Samhain Reading, October 31, 2023
Samhain Blessings to all of you! Quite frankly, I love this reading. I am truly proud of all of you. You are strong. 2023 has been a difficult year for many people. Your struggles are revealing insights about you, those around you, people, and life. You are growing stronger.
The Murder of Crows Tarot deck was chosen for this reading... just because... And... the reading...
Three of Swords (reversed), Six of Pentacles, Eight of Wands
Bottom of the Deck: The Hanged Man
What caused you pain could not destroy you. The Three of Swords Reversed indicates that there is a light at the end of that tunnel, and that you are healing--healing the heart, healing the mind... During your time in limbo, you've grown from your experiences and the insights you've gleaned (The Hanged Man). This insight and experience put in a position where you can help others, if you feel called to do so. You have much to share, and what you choose to share and how is your choice (intuition is key here). You are also in a place where you are prepared to receive. This could come in the form of a material gift, time, resources, possibly knowledge. The Eight of Wands indicates that you will be able to move forward more quickly, that healing and growth will come more quickly.
This is a collective reading, so take only what resonates. And as always, thank you for reading.
Cards: Murder of Crows
Artist: Corrado Roi
Hail Loki! I love You always!
Hail Lucifer! I love You always!

A tarot cloth is more than just for aesthetics.
Tumblr media
First and foremost, its purpose is to protect your cards from residual dirt on your reading surface.
Additionally, it makes it easier for you to pick up your cards during and after a reading, as opposed to when the cards are lying directly on a wooden, metal or glass table, where most cardstocks tend to stick rather well. This translates to less micro-marks made by your nails on the edges of your cards.
The cleaner your cards are and the gentler your hands are with them, the longer they last in near-pristine condition.
That is it for the practical side.
On a more spiritual level, using a tarot cloth shows respect.
That is why altars have cloths too. It shows esteem for the religious figurines that are placed on top of them.
In some parts of Asia, there are even babies and young girls whose feet are not allowed to the touch the ground. Same principle: The idea of there needing to be a division between what is sacred and what is mundane.
So for someone like me who believes tarot to be sacred, not by make, but by use… it is absolutely necessary to have a tarot cloth.
But each deck does not need its own. I have about a hundred, and own only eight cloths.
I recommend velvet over silk. Silk is too smooth that the cards love to slide around on it. And if you have long nails like I do, you will find that velvet is the best choice for you.
I replace and wash a tarot cloth only once a month. It is too fragile for more than that. But I lint-roll it before every use, to remove any microparticles.
Lo Scarabeo sells the best ones. But you can always make your own.

Ehm... hi...
Two tinghs... I worked like a crazy for months and made my first important artistic achievment, a tarot deck called Once Upon a Time Tarot (Lo Scarabeo editions, you can google it if you're curious to see what I did while I was gone)
The other thing is... it's still hard for me to put it into words... I had to leave my home and the life I was building to come back to my home town and take care of my invalid (both phisically and mentally) maternal grandmother, since she's too poor for a nursing home and I'm the only one in the family that can actually work from home. And well... let's just say that I had good reasons to go low contact with my relatives. I'm still a little scared to write about my life because I don't want them to find out my vulnerabilities and give me a harder time, but luckily they don't speak english. And I'm far away from the people I love, they are suffering because of health, mobbing and family problems, I can't do anything for them and I'm feeling so useless... not a very good time for my depression... ^^;
I was really hoping to make my great news announcement, I had a lot of plans for this year, but everithing went upside down...
I'm still trying my best, I found some jobs as a colorist for french editors, I really don't want to give up, even if I'm so tired and my hands are trembling.
If you read all of this, thank you so much for your time.

What Does The Deck Say? July 30, 2024
Tumblr media
"While your ability to discard that which does not (immediately) matter to you has been good for helping you keep your focus in your work, it has been bad in that discarding possibilities has prevented you from considering if you are making progress in a healthy way, or if you are making progress for the sake of making progress. Taking a stop to consider your actions and the consequences of your actions is not a bad thing, even though doing so will lead to the undoing of most of your current progress. It will prepare you to take a fresh look at what you are doing and what you think you want to accomplish. Reevaluating your goals is not the same as giving up, it is a healthy and mature action to take that will lead you to a better ending."
The Fey Tarot is the work of Mara Aghem. While the card names mostly track conventional tarot naming, the scenes differ from Pamela Coleman Smith’s renditions. Not all minors display the full pip count of their number. Rather, the scenes are meant to evoke the intuition of the reader rather than depend on long lists of regurgitated meanings. The Fey Tarot is ©Lo Scarabeo.
“What Does The Deck Say” is a weekday series of 3 card pulls from a cartomancy deck. No context or query is given to frame what the cards say as the posts are reading samples and not personal instruction. The result is sometimes humorous, sometimes serious, and usually surprising. All readers are invited to leave a comment about what they perceive in the random spread as each person will interact with the cards in their own way.
Personalized, direct, and private cartomancy readings are available via Ko-Fi: Noxporium.

