[ID: a comic in the TUA paranatural au, depicting Patch recruiting Lila to spy on the Activity Club for her. Both of them are about twelve. The first three panels are a flashback of an argument between Diego and Patch.
Flashback, Panel 1: A younger Patch shouts at a younger Diego, "WHAT is the Activity Club!" Diego growls "None of your business."
Panel 2: Patch says, teary-eyed, "You've been so different since you joined."
Panel 3: Diego looks guilty while Patch continues, "It's like it ate your brain! Why won't you talk to me anymore?"
Present Day, Panel 1: Patch is leaning on a desk while Lila sits on it. Patch says, "So, yeah. That's why I want to know what the Activity Club does."
Panel 2: Lila kicks her feet and says " And that's why you want me to join YOUR club. So I can spy on them for you." Patch smiles, embarrassed, and says "Yeah, basically."
Panel 3: Patch hunches her shoulders, saying, "It sounds bad when you say it like that."
Panel 4: She looks beseechingly up at Lila. "But I'm really worried about him. He won't talk to any of his friends. What the hell did they do to him!"
Panel 5: Lila waves her hand reassuringly. "No, I totally get it!"
Panel 6: Lila holds out her hand to Patch, smiling. "I'll tell you everything I learn."
Panel 7: She continues, "Trust me." Meanwhile, she writes a list in a notebook, headed with "Lies for Patch". End ID]

OKEEEEEEEEY, SO! A few thoughts about Kyoko and Micolash (yes, for once I am not speaking about our Micalash, I'm talking THE Micolash who all Micolash entities originate from).
The last post I reblogged went into depth about Kyoko's father's practices as a priest and what it meant for him, Kyoko herself, and the two of them together. Long-story-short, Kyoko's father was expelled from the church for his radical thinking and sermons.
Micolash also went against the teachings of the Church and was basically blacklisted.
Both never gave up on their teachings... with disastrous results.
Yeah I know that that's not alot to go off of, BUT! What makes this interesting for us... is that Evelyn was so drawn to Sayaka (for obvious reasons and also subtext reasonings) and now this just deepens the lore now that we know Mikah was always meant to be their Kyoko.
There are more interpersonal reasons why it made sense all along but it is midnight right now so I'll probably add those to this later BUT! This opens up so much potential... it's hard to verbalize but I feel like this connection is going to be very useful.

Ben Hargreeves x Reader
Tumblr media
I would've married you if you'd stuck around🐙
sorta s4 spoilers? but nobody takes the Marigold and lived their life.
plus I'm changing things because... yeah.
I walk into the birthday party for little Grace, who is one of Diego and Lila's children with her birthday present in my hand. It's just a silly child's keyboard because what the fuck do you get a six year old?
I make my way through the swarm of running and screaming children, the part of me that never grew up hurting because that's the childhood I always wished to have, yknow, running about, screaming my head off with all my friends but no, at the age of six I was learning how to disarm gunmen and learning how to control my powers.
God my life has gotten so much better without them.
Once I'm out the swarm of children, my eyes instantly fall on Sloane, Luther, and Ben, and I feel a slight shiver go down my spine at the sight of ben, I mean it's weird to think he has the face of the boy I used to love when we were like thirteen, but he's not the boy I love, I think anyway, I mean okay I sorta have feelings for this Ben, but I don't want him to think it's because he has the face of my old Ben, its confusing isn't it?
"y/n hi!" Sloane exclaims, waving me over with her hands, and I put on a wide smile as I make my way over to her, setting my present for Grace on the table beside her before she wraps me into a tight hug, which I return with an awkward laugh.
"I heard you're a firefighter now? that's sick." I say, turning to Luther with a smile and he just nods.
"we brought the Umbrella Academy, we're currently renovating it, I'd love for you to come stay some time." He tells me, and I widen my eyes, pretending to be interested as I make small 'oo' noises.
I hate when our family gather together, I mean Luther is married with a child, Diego is married with kids, I don't know what the fuck is going on with Allison, weve hardly spoken since we got to this time line and its not exactly that i dont want to talk to her, i just dont know what id say, Klaus doesn't need love, Five is technically married to a piece of plastic, Ben's just out of prison, Viktor has basically dated every girl in his town and I'm just.. there, I end up feeling extremely left out at the family gatherings when they start talking about issues with their kids or relationship problems because the only relationship problem was the fact Ben died on me.
"How was prison?" I ask ben, my eyes lighting up slightly as I turn to face him, all my attention now on him.
"I can't exactly say I enjoyed it." He tells me, raising a bottle of beer to his lips and taking a sip, and I just know his parole officer is gonna be pissed so I just let out a quiet laugh.
"So where are you staying then? I can't imagine your parole officer would let you live far." I then go onto ask, and he groans slightly, pointing at Luther and Sloane who are now talking to Diego.
"but I'm seriously debating robbing a bank just to get thrown back in." He then adds, looking around and I can't help but laugh a little louder.
"You're staying with them?" I scoff, turning to look at him with raised eyebrows.
"hardly by choice, I just needed a permanent address." He sighs, and I laugh again.
"Fresh out prison, and you're gonna be turned into a painter, electrician, plumber and babysitter. good luck." I tell him and he lets out a small chuckle before taking another drink from his beer.
"How have you been then?" Ben asks, and I shrug slightly.
"I mean, yeah, I've been.. living." I answer with a laugh, and he nods in agreement.
"Why don't we go get you a drink, we can sit at a table at the very back, and you can let it all out." He offers and I rapidly nod.
I sit at the table with Ben, taking a small sip from my beer before clearing my throat.
"I'm a child psychologist now." I tell him, and he nods slightly.
"I mean, it just felt right, yknow? I want to help kids so they don't end up with a childhood that we had. Well, I mean, without the powers, the robotic mom, the alien dad, you get what I mean." I tell him with a small wave of my hand, and he continues to nod, a small smile on his face.
"I get it." He tells me, and we both fall into a comfortable silence before he breaks it right as I take a mouthful of beer.
"don't you miss your powers?"
that question almost makes me spit my beer everywhere, my eyes widening as I stare at him.
"God, no, I don't miss them in this time line Nobody knows who I am, nobody takes a double take or gawks at me waiting to see my powers in use, I can be whatever I want to be in this timeline and I plan on using that to my hearts content." I tell him, and he just looks at me.
"You don't miss them? not even a little bit?" He asks, and I shake my head, which causes him to shrug slightly.
"I miss my powers, I feel.. ordinary without them." He tells me, and I furrow my eyebrows slightly.
"No offence, but I'm glad you don't have your powers. You died because of them in my original timeline, and it's good to see what my ben would've looked like grown up." I tell him, and he gives me a sad smile before we fall quiet yet again.
"and i think it's good to feel ordinary, I spent my whole childhood wanting to be normal to fit in, and now I do." I then add, and he scoffs.
"There's nothing ordinary about us y/n. Apart from the Umbrella Academy and the Sparrow Academy, nobody in the world has gone through even a fraction of what we have, and you've technically went through more than me because the Umbrellas ended the world in 2019, just to then go and do it again back in the 60s, to come back for it to end in 2019 again.." Ben says, and I just scoff, but I can't help but laugh and nod.
"and both times was technically Viktors fault." I argue, and we both smile before Five appears from under a slide somewhere and nods, a bottle of beer in his hand.
"it was Viktors fault both times. Actually, she's not making that up." He tells ben as he makes his way over to our table, dragging a chair along behind him, and ben just raised his eyebrows slightly, clearly pissed off our conversation had been distributed by Five, who still looks like a kid.
"Well, isn't this just a sad table of losers who feel out of place at their nieces birthday party with all the married couples and kids." Five says as he sits his beer down on our table with a large clink.
"I don't feel out of place, I could easily find someone I could marry and have kids with. you couldn't because you look like you're 18." I argue, and five leans back in his seat and crosses his arms slightly, mouthing ben so subtly so that ben can't see.
"Wait, y/n, did you ever even move on after your ben died?" My other Ben asks, and I look at him, my eyes wide as I try to muster an answer.
I try to muster up and answer, but none suitable come to my mind because the truth is I didn't even try to move on, I felt like there was no point, my whole childhood my heart was set on the fact that I'd be marrying Ben, I wanted to at the time despite how young we were and the fact we didn't fully understand the whole concept of marrige and he said he wanted to aswell. when he died I just blamed myself, I thought it was my fault he had died and I convinced myself everyone I love will die because of me, as a sort of reminder that my powers were a curse. obviously, that fact was proven false because my powers are gone. but even now, I'm still cautious to open myself back up to love, but when I'm with this ben, I feel myself slowly opening up again.
"I tried, but nobody stuck around." I lie, and Five shoots me a knowing glare, and Ben just nods, yet another comfortable silence falling over us as I take a large drink from my beer, staring down at my hands before Five starts a conversation with Ben and I can't help but sigh a sigh of relief.
somehow, Luther and Sloane have convinced me to come to theirs to stay the night.
"I think it'll have beneficial effects on releasing your childhood trauma y/n." Luther tells me as I sit in the back of his car, ben at the other side as sloane sits in the front and stares out the window.
"I'm the child psychologist Luther. You just stick to putting out fires." I state, crossing my arms slightly as I stare out the car window, watching the world go by the single frame of glass, trying to hide my smile as I hear Ben laugh at my comment.
"Do you ever sit and look at people and just laugh to yourself because you've saved their asses from the end of the world three times now?" I ask to Luther mainly due to the fact the Sparrow Academy have only had to save the world once, which ended up in all but two of them dying and he just shrugs as he continues to drive.
"Imagine how Viktor feels, knowing he almost killed them twice." Ben says, and that causes me to laugh, slapping a hand over my mouth as I try to stop it.
"That's nasty! the first time wasn't fully his fault. He just discovered his powers and didn't know how to stop them." I tell him, leaning over to gently slap his arm, but I'm still laughing.
"Plus, it's also semi Luther fault for locking him in this weird, safe thing." I add, and Luther groans, muttering something under his breath, leaving me to smile proudly.
"Let's just sit in silence till we get home." Luther suggests, and nobody says a single word to protest and I guess it would be sorta rude if I did seeing as I'm staying at his house tonight.
I sit in my old room, looking around at how empty it is because the Umbrella Academy doesn't exist in this timeline, meaning this room is just a room where I just so happened to share all of my good childhood memories, or atleast the handful I can call good.
"Why would you actually agree to come back here?" Ben asks with a laugh as he stands at the doorframe, staring down at me with questioning eyes.
"I think it's actually partly to do with what Luther said, I think it's good for myself to come see the place and realise that everything that happened back in my time line is just memories now, I dont know I guess I'm trying to give myself some closure." I answer with a shrug as ben walks further into the room, now sitting beside me on the bed.
"What were we like? in your timeline anyway?" ben asks, and I feel my heart stop for a second as I look at him for a brief moment.
"Really young but you -" I cut myself off. Is it wrong to address this ben as my Ben? because it is the same person, but it's not at the same time.
"we understood each other, he- *you* were one of the only people at the Umbrella Academy who showed me love despite our age. if we were doing paired work, we'd always be together, at meals we'd always pass notes, during training we always went easy on each other, during missions we always had a close eye on each other, we'd always spend time in my room. yeah, we were really young, but we still loved each other." I tell him, and he just looks at me, a sad smile on his face.
"we were convinced we were gonna get married, and in all honesty, I would've married you if you stuck around." I then add, looking away as I get an unbearable feeling of sadness.
"I would've married you if you came to the Sparrow Academy timeline earlier." Ben tells me, and I almost choke on my spit as I look at him, my eyes wide.
"What?" I ask, shaking my head slightly.
"I felt myself changing slightly the minute I looked at you when our academies met, but I was too.." He trails off trying to find the words.
"stuck up? full of yourself?" I begin listing and he rolls his eyes but he smiles slightly.
"Yeah, yeah, I was too stuck up to actually allow myself to change for you, and also, I was too scared because I know im nothing like your ben so I didn't want to cause a disappointment as though you lost him again." Ben admits, and I just stare at him.
"Ben, you are my ben." I state, my eyes not leaving his face, not even when his eyes light up slightly, not even when he turns to look at me.
"I didn't want to tell you in case you thought I'm just using you because of what happened with Umbrella Ben, but I promise you that is not the case. You are my ben." I then add, and I see his eyes softening as a small smile appears on the edge of his lips.
"so it's safe to say we like each other then?" He asks after a moment of us just staring at each other.
"I guess so." I jokingly groan, but I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him into a hug, just savouring the feeling of ben in my arms, my ben as one of his arms wrap around my waist, the other one coming up to reach into my hair, pressing the back of my head closer into him.
"I can't believe you went to prison, you asshole! I was gonna tell you I had feelings for you once we all settled into the new timeline, and then you went to prison."I scoff, and he pulls away from the embrace slightly and looks at me.
"You could've always written a letter or something." He tells me, a smirk playing on his lips.
"I would've been better using a carrier pigeon. No chance was I gonna have a prison pen pal." I scoff, rolling my eyes, but I did write, and then I wrote again, and again, and guess what? I wrote again.
"I did write to you, over and over again, I just never had the courage to send them, because imagine you got one of the letters, wrote back but it didn't send to me?" I ask, a shiver going down my spine at the thought of never knowing if he felt the same way.
"Well, I would've rewrote the same letter every day and sent it to you until you got it." Ben says, a slight hint of promise in his words, and with that, I press a kiss to his lips, and he instantly returns it, his hand on my waist tightening, gently pushing my head closer to his as he depends the kiss and we continue in our kissing embrace got a few moments, before we hear a:
"When I said coming here would help to release your childhood trauma, I didn't mean by doing.. this." Luther says, and I just pull away laughing.

