Hi, It was my birthday 6 days ago.

It's really late ik, i was busy with Uni and tests 😭 I wanted to make a post to appreciate all the tumblr and game creators that made this year worth it for me! This year was a bit of a dumpster fire for me, I've been struggling with shitty thoughts and depleting motivation but I've gotten through it with the help of video games and stories. These include the visual novels and original characters that I've come to appreciate and love. I've always loved stories and attached myself to fictional characters (haha not very healthy but yea) and seeing so many different and interesting original characters on tumblr is very inspiring to me. It's motivated me to draw more often and to think of my own stories. To all the creators I've mentioned, Thank you. Thank you for saving my creativity and giving me something to be happy about. I'll continue to support your creations :)

And here's the game I've been working on for Pirate Software's game jam!! :D

You work as a researcher for the mysterious Daedalus Laboratory. You send plants into different worlds to see how the worlds affecting them. However, recently you noticed that most of your coworkers have disappeared, including your lab supervisor.

Still, you have to keep working to prevent termination. Will you be able to balance work and communicating with the employees who remain?

This game is part of the Let Me Remind You series that I am working, which are games about art, nostalgia, guilt, and memory.

This game also features some new characters to the Let Me Remind You universe and...Zecharias in a new outfit? Hmm.

Due to the deadline, the game is a demo and has a few issues I need to fix. I will try to fix them in the next update. As it is, the game is completely playable, and I hope you will enjoy it. ^^

Zecharias Theory

Before I start rambling, I do want to say that surprisingly a song lyric was what inspired me to write this theory because it made me think of Zecharias and therefore my brain started going off the charts with theorizing. I’ve also wanted to do something with Zecharias for a while now so if this also ends up being a analysis and also a theory at the same time then yall gonna have to deal with it.

Now you might be thinking how this made me go into full theory mode. So let me explain.

It’s been mentioned a few times/implied that Zecharias has had muses before MC and in the NSFW alphabet it has even mentioned somebody but I’ve only seen who ever this person is mentioned in this one part and hasn't even been asked about smh.

“He hasn't been able to meet a lot of other people, much less get the chance to do the deed with them. At most, he likely could have done it with one person, but they're as inexperienced as he is.

Who is this person? Well, you’ll find out in the game. :>”

But here’s my thing, if what we know about Zecharias not being human then he’s probably immortal especially that I’ve noticed a few implications that he might be a god or demi-god (Hell, bring Percy Jackson into this and say possibly half-blood.) with one part of Be My Muse and there was a few lines about MC being into greek mythology and he brought up the god Mnenmosyne. (HELP I JUST REALIZED THAT'S HIS LAST NAME WHY AM I ONLY PUTTING THIS TOGETHER WHILE I'M WRITING THIS) Well now that I just figured that out it just puts more evidence to back up my theory and of course with all of those powers he has and everything. Now I know that in the SFW alphabet did somewhat imply that he would die for MC if it was to protect them but I think that just might have been figurative language. .

Zecharias eats people too, but it’s also been said he just does this as a way to survive so I’m not about to bash him about that.

ANYWAYS, Finally to my main theory that made me write this. Zecharias is likely immortal or lives for a very long time. But (from what we know) all of his muses have been human including MC. It makes me wonder what happened to the old muses, I mean of course it’s very likely they died inside of the backrooms, maybe from old age or something else. BUT that also brings the question of what happened to their bodies so going back to the lyrics that made me think up of this theory. I think it’s very possible that Zecharias could have probably eaten the old muses? Since its for his survival to eat humans and him being obsessed with them could prove this. Or he might just have those fuckers stored somewhere in the backrooms lmao.

I don’t know what else to go on about without going into a full analysis of Zecharias which would include me going more into what we know about his backstory so far and me explaining his motives and all that good stuff but I guess I’ll see how this theory does before starting to write all of that jfnlaajan.

Also keep in mind that this is all a theory, A YANDERE VN THEORY- *gets hit with fridge*

On a scale, he's probably around an 8

He'll be towering above you with a whip and say, "Look how red your skin is, fufu. Maybe this will teach you a lesson. Oh...those tears in your eyes, fufu. I'll soothe that skin now."

Ayato: He's very possessive, he wants everyone to know you are his, so he definitely doesn't mind being in public. But he's also possessive that the mere idea of someone seeing your body or even hearing you moan drives him up the wall. Really what he'd do is make sure your neck is covered in hickeys and bite marks and remind you at any given opportunity that those marks make you his possession, and his alone. He's shy with feelings, not shy with sex, but he also doesn't flirt about sex the same way some other diaboys would. It's more like "hey let's have sex now."

So I'd put him around a 5 honestly

Something he probably would do is make sure your hair is in a ponytail, that way everyone can see the marks on your throat from his fangs and lips. He'd admire them as you take a walk in the park together and say something like,

"Good thing you're wearing a ponytail, now everyone sees Ore-Sama's bite marks claiming you. I really have the best ideas, don't I? Are you getting shy? The Great Me will hold your hand, be grateful."

Kanato: Also very sexually explicit, but in a more romantic way. He likes the physical pleasure and the connectedness that comes with it. He rivals, if not surpasses, Ayato in possessiveness, so definitely nothing in public. And it's "let's become one" not "let's fuck" with Kanato.

