speak of "an Iranian project"? It is actually more than enough that they've managed to protect themselves while living next to this moronic Arab neighbor.
And again, where is your "Sunni nation"? How many [weapons] did you receive through Jordan? Your Sunni nation refuses to perform its duties towards you while sending thousands of fighters to Syria, and under what pretext? "We want to topple bashar al-assad"—who was not embroiled in any peace process—"we want to topple him and then head to free Palestine!" Well, you did topple him momentarily from dara'a, the golan heights, and other areas bordering israel… what was the result, O fans of Al-Nusra front? the result was that al-nusra front militants received medical treatment in israeli field hospitals.
So please…our beloved supporters of all factions, Haj Fouad Shubaki and Captain Omar Akkawi, are still in [Israeli] prisons. the heroes of karine A, the arms ship that was sent by General Soleimani to Fatah during the second intifada, at the time when every single arab regime helped in besieging Arafat, except for Syria. Be ashamed of yourselves.
Our condolences to this great nation for the martyrdom of its heroes. Together we fight for emancipation of the land and the human. But to achieve that, the Arab nation has to be cleansed from this class of compradors who have been taking over a large space in society, the compradors of idiocy, the compradors of NGOs, the compradors of sectarian strife, and the compradors of defeatist thought."
— Martyr Nizar Banat
Nizar Banat was one of the most prominent activists opposing the Palestinian National Authority. He was beaten to death by Palestinian National Authority police on June 24th, 2021 after being taken into custody.

Harry understands politics better than the majority of his fans. There will be one teocratic Islamic republic of Palestine. All Palestinians will be liberated. All Palestinian lands. As long as Iran exists there will never be Two States one of which is an Occupier of Palestinian lands. Why can't you understand that? Arafat was KGB. Soviet Union aka Russia together with Iran and China will finish what Soviet Union started and erase Israel. Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Axis of Resistance will liberate all Palestinians. Palestine with Jews living in Palestine. Do you understand why Russia gave that Ultimatum to US and NATO in December 2021? It is a win-win for the  Moscow-Tehran-Beijing Axis. Why do you think Putin is so happy after all those recent high-level meetings with Iran, Hamas in Moscow and China? When they win as US/NATO will capitulate in Ukraine/Europe, in the Middle East, Central Asia, South China Sea/Taiwan, having already lost Africa, Latam. BRICS will dethrone the dollar and thus democracies. That is new world order that Putin was talking about a few days ago, that will be the 21st century under dictatorships. China plans for 100 years. US/NATO/EU already lost. Democracies already lost. Netherlands is only another domino falling. It is work camps next. Some rainbow coloured.

Batfamily AU: Second World War
For any curious fanfic writers either on here for AO3, I present to you this prompt and the following scenarios to inspire some ideas. Ages of the characters involved will be played around with for the purposes of the prompt. So without further ado;
Bruce Wayne is a decorated Colonel within the US Marine Corps, haunted still by his experiences as an expeditionary force Medic during both the First World War and the Russian Civil War. He knows firsthand the damage and carnage that lies in the battlefields and it does upon the men who fight in them. As such, he drills and trains his troops with precision and bluntness out of a deep desire to ensure their security and survival as he’ll be leading them into combat. Among his ranks though would be one particular recruit who lied about his age, being actually a mere 15 years old, who goes by the name of Jason Peter Todd .
With Jason by his side, Bruce and his platoon would be deployed to the Pacific Islands as part of the US’ island hopping campaign against the Imperial Japanese Army and Navy. He will fight tooth and nail to protect his men and Jason especially and nothing would stop him from any means necessary to do so, maybe even disobeying orders from his superiors and attacking the enemy garrison at nighttime with a certain black and grey cowl, cape and mask. A living shadow that sows terror and fear in the Hearst of even the strongest men.
Then, there’s Dick Grayson, or at least that’s what how he’ll be called had he lived in the US. In this AU, the 10 1/2 year old acrobat lives with his parents within their traveling circus, having performances across what are to day the modern day boundaries of Ukraine. Unfortunately though, during a long string performances at the city of Kyiv, Operation Barbarossa had begun. The German Wermacht quickly made their way to occupy the city and in the chaos of the takeover, Dick’s parents were captured, taken away no doubt to labor camps. After making a run for his own safety on his Mother’s order and reaching the outskirts of the city, Dick was shortly picked up by a small detachment of the Soviet Red Army.
During the first few weeks of fending off the German advance into their lands, Dick’s platoon would stumble across one of the many other cities decimated by their Axis foes, reduced to a smoldering rubble with any to all citizens who resisted or caught in the crossfire summarily executed. Within the ruins was one particular small 6 year old child whom was actually among those who watched Dick’s family perform once prior to the invasion. Had he been raised in America, he would be named Timothy Drake. As of the time Dick finds him, Tim has only a mother left as his father was among those executed by the Germans and his Mother was also captured as a war prize. With Tim by his side, his acrobatics, his desire for justice and hoping to find their mothers by the time this war finally ends, Dick begins his long, strange and painful journey with one single mission in his mind, the common mission for all who resist these invaders to their Motherland: Not One Step Backwards.
Now then Fanfic Writers, This prompt is yours. The ball is in your court