Being Viktor's partner, especially for this long, had long called for a family reunion for you to meet them and vice versa. To say that was nerve-wracking was an understatement. That fucking man had six siblings. Six siblings you needed to impress. Six siblings you had to prove yourself to. Six siblings you had to give a good first impression so they knew you were good for Viktor.
Yeah, no, you weren't prepared to step inside the Hargreeves' mansion of a home.
The first to greet you was Allison, sporting long, dark curls against platforms, black, bell bottoms, and a white top. Get it girlfriend.
"Oh my gosh, hi Vik!" She smiles, wrapping her shorter brother in a hug.
You stand beside them awkwardly, nervously, thinking quickly in your head on what to say, if you should speak at all. No, of course you speak. Speak when spoken too-
"Hi, I'm Allison" She smiles, holding a hand out for you to shake.
You quickly accept the handshake, a kind smile on your face. "I'm Y/n"
"My partner" Viktor smiles.
Allison's soft smile turns into one of joy, much more gleeful. "Congrats, both of you." She looks between you both, a mutual smile being thrown back and forth. "You're a lucky person to have him, trust me"
"Thanks," you reply, looking to your boyfriend. "I love him a lot"
"Good thing I won't have to rumor either of you into saying it out loud," She jokes, patting Viktor on the shoulder before heading back into the living space.
You raise an eyebrow, looking to Vik. "What'd she mean, 'rumor us'?"
"Her power is to rumor people. She says, 'I heard a rumor' and essentially has power over their mind and actions, " he answers.
"Oh..."
"Don't worry, she's just joking. Sorry"
He pulls you into the living room, seeing his other siblings having a grand old time already. At the couch sits Diego and Lila, sipping on some fruity mocktails.
"Well, hello chaos bringer!" Lila smiles, quickly greeting Viktor with a hug. "Who's this lovely looking friend you've got here?"
"My partner" Viktor smiles, looking to you.
"Y/n" You smile, stretching your hand out for her to shake.
Lila accepts. "Lila. Diego's wife" She nods back at Diego.
From the couch, Diego smiles and waves, chewing on a slice of the orange which was in his drink. "Hi! I'm Diego, the only good sibling here"
Lila rolls her eyes, turning to Vik. "Do they know about all our powers?"
"We're just learning as we go" Viktor chuckles.
Lila turns back to you. "Well, I can replicate other people's powers, which is kinda shit sometimes." She shrugs, shoulders slightly knocking around her shoulder length, platinum white hair. "Diego's a master at corn hole. Don't challenge him"
"That's not my power!" He exclaims. "I have better aim than all you dorks, knives are for men!"
Lila and Vik speak to you in unison. "Guns are for pussies"
You chuckle, a hand over your mouth, finding comfort in this chaotic family already.
"Viktor, Lila" A new voice speaks, nodding his head as he speaks. "Who's that?"
"Five, meet Y/n, my significant other." Viktor smiles, turning between the two of you, "Y/n, this is Five. He's the one trapped in a younger version of his body, but he's actually like, seventy"
"Sixty-two," He corrects. "But, welcome to the family, Y/n. You're going to hate it here" He whispers.
"No, they won't!" Klaus groans with an eyeroll, appearing out of nowhere. He places his hands on his shoulders, which quickly fall to his sides after Five teleports away. "Hi, I'm Klaus" He smiles, quickly hugging you.
"Hi!-"
Lila continues, recapping you on powers. "Five can teleport and time travel, and Klaus is immortal and can speak to ghosts"
"And created a cult" Vik adds.
Klaus smiles, stepping back, looking between you and your boyfriend. "Let me know when the wedding is. I'll have to go shopping"
"Klaus!"
"Coming, Diego!"
As Klaus leaves, Luther and Ben approach, being the last of the siblings you had to meet. They both shake hands with you, then begin to argue over who was in charge of dusting the paintings on the walls.
By this point, you were wondering how they even put up with each other, then remembered that they barely did. I mean, you understood. You wouldn't want to be around your collection of siblings anymore after saving the world three times.
Lila turns back to you. "Luther is super strong, Ben has tentacles in his stomach"
You slowly nod. "Gotcha"
Five clinks a fork against a champagne glass, silencing the room. "Let's raise a toast to Viktor and his new partner, yeah?"
"Hell yeah!" Klaus smiles, picking up a stray glass of water off the coffee table.
Ben hands you and Viktor a drink while Five speaks, then drinks once again.
Vik turns to you as Lila joins Diego on the couch again. "Thoughts?"
"Many"
"I'd be worried if not"

