Can we please pour one out for the Jerichos?
Both Jerico Soberanis (Arc of a Scythe series by Neal Shusterman) and Jericho Northwood (The Last Magician series by Lisa Maxwell) unapologetically kick ass and take names in their respective stories. Both die (and technically survive the end of the story) protecting the female protagonist (and none of them are romantically entangled in any way)
These two characters die to defend what she represents and out of hope for the future. For the idea that things should be different than they are and I love them both for it

Your Dream Sun Hill Staff Line Up
This will only work if we ignore the obvious problem with aging and make everyone as old as when they were onscreen for the majority of the time all at the same time (so ignoring returns and later sad deaths like Ted in the numbered episodes and people leaving the service like Rod/Yorkie etc.)
I have included those who rose through the ranks or 'acted up' onscreen in those positions as well [For example - acting Superintendent Derek Conway would be allowed to be chosen as a Superintendent, however you couldn't promote someone who hadn't been seen onscreen as that rank - say making Will Fletcher a Superintendent] It's likely that I've forgotten some so please feel free to point it out and add them in!
You obviously cannot have people in more than one position however, so unfortunately (for me!) there's no Inspector Smith, Sgt Smith and PC Smith all working at the same time!
There are no rules on the sexes of characters (ie - you don't have to have 6 PC's of each sex). The numbers are as follows...
Allowances
1 Superintendent
1 Chief Inspector
1 Detective Chief Inspector
2 Detective Inspectors
3 Detective Sergeants
10 Detective Constables
1 Inspector
3 Sergeants
12 Constables (in total)
(Initially a little bit generous on PC's and DC's allowances. I did start with 8 and 10 but it was a bit too hard for that! If we go for another round we might need to bring that down...)

Title: The Last Magician
Author: Lisa Maxwell
Series or standalone: series
Publication year: 2017
Genres: fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, science fiction
Blurb: In modern-day New York, magic is all but extinct. The remaining few who have an affinity for magic - the Mageus - live in the shadows, hiding who they are. Any Mageus who enters Manhattan becomes trapped by the Brink, a dark energy barrier that confines them to the island. Crossing it means losing their power...and often their lives. Esta is a talented thief, and she’s been raised to steal magical artefacts from the sinister Order that created the Brink. With her innate ability to manipulate time, Esta can pilfer from the past, collecting these artefacts before the Order even realises she’s there. And all of Esta’s training has been for one final job: travelling back to 1902 to steal an ancient book containing the secrets of the Order - and the Brink - before the Magician can destroy it and doom the Mageus to a hopeless future. But Old New York is a dangerous world ruled by ruthless gangs and secret societies - a world where the very air crackles with magic. Nothing is as it seems, including the Magician himself...and for Esta to save her future, she may have to betray everyone in the past.

Star Wars and Dark Crystal are only the franchise that It made you cry because Anakin Skywalker dies in Return of Jedi while his family dies in sequel of Trilogy while in Dark Crystal, the Garthim killed the Gelflings and even SkekSil the Chamberlain killed Rian and Deet that Jen and Kira remain the only Gelflings in the movie.
The actors are very great that they play the characters from Star Wars(especially in Live Action) and Dark Crystal(especially Age of Resistance) than Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Stephen Garlick and Lisa Maxwell.
Emilia Clarke was the Bond between Dark Crystal and Star Wars that She reveals at the audience that Rian and Deet are Jen's parents while Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren are Foster Parents of Ben Solo and because Anakin takes care of Ezra in Bad Batch After Revenge of the Sith.
The actors of Game of Thrones, including Nathalie Emmanuel, Ralph Ineson, Natalie Dormer and Lena Headey, while they were celebrating the 15th anniversary of Game of Thrones books since 1996, were the Key to play Gelflings in the prequel of Dark Crystal because they are more melodramatic and more great and more Shakespearean than the movie Dark Crystal.
In the Mandalorian, we see Ezra Bridger(played by Mena Massoud) and Hera Syndulla(played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead the wife of Ewan McGregor) made a drama argue about the future of Ben Solo and so Star Wars including Prequel Trilogy, Clone Wars, Rebels, Solo a star wars Story and the Mandalorian especially Live Action are more Shakespearean than original Trilogy of Star Wars and because those actors are more great than Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher while Clone Wars and Rebels are few cartoonist even the voice actors

