"[S]ince Kenny is such a bad person and also his relative, Levi's a bad person himself" I love this, it totally mimics the mindset of so many people in AoT. Not only that, but in Bad Boy, too, we see people treating Levi like he's worthless because he's the son of a prostitute. These social expectations depicted in the canon AoT world could just mean that in that scene, where the company ditches Kuchel and leaves Levi to rot, they laugh, hypocritically, about Levi's relation to someone as greedy as Kenny, and his relation to his mother, shaming him overall and saying he'll grow up to amount to nothing — if he grows up at all, seeing his chances of even staying alive. Though now that I think about it, I don't think Levi would be able to say something about blood not defining family at that age, at least not for himself. He'd view himself as worthlessly as the company tells him he is, on top of how Kenny treats him later on, and on top of his relationship with Kuchel in the back drop of the brothel. He would have to know directly that Small Hange is related to the company, yet doesn't want to be, in order to say that.

Going back to the beginning, Kenny's greedy and wants power so he can have compassion, whatever that belief is. Yet he also believes that only the strong deserve to survive. Maybe he and Kuchel were born in the Underground and offered a chance, for one person, to go to the surface. We see that Kenny has his Ackerman powers, but Kuchel doesn't, and that Kenny has some sort of sympathy for Kuchel given their sibling relationship. She's weaker, she doesn't have her powers, and she's his sister, he guesses, so Kenny lets Kuchel go up to the surface out of his own moral obligation. One less thing to worry about. Later on, seduced by the lure of power and money, Kenny meets the company and exposed the price of the tea set in Kuchel's possession, thinking, "If Kuchel's strong enough now, being up on the surface and all, she can keep it. If not, what do I have to owe her anymore? I did my part."

So, indirectly, Kenny is part of the cause of Kuchel's death. Damn, the family drama is crazy with this one.

Honestly, this timeline makes no sense, I'm still vomiting ideas, lol. It's a mess. And apparently we had different thoughts on the ages, I was confused this whole time thinking we were talking about four year olds, lol. That seemed to be Levi's age when Kenny found him, that's why.

We started of with RosaGummy cooking session and girl is not happy at all (A little bit insulted lmao) that Gummy said she has surpassed Zima when it comes to cooking. I guess my headcanon about Rosa is terrible at cooking was half right.

Then they deliver said Rosa's cooked meals to medical bay(?. Her we have two people chatting with each others. One of them was Rosa's former maid. Her name is Sofia.

She was happy to meet her Mistress but then it goes south the further they talk.

So they went off to Rosa's dorm. And god fuck I don't wanna talk about it... then Zima barged in like usual she is, and you know what. THIS. MAID. BEEFED WITH HER LMAO. I know it's funny in one way but god Zima was PISSED. So they argue for a while until Rosa stopped Zima before she throws hand.

Zima left and Rosa had long, loooong talk with her former maid, saying that she had job to do in nearby village. As volunteer teacher. Her maid follows her there and God FUCK I WANT TO THROW HANDS AT HER. Rosa was being really nice to the kids there, heck one of them shyly gives her herbs as a thank you, Rosa was about to take it and the maid took it and said it is too dirty for her. Ooooh and Rosa did not like that one a bit and softly told her to piss off.

GO GET HER ASS ROSA. Anyway, Rosa apologize to the children about her and her former maid behavior and continue to teach them in peace. For a bit. We move outside to see the former maid talking to Village head who approached and ask who she is. She answer that she's Rosa's maid and it raises question to Village Head, he then begin to question if Rosa is truly noble and you know what, this maid pisses;

Rosa overheard it and told her enough is enough. She have been very patient with her, asked the Village Head if she could receive the payment, got payment, and then put it inside her purse and gives it to her maid (a bit hesitate at first). She then said :

Where was I, ah yes, after exchanging words, the maid decide to go off on a journey to find the Rostovs and deliver the news of "their daughter is still alive yadayada". Rosa, feeling a bit tired got jumpscared by Istina (while dragging Zima with her) sudden appearance. Zima told Rosa she informed the gang about what happen and Rosa thank her. Not long after that, Leto informed her that there's a big delivery for her. The piano she'd been waiting for. Girl ran off as fast as lightning after hearing that (cute). We have brief Istina teasing Zima about Rosa's behavior just now.