So I was going to write a detailed post describing my every thought on the last season of the Umbrella Academy, but that would have taken forever to write and read. Not to mention people here have spoken about most of those things more eloquently than I ever could. Instead, I want to mention a running theme in the show: family. That seems obvious enough on the surface considering the premise is a dysfunctional superhero family. However, each character is motivated by the nebulous concept of a family.
This has a different meaning for each main character. Sometimes it's by blood, by marriage, or by teams. Each character may have different motivations that could come in conflict with each other's. In season 3, Allison is motivated by a loss of her family (Claire and Ray), Diego and Lila are motivated by starting a family together, and Luthor is conflicted between his old family (the umbrella academy) and a new family (the sparrows).
The problem I have with season 4 is that this theme is tossed aside for no reason. They spend very little time with each other, and they seem so miserable whenever they do get together. Viktor wants to help Ben cause he's his brother, but they have no connection beyond Umbrella!Ben. Allison saves Klaus only to have it thrown in her face. Luther spends the first episode trying to bring the family together and never does it again. But at least these people tried to help. The rest of the family would rather do anything else it seems.
Ben and Klaus immediately walk away after the fight in Maine to do whatever they want. It's been shown that Klaus likes to have people when he's hit bottom, whether that's to help him or just provide company. Ben spent the entire wedding episode angry that he was unwanted. It makes no sense he would throw away several chances to be a part of a family just to be an ass.
Diego and Lila chose to have kids and be together last season. Why are they shown to be completely unhappy now? Lila always wanted a family and people who loved her instead of manipulating her. In this timeline, her parents are alive, she has children and a husband, and his siblings are all there for her. What was the point of telling us several times last season how good of a dad Diego would be to not have that shown? Even if his job sucks and his life is stressful and he misses heroism, his children should be the most important thing to him.
Finally, we reach Five. Five's definition of family has always been his siblings. He fought for them. He killed for them. So him wanting to hide away in some fantasy timeline instead of saving his family is ridiculous and completely out of character. I could believe him and Lila being stuck together and they grow close over the years. I could maybe believe some romantic feelings happened if they truly saw no way out. The problem is that they should have gone straight home once the cipher was found.
The biggest issue is that none of these arcs were absolved. Diego/Lila/Five is never reconciled either way, Allison saves Klaus again and he learns nothing from it, Ben dies a painful death again, and the children are punished for the crime of being born by being erased from reality. The conclusion to the theme of the show is not only do they cause problems in every relationship they have, but that they are the problem. The show asks, What is family? The answer: nothing that can last apparently

oh no you guys. i’m going to spew things i’ve realized while rewatching umbrella academy. I’m realizing were all being too sucked into fanon things after being stuck without canon content for so long. We have convinced ourselves Five acts like a mean mean dude to everyone but rewatching, i’ve realized he’s only stressed and is saying things out of panicked anger, especially in s1 with the apocalypse dooming over them. he acts soft to his siblings multiple times, he’s really not as mean as we write him in fanfiction. he is a little crap though, that’s for sure, and i love him for that <3
also realizing that the siblings don’t hate five. they just literally don’t know him at all. he came back a completely different person after 17 years for the siblings, they don’t know five, he’s a stranger so of course they’re gonna be cold to him. it’s like, “i don’t know you well, but you’re always going to be my brother in the end”.
ALSO. for those who ship some of the siblings, uhm… i’ve seen a lot of you guys try to prove that they don’t see eachother as siblings and more like academy students, but they very much say in just about every episode that they see eachother as siblings. they don’t actually SAY that word by word but they say things like “she’s our sister”, or “our dad”. if they say OUR dad… bro. i’m not even going to continue, you can put it together yourself. But, i do realize why people ship the siblings. I am not defending incest shippers but with umbrella academy i can see why people have resorted to it. only 3 of the characters in the main sibling cast has romantic partners. people like shipping people, people love writing romantic relationships, but with only diego/lila, dave/klaus, and sissy/viktor, (i’m not going to count five/dolores for now) people are desperate with the need to ship the rest of the siblings with someone, and since there are only a few actual canon characters in the show that interact with our main 7, people start shipping them together… yikes. anywho, that’s all for that peice. i blame the show writers as well for shipping luther/allison, they did not have to do that, but i’m hoping it was only to convey the severity of what childhood trauma does to people.
ALSO THIS HERE SHOOK ME. I actually think Reginald cares for the siblings. i hate to say it, but it’s true. caring for them does not mean being good, though. he was a horrible father, and person, but he genuinely did care for the siblings, in a like, “being the best is the best thing for you, i will make you better, for your sake, even if you don’t know it now, you will see that i am right” kind of way.
also why has NOBODY MENTIONED THIS. in season 2 when diego first reunites with five in the asylum, while he’s walking into the visitors room, he’s staring at five with this heartfelt, soft look, and then says “five…” in the most soft spoken voice ever 😭 your honor i love them
ALSO UGHHH THIS. IM GOING TO FREAK OUT ABOUT CAMERAWORK AND METAPHORS HERE SO BARE WITH ME. we as a fandom complain about the lack of flashbacks five has due to his ptsd. we’ve seen his first flashback since getting back to his family in s1 during the van scene when he gets triggered by those kids playing and starts thinking about his own childhood, i’m guessing. i ate that scene up, and was sad to see that be one of the only deeply vulnerable scenes he has in the season, and during my first watch i thought they’d never bring it back up. but they do!! i may be stupid for not realizing but whatever. in season 2, when five is trying to explain at elliot’s with all his siblings around that another apocalypse is coming, everyone starts talking about each other. as someone who studies film and camerawork, i love this scene. we see the camera focus on five as it slowly zooms in. it doesn’t switch scenes at all as the siblings voices overlap and echo over eachother. this whole scene conveys him getting overwhelmed and he starts to zone out, starting to think of the nuclear war he saw his siblings in. the scenes of the war start quickly switching through, showing many different scenes of it before it switches back to five, who says “guys, you all die. i want to forget it but i can’t” which just UGH its so well done there. if you think about it, he was starting to slip into another flashback. he was triggered by talking about their deaths in the war but was handling it well until the siblings started fighting, where we see the overlapping voices happen. it portrays him losing control and being unable to pull it back together with too much going on for him to focus on grounding himself. we DO however, see that five was able to pull himself out before he fell too deep into the flashback. i love how they show this through them still having the scene showing the war, but then fives voice starts talking over the scene which is still focusing on the war as if he was pushing it back and forcing himself to come back to the present.
thank you for reading if you’ve made it this far, i will continue to freak out another time <3

Kind of in awe over how similar the actors for tua seem to be to their characters (in interviews at least) so take this with a grain of salt. I just think it’s cool how the casting directors seemed to find the perfect actors to play the roles, both looks and personality wise.
Master list of details I’ve found they share with their characters ig lol
Luther/Tom: loves working out and apparently does his learning while working out (cut to scene of Luther doing push-ups while reading). He’s a big softy and loves bringing the group together. He’s always there to boost his fellow actors self esteem.
Diego/David: Acts big and boisterous but is actually very invested in how others perceive him. Wants to be seen as the cool macho one but (not so) secretly has a heart of gold. He also seems to be the one they’re most likely to lovingly bully. Also dated Ritu (Lila’s actress) but kept the relationship as hidden as possible.
Ritu/Lila: she laughs to hide her true emotions. She overall tries hard to hide her true emotions. Again, secretly dated David and were only found out by fans through their families. Hate to say this one but seemed to break up due to events of s4 (just speculation as they stopped following each other/deleted photos off their socials a little before the season came out which likely means issues while filming it).
Allison/Emmy: cares a lot about her self image. Is a famous actor. I mean, they all are but like she really holds herself as one in interviews. She has a very refined actor way of answering questions while still allowing herself to be fun. Honestly hard to tell if she’s like Allison because I can’t tell how she’s like off screen, which is a good thing. She does often refer to the others in sibling/family terms which is so sweet.
Klaus/Robert: always saying the most unhinged and out there things. Constantly barefoot. He’s the glue that seems to hold them together and always knows how to make light of a situation through use of his quirky humour. I don’t know how watching the final scene together would have gone without him. Also appears to be a drug connoisseur.
Five/Aidan: very quiet until he needs to say something. He seems to very much be an old soul in a kids body. I remember in an interview on how they handled shooting the final scene and he mentioned he didn’t cry until he was alone in his trailer because he takes awhile to process things like that. He just seems like a very thoughtful person.
Ben/Justin: kinda sassy but in the way that you just love him more. The others (especially David) seem to love to bug him constantly. I love this bc Ben and Diego do seem to have been close before Ben died. He enjoys his alone time and solitude. He is soft spoken yet sassy. Honestly feels like he acts like a mix between umbrella Ben and sparrow Ben which I love.
Viktor/Elliot: he’s pretty introverted and doesn’t speak much unless prompted. Just overall a sweetheart that doesn’t want any trouble. He’s also a writer. Also tramsgemder

