Besides the demon kings mentioned as the sworn brothers of Wukong, and the father of Jade Faced Demon and Hu A'qi who are also mentioned as demon kings(?), what other mentions of demon kings are and which of these do the pilgrims kill?
I’m surprised you are not aware but MOST of not all the demons that the pilgrims fight are demons kings. We see that Wukong visited about 72 Demon Kings at the start and out of the 72, Wukong befriended 6 of them. A personal headcanon of mine is that there can only be 72 demons, no reason really just a good number, but that if a demon wishes to be the 'King' they must defeat the old one and take over. Such as Wukong taking down the Demon King of Havoc who was trying to take his territory and his subjects.
But here is all the Demon king they have fought.
Demon King of Confusion (混世魔王) - killed by Wukong
Bear Mountain Lord (熊山君) - escape
Black Wind King (黑風怪) - befriended with Guanyin
Yellow Wind Demon (黃風怪) - subdued for Lingji
Yellow Robe Demon (黃袍怪) - jailed
Golden Horned King (金角大王) - jailed
Silver Horned King (銀角大王) - jailed
Hu A'qi Great King Fox Number Seven (狐阿七) - killed by Bajie
Lion-Lynx Demon / Azure Lion (獅猁怪/青毛獅子) subdued for Manjusri
Red Boy (紅孩兒) befriended with Gaunyin
Tuolong Black River God (鼉龍) jailed by Crown Prince Mo'ang
King of Spiritual Touch (靈感大王) subdued for Guanyin
Single Horned Rhinoceros King (獨角兕大王) subdued for Laojun
Scorpion Demoness (蠍子精) - killed by Rooster
Princess Iron Fan (鐵扇公主) - released
Bull Demon King (牛魔王) jailed
Wansheng Dragon King (萬聖龍王) - killed by Wukong and Bajie
Yellow Brows Great King (黃眉大王) jailed for Maitreya
Great King Jupiter's Rival (賽太歲) subdued for Guanyin
Hundred-Eyed Demon Lord (百眼魔君) befriended for Pilanpo
Yellow Toothed Elephant (黃牙老象) subdued for Samantabhadra
Golden-Winged Great Peng (金翅大鵬雕) subdued for Buddha
King of the Southern Hill (南山大王) - killed by Bajie
Grand Saint of Nine Spirits (九靈元聖) subdued for Taiyi Jiuku Tainzun
King of Cold Protection (辟寒大王) - killed by celestial
King of Heat Protection (辟暑大王) killed by Bajie
King of Dust Protection (辟塵大王) killed by Bajie
That should be all at them at least that I know are Demon Kings. There could be more but the reason I didn't add these demons to the list is that I didn't see them with an army or many servants if at all. So these are more honorary mentions cause they are still powerful demons that COULD be demon kings.
White Bone demon (白骨精) - killed by Wukong
Nine-Tailed Vixen (九尾狐狸) - killed by Wukong
Nine-Headed Insect (九頭蟲) escaped capture by Erlang
White Deer Spirit (白鹿精) subdued for Old Man of the South Pole
Lady Earth Flow (地涌夫人) subdued for Nezha and King Jing
Killed - 10 Released / Escaped - 3 Jailed / Subdued for Owner - 16 Befriend - 3
I made a list a while ago of all the demons here if you need to check it out but I hope that helps!

