Going to speak on this, in response to the anon. I am a friend of Camodiel, been supporting his art for a long while, since around 2018/2019 times. I’ve commissioned this guy, loads of times mainly my OC and he never failed to disappoint me. He’s literally good. I’ve seen his Forsaken AU, which is based on both Casino Cups and Lil Lucifer AU. An AU where the angels are banished to hell and they have to work at the casino. That’s so cool! Plus, they’re friends with Brightgoat, the original owner of Casino Cups so obviously Bright trusts in him to continue it. When I heard that Bright was stopping Casino Cups, it was sad to see them stop but it was understandable because they lost the passion, then I find out that Camodiel took the reigns of continuing it. I 100% believe he is the best option. He has a really good artstyle and he knows a lot about Casino Cups and Lil Lucifer. He has some good storytelling too and has been doing a good job so far. Seeing some anon troll, saying that his art style is “liqud ass”, disappoints me. It’s what the OP says, bashing another artist for their artstyle is so harmful and being criticized heavily about it just makes others feel horrible. We shouldn’t be like this, we need supportive to each other. Do not be like this anon. Give Camodiel love, give every artist who pours their heart and hours in making so many incredible or simple art pieces some love. Give them encouragement and support. Don’t call someone’s art “liqud ass” and that it wants to make you project vomit because that just hurts an artist.

Camodiel has been getting hate for so. Freaking. Long. Aren’t you guys done being jerks yet???? You should never bash another artist for their art style. It’s incredibly harmful, and it feels horrible to have your art style compared/criticized for not being good enough.

And you know what’s funny? If i DID continue casino cups, or if any other artist did, they would still get hate for it and people like you would still call the style liquid ass.

When you wake up, you can’t see, you start struggling, only to find that you’re strapped down, to a chair maybe. My ass hurts, and it smells like blood in here. You stay quiet hoping there not in the room. But as soon as you think that, you start listening, only to be proven wrong, there’s breathing, a lot of breathing, sounds like at lease 5 people. All standing, four in each courner, one in front of me, at least a few feet.

“We know you’re awake darling.” The man in front of you, with the british accent says taking a few steps forward. “We finally found you Mrs. Natasha Romanoff, we’ve only been trying for YEARS!!! He screams, ripping the bag off your head.

When your eyes finally adjust to the light, you see a finely dressed man standing in front of you, with a guard in ever courner. I guess I was right… shit. “ I’m sorry i dont know who Natasha Romanoff is, or who the hell you are, or what the hell I’m doing here.” You say, trying to stay calm. Kinda failing at staying calm, think happy thoughts, kittens, books, ice cream, Matt Smith… Matt Smith… stay focused!!

When the slap came it was sharp, it hurt a lot at first, then it just stung, it made your head jerk to the side. Owwwwww….. ok that hurt, i haven’t missed this.

“You really should focus Mrs. Romanoff. Now, where is the Winter Soldier? I cleared my whole schedule for you, so i have all the time in the world.” The british man said pulling his trench coat off gingerly. Why is he wearing a trench coat? Why do all “villains” wear cool suits and coats?

“Okay, umm.. the Winter Soldier you say, umm…. he’s in New Jersey, yeah, yeah New Jersey.“ Slap!! Owww.. yep this will be soooo much fun. “I dont know who you are, and you obviously have no idea who the hell i am, So im going to let you in on a little secret.” You say, then you crook your finger, telling him to come closer. You start whispering to him. “You dont want to mess with me.” At the last word you slamed your head into his, disorienting him.

You quickly shift into your true form, a scaly violet woman, with patterns of darker purple on you, with dark black hair.

As soon as you shift your able to snake your hands put of the rope holding you to the chair. You flip backwards pit of the chair and take a defensive stance.

As soon as your ready to fight them, you feel an excruciating burning sensation in your abdomen. THEY SHOT ME!!! THOSE BASTERDS SHOT ME, WHAT THE HELL!!!! You look down at the terrible feeling in your stomach, to find a horrifying amount of hot blood pouring out of your stomach.

I’m going to die without ever saying goodbye to Lilly, or seeing the Eiffel tower, or ever falling in love. I’m going to die, without even having a first kiss. Those are the last few things you think before losing consciousness.

When you finally wake up you are strapped down to a table, in the middle of the room with trench coat guy standing a few feet away, talking to a man in a lab coat. Whats with the coats in here, seriously HYDRA. “I’m awake. And pissed.” You say trying to sit up, it doesnt work of course. “I’m guessing you’ve figured out who i am.” You say voice dripping with venom.

“Not quite my dear, who are you?”

“First of all, its rude to shoot people you don’t know, and…….. why doesn’t it hurt? What did you do?!?” You say starting to panic.

“Oh you know, just an experiment. Now answer the damn question.” He says taking a step towards you.

“Well if you really want to know. I am experiment #78660 Y/N L/N, back in hell. Hi.”

“You’re Y/N L/N?!? He says taking a step back. Ha he’s afraid, he better be, the things they taught me to do.

“The one and only. Now what do you want. And who is Natasha Romanoff?” He didnt answer of course, just smirked, said “My my do we have plans for you.” and walked away. Everybody else left the room too. You were alone. Thank god. Im so sorry mom, i know you worked so hard tp get me out, and now they found me, im so sorry…. Your thoughts were cut short by a man in a lab coat walkong in.

“Hello #78660, I will be your…. caretaker. You can call me Mr. Smith.”

“Oh hey doc. Whats up? Whats the plan today, torture, solitude, no dinner I’m guessing.”