I’d like to address something from season four that I haven’t seen anyone else address yet, though some people have spoken critically of the plots surrounding it.
A quick caveat: this is based off of my own experiences, and is not by any means an attempt to excuse, forgive, or erase any of the many mistakes that season four made. (This is going to be about parenting, for anyone who would like to avoid said topic.)
Hi. I’m the mother to a 4.5 year old child. When I met my husband, we were both working jobs, although he made more than me. I quit my job eventually for reasons that don’t need to be detailed here, and three years later had a baby and ended up being a stay-at-home mom to our child. At the height of the pandemic, I felt this was lucky; we wouldn’t have to scramble to find child care or anything like that.
Two years later, I was absolutely miserable and a completely different person.
Parenthood changes a person. A lot. Like, a lot. You have to sacrifice things, things that used to be important to you, again and again, in order to support your children, and you do it because you love them so much and you want them to succeed.
But something else happens, specifically to women who become parents. Some women intend to go back to work and never do. In some families, it’s cheaper for mom to provide childcare than it is to pay for daycare. Somehow, women end up being the managers of the household and primary caregiver for any/all children, all day, every day. This isn’t to say that these women don’t love their children. But, rather, that women end up carrying the burden of the invisible load for their entire household, including their husbands.
And this also isn’t to say that those husbands aren’t loving, or that they don’t take care of their kids too, or that these women don’t love their husbands. But it’s a huge burden.
Some examples of the invisible load: meal planning, grocery shopping, packing bags for outings or school, managing the family (kids) schedule, arranging for childcare, managing communication with childcare or school, making all appointments for kids or entire family, planning parties, making holiday (Christmas/Easter/4th of July/take your pick) magic, finding activities for kids to do, packing lunches, restocking things like toiletries or pantry staples, cleaning up clutter or getting family/kids to do same, putting away laundry, doing laundry, and…the list goes on. The list is eternal. There is no end to the invisible load.
And when you’re managing all of this and your husband does things like not know if you have a pantry staple at home, isn’t sure where your child’s clean underwear is, or forgets to do something very simple such as grab extra milk, it’s really easy to feel frustrated and resentful.
This is never explicitly stated in The Umbrella Academy, that this is how Lila feels. But it was pretty obvious to me. Her random statements like, “Why are you doing the cake now?” and “I told you to do the pinata two hours ago!” and “This isn’t about you!” felt true to me. Like, OH MY GOD, I do this every day, HOW ARE YOU DOING THIS SO WRONG. And, also, Diego casually says, “Hey, let’s just up and leave just like the old days, the kids will be fine with your family,” without appearing to have ANY IDEA about what goes into planning for kids to stay with relatives for what has to have been at least two days. (Sidebar: I’m not sure if the writers thought that bit through but I definitely read into it that Diego thinks it’ll be easy to slip away while Lila understands the intense logistics of this suggestion.)
So, when Lila said, regarding book club/undercover operations that she just needed something just for herself, I felt that, SO hard. Because you know what happens when you’re a mom? You’re doing the invisible labor and the emotional labor for (in Lila’s case) a family of five. When you finally have some time to yourself, it’s maybe an hour, and your choices are to try to do something relaxing by yourself, spend time with your husband (who you might resent a little), or do something for the house/family. Getting to escape and do something fun, just for you? That’s SO magical.
I do wish we’d seen more of their domestic life together, because I think that could have said a lot about their relationship. But I didn’t think for one second that Lila was unhappy because Diego is never present and never stops complaining, although I’m sure that’s part of it. I saw instantly that she was unhappy because her personhood has been crushed under the weight of motherhood and wifehood and that she was struggling. And that all she wanted—all any of us in similar situations want—is for her husband to understand that and step up, in a way that husbands really don’t understand, because patriarchy.
Does it mean she’d cheat on Diego? Does it mean she’d cheat on him with his brother? Not necessarily. Does it mean she might look for companionship or friendship elsewhere, outside of her family life? Does it mean she might be happy, for a while, living a more adventurous or quiet life, away from the demands of her family? Maybe! Would have been great if the show had explored that a little instead of turning her into part of a love triangle.
But I thought that Lila, burdened with motherhood in a way that Diego cannot ever truly know (because patriarchy), felt true to me and was one of the highlights of season four to me.

What did you think was ooc for Five?
Great question, and I have already covered it a bit in my post here, but I could probably yammer on all day about it, so I'll add some thoughts.
Season 1 -3 Five was focused, determined, manic, arrogant, sometimes mean, violent, out-spoken, and full of love for his family above all. Yes, he insulted them and had no time or patience for their shit, but considering everything he'd been through and what he was up against, there was a reason for it. Season 4 Five? Ok, yeah, I can buy that maybe he was depressed and didn't really know what to do with himself anymore. Myself and others have certainly written him that way a few times. But, damn, he spent like all of season 3 bitching about wanting to be retired and here he could be! He could have played the stock market a few times, bought a little place somewhere, picked up a nice lady at the local Bingo hall and lived his peaceful live he deserved. Instead, he works (inexplicably) for the government and just wanders around with his sad little trenchcoat and CIA-issued pistol and flashlight, taking orders from The Man and just...existing I guess. I could see if they made it so that he joined the CIA to get inside info on Reginald and he had spent the last 6 years quietly plotting to take him down and get his revenge or set the world straight again. But no...he apparently hadn't even tried to look into anything Reggie was doing? Like he was just "*shrug*, it's probably fine".
Five loves his family above all else. We know this. If not, he wouldn't have spent decades alone fighting to get back to them and save all their stupid asses. Now, all of sudden, he just doesn't seem to care? Yes, he's present and has obviously kept in touch. He goes to the birthday party, etc. But there is zero interaction with Klaus, or his nieces, or even Viktor. When at the end, he finally gets some fight back (although for completely absurd reasons) and snaps at Luther, the whole family gasps in shock like this is some new occurence that Five would be mean to them. And he'd said much worse to them before! So, that leads me to believe he just has spent the last 6 years being a completely different person and everyone forgot he's actually an asshole?
And back to the family thing...fighting his brother over his wife? Falling in love with Lila, the same person who: conspired behind his and Diego's back in Season 2, was raised by his villainous boss, was the daughter of two innocent people he killed, tried to kill him with her fists, a frying pan, her feet, a knife, electrocution; and who he tried to kill multiple times as well. Yes, they have had time to heal some wounds and they have a shared traumatic experience with The Handler but come on...he would never! He would never be attracted to her that way. He would never betray Diego that way. And he certainly wouldn't fight him over her, not when she and Diego are married and have kids together. I don't care how many years they were together alone...just no. Best friends? Sure. Lovers? Fuck no.
Physically, where was his prowess? Five is supposed to be the all-time badass assassin, trained in martial arts and weaponry. His body is young at 19-20 years old, and at the peak of his physical fitness. Even without his powers he should be able to kick some ass, or at least try to. And then when he does have his powers, he just doesn't know how to use them correctly anymore? And again, he looks slow and weak in a fight. His solution to taking down the big Bennifer blob thing was to fire an entire clip at long range at it, and then just go "huh...weird that didn't work". Why wasn't he looking around the mall for a weapon? An axe? Something else to fight against it! That's what he does...that's his THING! We were fucking robbed of a Five-centric badass fight scene, when there were so many opportunities for one. Hell, he could have taken down a room full of Keepers with a fucking ballpoint pen while singing along to Abba's Dancing Queen! Why didn't we get that?
Meeting with Reginald. Remember in Season two when Five met with Reggie at the Tiki bar? He sat and had a drink with him, but it was still tension-filled with a lot of emotion there. Then in Season 3, when he was basically like "you're a sadistic lunatic that is going to kill all of us" and got right in his old man's face and told him he was a giant dick? This time...he's just standing around Reggie's house shooting the shit and not even acting like he's mad. That is just not the same guy. I realize this was supposed to be Viktor's fight with Reggie, but they still could have shown Five to have a little emotion there.
So, there you have it. I could probably keep going, but this is way too long as it is. It's just heartbreaking, really. This character that we have all come to love for all of his complexities and faults and heroics was just diminished to a one-dimensional, uninteresting character with no regard for his family. Basically, just undoing three season's worth of plot and character development. And it's not Aidan's fault. He did the best he could with the shit he was given, and I feel sorry for him. For as much as we love this character, Five was his. He made him come to life and there's not many other actors his age that could have pulled that off. So, I'm sad this was his end. They really did him dirty.

