no reposts including twitter right? even if it’s just a screenshot?
hm, ideally yes. but if you’re sharing it within a small community with credits i don’t really mind. i get anxious when my art leaves the target audience especially when i’m not in control of it so if you’re gonna use my art for ship wars, then is a very loud and clear no.
the ‘no reposts’ is a strong ‘no reposts’ for pinterest and tiktok because i’ve seen people post my stuff out of context and attract weird comments.
you can also use my art for edits and profile pics with credits <3
#sorry if this is over complicated LOL#i’ve realised that i cant regulate everything#jut don’t let it leave the target audience and attract weird people#for eg. the mustache will. i don’t even want to know what locals on twitter might have to say about that and i don’t wanna find out#anonymous#askovna

depression is really weird actually wdym i spent 2.5 years of my life in bed
#and wdym that lifestyle changed so quickly into being out and about and an active member of the world??#very proud of myself#and i mean it wasn't that quick of a change#it was like 1.5 years primarily depression bedrotting with occasional school -> primarily depression bedrotting ->#primarily depression bedrotting with 3-9 hours of work weekly -> straight into 31+ hours school+9-12 hours work weekly#so there was somewhat of a gradual progression#but still#also wowza i wake up 7-7:30am every morning now. 1pm was an early wake up for a not so insignificant amount of time#i mean of all fundamental growth years to miss out on the ages like what 12/13-15 aren't too bad? they would suck in a different way if i#had been socially involved#anyway it's just. yea i'm proud of myself but it is a crazy lifestyle change#and even when i was deeply depressed in a horrible routine i feel like i learned a lot. how to regulate my emotions and cope well and find#the joy in everything. bc if i stayed in bed all day then i would at least be happy about the sun or whatever#and for the while of being not at school at all i WANTED to be at school i just could not find one bc our school system is so cute like tha#(basically every school is at capacity and the local school that has a guaranteed place for me would have been an all boys or girls 😭)#but i miraculously found and got into this school and miraculously made it work so well for me socially and now academically#it's also a good time to get back into school for my education bc any later and it woulda been pretty bad for all my certifications and uni#ive missed out on so much maths that its not worth it to me to try and catch up but my teacher knows that#but ive always hated maths regardless i only ever understood it for the first half of yr 7 then my attendance dropped#and after my recent exam i decided to try harder at school. but i still got an A on the exam i didn't study for!! academic weapon fr#i'm just idk thinking back to myself in the past few years#and how hopeless it all felt. but i got out of it!! i beat the depression and social anxiety and found a good place and made the most of it#and during the peak of my depression i remember i went out someplace near my old school and panicked so so badly about seeing#kids from my old school. and the friends at the time didnt really check on me when i went to shake and cry in a side street lmao#i kept the best of that friendgroup and have better friends now. but anyway now i take a bus each morning with some kids from my old school#and you see these hands? they look like they're shaking to you?#anyway yeah it's just cool i got to this point :) i really had no hope for so long but now i have a life i'm living and a future i'm build#--ing towards#which is funny i just decided some random day last november after watching some better call saul 'huh actually lawyer would b pretty cool'#and will i get there? we'll see but i do have hope now

If you're following KOSA, you should also be following state legislation, which is much more rapidly adopting tech regulation related to child safety than Congress. For reference, in 2023, 13 states adopted 23 laws related to child safety online.
Even if your locality hasn't adopted similar tech regulation, online platforms, apps, and websites are rarely operating in only some states. When regulations become patchwork, it's often easier for companies to adopt policies reflective of the most stringent regulations relevant to their service for all users, rather than try to implement different policies for users based on each user's location.
I know this because that's what happened when patchwork data privacy regulations began swelling — which is why many webites have privacy policies reflective of the GDPR that apply even to users outside of Europe. I also know this because I'm a tech lawyer — I'm the wet cat drafting policies for and advising tech and video game companies on how to navigate messy, convoluted, and patchwork US regulatory obligations.
So, when I say this is how companies are thinking about this, I mean this is how my coworkers and I have to think about this. And because the US is such a large market, this could impact users outside the US, too.
#kosa#us law#tech policy#data privacy#regulatorycompliance#sorry if i tricked you into thinking this is a fandom account#this is just my blog of twelve years#and ive seen a lot about kosa#but local us legislation is where most of the movement here is#and there is a trend towards adopting laws and regulations related to minors online#that is rapidly gaining momentum#i love being an internet lawyer but i also love the internet#and so im feeling more and more compelled to talk about how the tectonic plates are shifting fast

“No.”
“What do you mean, ‘no’, Assassin?”
