Pontiac Grand Ville, 1971. Launched as a new flagship model for the Pontiac range built on a stretched-wheelbase version of the GM "B" platform, the Grand Ville was initially available as pillarless saloon or coupe and a convertible. All were powered by the 455ci V8 with Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. Initial sales were strong and built to a peak in 1973 but the oil crisis of late 1973 and early 1974 led to gasoline shortages, long lines at filling stations, and high fuel prices. These factors sharply cut into full-sized car sales and the Grand Ville was discontinued in 1975.

Some would say that the Dodge Dart was not a "Muscle Car", or even a "Pony Car".
The term pony car is used to refer to sporty compact cars that are usually fitted with a performance small-block V8 engine.
Muscle cars, on the other hand, were bigger than pony cars, with the mid-size chassis and a big-block V8 under their hood.
Well - I might be compelled to say that one specific Dodge Dart was the best weapon ever built by Detroit!
Was the 1968 Dodge Dart is the ultimate muscle car?
The 1968 Dodge Dart's small chassis and short wheelbase make it lighter than its siblings, and power-to-weight ratio goes a long way fast with a factory 426-CID Hemi shoehorned into the small engine bay.
80 each were produced
Performance: 0 to 60mph: 3.6 seconds
Quarter Mile: 10.50 seconds
Top Speed: 140mph
Gear Box Differential: 4:88.1

The 1959 Cadillac Coupe DeVille was manufactured in Detroit, Michigan. It was one of the most fascinating car designs of the 1950s. The car was designed by Bill Mitchell, Chuck Jordan, and Dave Holls.
The 1959 Cadillac lineup was considered to be the heyday of Cadillac. The 1959 Cadillacs had some of the most technologically advanced options of the 1950s, including air conditioning, cruise control, and a triple-carb V8.
The 1959 Cadillac Coupe DeVille was a two-door hardtop coupe with a 130 inch wheelbase. It was the most popular style of the Series 6300 DeVille line, with 21,924 sales. I GOT A NEW CAR
Everybody meet the new baby that i will never shut up about forever!

This is Clifford the Third, my new 1996 Nissan Pickup!! I probably paid too much for her but given that I live in Massachusetts and she has virtually no rust I’m okay with that lol.
So a brief history of the Nissan Pickup! These trucks were released in the US in 1985 and were sold through 1997, when they were replaced with the Frontier. They were the successor to the beloved Datsun 720, which had been in production since 1979. They are in fact just called the Pickup! They’re colloquially known as the D21 - their chassis code, and the Hardbody, because of the double walled durable construction of the trucks’ bed.

The D21 was available with a couple different engines and drivetrain layouts. Mine is a 4x4 with the KA24 motor (which it shared with the 240SX/Silvia). She’s also a King Cab, meaning she has a slightly elongated wheelbase to allow for two small inwards facing jump seats in the back of the cab. Still a two door though.

AND SHE’S A STICK! She has a 5-speed manual transmission, and it’s the best transmission i’ve ever personally had in a car. She’s my third manual, the other two being a 1999 Toyota Corolla and a 2004 Subaru WRX, both of which were great but the Corolla had a really sloppy gearbox that felt incredibly vague at times, whereas the WRX had a sportier transmission that was pretty unforgiving and stiff. This one is definitive about where each gear is, but also won’t get too jerky or loud if you shift a little early or late.
Nissan Hardbody trucks are known and loved for their durability, versatility, and simplicity. They’re super bare bones but what they do have is built remarkably well and meant to withstand lots of abuse. If they don’t rust and have basic maintenance kept up it’s not uncommon for them to go 300k+ miles with minimal issues. Mine has around 184k miles, high but manageable. She also has a few modifications from the previous owner, namely a straight piped exhaust (no muffler, just one big long aluminum tube), aftermarket bumpers and lights, locking hubs, and a small lift. The guy i bought it from had plans to make it an off-roader but had too many projects and needed to offload one to make space in his driveway.
While many people either take these off-roading or turn them into drift trucks, my plan is to bring her back to mostly stock. I’m in the process of tracking down OEM bumpers and a more typical cat-back (from the catalytic converter back) exhaust system so she’s a little less obnoxiously loud. Since i mostly just need reliable transport more than a toy and she is now my sole car, I want to just make her relatively normal. But I love her a lot and am happy to be able to share!