HOT TAKE. As a society, we are conditioned to hate final seasons. This is fair. We were all betrayed by Game of Thrones and Supernatural and whatnot. As someone who has never watched these (I have only heard generalised complaints about them), let me (drunkenly) yap about the Umbrella Academy s4.
I'm gonna try and keep this vaguely organised.
Luther
I was an adamant Luther hater back in season one and two, I will admit, meeting his actor at Comic Con in 2021 did colour my opinion a little bit, but I loved him in season three. I mean, his romance with Sloane always felt a little rushed to me, but it was certainly sweet, and their wedding was a nice tie in to the "we only see each other at weddings and funerals" thing.
Pros;
In season four, I loved him. He's optimistic about life and goes to great lengths to brighten the moods of people around him, which is the kind of person he lacked all his life. He's being the person he always needed and I love that for him.
The implication that he's pushing aside his festering feelings of dissatisfaction for his life to be there for other people is so moving, and also I love those moments where him and Allison get to just be normal siblings, showing that he's moved on from that toxic era of his life.
His fight scenes are epic and he's all round a good character this season. I understand people's disdain for being sidelined, along with his grief for Sloane, but there are a certain two factors that should be taken into consideration here. The first being that, by s4e1, its been six years since he lost her. He has probably processed that grief and moved on by now, despite how profound the loss. Obviously he still thinks about her, which is why he occasionally brings her up, but it's been a long time. Additionally, he's semi-sidelined because his character arc was pretty well rounded by the end of s3. He's moved on from Allison and was on a trajectory for a healthier life. Its tragic that he lost Sloane, but good that he continued trying to be happy.
Cons;
I do wish his relationship with Ben had been more developed this season. To me, I think the implication is that he's hanging on to Sparrow Ben as a brother (in-law) because he's the closest remaining connection to the Sparrow Academy, therefore Sloane.
Why is he living in the decrepit Sparrow Academy house? Why? Literally why??? This needed more explanation.
Diego
My mother hates him. I lowkey love him. In season two, his character plus his saviour complex was explored so fucking well. I loved him then. I think his character in season three is a decent testament to how boring 'settling down' can be.
Pros;
He reacts very well to everything that happens. That's the best way I could explain it. The realisation that sometimes life is just normal. Its a sweet plotline and I enjoyed it
I loved his relationship with Luther, his visit to the CIA and the fun approach to his power this season.
His final words to Lila, that he knew she didn't mean to hurt him, were so mature and a brilliant way of rounding off his character with a sense of satisfaction and finality. I loved it so much. In that moment, before everything, he was her husband, and that was beautiful.
Cons;
I have very few. I think his depiction as a mailman is silly. I just wish it had been a different job.
Also I wish he'd spoken more Punjabi because I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) he learnt that to converse with Lila and her family in their native language, despite Lila's family speaking English.
Why was he immature enough to fight with Five over his wife when the literal world was ending? Not very consistent with his character development but I still liked that scene. Honestly, that was obviously written in as a segue to Five going back to the subway so I guess it did have to be there it just felt a bit weird.
Allison
Oh dear God. Allison Hargreeves, what happened to you? I loved her so much in seasons one and two. Season three Allison ruined everything ever forever. Not through bad writing. Through very good and despicably devastating writing. She has lost so much and she coped with it so badly that she altered all of time to avoid her grief. The evillest girlboss of all time.
Pros;
CLAIRE! Claire Bear. I love you. Thank you season four for giving us Claire and Claire/Allison bonding time.
Also the fact that she's coping with her being a terrible human being by babysitting Klaus for five years (which she is obviously very spiteful about) is very well written.
I like the return of Allison badassery when she shows up and literally busts a man's balls.
I like how she ends the show being physically vulnerable and now Klaus is taking care of her now. That was cute.
Also I love that she's being held accountable for her actions and it makes her a slightly better person! That was fun.
I like that we learn that without her power she was a B-list actor at best.
Cons;
What the fuck were her powers this season? I know they got janky marigold but why is she literally just telekinetic now????
Why didn't they tell us why Ray walked out? She literally altered time to get him back. Like, I know Allison has fucked up every relationship she's ever had but PLEASE tell us what happened.
Also fuck you for what you did to Klaus.
Klaus.
Oh, Klaus Hargreeves, the man that you were. Season one. TRAGIC. I loved it. Season two, the exact same commentary. Season three, I loved him so much, he keeps being my FAVOURITE and also the idea that the drugs and trauma thwarted the full potential of his powers, but the drugs was the only thing that could keep him sane because of his trauma and his powers was so cool. Well done for beginning to overcome your rampant daddy issues Klaus. Season four. He is still my favourite.
Pros;
Having him sell his body in the weirdest way possible was amazing. I love to see it.
The moment between him and Claire where she knew exactly what was happening and he just repeats 'it's too late' and swears at her. Beautifully devastating.
Him getting buried alive was so fucking fitting I can't properly explain it I just love it.
His final line, and the third-to-final line of dialogue in the whole shows being 'I just wanna say, I love you guys, but you're all assholes' sums up perfectly. And it just had to be him that said that. He can never escape his nihilism and I love him for it. Its who he is.
Learning that the 'real' Klaus is a total germophobe was fun.
Cons;
Give my man more screen time. I beg. I am on my knees begging. Please Mr Blackman. Please Mr Way. Give the love of my life more screen time.
I wish Dave had been mentioned once or twice. Dave is forever a part of Klaus. Why didn't he try to contact him when he got his powers back? Why has he forgotten him? If Luther gets a Sloane mention then Klaus should have gotten a Dave mention. I guess Netflix hates the queers unless they're from Heartstopper (/j)
Five
Five is my mother's favourite and she was vomming this season because of you-know-what. The poor woman. She still loves him though, So did I. Five defines The Umbrella Academy. He spent two seasons wearing the uniform, he got the first f-bomb, he was responsible for SO much exposition. All in all, he is quintessential to the aesthetic, plot, and entire existence of the series. Did season four give him justice?
Pros;
I love Five being a CIA agent. This is so him.
Jerome is a funny name for him.
He doesn't ever stop being himself and I love that.
I like how blunt he is about the fact they all have to end their existence. He understands existentialism and his place in the universe more than his siblings (and most people ever) can fathom. It had to be him to deliver that news and he does it so well.
Cons;
The elephant in the room. Him and Lila. I see it. I see the vision. Yes. If two people spend seven years with only each other for company, suspended in time, they will probably develop a romantic relationship. That doesn't make me like it. It is in character for him to lie to Lila (or withhold information from her)about knowing the way home. I just hated every second of it. I thought they were going to steer clear of Five romantic relationships because of how weird his ageing is. He's mentally more than twenty years older than Lila and physically more than ten years younger than her. It is gross. I hate it. It was a reasonable plot choice Honestly, their relationship remaining strictly platonic would have been less realistic than what happened but when has this show ever been realistic? I will say, it makes sense for Five to revert to old coping mechanisms (I am referring to Delores) in a time like this, it's just that this time he had a real person to enact them with. In times of utter distress, Five is a romanticist, so at least his character is consistent.
Why didn't they let him wear a suit that fits him? That was not nice.
Ben
Sparrow Ben is a sexy cunt. I love how much of a knob he is. All the time. This season was a slay for him. We heart assimilation allegories for love and obsession.
Pros;
I repeat - I love the assimilation metaphor. He didn't get to go with grace. I've seen people criticising that he got no meaningful death scene but that's the point. His meaningful death was stolen from him because of his unhealthy obsession with Jennifer and how deeply in love with her he was. It's a commentary of how toxic and co-dependant relationships will destroy a person. I love it.
I love the scene where him and Jennifer are sat either side of the wall watching the same movie. That was so fucking cute.
Cons;
The CGI for his powers was shit. He looked like the squid version of She-Hulk.
Why have the Umbrellas just adopted him into his family? That was weird.
Victor
I have always loved him. Best trans representation I've ever seen. Autism coded. The amount of times I said 'His powers are just autism sensory overload' or 'his powers are just anger issues' has probably burned the phrase into my mother's mind.
Pros;
I like that he was a manwhore in Canada.
I love him having control over his powers this season. We support self control my man.
I love how adamant he is to save Ben. All this man has ever wanted was to save someone. And he never could. So he sacrificed himself to save the world.
Cons;
I was not here for the fit this season. The boots. The jean jacket. Not a serve. I am sorry.
He was kinda cringe and irrelevant this season I'm not gonna lie.
Lila
Thank you Lila for being what I picture when I hear Golden Brown. It makes me happy.
Pros;
A devoted mother. We love her. I also love that her character involves her children but she's more than that. But she still sacrifices everything for them. "Make sure to read to Gracie every night! And don't let the twins fight!" absolutely destroyed me.
I don't know what it is but her fit ate this season.
Her final words being 'Fuck you!' was fun.
Cons;
Her 'LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME' personality got annoying after about four episodes. Not even in s4, just in general.
I wish her backstory had been more addressed this season. It was just completely ignored. Sad.
The Plot.
Pros;
If this show is anything, it is self aware. It makes fun of itself for just doing the apocalypse four times. I love it.
The tragic ending. Too many shows have happy endings these days. I need my bittersweet tragedy and the Umbrella Academy delivered. It actually made me bawl because these characters meant so fucking much to me.
I always said that Klaus's story couldn't end without him dying. I also felt like Five dying would work. Now I think that if one of them goes, they all have to. They were born at the same time and they died that way too. It explains WHY they keep ending the world. Their very existence is apocalyptic. They are a collective incarnation of the apocalypse and that just rounds off the show in such a meaningful way.
I know people hate the 'one true timeline' thing and the 'they all die' thing and feel like its a copout, but its so beautiful to me. They were the problem the whole time. They can't just find some creative and resourceful way out of it this time. This is the end. That's WHY the SONG in the TRAILER WAS 'THE END' by My Chemical Romance!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons;
The plot holes like why does Luther getting his powers back give him his monkey body back when the life-saving surgery that he didn't need in this timeline didn't happen???
Along with many other plot holes that have already been pointed out within this post and by other people a million times so I won't go through the tedium of doing what has already been done.
Special mentions!
The Gene & Jean dance scene! The show knew they couldn't get away with making the Umbrellas dance again but they needed an obligatory Umbrella Academy dance scene and they ATE IT UP.
The song they danced to was also a banger, which segues nicely into my next mention which is the SOUNDTRACK. It SLAPS. Muse! Bloodhound Gang! Cher! ALL IN ONE SHOW. The Umbrella Academy's soundtrack has always been amazing and season four is not any different.
The closing line "On the eighth of august 2024" etc. DESTROYED ME.
THE USE OF 'I THINK WE'RE ALONE NOW' KILLED ME.
THE POST CREDITS WITH THE MARIGOLD FLOWERS AAAAGHHH.
ALL THE SIDE CHARACTERS UGH.
Also, the production photos from across the years in the credits. I loved them so fucking much.
They kept handling Victor's trans storyline well, not pretending he was never a girl and including him in flashbacks. Idk I liked it.
Diego naming his daughter after his mother is so sweet.
Random criticism though - the casting for the teen versions of the Umbrellas was ATROCIOUS. Klaus somehow looked five years old and in his mid forties at the same time.