Since last names are put first in Asian cultures, Like Sun Wukong, what would Azure Lions surname be? Azure? Or Lion? Or is is it just something in Chinese that I don’t know??
In this case, Sun Wukong is the outlier of demons since he has a traditional surname-firstname title.
Other characters in the book have very literal titles .
I've seen people accidentally assume the asian naming conventions apply to certain characters' Mandarin names, not realising that part of the name just a title.
example; people calling Princess Iron Fan "Gongzhu" because they assume her full Mandarin name "Tieshan Gongzhu" (铁扇公主/Tiěshàn Gōngzhǔ) follows the Asian naming scheme, except "Gōngzhǔ/公主" literally just means "Princess" - with "Tieshan" being more likely her personal name.
Among demons, it's more likely that they have a "public name/title" and a "family/personal name" much like people from Southern Asian communities (i.e Sikhs) who keep very similar surnames.
"Demon Bull King" may be DBK's legal title and what he prefers to be called by, but his "birthname" is likely something only his family knows (in one post I suggest his birthname was likely something akin to "Jǐn Cài Niu/"Violet Bull").
Azure Lion, being a Celestia animall, may only have the name Azure Lion.
In JTTW Azure's name is "Qingmao Shizu" or "Green-Blue-Maned Lion" (青毛狮子) and before his identity is revealed, he's referred to au the "Lion-Lynx Demon/Shī Lì Guài/獅猁怪". And being the steed/disciple of a Bodhisattva, he likely never needed a surname.
So in a scenario where Azure *needs* a surname though, I could see him just using "Lion/Shizu". He's azure-coloured, and he's a lion. Doesn't see much reason to change it. Unless he marries someone with a legal surname...

LMK VS Legend
Azure Lion:
Tumblr media
LMK:
He was a Lion Demon who previously served the Jade Emperor as a Celestial Warrior but subsequently defected to the Brotherhood, a group established by Monkey King with the aim of deposing the Jade Emperor and improving the world. He was able to escape the memory scroll with the help of an outside source. Went on a quest to finally defeat the Jade Emperor. With the help of his recently freed brothers Peng and Tusk, he was able to but was unable to handle the power. After the battle with MK and Wukong, it became too much and with the cosmos at stake, he had to make a choice.
He sadly died at the end of season 4 as a hero.
Tumblr media
JTTW:
Azure Lion / Lion- Lynx Demon He was the steed of the Bodhisattva Manjusri.
Tumblr media
Weapon a bronze saber. Powers / Abilities: Grow several times bigger or smaller than his normal size. He was first seen in the novel as the revel form of the imposter of the King of Wuji Kingdom. He was sent by Manjusri to punish the king after throwing a designed Manjusri into a river for three days to drown. He did this by designing himself as a Taoist to save the kingdom from drought, thus being made brother-in-arms with the king. He then tricked the king by throwing him into a well killing him. He was stopped three years later by the pilgrims he was mercyed from being killed by Wukong from Manjusri. He went back to the Celestial Realm as a steed.
Tumblr media
He was seen again in Camel Ridge this time a demon king. Ruling side by side with the Golden Winged Great Peng and the Yellow-Toothed Elephant Demon. Once again he fought Wukong after drafting the monkey and the Zhu Bajie multiple time the pilgrims seek help from the deities and is taken back by Manjusri.
In one of their fights: The Azure Lion swallows Sun Wukong, who causes trouble inside his stomach. The Lion then pretends to agree to open his mouth and let Sun Wukong out, but intends to bite him to death when he comes out. However, anticipating this, Sun Wukong sticks his staff out ahead of him instead and the demon breaks his teeth after biting on the staff. Sun Wukong later creates a long rope, ties it around the demon's heart, and plays with it after leaving the demon's stomach.
Legend:
It is said that he once showed up uninvited at a peach feast hosted by the Queen Mother of the West and wanted to fight for the rulership of Heaven. The Jade Emperor sent 100,000 celestial troops to capture the demon, who turned into a giant monster and devoured the entire army in one gulp.
Thoughts:
Azure doesn't have a lot of legends that I could find besides the one involving the peach festival which is kinda funny how similar that kinda sounded to Wukong minus the pills, wine, and peach eating. For the LMK universe with how the brotherhood was I don't think that earlier chapter with him as the designed king could have happened. But if it did it was either not Azure but another celestial, or it was but for a different reason, I don't see him helping the celestials test Wukong and the pilgrims.
Tumblr media
Hope you all enjoyed:)

Hey!
Did you know that in the original story azure was not only known as the “lion-lynx demon” but was also the steed of manjusri?
Also! I heard that in the original Chinese translation he was actually female! Which would kinda make sense since he’s most likely castrated and would’ve lost his mane if he was a guy.
Anyway, how would Li Jing and even azure react to this? Is it cannon within your story?
While that is HILARIOUS to think about, Azure being female would not be canon. The whole castration thing was kinda fixed after the JE died and his magic, well, magically fixed azure.
Also yes! I was aware of the first bit! Manjusri is a very happy grandparent!