Deck is: "Tarot Of The Vampires" -Charles Harrington
If World Of Darkness Ever Made A VTM Tarot Deck, I feel This would be very Similar in style
^Bonus points, this deck includes Vampires who represent Androgyny and POC (not many but you guys might enjoy the inclusion nonetheless)
"Gothic Tarot Of Vampires" By Lo Scarabeo Gives Me VTR vibes as well
^As Far As I remember, This deck does Not include what is mentioned above, However This Deck Is Old now so inclusion wasn't the biggest focus of its time, very aesthetic for anyone who wants their vampires more bloody and feral though as it includes a few of those (and some nude vamps, heads up!)
more of these two decks & reviewing on my youtube:

Could you recommend any tarot, oracle, or cartomancy decks that are small? Around playing card sized or smaller, I’ve got a couple decks that are difficult to shuffle cause my hands are smol
Bonus for anything plant/mushroom/crystal centered!
hello!! here are a few but i’m sure there’s more out there!
any of the tarot in a tin decks that are available on amazon! they’re just about regular playing card size
between the worlds oracle is also playing card sized and available on amazon! it’s a lovely oracle deck
i know that lo scarabeo makes miniature versions of their decks so if you go to their website you’ll probably be able to find some!
uhhhh i know kim krans has mini tin versions of one of her oracle decks and one of her tarot decks as well! ((also on amazon))
i think if you search up mini decks on amazon a few legitimate decks should pop up! but be sure to be careful with that bc some people sell plagiarized decks on amazon which sucks

Blessed Samhain!
I felt called to work with the Murder of Crows Tarot deck (artist: Corrado Roi) this evening. It seemed appropriate for Samhain. After all, crows are associated with the underworld and deities associated with death. The crow is also a trickster. I associate crows with both Loki and Lucifer (note: this is my UPG and I'm not going to delve too deeply into that discussion in this post).
I also felt called to work with this deck because I really love the deck.
Now for the reading.
The Tower, Six of Swords, and The Devil
Bottom of the Deck: Ten of Swords
At least one major collapse is coming, if it hasn't already started. It's time to move on from a toxic situation in your life. The energy of the Ten of Swords is backstabbing, betrayal, defeat, etc. And like The Tower, it signifies a time of transition. Regardless of the situation, the message is clear. It's time to move on.
Alternative message: I posted weeks ago about The Devil card and wanted to mention this interpretation of the reading. Some of you are being called to a different path. Possibly a darker path (the Six of Swords in this deck makes me think of a journey to the underworld and the Devil card seems to be confirming a darker path). Something you have been doing was working in the past but no longer serves you, leaving you feeling betrayed. (I mentioned major collapses.) Either way, it's time to embrace your darkness more fully.
Honestly, I'm not sure how many that second message will resonate with, but I'm including it because someone needs to see it.
This is s a collective reading. Take only what resonates. And as always, thank you for reading.
Hail Loki! I love You!
Hail Lucifer! I love You!

Does your tarot deck trigger you?
Do the cards' images bring out some painful memories?
The urgent solution would be to use a different deck.
I recommend the After Tarot by Lo Scarabeo. Each card shows the author’s version of what happened moments after the scenarios in the Rider-Waite.
The broken heart in the Three of Swords is now bandaged and ready to heal.
The corpse in the Ten of Swords is now being carried to its final resting place.
The Hanged Man is now drinking water, offered to him by a good Samaritan.
Most harsh cards are made softer. But they still retain the depth of the original material. The concept is lovely, and my own copy is very dear to me.
But the ultimate solution I would offer is meditation.
Tarot, in my faith, is an instrument of the divine to help us become the best we can be. So it would be best that we are not fearful of or repulsed by any card in our deck. Not even by the challenging ones like The Devil and Death.
The aim of meditating is to acknowledge your pain and realize why it is there in the first place. Doing so is always the first step to letting go.
I would advise that you, or whoever is facing this difficulty, take the time to…
Retreat to a private place, where you can feel completely safe.
If you can, dim the lights, turn up the air conditioner, or play an instrumental song to help calm your soul.
Hold the card in your hand… and just look at it.
Be vulnerable. Ask yourself why the imagery or the meaning upsets you.
Does it remind you of the death of a loved one? An illness you suffered? An abuse you survived?
If you feel like crying or even screaming, go ahead… You are surrounded by energy that only wants to help you… Your deck exists to serve you.
It may need to be done more than once. Maybe every night for a whole week.
Or until you can look at the card without feeling a heaviness in your heart. 🌹

There are no rules when it comes to tarot decks except that you should never trust Lo Scarabeo to design a tarot deck that is culturally specific but especially if that culture is not European and honestly I'm not so sure about that either.