“I mean what I said.”
Kirei should be mad. Should feel ire, should feel slighted at the fact that his Servant, a mass of mana who donned flesh and blood like a costume and was bound to him, was defying him. And yet, he feels nothing. Not even exasperation as the red-haired man before him flipped through a magecraft text sitting on the table before them.
When Kirei summoned Assassin as his Servant, he would be lying if he stated he hadn't been he had been expecting dark cloaks and a masked face, like every other Assassin from the Grail Wars recorded before. Instead, he got something… loud and garish.
Something red.
Assassin was not a typical assassin and refused to give his name.
Red clothes, red hair, red makeup, and Chinese in origin… he couldn’t place them— but he knew he was not one of the many hashashin who had come before him.
Granted, Kirie's… grasp on Chinese Assassins was lacking. He could name a few who were important to history, but there was no way this one was any of them. Too flashy, too comfortable in a modern atmosphere, and he had laughed when Kirei asked if he was the famed Jing Ke or Yan Qing.
And rather loudly at that.
Assassin was something of a mystery, despite his loud appearance and actions. The Servant was much bolder than one would think an Assassin would be, actively moving about the Tohsaka house before Tokiomi summoned the Archer Gilgamesh. So much so that Rin had asked Kirei about the “Redheaded Mister” more than once because he would help Aoi with cooking and she liked his cooking.
Again, another weird point that tied back to that ease of comfort in a more modern world. Assassin easily navigated the kitchen stove and radio— and while he knew that Servants were granted knowledge of the Modern world from the Grail, it was still odd. The familiarity wasn't that of a man who knew in the sense of having been told, but one who moved with the sense of having used one before.
Nonetheless, the fact remained that Assassin was a mystery despite how much he interacted with ease and talked to the Tohsaka family and him. Kirei would've assumed that, because of that, the Servant would have no qualms, however. It wasn't as if the man got attached— had he?
“What you’re asking of me is something that is… distasteful,” Assassin continued, seemingly unaware or perhaps uncaring that Kirei was at a loss. “I may be an Assassin but I am no idiot, though you might be."
Dark eyes met his own, reflecting the candles that adorned the walls. He was deadly serious, Kirei realized. And again, he was startled at the sheer amount of nothing he felt. He should feel annoyed, at least a little bit.
Tokiomi’s plan was already falling apart.
“Are you not my Servant?” He found himself asking and Assassin snorted, closing the book with a snap.
“You might be my Master, Kotomine Kirei, but that’s in name only. I will consider your orders, and ruminate on them, but that is all. If I act or not is my choice and mine alone,” Assassin said simply, not looking at Kirei again as he set the book down. “Feel free to use your command seals, though I can assure you, there’s only so far that will take you in this war."
#also ive never written FZero Kirei before I have no idea how he'd act in this situation but I bet he's baffled#local priest has issues regulating and feeling emotions until Chinese assassin calls him stupid more news at 12#Li Shuwen said 'actually this is stupid and so are you'#'hey assassin kill him' 'uh nah' 'tf u mean nah'#this is a somewhat canon plot point but Li Shuwen (Lancer) can apparently resist command seals to an extent#we dont get to see how much of an extent that is in Fate/Koha Ace because Caren gets injured and thus izo broke the promise he made to Li#so Li was allowed to attack then#however he resisted Caren's order to attack despite Li Shuwen promising he would not so long as Izo and his Master promised not to harm her#fate#fgo#fate grand order#fate zero#wip#li shuwen#kirei kotomine#fgo li shuwen#fate extra#fate extella#Never Meet Your Heroes AU

Equestrian Forms for "A Snake in Horseland"
Since the Arle Arc's nearing its climax I figure I should have these ready. Just focusing in species/Pony Tribe for now, I can figure out cutie marks and shit later.