LMK Wukong’s Sworn Brothers clear up
Tumblr media
For LMK fans wondering who this peeps are I just wanna make a post where I think LMK is taking Wukong’s sworn brothers
So in the original novel he has six Sworn Brothers
Female Macaque King 獼猴王
Snub Nose Monkey King (a gibbon) 禺狨王
Demon Bull King 牛魔王
Dragon Demon King 蛟魔王
Lion Demon King 獅駝王
Peng Demon King 鵬魔王
All these were brothers, who fought with him in the battle verse Heaven and there are many interpretations of how they could have had a falling out since Wukong showed preference over his own monkeys compared to the non-monkey soldiers. Only one of these brothers was seen again within the journey and that is the Demon Bull Kung. Otherwise WuKong has never addressed any other demon as his sworn brother, or claims to have known them as as such as he has done with DBK
The demons we see in the picture are as follows
Yellow Tooth Elephant king 黃牙老象
Azure Lion King/Lynx-Lion King 青毛獅子 / 獅猁怪
Golden Wing Great Peng 金翅大鵬雕
Now within the book, it is clear that these are not meant to be seen as the same demons as his brothers however, I believe LMK is going to make the creative decision to have these three demons be Wukongs sworn brothers as they are given more book time not only as villains, but I’ll give them back stories as well, allowing LMK more creative freedom to tie them with Wukongs OG Sworn brothers.
While I am sad that the original six sages are not going to be part of the series, nor will they probably be given designs, I do find this very creative and interesting, take of having future villains having personal connections with Wukong! Can’t wait to see what they do!

I am here to talk about my OCs!
Because @elianaroselight and I have talked about them so much we developed 4 RPs about them (that have been going for over a year now) and got a whole system going
Buckle up, it's long
First, there's Ju Ling's family, who now has 3 mates and 7 children (without counting the ones she lost). Her mates are Ju Jing the oni, Ri Shi and the white tiger of the west, Baihu. Her siblings are Hua and Ping, who have, respectively, the vermilion bird of the south, Zhuque, and the azure dragon of the east, Qinglong, as their mates.
Then there's Yue Shi and his mate Fengbao. Feng became friends with their doctor Jiahao, who had two twin kits that became friends (and enemies if you ask Shu) with Feng's kits. Jiahao's husband is Pingyi, who teaches sign language, and is friends with Ju Jing because he and his sister (name missing) were all at the same orphanage. Pingyi is also Cixin's teacher, Zan's adopted son. He's not mute or def but has trouble speaking and often communicates by repeating sounds or words (in the voice of the person that spoke them). Cixin and Tai Shi (one of Ju Ling's cubs) have pet ducks together.
The biological mothers of Tai Shi and the rest of the tiger cubs are Lan (who has Tai Shi, 2 tiger cubs that she lost, and Ju, a lynx cub she adopted) and An (who has Jingyi, Ling Min, Heng and Yawen) Tai Shi's dad is Qiong Qi, no one likes him. Baihu is the father of the other cubs. Depending on the AU, An and Lan are platonic mates with Ju Ling and the others and live in a huge ass house.
But anyway, Baihu is a big sweetheart who does his best to be a good baba. He loves seafood and spicy food and Ju Jing and Ri Shi very much feed into that. Lan grew a passion for gardening and plants and it was a great bonding moment for her and Ju Ling.
But anyway, all of An's cubs are adorable Jingyi likes plants and helps her moma with her garden. She even found a salamander once and wanted to keep it as a pet. Heng loves the sky and the sea, which works well with his uncle Ping, who works at an aquarium, and his yeye who used to be an astrologist. Yawen likes the sky, but specifically the clouds. He loves Wukong's nimbus and asks him to conjure it any time he comes over. And Ling Min is a little fighter that loves dragons and adores her gugu Mei.
Then there is Bai He's family. Obviously, her parents are the general Ba and Beng. Her wife is Zhi Hao, a gibbon demon the size of a wardrobe which works as a blacksmith. So you know, guaranteed thirst trap. Their children are Hua Mei, the oldest girl, Hao the only boy, and their twins Guiyin and Li Lei who is named after the empress of the kingdom of women, who Bai He is friend with.
There's also Kai Hu's group of friends! They call themselves the lost ones because Kai's cousin calls him Peter Pan. They are Chao a cat fish demon (not a catfish. a cat and fish demon), Juan a one-eyed cat demon, Fen a bunny demon, Bo the only human and Huangshu, a gibbon demon that was adopted into Kai's family and became his cousin.
And then there's Shu's group (she is one of Yue Shi and Fengbao's triplets kits), aka Lupin gang wannabe. Shu is of course Lupin, then we have Leale, a dog demon who is 100% based on Jigen, I'm not even going to hide that, and just discovered that he has 2 siblings, and Rampion, who was made as a joke with Skelle but he fits in this group of misfits. And I can't forget the Fujiko of the group, Junjie, who is also one of Jiahao's kits. The other one of Jiahao's kits is Xinyi who married Bao, Shu's second brother.
Last group that I can remember is Ling Min's family. Her mate is Hebo, a leopard gecko demon, and their adopted kids: Xu Qiu a dear and lion demon, Bian a they/them human, Hongbo an otter demon and Wuyue a baby lizard demon that Xu Qiu found in the snow