why do you guys never put that energy when the man is way older? ppl have gotten so used to men being creeps that it’s no longer “that big” of an issue than vice versa
Genuinely asking, do you live under a rock? Because it’s spoken out about ALL the time from what I see, so it’s potentially where you’ve been looking on the internet. If you mean me specifically, I hardly post on tumblr as it is aside from TUA because my main media output is twitter but also it’s not been an issue in fandoms I have been in where it hasn’t been presented as an issue, if it has been something in a piece of media that I like then it is typically portrayed as weird and uncomfortable which is the opposite of what happened between Lila and Five.
Though in this case, i’d say it IS also a situation like that with an older man being creepy because it’s Steve Blackman that has been weird this entire time. He’s the one who wrote it, he’s the one who fought for it because the entire cast either thought that relationship was a joke or were actually upset & pissed off about it.
Obviously it’s written that it is an older woman and younger boy (physically at least because the whole complexity of Five being like 80) which is also an issue! Everything about the situation is an issue. Five is mentally older than Lila, that’s fucking weird too! Everything regarding this coupling is uncomfortable and 100% why Five never should’ve had a love interest.
None of the actors involved are to be blamed or criticised from this from where I personally stand because by the sound of it, they all fought for it to be not done and the cast literally banded together to make this the last season, likely due to actions of Steve.
It would have been weird & incredibly fucked up regardless of gender roles and I don’t think it’s productive at all to be like well what if it were this way around because it isn’t and it’s a counterintuitive thing to say because it just becomes an argument losing the point of the situation. This specific situation is the reality we live in so I think our energies are better focused on pointing out how weird this is, that Steve potentially shouldn’t be around young actors and actresses if this is how they’re treated, and keep the same energy for a circumstance of the opposite way when that comes across.

Some silly little Kellila headcanons I think about often:
Kell buys *at least* one new tea from every market he visits. He then sits Lila down and makes her try them all. She goes along with it to make him happy, even if she secretly thinks they all taste the same.
A secret pet name Kell has for Lila is ‘my demonic angel’, but he generally keeps it to himself, except when he’s tired and it just slips out (or when he’s REALLY tired and it comes out as a mumbled ‘my angel’).
Lila likes to kiss the freckles on Kell’s shoulders (modern-day Kell would get an ‘X marks the spot’ tattooed on the spot she kisses most).
Kell likes to collect maps he finds in different port towns - he stashes them all under the bed and after Lila finds them, they make it a tradition to go and find another whenever they dock.
Lila received her first-ever birthday present on her 20th birthday - it was a knife from Kell. She cried. No one’s ever done something like that for her before.
Kell teaches Lila how to dance in the captain’s cabin one night after they talk about the ball during the Essen Tasch.
If Kell knows Lila has to travel between worlds alone he always gives her his coat so she has a piece of home with her.
Kell always wanted to learn how to cook but Maxim and Emira thought it was ‘beneath him’ (plus, it would take his focus off protecting Rhy). When he sails away with Lila he finally gets to learn how. Plus, he likes to cook her fancy meals to show he loves her. She never has to go without food again. (This is one i’ve spoken about a lot with @bluecichlid, who had a similar hc about Kell and cooking!)

Prompt Idea (lost count how many I made this)
Pairing: Chloe x Nino, Adrien x Kagami, Marinette x Felix --- Felix stayed just to keep an eye on Marinette from what Kagami and Chloe told him about what had happen to her.
Let's say Alya got out of hand for Marinette since she doesn't really wanna hang out with Alya anymore as she recall the end of friendship by Alya as she starts to believe in Lila then her. But it seems Alya had forgotten one thing when she ended the friendship but still wanna hangout as friends.
Which isn't gonna happen for her as Marinette spoken to her parents the truth they weren't very happy on this but glad to know that their daughter told them at the last second. Her mother Sabine suggested to have a therapist appointment for her daughter.
She did also remember the time of babysitting when ditching it to date with Nino was a very unhealthy relationship. Now she is regretting of putting Alya and Nino in that cage zoo when Kim made fun of Mr. Cesaire about the black panther. Plus she ignore the fact about Alya stating Nino is a like a brother to her.
After Felix saw this happening when Marinette told him what is really going on as he dragged Marinette out of Cesaire's reach and told her to tell Cesaire 'No' if she does it but continue to where they can see Aurore, Marc, Alix, Mirelle, Claude, Alan, Luka, Kagami, Chloe, and Allegra.
As for Sabrina and Nino well they're a part of that group but Sabrina plays double agent to collect evidences on Lila's lies after Chloe told her when she knock some sense into Sabrina's head while Nino tries his best to get some evidence but tries to reason with Alya getting her to fact-check.
Turns out Nino had a crush on Chloe since élémentaire where the time she defend him from Kim bullying him. But was scared to confessed his feelings towards Chloe until lycée. Yet he still has feelings for her again.
But at the end everything went downhill for Alya and Lila. But if you wish to add Bustier and Damocles thats up to you.