Keep denying it Zima, we know you care for that giant fluffy bear lady. Long short story, Zima helped her moving said piano (along with the rest of the bears ig) because she worried she'll drop them.

A moment, later they're in Rosa's room. With the piano. Rosa then raise the question.

i've always intended my lideri series to be a series of indie games (developed by yours truly, a guy who doesn't know what he's doing). my plans for it are going to be RPGMaker, simply because i'm more familiar with it and i grew up with RPGMaker games as a kid. so i guess you could say video game writing?

although, i'm very new at it and still learning. i like to do some drabbles at the side for fun and i've been meaning to write a short story about percival's youth and how he first became a knight :') there's a lot more stories in the lideri universe i have planned too and i think an anthology of them would be cool, but i have to work on the main games first....

it's currently on my pinned! but there's some i skipped over and i can elaborate more here.

LidERi means life death rebirth and its a series essentially, atm there's like, 3 connected stories ---- Dalagang Bukid/DLGBK (tl. country maiden) a prequel of sorts. it's pre-apocalypse, dystopian, psychological horror with some sci fi elements. a young woman named angela is haunted by the death of a close friend, wrongfully concluded as a suicide. knowing there's more than meets the eye, her investigations lead her to an abandoned military base in the mountains. horrors ensue, and she gets tangled in a series of events that change the course of history forever inspired by PS2 horror games like resident evil and silent hill ---- LidERi: Revelations after the events of DLGBK, a world shattering phenomenon called the Rapture takes place, wherein the fabric of realities falls apart and demons start pouring through the world, eating and consuming everything they see. eventually, people started becoming one of them, kind of like a zombie apocalypse with a catholic flair. revelations takes place hundreds of years after. humanity nearly became extinct, but the portion that survived had to fight back in order to survive, leading to the rise of a groups of people known as hunters. reinhardt de leon, a mercenary hunter, goes through a series of adventures in order to find a cure for his ailing little sister, mayumi. he's joined by a mysterious doctor he met in the woods named orion, a quiet but ruthless aswang named eve, and a brash young sharpshooter named liezel. inspired by nier replicant, bloodborne, and berserk ---- LidERi: Paradise Lost a spinoff that takes place in an alternate timeline of Revelations. the majority of the human population succumbed to the illness known as ubok (ubo + bulok, meaning cough/rot). the last bastion of humanity where the remaining population lives is a fortress city known as linawasa, ruled by a man unanimously known as "the father" mordred nazareno, a vigilante traitor-knight, believes that "the father" is the root of all evil and goes on a revenge quest in order to kill him. sir percival de galles, his best friend, is on a seperate mission tasked by the lady ninian in order to find sir lancelot, one of the father's greatest knights long presumed to be dead, with the belief that he might be humanity's last hope through the threat of extinction. their stories are intertwined and are meant to be two sides of one coin inspired by paradise lost by john milton, perlesvaus, and nier automata

i've always had something in mind for mordred and percival but always went back and forth in the kind of setting i wanted. i actually had an old retelling idea and a bunch of character designs that i ditched, lol. you might be able to see them on my old blog

but for lideri? i came up with it after playing resident evil and getting into horror games. i liked resident evil 2 and zombies so much i thought the idea of a survival horror game was really cool and i came up with the "zombie apocalypse but make it catholic" concept. and then i played nier replicant and my life took a turn, it's probably the biggest inspiration on my work, alongside berserk and bloodborne. which, at the time, i also became obsessed with.

honestly i just want to create something that i like and i want to see and thats what lideri is. it's more than that too, i'm expressing a lot of thoughts and feelings into it. they're quite complex and heavy, some of it personal, some of it to do with politics and the state of the world, it's always been kind of like a mind palace for me and i needed a way to vent out my frustrations

so? in short: i wanted to create something i like and because i needed an outlet. i hope that answers that question!