The Crew (plus Antivirus, Mira and Amy because of course they'd come for this)
Mario and Luigi: Earth Ponies
3 and 4: Unicorns
Meggy: Hippogriff (doesn't have the ability to shift to seapony form)
Bob: Changeling (doesn't quite get the hang of transforming at first)
Boopkins: Dragon (barely looks any different tbh)
Saiko: Unicorn (specifically she has similar proportions to pre-curse Mistmane, including the long curved horn, but more muscular)
Tari: Pegasus
Melony: Alicorn (if you think she wouldn't be one given her abilities you're lying to yourself)
Juliano: Earth Pony
Toad (of course he's here they're trying to save his current house guest): Equestria doesn't know what tf to do with a talking mushroom and leaves him the same
Domain and Forum: Earth Ponies (since they're based on Mario)
Emulator: Unicorn
Antivirus: Changes back to his normal form before anyone can see
Mira: Griffon
Amy: Earth Pony
The Kids Note: not all of them are here because they were kind of on a time crunch for following Ozzy
Lil Coding: You'd think he wouldn't change since there's cat people in FiM (at least if you've seen the movie and comics) but they have specific proportions so there is still a change
Lily: Siren (so, Seapony but she also has a genstone lodged in the base of her neck)
Haltmann Triplets: Earth Ponies (since Elanore is mostly Mario's clone and if it weren't for their hairstyles and outfits Hex and Vee would be Elanore recolors)
Barney: Equestria has even less idea what to do with a robot than a mushroom so there's no change
Fever Quartet Like Sig would leave one of his bug-finding buddies hanging
Amitie: Pegasus
Raffina: Earth Pony
Klug: Unicorn
Sig: Pegasus, but his demon arm manifests as a red bat-like wing
The Anchors (and necessary tagalongs)
Link: Earth Pony
Doc: Domestic rodents already exist in Equestria
Frida: Deer
Timmy: Unicorn
Cosmo and Wanda: Already natural shapeshifters. They initially end up as Breezies but retain all their usual abilities so it's mostly just yet another disguise rather than replacing their usual default forms
Rodney: Earth Pony in base form, Alicorn in Champion form
Mina: Pegasus
Harmony: Her status as Spirit of Heart trumps Equestria's Mirror Magic. No change.
Syndicate Scouting Team
Mr. Crocker: Earth Pony
Vlad/Plasmius: Unicorn/Ghost Unicorn with fake-but-functional bat wings replacing his cape so he looks like a vampiric Alicorn
Vaati: Initially a Breezie Because Picori, quickly changes into a Unicorn
Lokoko: The biggest most ethereal damn deer you ever did see
Admin Gohma: Changeling Queen (has the proportions and more dragon-like eyes of Chrysalis but the bright colors and solid, less zombie-like build of the reformed changelings)
And then I've already said that Ozymandias ends up as a Dragon and Kirin and Garyboy ends up as a Pegasus in my post where I came up with them ending up in Equestria.
#smg4 ocs#a snake in horseland#the pony arc#the grid#meme regulation units#mlp fim#not tagging the characters because there's too many for tumbr's tag limit#not saying what root would end up as since she spends most of the arc not technically existing anymore and i want it to be a surprise#mina and harmony had to come along or else rodney wouldn't really be able to do all that much#i kind of like how the only two who end up as actual alicorns are the ones transformed by legendary magical artifacts#technically if the robot in question were more of an android they'd probaby end up as a pony(or other relevant species)-shaped robot#but barney is not so a clank-lookalike he shall stay#if 3 and 4 were still recolors they'd have ended up as earth ponies like mario and the usbs#if you're worried about the ridiculous amount of characters (especially if you take the locals into account)...#so am i lol

the uv stage lights making people go blind thing is making me wonder about exactly what kind of shitty situation is going on with their techs. because as a lighting tech who works with IATSE and knows people who have been doing this kind of conference and event work for years i have no idea how that might’ve even happened.
like obviously they weren’t hiring union workers it’s a crypto event but they had riggers and electricians from somewhere. most likely the lowest bidder. the amount of incompetence going on from everyone involved here is astounding. don’t get me wrong i’ve heard my share of horror stories from this industry but never something as actively stupid and harmful as this.
it’s like hiring a guy to run your haze machine and he fills it with mustard gas
#i doubt there’s any iatse locals in hong kong but surely there’s like. regulation????#(circus music starts)#LX tag

I had a bit of realization that in Stiches Across the Eye, Jin's only interactions with sorcerers are Kenjaku and Uraume and that as far as he knows all sorcerers are queer or exist and present outside the gender binary. Since Yuuji was born in like early 2000's with the world becoming more accepting to gay rights, adoption, marriage and the internet was more accessible I can't help to think of Jin wanting Yuuji who he already knows is different to feel happy and not ashamed of either his parents or their relationship or himself so he researches a lot of things on queer parenting, letting kids express themselves on clothing and hobbies regardless of gender, probably ask Kenjaku on advice and some textbooks but milage goes on helpful * that* would go depending although I feel Jin would probably learn a few things about himself along the way.
You really could get the impression that being gnc gives you superpowers lol so far he doesn't even know what sorcerers or curses are, he just knows that Kenjaku has some supernatural abilities and Uraume is also older than they look but their version of "immortality" is different from Kenjaku's. Also, he sometimes has scary dreams. And eating meat of suspicious origins is good for your health. He's gonna find out more soon though...