Local History📖
Next part to 13's adventure in the Haunted Forest~! ;w;💕 (previous)
"I’m guessing you got curious, walked in, and one wraith later… you got lost. Didn’t you?” The pretty guy says with a light smile. Clearly amused by them.
“A bit.” Thirteen scoffs out a shy chuckle, “is that what those tall scary things are?” They get a gentle nod, before the reigns on the large mountain of floof-mount are pulled in such direction and the creature trots closer, shifting so Thirteen gets a good view of its pretty patterned flank and colorful gear.
“Come on, I’ll get you out of here.” And he extends a hand their way— but… as exciting as it may be to ride on such a creature…
“Do I really have to go?” Thirteen blurts suddenly, scaring the guy’s eyes wide open and his welcoming hand to retrieve with confusion.
“You– like– being here.”
Despite the sure tone, thirteen answers it as a question nevertheless, nodding their head excitedly; “I mean, sure, there’s been quite a few scary moments, I’m not made of stone… But I’ve never seen things such as this– I… I’m so curious still. Are there other large insects here? And the horse- dog- things… with the bare skulls, what are they? And this tree–”
Clear, honest laughter interrupts them from their ramblings, “you’re something, I’ll tell you that.” And Thirteen’s not quite sure if it’s a compliment or not even with that silky way of speaking of his; a thin, awkward smile fills in for their silence. “I can’t in good faith allow you to keep running around like a curious kitten, setting off predators wherever you go. But… it has been quite some time since I’ve spoken with anyone so, I’ll make this offer once: Would you like to see the palace-?” And he rushes in to finish his sentence when Thirteen’s eyes seem to pop out their face with glee, “With the promise- of leaving and not coming back once the ‘tour’ is over.”
Thirteen seems to mull it over for a couple seconds, before immediately going back to good old anticipation; sure, being kicked out to never return isn’t fun… but they’ll probably never get anywhere near the more interesting parts of the kingdom without a guide. “Wait a second though, you haven’t told me your name.”
There’s an unreadable silence, “didn’t get past you, did it? … I’m Zaphkiel.” He introduces himself with a little nod, pulling the attention to his ride with a gently tug on the reigns; “and this is Lila. A Giant Nycto Moth, species endemic only to Nyctos; she’s far from her birth home, I know. She was a gift.”
Thirteen notes the way Zaphkiel pushes the attention from his own identity… but even they know when to stop pushing. And, well… gift horse. Nyctos is going right on the “Places-to-visit” list. If there’s a Giant Nycto Moth– are there other differently-sized species? Thirteen’s hands run through the beautifully patterned fur, so soft there’s barely any feel to it.
Zaphkiel stretches out his hand and Thirteen takes it without a fuss this time, pushing themself up to sit behind him on Lila. “Thirteen.” They say to the air once they’re settled, watching with mild amusement as Zaph’s back goes stiff with confusion, “my name.”
It doesn’t ease his confusion one bit, but Zaphkiel deals gracefully with the odd piece of  information. Lila makes her way to the royal city through paths stretch and hidden and covered in bramble that her fluffy toes have no trouble crossing over; and Thirteen is once again happy they took the deal. Even foggy and dusty and gray– it’s an outstanding view, Thirteen leans to the side to better see around Zaphkiel; the carefully crafted rock pavement tracing dulled circles in a clear space before the palace, a thicket of bramble and deliberately placed chunks of repurposed wood covering the wide gates that once led from the public square up to the royal city.
What happened here? The citizens had probably barricaded themselves here at some point… it must’ve been pretty bad before it simply got quiet.
Zaphkiel hummed softly, catching their attention, “don’t go mulling over tragedies,” Lila quickened her step at his command. “This kingdom was sent into darkness over a thousand years ago. It’s history now.”
Thirteen tried thinking of a way to ask more that wasn’t too intrusive, when they couldn’t find any, they chose quietly observing the architecture around them instead. All overrun by roots so old, they’d grown from between the rocky pavement and through walls and around pillars; and dried to death in place. Zaphkiel and Lila walked through with familiarity, entering the palace through a side, unblocked, short gate with an entrance that looked much cleaner than everything else.
“Are you… alone here?” Thirteen finally dared to ask, while Zaphkiel dismounted from Lila and helped them to do so as well.
“I have Lila.” Zaphkiel was quick to answer, but then added; “none of my people are left. If that’s what you’re asking…”
Thirteen felt cold, they really liked asking dumb questions didn’t they– “hahahaha~! I’m sorry, you should see your face.” Zaphkiel broke the silence suddenly clearly finding enjoyment in making them squirm. “As I said… this all happened plenty of years ago, I’m not offended by your curiosity.” He was… a bit mean, Thirteen realized. Probably product of living alone for so long.
Zaphkiel went about unsaddling Lila, removing the reigns and the blankets, and a careful covering over her colorful folded wings, that stretched out and flapped once released. He stashed away the bags and provisions from her saddle inside a stable-looking, dry foliage covered, structure, and petted her goodbye as he closed and locked the place behind her too.
The already imposing entrance had nothing on the actual Palace. It was dusty and the wide halls and tall ceilings were echo-y lone, but the masacre that time and fog and darkness had created of the rest of the kingdom hadn’t reached behind the locked doors of this fortress. Zaphkiel disposed of his armor and a small weapon, leaving him down to his simple slate garments and long, skinny body, and showed him the empty rooms. The rooms where the town had clearly all settled to sleep in and cook and look after each other, the rooms frozen in their once royal service.
“When the fog first blocked the sun and natural disasters hit at least half our population perished, when the first monsters appeared is when my people first hid away in here–”
Something wasn’t right- “you– were here when it all began?” Thirteen turned to Zaphkiel suddenly, stopping short their admiration of the painted ceilings. “Does– do your people live–?”
“This long?” Zaphkiel smiles like he’s in on a secret. “Not usually. The punishment that befell us actually froze time for us; which is why I’ve taken it upon myself to keep people away… it’s easy to get lost in here when you can’t tell time is still running out there. Not many are dumb enough to actually come in deep enough to run into any actual danger, but every few years…” And Zaph throws them a pointed look that has color coming to their cheeks.
He leads them to a wider, glass-ceiling, room with pillars and long tables and chairs. A room that feels colder than all others, with floors and walls overgrown with foliage just like the outside, except here there’s actual greenery and life. Rich roots and thick leaves filling the space they’ve carved into the stone and the luxury; all guiding up to an elevated space where a figure sits on an ornate throne, two smaller, empty sits beside it. Is this…?
Zaphkiel guides Thirteen along still but ditches the storytelling for a reverantial silence, making his way up to the thrones in greeting, “Father.” He bows to the quiet, root-covered man.
As Thirteen gets closer they start to truly see the resemblance; the man looks clearly older and more square-bodied, but everything else is there. “You never told me you’re a prince.” Thirteen mutters suddenly, wondering if they’d been out of place in any way in the past hour or so since they met.
“Was a prince. There’s no kingdom left to rule, and… the royal family paid their dues. The people paid our dues.” Zaphkiel’s tone is more solemn now, still unfazed even as he traces a gentle hand down his father’s frozen cheek. “I’m just Zaphkiel these days.”
They continue with their touring through the palace as it had before, but Thriteen finds they’re even more confused now than they were before they came into the forest at all. Paid what dues? Who punished these people? What exactly has the power to do this to a whole town?
“The love I have for my father doesn’t bury his misdeeds. We were prideful, and pride suffocated all of us.” Is all he ever bothered to say, and, this time, Thirteen couldn’t fathom asking further.
It must’ve been hours before Zaphkiel announced he had nothing left to show them; after stories of the palace’s construction, and the grandiose events held upon the townsquare, and a quiet mention of a Queen lost far before the fog.
Zaph prepared Lila back up and took them both outside the royal grounds through the same hidden passage they’d entered; Lila trotting happily along the wider expanse of the forest as they made their way through. Answering all types of creature-related questions from Thirteen, no less; but the ex-royal seemed to mind little, answering as best as he could as each creature they saw from afar fueled their curious mind further.
“...they only feed off old cadavers, however, so they’re almost harmless… well– so far as you stay away from their eggs–”
A small whimper interrupted them, or Thirteen, at least; Zaphkiel’s tail had flicked in reaction but nothing more; while they searched the branches for the source.
“Probably a common bat,” Zaphkiel attempts to fullfill their curiosity, “leave it–”
…be. ‘Leave it be.’ Zaph intended to say, before Thirteen dropped off Lila’s back to bolt in a thick, concave tree’s direction. “This boy–” Zaph rolled his eyes at the not-there sky, prepping himself for a rescue that would be stopped short by the lump of muddish fur and bone in Thirteen’s arms.
“It’s… a rot-hound pup.” They explain unnecessarily, given that Zaphkiel’s the very one who’s just taught them about the species. “Didn’t you say they’re not safe left alone?”
Zaph sighs, calmer now that nothing too bad is about to happen; “there are plenty of predators in this forest… perhaps its pack got hunted down.” He observes Thirteen for a second before adding; “I don’t suggest you keep it.”
“Can’t another pack take him?”
“I’m no expert, but rot-hound pups are left behind a lot for other reasons, they have plentiful litters I imagine the parents aren’t too worried about losing a few. Or adopting any more for that matter.” And he sighs when Thirteen’s hold on the yipping pup doesn’t budge, “we can try if we see another pack… but it could take days to find and that guy doesn’t have that time.”
Thirteen frowns down at the soft skin of the pup, Zaphkiel’s probably just urging him to leave it behind to its luck to avoid them any pain of seeing the little one die… but they don’t seem to be lying. They didn’t see a single other rot-hound on their long way back, except for this guy, and they do seem to be lacking the rowdiness a youngling should have. It’s crazy to think nature would give this guy another chance.
“I want to help it then.” And before Zaph can say anything more, Thirteen continues; “I know its chances are low, but if its gonna die anyway… I guess I got nothing to lose trying.”
There’s a pause, where Zaph’s blue eyes seem to observe the area around Thirteen in a fresh light; “you’re really something, aren’t you?” This time it really feels like a compliment.
Thirteen’s wrapped the pup up with a thin blanket from their travel bag, securing it to their shoulders and back so it doesn’t move much on the way back out; Lila makes a quicker way to the edge. Zaphkiel makes little conversation now, to focus on the quickest route to the exit, only throwing a couple questions Thirteen’s way that get him little explanations to who they are; what with their amnesia and everything. Understanding seemed to finally settle in about Thirteen’s odd name, at least.
There’s a few voices coming from afar, and as Lila trots on, and the light starts finally reaching in through the trees, it becomes clear that Chromo was a lot more worried than he let on.
“A rescue party,” Zaphkiel muses as they close in within their sight, Chromo and a few other townspeople clammoring when they notice them approach. “I’m more intrigued by you by the minute.” He adds in with a little smile thrown over his shoulder.
Chromo meets them halfway with stompy hooves, much to Zaphkiel’s relief; his darkness-accostumed eyes squinting already as the sun starts to reach them. The centaur’s jaw clenches as he seems to analyze the situation, and exhales with annoyed relief once he sees Thirteen perched, and in one piece, behind the stranger.
It doesn’t hide his, or anyone in his party’s, alarm at learning the forest’s inhabitants aren’t down to zero like they’ve believed all this time.
“Thank you,” Chromo stresses, reaching back to grab Thirteen under the armpits – a tad more forcefully than strictly necessary, in their opinion – to pull them off the moth, “for not allowing them to die.” And the centaur makes a point to send an angry look their way. Look that becomes puzzled the second they noticed the live lump of cloth on their arms.
Thirteen smiles wide before stepping out of reach, “this is Za–” they try to change the subject, before their voice falls, uncertain if Zaphkiel would like to be known at all.
“Zaphkiel,” he introduces himself, after all. And Thirteen watches with a lightly pinched brow as realization, surprise, confusion and then a quiet resolution to simply not question anything anymore all happens to Chromo’s face.
“Chromo.” He reaches out his hand, decided to make this a simple introduction and not get pulled into Thirteen’s search for hidden truths.
“Don’t worry about Thirteen, they’re not coming here any longer, they promised.” Zaphkiel looks their way with the face of one who knows curiosity’s bound to bring them to danger eventually. Thirteen tries to look as the most trustworthy– won’t get in trouble kind of person they can be, until another question comes to mind.
“Does everyone just call this ‘Kingdom’? Surely it had a name, once.”
Zaphkiel has to lean in, covering his face as if to hide the secret from the centaur; “that’s the point of an extinguishing curse, no one seems to be able to remember, not even me.” He reincorporates with a satisfied grin, letting Thirteen to wonder as they retrieve with the rest of the party.
“I’ll make damn sure they keep their promise, at least.” Chromo declares, attempting at thankful appeasing.
All seems to end well, when Zaphkiel takes back his hold of Lila’s reigns, seemingly readying himself to leave; before he stops short with a mischievous glint to his eye. “Can’t say I’ll completely disapprove of them coming around again… could give us some time for a proper chat.”
And the wink Zaphkiel sends Chromo’s way ruffles the centaur's feathers so deeply, he doesn’t even question the rot-hound in Thirteen’s arms on the way back to the village.
~✨~
What can I say uwu I like shipping my ocs together in all sorts of ways✨ Also, idk if I mentioned this, but there's no linear story to this whole universe. My intentions with this is to draw/write separate stories about 13 travelling the world, all connected of course but I may jump around in the timeline a whole bunch depending on what kind of place and creatures I want to write :>cc
Anyway! There'll be more of Zaph (and even Zaph x Chromo 🤭) in the future, but for now,, this is it on the Haunted Forest :>cc Hope you enjoyed this longer piece of writing💕

