With Riley's interest in music and future college degree in media management, she eventually interns with and becomes friends with Lisa Valentine. They first meet at HWU when Riley goes to visit. She's not necessarily close to Hunt or Alex, but they definitely have met. I think she would have gotten their autographs for Molly (who has yet to stop screaming about it).

A few months ago I wrote about Lisa changing styles every 6 months and I've been meaning to draw a timeline for it. So here it is:

Identity, agency, control, and finding yourself (or not) are huge themes on this account. And I think Lisa fits into it quite nicely, especially when you take in account her relationship to Claire. I've written a little about them here. They have lots of parallels, both in regards to their parents and in their #FreedomEra, and also in how they're just trying to figure out how to navigate in a very hostile world. Claire sees a lot of herself in Lisa. Lisa looks up a lot to Claire. This situation is simultaneously very good and very bad! More under the cut.

In my timeline, Lisa is 18 years old when she first meets Claire in 2014. This is the canon meeting: she wants to break free from her child star image as she's planning a comeback. I haven't changed that (though I have changed Claire's role in it; she just stars in the MV and it has nothing to do with the academic probation). They then become friends.

I have chosen to identify just the "beginning" and the "end" points of the timeline because 1. I don't think it's something very Solid as she would be trying out many different things; 2. I had originally taken my post in a Very Literal Way and divided her style changes Every Six Months but, um, refer to point number one; and 3. I think those are the most relevant points in the story.

I tried to design these outfits thinking of her "last"/canon outfit and how she'd incorporate something from every phase she had; in a way, becoming Lisa.

So, you have her alt/Tumblr girl era in 2014. Nothing too bold (her mom wouldn't like it, I presume.) Then, she moves out of her mother's house and into Claire's dorm. After a while, she went from rockabilly into baby bat. I think Addi and Claire had so much fun helping Lisa style her outfits in the short period they lived together.

Her boho chic outfit is very much inspired by Miley Cyrus (as is her character as a whole, of course). By the way, Claire told her NOT to bleach her (box dye) black hair and she did NOT listen and that's how she ended up with that... thing. It's okay, she made it work. And at last, their canon outfit.

I think I can write more about Lisa, her relationship with Claire, her self-discovery journey, and everything else, so feel free to ask me anything if you'd like!