Japan's improvement on LGBT rights goes at a snail pace (there's no clear anti-discrimination law for queer people and same-sex marriage is also a grey zone), but they did have some reforms in the 2000s like recognising same-sex marriages from other countries and trans people are allowed to legally change their gender since 2003 (Yuuji's birth year yay), provided they're over 22, unmarried, in the process of or post-SRS, sterile and without children under 20. At least they lowered the age to 18 recently, but you still have to be sterile (tbf where I live trans people technically have to be sterile too to change their gender and have undergone some form of medical transition, marriage status and children are unimportant tho). In everyday action things look better and there's room for exceptions, but the legal and medical situation still has room for improvement. Recently, there have been a lot of positive changes. First case of same-sex adoption happened in 2017 and they introduced a partnership family system a few months ago which could potentially work in a similar way. Among other things it will allow you to pick up your kid from school even if you aren't the biological parent and make medical decisions for the child. Japan also allows mlm to donate blood, which makes them a lot better than my home country.
I definitely think that Jin would raise Yuuji with as open a mind to these things as possible. Both because of Kenjaku, but also because it's just not in his nature to think restrictive like that due to not being straight and adhering to strict gender-roles either. He's not that well-versed and up-to-date on the lingo or has a very close connection to the local queer community (Kenjaku and Uraume don't count), but for example Kenjaku made him realise that he doesn't actually care about his partner's gender. He learned about people changing their pronouns and names too and implemented it without much trouble. Same with Kenjaku's developing dysphoria. So, I think that he knows a lot of things instinctually, but just hasn't been confronted with them before and doesn't always put it into words. Like in the recent chapter for example, where he also kinda expressed that he doesn't see an issue with two men raising a child.
If Yuuji wanted to play with dolls or wear a dress, he wouldn't think about prohibiting that because Yuuji's wishes and wellbeing come first. He might not think of challenging Yuuji to try it out, like deliberately going to the girls section in a store, but if Yuuji ran over there on his own, he wouldn't think that's weird. Since he sees his relationship with Kenjaku as relatively normal, he'd explain it that way to him too. The whole "your mother used to be a woman, currently doesn't strongly identify with any gender but that might change in the future" is really the easiest part about their family relations...
He'd definitely get more educated through Kenjaku though and be very open to learning. It would also be a good opportunity for him to find out more about them by having them tell him about their experiences with the gay community in Chengdu or hearing about the new innovative surgeries they do in Thailand for example. There's gonna be a bit more exploration of Jin's attraction & sexuality in the final chapter, particularly in regards to how he feels about Kenjaku's current vessel, which isn't a woman (spoiler but not really). Lots of new experiences waiting for him.
Not sure how helpful Kenjaku's input on the matter would be for Yuuji... just being his mother regardless of gender identity already tells him enough as is and I don't think Yuuji needs much explanation from them anyway (I think most children are pretty quick on understanding these things unless they had a very conservative upbringing). I'm sure Kenjaku would still gladly give him a rundown of Japan's entire LGBT+ history. Now that will confuse him 😅
Btw, I think Wasuke has a similar attitude towards queer people & topics as Jin, he's just a little more steeped in tradition. So for example, his default thinking is that Jin will obviously seek out a relationship with a woman because the existence of gay people isn't really at the forefront of his mind, Jin already had a longterm relationship with a woman and even though Jin had some tentative gay feelings as a teenager, he never explored them due to already being in love with Kaori and definitely never told his father about it (as you can tell emotional talks aren't really their strong-suit). But if Jin had gotten into a relationship with some nice guy after Kaori's death, Wasuke wouldn't have had much of a problem with it. He'd be worried because of the risk of HIV and all the horror stories you'd hear about it on the news around that time, but he'd have no problem with the relationship itself. Maybe he'd be a bit surprised, but that's all. The problem he has with Kenjaku is more their abuse of his family members, not their gender. If Kenjaku had turned out to be a sweet, innocent little brain, he'd still be freaked out by the whole possession thing, but have less of a problem with their relationship with Jin.