Yemeni Armed Forces: September 15th Telegram
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The Almighty said: "O Prophet, strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination." This is the Truth of Allah, the Almighty. In support of the oppressed Palestinian people and its fighters, The missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces, with the help of Allah Almighty, carried out a qualitative military operation targeting an "israeli" enemy military objective in the area of Yaffa in occupied Palestine. The operation was executed with a new hypersonic ballistic missile, which, by the grace of Allah, successfully reached its target. The enemy's defenses failed to intercept and counter it. The missile traveled a distance of approximately 2,040 km in 11 and a half minutes, causing fear and panic among the zionists, with more than two million zionists rushing to shelters for the first time in the history of the "israeli" enemy. This operation is part of the fifth phase and is the culmination of the efforts of the heroic missile forces, who made tremendous efforts in developing missile technology to meet the requirements and challenges of the battle against the zionist enemy, and successfully reach its target and overcoming all obstacles, including American and "israeli" interception systems on land and sea, as well as other systems. The obstacles of geography, the American-British aggression, and the surveillance, espionage, and defense systems will not prevent dear Yemen from fulfilling its religious, moral, and humanitarian duty in supporting the Palestinian people. The "israeli" enemy should expect more strikes and qualitative operations in the future, as we approach the first anniversary of the blessed October 7th operation. These operations include the response to their criminal aggression on the city of Al-Hodeidah, as well as continued support for the oppressed Palestinian people. Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs, the best Master and the best Helper. Long live Yemen, free, proud, and independent. Victory to Yemen and to all the free people of the nation. Sana’a, 12 Rabi' al-Awwal 1446 AH Corresponding to 15 September 2024 AD Issued by the Yemeni Armed Forces
Yemeni Minister of Information, Hashem Sharaf Al-Din, to Al-Mayadeen: September 15th Telegram
Yemen targets the heart of the enemy to confirm that the entity is not immune. The Yemeni Armed Forces are developing their capabilities based on the field realities and through continuous confrontation with the coalition of aggression. Yemen has managed to develop its military capabilities in various fields, and its missiles hit moving maritime targets. There are additional qualitative weapons that will be used at the appropriate time. Everything is expected, and Sayyed Al-Houthi's words were clear when he said that what is coming is greater. The entity must realize that Yemen is serious about supporting Palestine and responding to aggression against it... and we promise more. Today, we live in a state of freedom, dignity, and pride, and we are the loudest voice confronting imperialism. We are coordinating with the Axis of Resistance and are fighting the battle within a framework of continuous cooperation and coordination. The missile launch came hours after Netanyahu's statements about escalation with Lebanon. Yemen does not accept the fragmentation of the battle.