there's a lot i could mention but it's really spoilery lol. i think one i could mention is when rein meets the doctor orion/orfiel for the first time and they end up having a lot of tension going on. another is percival's first meeting with mordred, he's the "angel" that percival first meets in the forest.

oh, and the intro to paradise lost's rebellion wherein mordred gets his arm cut off in a fight with galahad lol (that's how he gets his prosthetic)

doomed yaoi in different flavors. everyone just happens to be gay and miserable. people die in a myriad of horrifying ways. there's no such thing as a good ending or bad ending, but an ending nonetheless. it's always bittersweet. live laugh love.

I love Companion Benny. I love the idea that he gets huffy-puffy and “just a little” jealous if you switch him out for another companion. He simply cannot cope with the fact that you’d toss him aside like yesterday’s trash for… what, some scribe in rags? A boring-ass first recon guy? A vaquero ghoul? (ok he thinks Raul is kinda cool actually but he won’t openly admit that)?? Benny has STORIES, baby. Interest. Intrigue. You wanna know all the juicy strip gossip? Guess what, you CANT now because you DISMISSED him. How DARE you.

Benny is VERSATILE, baby. His tagged skills are guns, melee, and unarmed. Good luck finding another companion that can do what he can. Yeah Craig “Frowns” Boone can headshot a cazador from a million yards away or whatever, *mumbling* show-off, he would’ve seen that cazador eventually *end mumbling* but Benny can shoot, stab, AND punch. Hey courier, watch this. I’m gonna punch the fuck out of this deathclaw. He does it (you gotta administer a few stimpaks) BUT HE DID IT. And he was only at half health. 400+ health honeybaby, Benny can take a few whacks from those deathclaw freaks. What was that? Showing off? Benny doesn’t have to show off, sugar plum. He’s just that good.

He also won’t complain that his feet are getting tired. Yeah he’ll complain about minor inconveniences and wants you to do something about them regardless if you realistically can or not, but at least he’ll walk miles upon miles in a day and not complain. He also won’t complain about going back to the Lucky 38. (he’ll just complain about not being able to get in there before the Courier showed up.) What, no one else complains about their feet hurting? Uhhhh BOOT-RIDERS. Silly name. But that’s how they rode the Mojave, dig? On their feet. He’s done this before. Experienced.

Damn I really wanted to see a proper Mages - Templars fight too. The cutscenes so far have been lack-luster but you bring up a very good point about human nature and it is one of the reasons why I really like the concept of the Circles in Thedas.

I am new to DA so I don't know much about previous arguments but personally, one of the major themes I noticed in DA is corruption goes hand in hand with power. Even if its wielders have good intentions, they could still pave the road to hell. Large authority organizations in DA no matter how good or noble their initial founding ideals are, they still fall due to corruption, temptation or desperation. The Grey Wardens, the Templars, the Inquisition, Orlais or Ferelden's bureaucracy... And not to mention the invidiuals like Solas, Cullen, Anders... They committed atrocities in the name of goodness and some wake up from the illusions while others still fall blindly. And it looped back to the Circle concept soooo good.

At the end of time humanity is complex. We will never have a society that is utterly good or utterly evil because that is just not in our nature. Many mages in the game expressed different views to the nature of mage, magic, possession and freedom and it was so freaking realistic. There is a Solas's (the most pro mage freedom guy) dialogue in which he said if a mage got possessed he would kill them and I found it so stupidly funny like, sure buddy I know you can but not everyone is as powerful as you. I like him but he is so blinded because of his power. What a farmer gonna do, throw a forkstick at abominations.

Now about the Templars being incompetent pussies, I truly think we as the players are missing perspectives. Lore wise they are renounced to have the best military training that is capable of going toe on toe with other nations' best military operations. I don't deny there are corruptions and weaklings in the ranks but since their main job is to keep an eye on mages who could wreck havoc easily with just thoughts and contain them securely, it's not a farfetched assumption that they have to be capable if they don't want to risk their life.