#asks#itadori jin#btw this is specific to Stitches I can think of many scenarios where Jin would already be more informed about queer topics#like with my trans!Kaori hc he'd have a much closer connection to the local queer community and be informed about current regulations#he'd help and support Kaori in her transition#and have a clearer understanding of his sexuality too since he'd be challenged to question it much earlier in life

like i think that we really really really need to actually gain the social literacy and compassion to understand that. not tipping your server isn’t praxis, but the fact that it’s expected that the customer pay the wage of the server also doesn’t mean that the customer (often also stiffed and a victim of wage theft) isn’t obligated to do so, and that while this is within our own economic system a great injustice and act of violence that needs to be rectified, it is in fact not the greatest injustice in the world and seeing people comparing getting screamed at for war crimes to not being tipped demonstrates a drastic lack of any sense of proportion. this is me speaking as both a service worker and someone engaged in organizing. let me be absolutely clear that I am not saying that not tipping your server is praxis. if you are able to tip i think that you should. i also think that “it’s the social contract in america to tip your server” needs to be read as “the structure has been built so that resisting it is tantamount to being a class traitor, and there are no winners in this situation”. i make less than 1k a month. tipping at 15% is straight up not viable all of the time if i want to pay rent. that’s not praxis, that’s me trying to keep a roof over my head, same as the service worker who i can’t always tip. so much analysis of this matter on social media tends to boil down to brute utilitarianism that causes further fragementation among the working class, and not for unjust reasons.
but just as not tipping my server isn’t praxis, tipping my server also isn’t praxis. not because it doesn’t help the individual (it does) but because it functionally validates the extant system in which the customer directly pays the wages. especially in the digital age: whereas cash tips are often considered nontaxable income, digital tips are administered as directly taxable income by the employer. when tips are paid out as wages i think it’s a little unfair to consider them to be “gratuities”.
again: not tipping isn’t praxis, but i wonder often about how many people who parrot this point are engaged in labour organizing or support in any way other than tipping. everyone deserves to be paid for their labour. but likewise, putting the onus on the working class customer to do so doesn’t actually help anyone except for the employer.
if you’re getting pissed at other working-class people for not tipping high numbers, especially impoverished and/or marginalized people, i hope that you are also engaged in literally any form at all, no matter how intense or dedicated, to any kind of action or organization that supports increasing minimum wage and shifting this responsibility from the customer to the employer (i.e. working class to owning class).
#vent of sorts#i keep seeing that post about ''not tipping your server isn't praxis'' with the addition of#''i was a server who got yelled at by a european for being american at an american tourist memorial for 9/11 because of the iraq war''#and again i say this in a sense that isn't meant to diminish the legitimate trauma of service work#trauma in a very genuine sense#(brief reminder that this is what the term ''emotional labour'' was coined to describe is being expected to regulate and perform emotions#for your job but only being paid minimum wage because the only ''labour'' you're doing is physical/mental and keeping a smile while being#berated isn't ''labour'')#but without directly comparing and weighing traumas and experiences in order to invalidate another#i'm so tired of seeing ''not tipping your server doesn't help anyone'' specifically being backed up by the idea#that tipping and paying into the tipping model (no pun intended) is a morally neutral or net-positive action#without actually considering the widespread consequences of tipping culture as a whole on labour wages and employee rights#of course not tipping isn't going to solve anything#nothing is solved on an individualist level#but the idea that NOT tipping is a non-solution that individuals take#being refuted by the idea that tipping as a buffer that individuals engage in#rather than it leading into any discussion about organizing#is absolutely fucking infuriating#because believe me i WANT to tip servers i WANT to make sure that everyone is paid#but if i walk into a local brewpub and buy a beer at the isolated beer shop next door by a till worker i am prompted to tip as if it were#a full service establishment and transaction#and i think that is evidence enough that tipping is not a ''thank you'' to your server but rather the employer offloading the expectation#of paying their employees proper wages onto the customer#anyways as ever the solution isn't individual action but collective organizing and community support#if you're going to tip then tip in cash and if you're not going to tip then be as kind as possible#and if you're acting as if tipping your server is the ONLY morally correct action in this situation then please#look around at your local community organizations and labour organizations and housing organizations instead of yelling online at people#who often are not being paid enough to be able to pay rent let alone pay another person's wages#mutual aid is great and important but i straight up don't consider it ''mutual aid'' if it's filtered through an employer's income

Now that I’m an adult and I have to take myself to the doctor I just treat myself like a feral little animal afterwards. Yes, that was hard. Have a little treat. Yeah, go immerse yourself in comfort, you had a hard day, someone looked in your ears.
#ramblies#it’s probably all the medical trauma of my youth and negligence I’ve experienced as an adult but it just wiped me out#talked about maybe getting a hysterectomy or an IUD#hormones in the past have been tough but the iud ones regulate at a low local dose rather than a system wide thing#sounds like they suck to put in so that’s rough#a hysterectomy would be nice in that I never want to bleed ever again and I’ll never use it but the surgery is a little scarier#and also can have side effects I guess