LMK OC <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
// Name: Sky // Pronouns: any // Age: around 18-20 //
She used to believe they were a normal human, but in reality they were adopted. Macaque found them one day and thought they were hiding their true nature to get something, and boy, was he surprised that Sky really was just that clueless, even with all the signs that they are a demon. But Macaque, seeing an opportunity to one up Wukong in being a mentor took Sky in, and helped them get a hold of their powers, that they repressed for all those years.
Sky is a shape-shifter demon. They can change their appearance, but can't change into animals completely, so if Sky wanted to change into them, he would still have to learn the 72 transformations. They can however change into an animal-like demon forms, and that gives them perks of said species. She likes the lynx and monkey forms the best, because they give more agility. Shape-shifting wings is possible, but harder than changing hair colour, or even a tail, since humans have a tail bone, and so do demons since some of them do have actual tails. Sky likes having a tail, and will sometimes forget to shape-shift it out. And her tail actually gets broken and doesn't heal properly (that's why it's bent) in season 3, making them unable to shape-shift it out completely any more. They can only make it change shape, and become shorter or longer.
And yeah, Sky gets possessed in season 3, and Lady Bone Demon uses them to blackmail Macaque 💅 Sky does try to fight her control, and it does throw LBD off at first, but ultimately, Sky is a pretty weak demon, who's only now getting the hang of their powers, and even shadow magic Macaque taught him wasn't much help...
So yeah, Sky's power being lower than that of most of Monkie Kid crew makes them kinda self-conscious, and things don't get better when she tries to fight Azure Lion (since she actually read the whole journey to the west and knew not to trust him) in season 4 and gets trapped in the scroll. After all that Macaque tries to keep her out of the final fight, and they get into an argument, and Macaque calls him useless by accident, and welp, Sky enters their villain era. She already wasn't in the best place, even before she meet Macaque or even MK, and well, her monkey father figure's words were the last nail in the coffin basically. I take the Lego Monkey Kid's writers lead, and give my OCs all the trauma >:)
Anyway! Hope you like my oc! U wU