Thoughts I had while brainstorming
okay, so I know some of you saw my post about the series' main antagonist, General Lucia Atore. I talked about how I knew her whole thing is the lack of traumatic backstory and I've always known this about her because I have spent years trying to figure out just why she thinks all of this is okay. And I gotta say, I almost cannot believe that it was Jack Gru [if its spelled some other way that's my bad, I mostly do audiobooks not print] from the Last Magician series by Lisa Maxwell. In this essay, I will ramble unprofessionally about this.
Don't get me wrong, I love a good tragic backstory [Levana from the Lunar Chronicles is among my favorites] but there's just something that feels so raw about Jack and his arc. By societal standards he has every possible advantage. He was born a citizen in 1900s New York. Hes a rich, white, cishet man. He's got all the cards compared to the other characters in the story. The catch is that he's also subject [and often enforcer] of discrimination that existed at the time. He spends the entire series trying to eradicate the immigrants who have come to America to start new lives solely for the reason that he believes, with every fiber of his being, that he is superior to them.
And I think Lucia is the same damn way. But still, she takes a different approach. Both of them are working to control something neither of them really understand and both approach it from a scientific analytical viewpoint. Jack forces control by using the information in the Aurs Arcana to eradicate the magus. Lucia however takes the deviants that nobody wants or who bear specific genetic markers to conduct dangerous experiments on them. Both of them approach this as if such things are a strict science.
What they both fail to understand is that, both for the magus and the deviants, their power is not only their identity but it is their connection to the world around them. It flows and changes and yet is constant in the same way anything else in nature is. it is just a fact of existence for them and to be without it is beyond comprehension because of how close it is to their sense of identity.
Here is also where deviants and magus differ. Magus know they have power. They can always feel their connections to the Old Magic. But deviants, as a whole, have no idea. In Utristan, babies are tested at birth for genetic markers that deviants are born with. All citizens receive a chip embedded in their arms, but deviant chips are designed to suppress that power that society considers too dangerous. This leads to the struggles newer rebels have, like Caspian, who have no idea how much of themselves was taken away from them until it's returned, simply because there was no before.

A Tumblr Community for The Bill...?
Is there any interest in creating a community for fans of The Bill to discuss and have more opportunities to interact/chat about the show almost like a forum from what it sounds like?
If you'd be interested, please like/comment/reblog this post to show your potential interest so we can all see if it would be worth attempting to create one or not.
Tumblr is beta testing a new 'community' idea [apparently not available to all as yet but should appear for most] that it says is:
Communities is a new feature in development, currently in beta testing. Our hope is to empower everyone on Tumblr to create new, dedicated spaces to connect with people over shared interests. It’s a bit like using tags but more contained, it’s a bit like having a shared blog but with more options, and it’s a bit like a group chat except it’s slower. Access to communities is not yet out to all users, and currently has incomplete support across the Tumblr mobile apps
Labs blog post
Help page post/more information
It's still in testing mode and they're asking for feedback. They state it can be a private group or more open access.
Public communities can be seen and visited by non-members, logged in or logged out. However, only the feed of posts in each community tab, and the About page, are accessible. Non-members cannot view the member list, see who reacted with what, or see community comments. Non-members with an invite can see everything a member can see, but cannot interact with anything until they accept the invitation.
Private communities cannot be seen or visited by non-members at all. The existence of a private community is not hidden, however, if someone has the URL (they’ll see a message like “this is a private community”). Non-members with an invite can see everything a member can see, but cannot interact with anything until they accept the invitation.
I wrote a tag list of every member of the cast including notable long running guests. It took FOREVER. And this is what Tumblr cuts it down to. FGS.

SHIT 😭
You are transferred into a novel you love but notice something is off. The characters are acting like a parody of themselves and you see someone you KNOW was not in the original that the world seems to love. You have the realization you were transferred to someone's self insert fanfic instead.

Character 4| Setting 5| Plot 4| Writing 3.5| Enjoyment 3.5
Rating: 4
Rating this is kind of hard for me, because as always I love the characters and the setting, but the pacing of this volume was so all over the place.
I liked this volume, I believe a lot of Esta's and Harte's timey wimey fun messed the time line up, and they try and try to fix it. This is why I love time travel to see what changes and how a small action will have a huge butterfly effect.
I really liked more of the team on 1902 and was happy to get a Logan POV chapter! I liked seeing things from his perspective. Specially him just missing modern comforts. Like flushing toilets.
Something I appreciate of Maxwell is she took in the racial problems. I liked how it dealt with an issue and Viola acting ugly towards Cela and Abel.
Also getting some Jianyu/Cela action? HEck yes! I love their dynamics, I think it was very good.
I did feel like this volume could have been split into two volumes instead of one. It just felt so smushed together. I'm hoping the next volume won't feel like this.