I don't understand why you said the Templar has to throw rocks if the mages are out of their proximity though. There are Templar Archers too and they mostly fight in teams with a Defender/Guard and Knight/Attacker. That's an effective small team formation. And it's not like the mages are that powerful. Their magic has limits and they are just flesh and bones too. Yeah you can shoot fireballs from your palm and freeze earth, cool now take these poison arrows to your jugular or just a good old blunt trauma force to your ribcages. And I doubt the rebel mages eat roots lol, they escaped with a bunch of resources and have money to hire mercenaries/sell swords to protect them (an effective strategy too). Not to mention the rebel mages that are actively fighting are not your average Joe. They are rabid just as the rogue Templar. There are dialogues and NPCs in game pointed out that the more peaceful mages went to Redcliff, the weaker ones wanted to stay out and while the Templars had their orders, many of them wanted to stay out of the war or figure others options too.

In DAI it's stated very clearly that the Templars actively fight with mages in Hinterland have lost their marbles. They are no more than mad dogs, attacking civilians without reason and with the demon corruption, red lyrium consumption that had been going on for a while you could understand partially why. Not to mention psychological things like Stanford Prison Experiment or some of the Templar are bad in the first place and just wanted to kill or be a religious fanatic. The rebel mages are lunatics drunk on newfound freedom plus the explosion in Conclave that escalated everything to the max. Not to mention it wiped out many of the Templar elites forces too.

Bah, I am rambling but in short I still think while there are corruption and extremists, the Templars is an effective organisation and ideal that have lost their way and need a rebuild (and not all Circles are bad, many of them have been said to run honourably). The concept of Circle is necessary and realistic too, based on a very humane reaction to such a dangerous element like magic. I like what Vivienne said about rebuilding Circle and Templar Orders. There needed to be more mages in charge with actual influence so the stigmas around magic could be lessened and bring more balance to the power scale between Templar and mages. And Templars and mages should be allowed to socialize with the other faction. The rule that prohibited them to do so is stupid and only brought out more misunderstanding hostility.

and the fucking mage circles of Dragon Age are a thing so convoluted, Gaider must've given himself hernia when he gave up with that idea.

Listen. Containing even regular, unarmed people who aren't locked in cells and can roam the place, and who outnumber you, is difficult. Especially when all you have is blades whilst your wards have innate weapon, magic, that can cook you to death on the spot long before you even see where your magical assailant even is.

The mage never even has to enter a templar's anti-magic radius. More than that, the templar has to first deploy the anti-magic radius. And idk why people are acting like when you nullify a mage's magic, they become helpless. What the hell is stopping a bunch of muted mages from mobbing each templar? Sure, there would be injuries. But like Spartacus gave a fuck. Spartacus had a goal, and by gods was he going to do what he had to do or die trying.

'b b but brainwashing and social engineering...' Mate. If that shit ever worked, every religious millionaire would be a poor man by will. As it stands, 'you can say 'money bad, millionaires bad' all you want to them, but the fact is, when you have the power that wealth offers you, there is no reason to give it away. You might even acknowledge that you're a monster, that money makes you a bad person, but in the end it just doesn't matter, you are not really beholden to the same social rules as a pauper, because you can simply buy and intimidate your way out of it all.

Bioware here really trying to make me believe that a guy who can instakill a person by simply thinking really hard wouldn't find ways to hoard lyrium until he has enough to leisurely walk through a mage tower, burning templars to death before they can even get anywhere close to magic canceling radius.

People with power and resource always rise to the top. Always. Tevinter is what realistically happens when you have a society of haves (mages) and have-nots (everybody else). History shows that the have-nots almost never rise up against the haves, at least not successfully, and before anybody brings up the French revolution... who the fuck do you think its leaders were? Who the fuck do you think funded it? Who the fuck do you think the revolution benefited the most, before it all went off the rails, as things tend to do, when you, again, give a monkey a stick and the monkey realises what he can really do with it?