So on a dirty talking scale I'd put him at like a 2

He'd lay you down in the moonlight, undress you, and say, "Take my skin in your teeth as I take yours in mine. Let us mold our bodies together to become one."

Laito: Suuuper flirtatious and he also likes the idea of public sex, but he still doesn't dirty talk. He sees it as a game or romantic but not dirty talking like "You like it when I fuck you?" what he would say is, "That shameful face as I slam into you...how adorable."

So like a 3???

Another example of how he talks would be him walking in on you undressing for a bath and saying, "Aw, Bitch-Chan, you're naked! Are you cold? I can see those nipples perking, mm. Let's take a warm bath together, fufu."

Subaru: He's a tsundere, but he can actually be very flirtatious and straight-forward about sex in the visual novels. His dirty talk is more similar to Shu.

Factoring in how he's a tsundere, I'll put him at a 7

An example would be you both are laying in his coffin and he gets hard and he'll say,

"Well? T-touch it! It ain't gonna take care of itself ya know. And it's your own fault I'm gettin' all worked up in the first place, heh. So take some responsibility."

Hello Mr Neil,

I want to share how I feel about Sherryl the supermodel from Good Omens. You've answered a question previously when someone felt that her representation was lacking empathy (re the visual effects note in the script book, although the scene was cut), and I want to offer my thoughts to help people who felt that way about Sherryl.

The book (Good Omens, not the scripts, which I haven't read) plays with dark topics and makes them absurd and fun, aiming the jabs at the systems that (mis)guide or harm people (there are Beliefs, the People who Believe them, and the odd ways of living that make sense to them). Famine's D-Plan sums up the diet industry and a culture of starvation: of course we don't laugh /at/ Sherryl, we understand (because of everything the novel sets up) that like every other human she does her best with the frameworks she's got. It's empathetic, because that's what Good Omens is. Understanding that let me reframe the knee-jerk reaction I had on my first read of the scene in the book.

[For the TV show, though, as you've explained in the past, certain things had to be adapted to the time. I wonder sometimes - because I know that you do these things well - how you felt about approaching Sherryl nearly 30 years later.]

I think the trouble for me was that the scene in the book felt cruel at first. Now, I think 'A skeleton in a Dior dress' beautifully sums up the sacrifice of her humanity to become New York's top model. It's death dressed up - that's how such extremely-ill supermodels *should* appear to us if only we were unblinkered. One should see plainly the actual violence in an emaciated person's appearance. Maybe growing up with early 2000s aggressive body-shaming British TV shows and an overweight mother of Sherryl's generation as well as personal experience of anorexia made the 'skeleton' image feel cruel, now-overdone and recognisable to the nastiest unhealed bits in my psyche.

I think the frightened human animal in me initially recoiled from the dehumanisation. The pit of me jerked at the descriptions of Sherryl that felt like real insults, pulled straight from mainstream body-shaming media of my formative years. Of course, Good Omens predates this - thin was in, religiously, and the scene was subversive then - but that was my initial bodily feeling, not a thoughtful response. I describe it to illustrate where the challenge was, after we've gone from skinny worship in the 90s, to domestic skinny enforcement, to skinny shame, to wherever we are now in the popular orthorexic fitness culture and clean-eating minefield etc etc. Starvation dehumanises, and Sherryl was sick to the point of being inhuman - the scene under a microscope might feel complicit in dehumanisation to the sensibilities of teens and young adults today (for the same reason that people in Trafalgar Square can't see England), but within the book it humanises Sherryl by showing you plainly what awful thing has happened to her.

What the book did for me was let me delight in a sense of humour that makes difficult things totally absurd and therefore perfectly understandable. It told me, everyone is doing their best (to the best of their understanding), and when the fun-poking poked at my own pressure points, it said, lovingly, yes, you too. Many things about the book are like laughing with a friend or receiving a warm hug - it makes the big things so silly, and shared, and okay.

(I'm reminded of the only time I was ever at a high fashion event, where I found myself profoundly shocked by the incredible thinness of the models, and how sorry for them I felt, and how I wanted to feed them soup and stew and sandwiches. And of a high fashion model I knew a little, when she went out with a friend of mine, who told me that some girls she knew used heroin to stop the hunger pains, injecting themselves between their toes, and later I learned that my friend broke up with her when he learned she was a heroin addict.)

i need you all to listen to me. you know how youtube will sometimes randomly recommend videos with like, 58 views? sometimes the stars align and the fucked up algorithm does something right.

go out there and watch a smaller mcyter. sub-100k at the bare minimum, but ideally under 10k and even more ideally under 1000 subs. bonus points if they have in the low 100s to under 100 subscribers. watch whatever video you got recommended. watch another of theirs if you vibe with it. pick a specific series of theirs that you really like. subscribe to them.

now. this is really important. leave comments on the video or series you like. do a running gag if it helps remind you to comment. and more important than that: pick a story they're telling and engage with it. draw silly fanart even if you don't have any place to share it with them. write a tiny little story and keep it all to yourself. hype them up to your friends. get excited about this person's videos. if they do have a discord or whatever, send fanart, get involved in their community, et cetera, just --

i cannot stress enough how good it feels to have at least one tiny niche thing that's your special thing. it rules. the more you can get the better, in all honesty it doesn't even have to be an mcyter it could be an itch.io visual novel or something, just pick something obscure you stumble onto and hold it close and let it tell its story.