A Fic Writer's Guide to the 1967 Impala
Part 1: Exterior | Part 2
Click for the full-size, annotated versions of images! Unlabeled screenshots here
The given dimensions for the four-door hardtop Impala are 213.2 inches long (17.6 feet, 5.4 meters), 79.9 inches wide (6.6 feet, 2 meters), and around 55 inches tall (4.5 feet, 1.4 meters). Its wheelbase (the distance between the front and rear axles) is just shy of 10 feet. For comparison, the Impala is about three feet longer than a modern Toyota Corolla with a 1.5 foot longer wheelbase, but the same width and height. Fully loaded, it weighs easily over 2 tons and rides low to the ground. Baby is big.

Baby is a “hardtop” Impala rather than the sedan. This means it does not have a support post between the front and rear windows. The bit of trim/seal between them is part of the rear window and retracts with it when the window is rolled down. The exterior color is Tuxedo Black, and this color is still available today. It has a faint metallic finish to it due to small suspended glass particles that catch the light.
The original plates are Sedgwick County, Kansas front and rear plates with the number KAZ 2Y5 (referencing Kansas and 2005, the year the show started). After 2.19, they switch to Ohio front and rear plates with the number CNK 80Q3. When John first buys the car in 1973 in 4.03, it has a vintage rear Kansas plate with the number RPC 45P4. In 4.13 and 11.08 flashbacks to 1992 and 1997, the front and rear plates are Kansas BQN 9R3. In the djinn dream in 2.20, both plates are Kansas RMD 5H2.
The Impala has a circular driver’s side mirror, but no passenger side mirror. Between 1.01 and 3.09, it also features adjustable spotlights/searchlights on both sides. It also has two-speed chrome windshield wipers, an antennae on the front passenger’s side, and bumper guards on the front and back bumpers.

Up through episode 3.09, the Impala has chrome aftermarket Unity spotlights mounted on both sides. Mounting instructions and a up-close view of these on a fan replica can be seen here. Note that Baby's spotlights have black handles with a thin red stripe. Turn the handle to turn the spotlight's base (up/down), and twist the handle to turn and aim the light (left/right). There is a small switch under the half-sphere part of the handle that locks the light's position.
Baby's wipers have chrome arms and have two speeds, low and high. The doors feature mounted door handles with opening buttons just below them. You push in these buttons to open the door instead of pulling on the handle itself. If locking the door by pressing the door lock button on the window sill, these buttons need to be held down while closing the doors so as not to hit the physical locking mechanism.

Unique to the 1967 are these cage-style corner lamps. They are completely absent on the '66 and different on the '68. The headlights are controlled by a knob on the dash and a high beam button down in the floorboard (pushed with your foot). These come on when the parking lights are turned on. Of the two inner circular lights, the outer one is the low beam and has a low and high filament. The inner circular light is the high beam only and comes on when the floor switch is pressed. The rear lights feature the outer turn signal, center tail lights, and inner brake lights (see below).

To the best of my knowledge, Baby has 15x7 (15" diameter, 7" width) chrome steel wheels in the front and 15x8 in the back. This particular style is currently discontinued but was sold through a variety of brands under different names. The brand Cragar refers to this style as the "Super Spoke."
Outside of the in-universe book series’ fandom, four door Impalas are not sought-after or particularly “cool” classic cars. The Impala was marketed as a mid-luxury “family” car rather than something sporty or muscle-y. Other classic car buffs that Dean comes across might appreciate the way Dean has maintained the Impala for a daily driver, but not compared to a show car. They may also find the Impala underrated, but it is not a typical "dream car" the way a classic Camaro or Chevelle might be.
Without Dean, Baby would have likely ended up used for parts for other more desirable cars. This generation of Impalas is also virtually identical to other Chevrolets like Caprices and Bel Airs. Since Baby is debadged except for the “Chevrolet” on the grill, anyone who recognizes it as an Impala would be a massive nerd.
Just like Dean.