This is still a WIP but I love the crew dearly. These characters' stories continue after the JTTW, where they form a group of friends who have all been wronged one way or another by The East (Jade Emperor) and/or West (Buddha) Celestial Courts. Here we have (from left to right)
Ne Zha, Third Lotus Prince and Marshal of the Central Altar (lovingly known as Heaven's Hellion)
Shancai/Red Boy, servant of Bodhisattva Guanyin and wielder of the True Samadhi Fire
The Azure Lion, also known as Lion-Lynx Demon and the former Lion Camel King
The Spirit of the Six Eared Macaque, near-omniscient Master of Illusions and Unghostly Spirit of Flower-Fruit Mountain
Sun Wukong, Great Sage; Heaven's Equal, the Monkey King, and Victorious Fighting Buddha (a title he renounced but still respects and is honoed by)
I'd love to make something out of this. I've got so many ideas in my head and I want to do designs for Longnü the Snake Dragon Girl, Guanyin, Áo Liè and many others. It would be set in the modern day with all sorts of shenanigans, heartache, self-discovery, and growth when it comes to these characters. (And also a couple characters of my own ^_^)
Every time I've planned to make a comic, animation, or animatic I never follow through or I loose interest, but hopefully I'll be able to keep this one alive. I love it a lot actually.
What would you call this? The working titles I've got are: The Journeys of the Monkey King, After the Journey to the West, and The Unwritten Journeys. Although something with "Celestials" in it would sound nice too.

ok dumb question but i still don't know what they are called so.. Do you know what they are called? (I'm talking about this trio) P.s I only know what Azure Lion is called, others don't :D
i think their names in lmk are their the azure lion, the yellow-tusked elephant and the golden-winged peng,
theyve got other names though, the azure lion (青毛獅子) can also be called the lion-lynx demon (獅猁怪) i think, and the pengs name is actually the golden-winged great peng (dapeng jinchi mingwang, 大鵬金翅明王)
if youre asking abt a name for the whole group of azure, elephant and the peng, ive been calling them the remnant godkillers in my head bc theyre the ones left, but thats just in my head

I would've done this way sooner, but I wanted to wait for all of the episodes to come out in English first before I finally did, including the special! So, without further ado, here's a summary on the villains for S4! And much like last time, I'm going off of the order they'd appeared in the book.
YELLOW ROBE DEMON (黃袍怪)
Tumblr media
I've actually technically covered Yellow Robe a few times already, but to quickly reiterate, the Pilgrims meet him after Tang Sanzang banishes Sun Wukong for him killing three supposedly innocent people (really the White Bone Spirit in disguise), he quickly incapacitates them, Pigsy goes to get Wukong back, Monkey goes to rescue Sanzang, finds out that he's actually a celestial named Kui Mulang (奎木狼) who wished to be reunited with his beloved Yunü (玉女) after they were separated upon her reincarnation as Princess Baihuaxiu (百花羞), who he had also previously kidnapped. Monkey eventually has Yellow Robe apprehended and returned to Heaven, the princess returns to her family, and Wukong happily rejoins the group.
GOLDEN WINGED GREAT PENG (金翅大鵬雕), AZURE LION, (青毛獅子), AND YELLOW TOOTHED ELEPHANT (黃牙老象)
Tumblr media
And now onto the main trio first!