“Actually i was planning on some happy music and dancing……………. we’re HYDRA dear. We will be starting with some experiments.” Figures.

“Bring it on doc, I’ve seen it all, and im still living, so i must be doing somthing right.” You say with a smile.

“Then obviously we’re doing somthing wrong.” He says walking to the table your on. When he reaches you he pulls a needle and a vial out of his coat. Putting the needle in the vial, he pulls back the plunger, filling it with the red liqude. “This is the blood of sombody kind of like you, his powers are exquisite. I thibk you’ll like them.” He says putting the needle into your arm and pushing diwn the plunger.

As soon as the liqude touches your blood, it feels like you’re on fire, it starts in your arm then burns up into your chest and down into your legs. AHHHHHHHHH IM GOING TO DIE, AGAIN!!!! The pain is so great you start seeing spots. “WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME!?!?!” you scream. “Don’t worry you’ll get over it, I’ll see you soon #78660.” He says as you black out from the pain. Your last thought is, I’m dying, still….

Tezos smart contracts with ReasonML, Docker and a sandboxed node

This article will walk you trough using tezos-environment-manager to implement smart contracts in ReasonML.

What will you learn?

You’ll deploy a simple Tezos smart contract written in ReasonML, using tezos-environment-manager. You’ll call the smart contract using sotez to verify the deployment. All of this will happen in a local, private and sandboxed Tezos blockchain.

What is Tezos?

Tezos is a blockchain technology, or in other words — a platform that allows you to build decentralised applications by implementing a blockchain ledger and smart contract support. You can learn more here.

Setting up Tezos Environment Manager

Tezos Environment Manager (TEM), is a toolkit for building decentralised applications and smart contracts on top of Tezos blockchain. To start a project based off TEM, you have to clone it’s source repository first:

Make sure you have docker 🐳 installed & running before running any TEM commands. ⚠️ Don’t forget to cd tezos-environment-manager as well.

After we have cloned TEM successfully, we can begin using it by selecting an environment we want to develop our contract in.

Build our docker images next, please be patient as this command will compile all the necessary tools to make our setup work. It can take several minutes to build the images.

After the images are built, we want to get going by starting a private & sandboxed tezos-node.

If everything went as expected, we’ll now have a running tezos-node, operating in private / sandboxed mode, with RPC exposed at port 18731.

Interacting with sandboxed tezos-node

In our setup, we can access the node’s RPC interface at port 18731, which is pretty useful itself, but we don’t really want to write RPC calls ourself, libraries exist to do that for us. One of the ways to interact with the node is a tezos-client. You can launch an interactive shell, with tezos-client preconfigured, using the following command:

Because this is a private sandboxed network, there really isn’t a faucet that’d give us an account with free cryptocurrency (tez), that we could use. Luckily TEM provides a command, to load up few accounts that exist on the sandboxed network and have tez that we can use.

After successful initialisation, we can try checking for known addresses again.

Hurray, we’ve got a bunch of accounts full of tez, that we can use to develop our application / smart contract!

The simple smart contract

Smart contracts are basically distributed back-end applications that are capable of storing information / executing transactions on the blockchain itself, there are costs associated with deploying and executing smart contract’s code. Let’s take a look at our very own smart contract:

Our language of choice is ReasonML, but native tezos smart contracts are written in Michelson. We’re using Liquidity, which takes our OCaml/ReasonML code and compiles it to Michelson.

ReasonML is a syntax for OCaml, it can be converted into OCaml and back pretty easily

What does our smart contract do? It stores an integer, initialized as 0. It specifies one %entry point called main. When called, it increments current storage by the amount (int) provided. For more information on how contract methods can be called, check here.

Goal of this tutorial, is purely to deploy our contract, so let’s get back on track.

In order to deploy our contract using Liquidity, we have to convert it to OCaml/Liqudity first. This is done using refmt, which comes as part of the tooling provided by reason-cli. Conversion can be done as following:

Deploying the smart contract

To deploy a smart contract, we have to forge an operation, coming from one of the known accounts / addresses we have configured in tezos-client. We have to provide a fee & initial contract’s tez amount too. Forging an operation will result in creating contract_deployment_op.bytes, that will store out op’s bytes that we need to sign.

Signing a forged operation can be done using tezos-client, and it has to be done by using the private key of an account specified as --source when the operation was forged.

We can use the above generated signature, to inject an operation into our running tezos-node

Now our operation has been injected, and we’ll have to wait until a new blockchain block is created/baked, in order to use our smart contract!

Verifying the deployment

To verify that our deployment was successful, we can check for a receipt.

Whoops! Our operation isn’t included in the blockchain yet. It is because in the sandboxed environment, we’re in charge of baking new blocks for ourselves as well, so let’s do that before we proceed.

Now we can check for if our operation has been already included in the blockchain:

Hurray! Our operation — meaning our smart contract deployment was indeed included in the newly baked block, cool huh?

Operation receipt includes one vital piece of information, which is the originated address of our smart contract, which we’ll use later on to get the current storage value.

Optional: Running the javascript/sotez example

Make sure to have a recent version of NodeJS installed in order to run this example

Within TEM’s repository there’s an examples folder, which contains a script called contract.js.

In order to run it, exit your tezos-client shell by typing exit and pressing return.

Inside the examples directory, run npm install, update your contract address in contract.js (KT1…) and run the script with npm run contract.

Hurray, you’ve successfully deployed a smart contract, and retrieved it’s current storage.
