To his credit though, he did really well with LinGan Esports and Flag Gaming in Contenders China. He also isn’t head coach, unlike Boston who hired Mineral as head coach.
okay spark hear me out but i feel like if somebody’s got “coached season 1 shanghai dragons” on their resume hiring them might be a bad play

OW World Cup: Overview of teams
For the next of the September World Cup Stages, teams from Around Europe and the Pacific will Visit Bangkok, Thailand. Six groups will be competing against September 14-16 for 2 elusive places in Blizzcon in November. With many nearer games than preceding World Cup Stages, the Thailand matches may be well worth staying up for.
The host group is fighting for pleasure. Players from MEGA Esports, the very first professional Overwatch staff in Thailand, and Xavier Esports make up the Vast Majority of the Thai roster. The latter group has had success in late Contenders seasons (3rd/4th end ); the prior dropped to continue in the latest period of Pacific Contenders. Returning players such as oPuTo (DPS), Teetawat (Tank), and Pannys (Service ) are trying to redeem their group, which failed to allow it to Blizzcon this past year.
China is predicted to become a powerful competition in this year's World Cup. Returning members Leave (DPS) and Sky (Service ) are seeking to replicate last year's successes. Throughout the 2017 World Cup, Team China spanned the Shanghai Qualifiers and forced it to Blizzcon, just to collapse into Team France in the semifinals. Having a roster constructed from several successful Chinese Tier two groups, for example LGD Gambling (Shy, Guxue), T1w Esports Club (Krystal), and LinGan Esports (Yveltal), the objective is bringing together different talents to form a catastrophic group. Look out for Krystal's leading DPS plays.
Australia's play with this World Cup is constructing a new group with seasoned talent; former gamers (rqt, Gunba) compose the management and coaching team, while new players culled from 2 branches of Contenders teams fill the positions. Blank Esports, a Pacific group, constitutes most the group, earning Trill (Tank), cKm (DPS, and Hus (DPS). The synergy of those players must bring renewed success into the Aussies; the group managed to make it into Blizzcon 2017, but dropped to Team Canada at the semifinals. Keep a watch on Trill, that has been dominating with Wrecking Ball, also Custa (Service ), whose shotcalling partly directed the Los Angeles Valiant into a point success.
For Sweden, this year's World Cup is all about salvation and a tiny bit of revenge. Virtually the whole roster is composed of returning players, a strong group constructed of Overwatch League talent. TviQ (DPS) and former Mayhem teammate Manneten (Tank) spouse up with Fusion's black horse DPS Snillo and chipshajen (Service ), before the Dallas Fuel. Luddee (Service ) and Sharp (DPS) are two new faces that have demonstrated promise in the Contenders scene. This really is a team filled with players that might or might not have been dropped out of their groups and are seeking a opportunity to showcase their ability. Their DPS lineup, notably TviQ's projectile and also Snillo's Tracer, should be feared. But keep the nearest eye on primary tank Reinforce, making a (ideally ) successful return to specialist Overwatch in the OWL Representative desk.
Denmark is putting on a roster pieced together out of a significant Contenders organization and many successful manufacturing players. The Copenhagen Flames attract three players into the group -- naGGa (DPS), Nerfdd (Tank), and Ding (Service ) -- even though mid century performances in the past couple of seasons of EU Contenders. However, they include fischer of GG Esports Academy and Shax of Mayhem Academy, two powerful DPS having the ability to take a group. Start looking for these and Kellex, chief support for your Boston Uprising, to place up the majority of the struggle against the other groups at the stage.
Spain stands to be the group with the most liberty; BromaS (DPS), ToxikeN (Flex), Networkz (Tank), and also dhaK (Service ) are free agents for this season's World Cup. The rest of the members have participated in mid sized Contenders showings, such as the Copenhagen Flames' DPS PoPiFresH (who gets the best title this point ), or have been at Overwatch League, including Dallas Fuel service Harryhook. Together with three support line associates along with a bend, Spain gets the very"off-meta" team. But if any staff can use and misuse that the three-support, three-tank meta, then it is Spain. View OWL/Former OWL supports Harryhook and Dhak flaunt their healer moves.

My review of Overwatch Group stage!
Most of us know by now, I expect, the wonderful story of Mickie, who played Thailand from the 2016 Overwatch World Cup as an unidentified participant whose team did not make it from classes. But, Mickie's individual performance was sufficient to get the interest of Team EnVyUs, that required him to Korea to get APEX because of stand-in, and the remainder is magnificent, grinning history. The Thai group also includes oPuTo, a longtime teammate of Mickie's and also a part of the national group for all 3 decades of this Overwatch World Cup. We all know the type of talent which may be produced here and are eager to determine if Thailand has some openings in 2018.
With just a single Overwatch League player on the roster, let us take a peek at what hidden gift China has available in Contenders. Guxue and Shy's group, LDG Gambling, recently completed as runner-up in Contenders China Season two, so that is a fantastic beginning. T1w Esports club ended below LinGan from the standings, but forced it into the semifinals. China is a powerful area, and seeing what they have got out the Shanghai Dragons roster is going to be something that you won't want to overlook.
The only real old partner from the Overwatch League, Custa, is a obviously powerful anchor with this group. Dark Sided along with also the Sydney Drop Bears both made it into the Contenders Australia finals, that was an on site LAN occasion, providing those men a flavor of their onstage life till they travel to Bangkok. Blank Esports, who compete at the Pacific area, only avoided being shipped to Contenders Trials in Season 2, but they are very experienced--they ended as runners-up in Season 1 Contenders Pacific--so there is possible for Australia to progress from this Group Phase.