God i fucking hate the dragon age oppressed mages and the stupid ass circles. I just hate it. Most blatant display of writers having been bullied nerdy kids in the past and trying to cope by acting like they only got bullied because they were too cool, because acknowledging the truth would mean realising that their pain was meaningless, and it was caused simply for shits and giggles. Having to admit that you had no power, you just had to sit there and take it, because you had no stick. You want you want your past hurt to have meaning, so you write a dumbass mage circle. Big shrug. Sure. You can do that. You can also shit your pants if you want, I ain't stopping ya. But I don't have to smell it and like it.

I have, and I did like it, but I dunno if I vibe with it as much as other people seem to do. TBF I've never loved the live action Sonic movies, they're decent enough but definitely not my favorite piece of Sonic media. That being said, this was probably my favorite out of the movies so far? They have improved a lot since the first one which is great to see.

One thing I think the movie did great was the action scenes, the coreography and animation was so fun and impactful and incredibly exciting to see! I also think the movie did a good job on selling us on Shadow's and Maria's friendship in a short period of time, that little montage of the two of them just doing a bunch of silly goofy shenanigans was really endearing. The wholesome innonsence of it all makes Maria's death hurt way more.

EXTRA spoiler, but arguably one of the things that made me the most excited in ghe movie was the post credit scene where Amy showed up LMAOOOO I've been waiting for her to show up. And I exepcted Metal Sonic to show up sooner or later in these movies, but I didn't expect a whole army of them haha but that seems like a fun idea.

Ayy for those of you who remember my initial post about the RGU-themed Picrew project, I finally have some kind of update!

I have traced/redrawn just about every hairstyle in RGU itself BUT what I really need is input on the additional hairstyles I've added. I wanted to be sure to add a few options for kinky hair, undercuts, and a couple other styles that I personally associate with the 90s <3 I tried to keep them stylistically similar to RGU so I hope that reads. Just in throwing these together I could see some looked a bit off and needed editing so gimme your thoughts pleaseeee! I'll attach 10 different hair examples, each with a combo of bangs, fwips, backs, or ponytail options which would, in the picrew, all be separate. So take into account that you could switch things around a bit too.

I also randomized the body type, eyes, mouth, and eyebrows to give y'all a little sneak peak at those too :3 If you have any specific requests for a face/emotion speak now or forever hold ur peace

cats the musical isn't bad, y'all are just mean: sincerely, a cats fan who is exhausted with having to defend her favorite show

every time one of those theater polls pops up with a show against cats the musical, it's inevitable that the other show's fans, despite cats fans never saying anything negative, decide to make really negative and rude comments towards the musical and the fans.

most of the comments always say that no one understands how anyone can like cats the musical, or how the other musical is superior, or how the other musical is so incredibly important to the fans.

a show being important to someone is extremely valid, but people who are fans of other shows seem to always forget that there is also a reason why cats the musical has fans.

so allow me to provide some reasons as to why someone might be a fan of cats the musical:

the dancing, which is incredibly athletic and impressive

the songs, which provide a way for different actors and actresses to show off their vocal prowess, and have different tempos and meanings and also, you know, include one of the most iconic Broadway songs that has ever existed

the costumes, which have specifically character-oriented designs

the countless number of non-replica productions that take different interpretations of the show, and create incredibly creative designs for costumes and sets

the amount of LGBTQIA+ coded characters and relationships that take on different interpretations based around how they are played and portrayed.

the amount of LGBTQIA+/POC actors who have portrayed characters in the musical throughout the years, many of which put their own gender/sexual identity into their portrayal of the character.

cast members who directly interact with the fandom, and who encourage fanworks and posts about the musical with excitement

the different countries that have pulled Cats the Musical into their culture, and that have allowed countless groups of fans to be able to see the show live

but you know what?

People don't have to give a reason for why they love a show. If someone is asked why they enjoy a show like, say, Newsies, or Phantom of the Opera, or Falsettos, those fans don't have to go into a deep dive defending their love of the show.

There's a type of stigma that Cats is cringey because of the costumes, or because it "doesn't have a story", which is something that people say that I always find funny, as the story of the show is described in one of the FIRST songs of the show.