Before the big confrontation with all three, Azure Lion actually appears in an earlier chapter as the Lion-Lynx Demon (獅猁怪), who had killed the ruler of the kingdom of Wuji (烏雞國) after throwing him down a well and ends up impersonating him for the next three years (cue Among Us jokes) before he's finally confronted by the Pilgrims after the king's ghost informs them of the impostor sitting on his throne. After the king's brought back to life thanks to the Lao Tzu's Pill of Immortality, the group go to expose the demon, who then disguises himself as Tang Sanzang, but it doesn't take long for his cover to be blown when he can't recite the Tight-Fillet Spell.
Before any fighting can commence, however, they're interrupted by Lion-Lynx's owner, the bodhisattva Mañjuśrī, who goes on to explain that his steed was actually meant to be an obstacle for the Pilgrims in order to test their resolve before adding that the king had actually had him tied up and thrown into a river for three days and nights, leading to Lion-Lynx seeking retribution on his master's behalf.
The next time we see him, he's residing in in Lion Camel Cave (獅駝洞) at Lion Camel Ridge (獅駝嶺) with Peng and Yellowtusk. Sun Wukong first learns about them from one of their minions, Xiaozuanfeng (小鑽風), after—say it with me now—the Pilgrims get captured! Unlike the show, however, Peng seems to be the one in charge rather than Azure. Either way, Monkey manages to call upon Ao Shun (敖順), the Dragon King of the North Sea, for assistance, but Wukong is the only one who manages to completely escape their grasp and a rumor quickly spreads that Sanzang had been eaten alive.
After mourning and blaming Buddha for this latest predicament, Monkey goes to ask the Patriarch himself for advice, which Buddha proceeds to explain that not only is the lion demon the same one he and the others had encountered before, but much like Lion-Lynx, Peng and Yellowtusk have a connection to Hinduism as well, with Yellowtusk being the steed of the bodhisattva Vivabhadra, while Peng is none other than a brother to the peacock Mahāmāyūrī, and long story short, this technically makes him and Buddha family.
For further context, to quote Anthony Yu:
Tathāgata said, “At the time when Chaos parted, Heaven opened at the epoch of Zi, Earth developed at the epoch of Chou, and Man came into existence at the epoch of Yin.
When Heaven and Earth mated,
Then myriad things were born.
The myriad things consisted of beasts and fowl: of the beasts, the unicorn was the head, and the phoenix was the head of the fowl. After having been fertilized by the aura of procreation, the phoenix also gave birth to the peacock and the great roc. When the peacock first came into the world, it was a most savage creature, able to devour humans. In fact, it could suck in a human being with one breath from a distance of some forty miles. I was on top of the Snow Mountain, having just perfected my sixteen-foot diamond body, when the peacock sucked me into his stomach. I could have escaped through his anal passage, but fearing that my body might be defiled, I cut my way out through his back and rode him back to the Spirit Mountain. I was about to take his life, but the various buddhas stopped me with the observation that to hurt the peacock would be like hurting my own mother. That was why I detained him at the mountain instead and appointed him Buddha-Mother, the Bodhisattva Mahārāja Mayūra. Since the great roc had the same parent as the peacock, it could be said that he was somewhat related to me.”
On hearing this, Pilgrim said with a smile, “Tathāgata, according to what you’ve told me, you should be regarded as the nephew of that monster-spirit!”
The three demons are then subdued by Buddha, Mañjuśrī, and Viśvabhadra, and Sanzang of course turns out to still be alive, albeit trapped in an iron chest, which Monkey quickly frees him from. The Pilgrims then carry on with their journey to the West afterwards.