NEW OCCCC
TWS FOR STRICT/UNHEALTHY PARENTS, EMOTIONAL REPRESSION, UNHEALTHY MINDSETS, ETC
Tumblr media
So this is Mauve—she is around the Hatzgangs age. She is actually the biological child of Lila and Skiddad, however due to reasons unknown, she was lost from them and made to be taken care of by some members of the cult. However, the couple who took her in ended up escaping the cult, and are now trying to live peacefully without being caught by them again. Due to reasons unknown though, Mauve has recently been sent to live with Roy's family, since Carmen & Richard happened to actually be friends with the couple. Though they may or may not have also made a bit of a deal in exchange for taking care of her while her parents are kinda gone.
Mauve is very mature, overly cold, monotone, and shows little to no emotion. She's very hard working but takes things a bit too seriously, and forces herself to act like an adult half the time even though she's a child. And anytime she dares act immature or let's her emotions get the better of her, she scolds herself for being so childish or apologizes for being so childish. Mauve tends to bow or shake hands with people when first meeting them. And takes every task she's given very seriously. She takes school very seriously, assignments very seriously, etc etc.
She happens to know French, Spanish, and Latin. Her favorite food is steak, with her favorite drink being literally coffee or tea. She constantly overworks herself for the sake of being professional—and takes every single one of her classes very seriously. She treats her classmates like they're co-workers rather than just other kids. And she also secretly listens to really cute lofi music. Her hobbies are writing, researching, and reading. And Mauve is so serious about everything because she wants to succeed, get into a great university and be successful in general. But it's also because this is what her adoptive parents want as well. Her adoptive parents constantly kinda pressure her into acting 'mature', which is why she's so insecure about being childish sometimes and never allows herself to act like a kid. She even straight up tells people that she's not a child and doesn't want to be spoken to like one whenever she's treated like a kid.
Robert happens to have a bit of a crush on Mauve because he finds her pretty, and only kinda gets to know her through Roy (who has a bit of an awkward relationship with her considering she just recently started to live at his house). But I imagine they become actual friends over time. Also yeah Mauve does like him too but represses it because she's supposed to be 'focused on her goals, not love'.
Her parents do mean well and ultimately want the best for her, but their constant pressuring and strictness toward her is very obviously making her mental state unhealthy. To the point where anytime she feels herself near the verge of crying or showing anger, she becomes irritated at herself and makes herself keep it down.
Other facts about her—
1. She knows Lila and Skid already since Skid & Pump happened to run into her on the street and dragged her along during one of their adventures after they caught her reading a 'spooky looking' book. And has a slight sibling-like relationship with them where she protects them a lot.
2. She is very much capable of defending herself and takes self defense classes. She jogs frequently, and exercises.
3. She likes to go outside and watch nature sometimes if it's a peaceful day.
4. She may or may not be kinda buddies with Susie?? Their friendship is a bit of a slow burn tho.
5. She's unaware that she's adopted.
6. Her favorite color is purple (unsurprisingly).
7. She is skilled at basically everything in her school since she forces herself to pay attention a lot, but she is mainly skilled in Algebra and English.
8. She has very stiff body language in general. And she's also touch starved, but at the same time doesn't like being touched.
9. Her catch phrase is—"How childish of me.." since she says that a lot anytime she's scolding herself.

the fact that we, the audience, are so privy to how much five would and could and has and will kill and die for the safety of his family is not actually something mirrored by the other characters. this information is communicated to us, the audience, because we get to see the scene where five finds the corpses of his siblings. we get to see him kill an entire room full of people to ensure their survival. we watch him do these things.
but the other characters do not... and in fact, five goes out of his way to make sure that they don't know. when speaking to them, the framing is about saving "the world". the only time five concedes individual life in spoken dialogue is when he manipulates allison by pointing out "the world that claire lives in" in season 1. five lies to his siblings, manipulates them, yells at them, berates them, and is generally cruel and uncaring about their struggles. allison's grief in season 3 is pretty singularly his fault. and he doesn't really care, ultimately. because hes not fighting to make his siblings happy, hes fighting to keep them alive. in five's mind, the ends justify the means. always.
but this does not foster love between him and his siblings. regardless of how we can extrapolate his behavior and identify how he cares for them, from their perspective, hes an asshole who's mean to them a lot. and even from his perspective, his siblings are, genuinely, an obstacle in their own survival. because he won't explain himself to them (ergo making them resistant to listening to him), and, truly, because he's willing to make difficult decisions they either can't or won't, he sees himself as the arbiter of their survival, and not in an entirely loving way; it's half the resentment of the parent of reckless, feckless children, disciplining the children to keep them alive
is this accurate? in some ways yes, in some ways no. but its how he feels about them. so yeah, hes willing to be mean to his siblings. hes willing to hurt them. he has and he can and he will hurt them, knowingly and on purpose. five is selfish. he takes what he wants and damn anyone who gets in his way. its just that, in s1-s3, what he wants is the survival of his siblings (and he even damns them for getting in his way, too).
so "five would never" .... ehhhh......................He might. He might............. you'd need to sell it to me a bit more... but, would LILA though? thats the real question