If anyone ever gave a second of thought and research, they would see that the show's premise is literally sung about at the start of the show. It's something kind of important called exposition that actually happens in a lot of shows, but apparently Cats isn't allowed to have exposition.

There's also the matter of characters.

There are multiple different characters, both within the main singing cast and the ensemble, who provide fantastic layers to the show itself.

Grizabella, the outsider character who is redeemed and gets to become the Jellicle Choice, and who happens to have the aforementioned most iconic Broadway song, "Memory", a character who provides a contrast to other characters such as Victoria, who is the featured character during the Jellicle Ball

The Rum Tum Tugger, a seemingly selfish and haughty character, who also provides the song for Mr. Mistoffelees, a magical cat who is able to summon back the Jellicle Leader, Old Deuteronomy, who was kidnapped by Macavity, the antagonist of the musical.

It is a show that has so much emotion and meaning, which can be seen even on the most surface viewing. It doesn't take a genius to understand that there is a message of redemption and acceptance within the show as well.

and while i don't like using the awards Cats has been nominated for in order to discuss how impressive the musical is, because I absolutely think it doesn't need the awards to describe how amazing it is, but like... just look at the list of awards for the original London and original Broadway productions:

Cats the Musical was nominated for these awards, and won many of them, for a reason.

People don't want to admit that Cats the Musical is a good show because it is nothing like what has been on Broadway. There is a reason a lot of shows on Broadway right now are revivals, jukebox musicals, or based off of previous media. While, of course, Cats is based off of T.S. Elliot's poetry, it is done in a way that is incredibly original and unique. People are afraid of original ideas on Broadway. It's the reason why, along with Cats the Musical, Starlight Express is also seen as a weird show, because despite the fantastic music and costumes and storyline, because the actors and actresses are dressed as trains or cats, it's a weird show, and the fans are weird.

(though, as you can see above, I am NOT against revivals, jukeboxes, or media-based shows when they are done well. If you're familiar with my main blog, @tending-the-hearth, you are well aware of how much I adore the Outsiders musical, which is just one example of quite a few shows.)

I don't personally like Falsettos. On the poll putting Cats against Falsettos, I did not discuss why I disliked the show, or that it was a crime people were voting for the show.

I adore Newsies. I have a Cats/Newsies crossover fanfiction. My brother and I are obsessed with it. I love Cats more. I'm not writing on the poll that I'm disgusted people are voting for Newsies over Cats.

It is so genuinely unfortunate that, while every other musical and its fans are given love and support by the musical theater community, Cats the Musical and its fans are consistently ostracized and made fun of. (Rather ironic, considering the entire story of Cats the Musical and Grizabella's character)

You can talk about how much you love a show, or why a show is important to you, but you have to understand that for every person who loves a different show, there's someone who loves Cats the Musical for a similar reason.

Me personally? I love Cats the Musical because it's fun. It's an entertaining show with incredible music and characters. I love the show because it is the reason I've met some of my best friends in the entire world. The show got me through COVID, and some very difficult times with my mental health. It's the show I've been lucky enough to see live multiple times, with the most fantastic and kind cast. It is the show that helped me learn about the LGBTQIA+ community via the fandom, understand and become comfortable with being bisexual, and provided characters that I can identify on a personal level. It is the show that made me fall back in love with writing, and helped to create one of my most favorite OCs in the entire world.

I genuinely say that Cats the Musical saved my life.

And that's just my experience.

There are people who have had experiences with other musicals. They see the show as having saved their life, or giving them new experiences. I love that. I love seeing how musical theater has impacted the people who experience it. I think it's wonderful, and it's amazing that there are so many different shows that people can see and fall in love with.

Why are the experiences of Cats the Musical fans suddenly deemed inferior just because of the show they enjoy? Why do we, as fans, have to defend our enjoyment of a show?

You're not cool for hating on Cats the Musical.

You're not cool for hating on fans of the show.

Cats the Musical is a good show, it ran for years in London for a reason, it ran for years on Broadway for a reason, and it's STILL running in Japan for a reason.

Cats the Musical isn't bad, y'all just hate fun.
