A few kids in the crowd beside me breathed oohs and ahhs as she greeted the locals and walked to the market square’s podium. She only had one visible earned mark, triangular and pointing down from her lips to her chin. I remembered being like the kids beside me, in awe of visitors from the capital. Now, though, it just made me wary.

I rotated so my face went under the surface, opening my eyes to see through the crystal clear water. Beneath the dirt floor, I could see glimpses of red, heat rising. The heat here, the last of the extinct volcano, was as ancient as this temple. The shamans and monks used their connection to water to keep it alive, to keep it warm and clean and clear.

Happy Storyteller Saturday! What is your favourite "girl boss"-moment of Philippa?

I haven't written much yet, I'm only at half of the second chapter but these two moments I have written so far are so good!:

“My name is Frank, by the way.” He smiled and bowed out of habit. “What is yours?” “None of your business.” Phillipa smirked, sassy. “Hey! I am trying to be friendly here.” Frank laughed back. “This is what you get for being friendly with a stranger you just met.” “Fair.” Frank surrendered. “But really, what is your name?”

“You did WHAT?!” Victoria raised her voice at Phillipa, visibly upset with her friend. “Frank!? Is it his name?” Anna asked, her concern being somewhere else. “Not. Now. Anna.” Victoria said through gritted teeth and pinched the bridge of her nose. “Well, I do not want to talk about it now, either, Victoria.” Phillipa looked Victoria dead in the eye, put her hat on and walked past her to follow Thea to the kitchens.

I write: daily | most days | a few times a week | a few times a month | random

I write most often: when I first get up | later in the morning | afternoon | evening | the wee hours of the night | whenever

In one sitting, I tend to write: a few sentences at a time | a few hundred words | a few thousand words | a complete chapter/ section no matter how long | an outline | whatever comes

I tend to write scenes: in chronological order with no skipping | mostly in order but with some filler/skipping | whatever scene I feel like | who knows what’s gonna come out   

The things that comes easiest to me are: dialogue | description of senses | description of action | description of characters | exposition | other

I tend to write: on a phone | on a laptop | in a notebook | on whatever paper I can find | with speech to text | in the blood of my enemies | it doesn’t really matter to me | on paper first and then typed up | old school typewriter | on a computer

When I take a break from writing, it usually lasts: a few days | a few weeks | a few months | it’s kind of random

My favorite thing to do when I’m on a writing break is: recharge with other creative hobbies | read/consume other media | do something physical | catch up with old friends | work on my WIP in other ways like with playlists or art | other

In general, I think my writing habits are: pretty much what I need them to be | okay, but I’m working on making them better | non-existent | not great | i’m excited to develop them further | totally random | perfect for me

i bookmark fics on ao3 for recommendation here :) i have a bunch of fics open at the moment that i will one day get through but these are my faves atm

READ AFTERMATH!! the clemvi in it isnt the focus but its such a good clem healing fic everyone is written so well 😭😭 i think its my fave out of all of them 🥺💕 (warning its still currently updating. the only fic on the list that isnt complete but its just that good)

and i am currently writing a new fic right now 😏 its gonna take me a while which is why i havent talked about it much 💀 but im writing a 2 week fic. its basically completely outlined and im almost done with chapter 1 (which is over 9000 words unedited 💀 i kind of want them to feel like full eps), but i dont plan on posting it until its finished since itll take so long and i dont want to leave people waiting for as long as the last one took between chapters 🫣 (when its done i'll release it chapter by chapter probably weekly). heres some snippets from the first chapter 😏 im having a lot of fun with it actually its like im getting whole new episodes 😭 i plan on it being 14 chapters one for each day. real slow burn 😏

i actually have a lot of ideas written out in my notes but havent decided if they should be comics or fics or boards 🤔 all these outlines just sitting around... 😔 one day...
