Happy New Year & also the first Wednesday of the year!

I missed doing yearly new years art, so here is a new one for the first time in like? 4 years? And I accidentally stumbled into this banger I wanted to draw my own character that's now on Mephisto's t-shirt first but... yeah.

Neon was bored and so I proposed we look at the Hazbin Hotel cast and redesign one of em! (<-We've been planning this for a while-)

I twas assigned my favorite lil guy, Pentious, and I'm pretty happy w/ it!

His normal design is great, but it always gives me Bananna Slug vibes, so my main goal was to make him noticeably More Snake-like.

Obviously this design is mostly just me imposing my preferences, but I thought it was fun lol!

re: your tags in your reblog about how taylor hasn't felt the need to fly back to the states during the euro leg and how travis was the one to go to her during his off season and the surprise pikachu of it all for her. think there are several things that have elicited that reaction from her where she's realized no, it didn't have to be the way it was despite maybe being made to feel the opposite at the time

Yup.

Again this is probably veering close to territory I don't/shouldn't get into on main because ultimately I don't think there's anything to add and it's all stuff we'll never know.

That being said, lol, I think there's been a lot in the last year that Taylor's discovered that has made her wonder about why she felt she needed to do things the way she did, and I don't even just mean in terms of her relationship. We've all kind of seen her blossoming in ways I suspect surprised even her.

But relationship-wise, I wouldn't be surprised if the way things seem to have felt easy and secure from the start with Travis made her wonder why it couldn't have been with other people in the past (ahem) and more than a little angry for a bit about how easy it is for her current partner to be supportive in a way that comes naturally when her previous one(s)... was(were) not. Obviously I can't speak for Taylor, but I certainly would have a moment of Petty Betty-ness for a little bit.

didn't do hermit a day drawing yesterday because

- i fell asleep AT MY DESK while working on commissions, woke up after an hour having literally fallen asleep with my head on my drawing . had a piece of paper glued to my forehead

- was so exhausted i lay down on the floor after finishing working and couldn't get up for an hour

- almost fell asleep in the evening fully clothed with my jeans on

- got into pyjamas and fell asleep sat upright on my bed with all the lights on while trying to write a to do list

it is indeed entrelac! the pattern is The Landscape Shawl by Martin Up North.

idk if you've ever tried it, but even though it's technically tunisian crochet i actually find it easier tc normally is for me. my mom (who is iffy on regular crochet and definitely not into tc at all) also made (part of) one. you're only ever working with ten stitches at a time, so it's not as hard to handle as tc can be.

anyhow this is the whole thing:

(kind of. it's enormous and the full corners wouldnt fit in frame lol)

I wanna say I've tried tunisian crochet before because I definitely recognise that kinda pattern, but it's been so long I couldn't tell you a thing about it lol When I finish my thing I've started for somebody else I'll maybe try and pick it up again cause that looks really cool

(Oh yeah, I don't go through mine much cause it's underneath 2 big boxes of yarn but every so often I love the experience of "oh shit I did used to try and make quilts huh" lol)