… don’t you ever use a dead name…
Qing Shuai: Hm, understandable you hate that name, it’s the name the gods gave you… ‘The Lion-Lynx Demon’…Can’t be so righteous to my father if you’re just a demon can you?
Azure: Another one of Wukong’s…?
Qing Shuai: Yes…As you can see, we tend to be chaotic in nature…like our father…

Do you think you could make a list from the strongest demon king to the weakest?
Maybe Wukong's sworn brothers other than the demon bull king wouldn't be included because we never see them fight (although I understand they fought alongside Wukong when he rebelled against heaven?)
I could only give out a rough outline since I'm not really a 'power scaler' and honestly it's hard to say if by strong you mean the most difficult or if they had powerful attacks. Most of Wukong's worst fights aren't, particularly because his enemies were physically powerful but just had a strong weapon or a single powerful attack while being a glass canon.
While Wukong's sworn brothers did join the fight against heaven, their own armies were captured. Not sure if this was to reflect Wukong's favoritism toward his own monkeys or to show how his sworn brothers were outclassed but I am not even going to try to guess.
So this will be more of a list of Wukong Most DIFFICULT fights to the easiest fights.
Hurt Wukong Trapped Wukong Fought (tie) Fought (lost) Lost without Fight Never seen Fight (inconclusive) Magic Item
Red Boy - made Wukong pass out, Guanyin subdued him, glass cannon
Scorpion Demoness - poisoned Wukong, killed by Pleiades Star Offical, glass cannon
Yellow Wind Demon - make Wukong blind, he needed Lingshan's help, glass cannon
Hundred-Eyed Demon Lord - blinded Wukong momentarily, also taken out by Star Official Pleides
Golden-Winged Great Peng - Talons overpowered Wukong, was taken out by Buddha
Silver Horned King - captured Wukong due to magic spell and has magic item, was killed later though
Single Horned Rhinoceros King - very powerful magic item used, subdued by Laozi
Yellow Brows Great King - powerful magic item and needed Maitreya Buddha help to defeat
Princess Iron Fan - blew Wukong away with magic item, he needed Lingshan's help
Golden Horned King - captured Wukong due to magic items
Six Eared Macaque - tie until Buddha gave Wukong the upper hand
Bull Demon King - impressive fight but still ran away after being overwhelmed in numbers
Yellow Robe Demon - impressive fight but Wukong still needed the 28 Star's help
Nine-Headed Insect - ran away until taken out by Erlang Shen
Black Wind King - good at escaping, needed Gaunyin's help
Great Immortal King of Spiritual Touch - Gaunyin defeated in the end
Yellow Toothed Elephant - defeated Bajie, lost to Wukong
Azure Lion / Lion-Lynx Demon - defeated Wujing, lost to Wukong
Grand Saint of Nine Spirits - Wukong had Tianzun to help
King of Dust Protection - captured Bajie and Wujing
King of Heat Protection - captured Bajie and Wujing
King of Cold Protection - captured Bajie and Wujing, was killed by Bajie
Lady Earth Flow - able to slip away, needed Nezha and King's Li's help
Great King Jupiter's Rival - had a magic item but never got a chance to use against Wukong
Tuolong Black River God - his own cousin took him out but even Wujing could fight him
Python Demon
White Bone Demon - hard to pin down but killed in one blow
Spider Demons - stole Sanzang but very easy to defeat
King of the Southern Hill
Tiger Strength Great Immortal
Elk Strength Great Immortal
Antelope Strength Immortal
White Deer Spirit
Nine-Tailed Vixen
Great King Fox Number Seven
Wansheng Dragon King
Demon King of Confusion
Dragon Demon King
Peng Demon King
Lion Demon King
Female Macaque King
Snub Nose Monkey King
Bear Mountain Lord
This is my personal take on the Demon Kings and as you can see, I did include demons that aren’t technically Demon Kings but rather the main antagonist in their arc. This also doesn't include ALL the demons or any gods or immortals that Wukong has fought with either, these are just the Demon Kings (or at least demons that are the big bad in their arcs) so there are still other antagonists that are in the book on here.
I am solely going on how the fights went in my notes and what I can remember so if you remember these fights going differently and actually want to add any details please let me know. I didn't include anything that the demons like 'claim' to have or powers or feats that they have done, just what they ACTAULLY did in the story, cause actions speak louder than words.
There could be grey area with the demons with magic items. And you could argue how easily the demons that caused Wukong the most damage were easily defeated by other gods just because they could bypass their one (1) magic spell gimic that was just giving Wukong trouble. Two of these Demon Kings were taken out by the SAME ROOSTER just because they are insect demons and roosters are their natural enemies. So take that as you will... Other demons Kings were defeated just cause their owner showed up before they could really fight too.

Sooooo I just saw the poster for LMK S4 and for some reason Azure Lion/Lion Lynx Demon is in it /pos
Idk what role is he gonna have in the season (I haven't watched it yet because I'm waiting for english release) but since it's implied it's gonna be more than a one off villain makes me excited since his design is my favorite of the new characters of the current wave! Now hopefully we will have Erlang too

Azure Lion, aka Lion Lynx Demon, from Journey to the West.
This guy is a real stinker.  He killed a king, threw him down a well, and impersonated him for three years, ruling the kingdom as a tyrant.  When the pilgrims restored the dead king to life, Azure Lion then impersonated Tang Monk to try to confuse Monkey King.  He can grow to giant size and, during their battle, actually swallowed the Monkey King.

so, we get the backstories of some Journey to the West characters
Outstanding Culture is actually Bodhisattva Manjushri ( wikipedia gives 4 different names for him in Chinese characters and pinyin, so I don’t know which to give you, go to wikipedia) and  Dragon Head, the green lion, is Azure Lion (青毛獅子 - apparently Chinese characters actually mean green haired lion, curtsy of google translate)  and also Lion-Lynx Demon (not sure how he got the time to be both, but hey)
While Universal Virtue is Samantabhadra (普賢菩薩 Pǔxián Púsà) with Fairy Spiritual Teeth, the white elephant being  Yellow Toothed Elephant (黃牙老象)