What cars would all the little characters in Helluva Boss drive?
My brain continues to rot in relation to Vivienne Medrano's wonderful hell world, so let's do the same thing we did with Hazbin Hotel and figure out what cars everyone drives!
Starting with everyone's favorite spineless jackass, Moxxie.
Moxxie has a lot of mafia backstory, so an imposing black sedan is the ideal choice. Unfortunately, Mox is too much of a dorky theater geek to drive something like a Mercedes or Cadillac, so he gets a Volvo 240
It's precisely at the correct intersection of tough and badass, but also soft and sensitive.
Next up, Millie. A country girl with a penchant for battleaxes.
She gets a Ford Bronco. Country girls make do. (Blitzø frequently asks to borrow it)
Without further ado, onto the furry bait. Loona! Everyone's favorite syphilitic goth girl.
Loona is a naïve, troubled teenager who puts on an aggressive outward appearance as a self-defense mechanism. And when a teenager is trying to find themselves? Volkswagen Golf.
Diesel.
Divesting away from the working class characters, there's my personal favorite gay recently divorced owl, Stolas!
As royalty, Stolas couldn't be seen driving around in anything as plebian as a people's car or Swedish brick, he gets the best of what Europe has to offer. A relatively new Bentley Flying Spur. It blends in well in the driveways of other Goetia family members.
Stella, Stolas' recently ex-wife, insisted forcefully that she did not want to be a passenger to Stolas.
She would much rather take her Range Rover, long wheelbase of course. Think of what people would say if she only had the standard model?
Let's see. Fortunately for us, there aren't actually that many characters in Helluva Boss, so we're nearly done already!
Fizzarolli! What a guy. Great clown and burn victim.
Fizzie didn't buy his own car, of course, His boyfriend Asmodeus bought the car for "himself", but in practice only Fizz drives it.
Fortunately, our friends at General Motors made a car that's exactly as comically exaggerated and larger than life as Fizzarolli himself. Asmodeus picked the Hummer EV because it's big and safe.
Finally! Last but far from the least, the Helluva Boss himself, Blitzø!
Unlike most of the other characters, we've actually seen Blitzø's car on the show! Multiple times, the company van driven by him is shown to be a 1980s-era first-generation Dodge Caravan
That's the main cast!
Which show do you want to see next? I've been thinking about all the digital circus characters lately, specifically how Ragatha would drive a Kia Soul.

Good news! After several months of appeals to the bureaucrats, fat cats, and showboaters at City Hall, they have approved my petition. What petition, you ask, your eyes widening in what my socialization exercise book tells me is a look of fear. It is my pedestrian petition.
You see, for the last couple years, delivery robots have been menacing Western civilization. At first, the cute little boxes on wheels would just do tiny fuck-ups. Maybe one would drive through an active crime scene, spreading blood and DNA evidence all over the place as it drove over the body. Perhaps one would adorably smash through a plate glass window of a department store, having detected a faster route to its destination.
The cops were powerless. These things had wheels, and that made them cars. And if there's one thing cops can't do, it's stop cars from behaving badly. After all, the cops drive cars, and if the cops ticket people in cars... they could accidentally ticket a cop, too. So they just held off for awhile. Awhile, that is, until my petition cleared, and By-Law 69-B: Reclassification of Pedestrians Act, was approved. This made the robots into, as you might have guessed, regular old pedestrians, like you and me.
Sure, the first week or so was a bloodbath, as law enforcement opened fire on any robot that so much as beep-booped too close to their cars. After they got tired and had a nap, though, the rest of us got to have our fun, too. For instance, I was waiting at the light the other day, when a Panera Bread-emblazoned robot was slowly toodling across the crosswalk in front of me. I immediately floored it. Working the wheel, I jagged my vehicle into a hard right turn without checking if I had the right of way, heartlessly crushing the robot to a billion pieces of high-impact polycarbonate beneath the knobby offroad tires of my long-wheelbase seven-seat SUV.
I'll never forget the pitiful moans it made as it died, nor will I forget the incredible sandwich that it contained within. And the best part is that it was free of both guilt and any legal complications, thanks to the state's tacit endorsement of vehicular manslaughter. After all, driving a car is hard enough: why add uncomfortable laws about having to look out for other road users?

1968 Oldsmobile Toronado AQC Jetway 707
Longest Station Wagon Ever: 1968 Oldsmobile Toronado AQC Jetway 707 was primarily used at airports. Based on a front wheel drive Oldsmobile Toronado platform, the American Quality Coach Jetway 707 was 28′ long with a wheelbase of 185″, had 8-doors, seated twelve to fifteen, and required twin rear axles – the first stretch limousine known to use them.
