It's Jisung's English Composition class. He sits at the farthest back table on his own, tapping away at his laptop as the teacher discusses some concept he couldn't care less about. He hears some ruckus past his airpods, but ignores it in favor of listening to the music that's playing. That is, until, a figure covered in pink and white stands directly behind his screen. It's very obvious that the person is looking at him, but he tries to ignore it hoping that they will just go away.

It's not until the person's hand reaches out and waves in front of his screen that he finally looks up. As his eyes trail up the person's body he slowly realizes who it is. When their eyes meet, it finally clicks. Y/N L/N. The popular girl who is friends with "everybody" and dresses in short, short skirts with thigh highs and her stupid Hello Kitty pendant necklace that falls perfectly between her boobs. It should be my face there.

His eyes move to the top of her head, glancing at the fluffy pink scrunchie that holds her hair together in two pigtails. Then they move lower, catching her shiny eyes that are risen at the edges from her smile. And- oh. Her smile.. The one that is created from those pretty plump lips covered in a pinkish-red tinted gloss. He starts to picture what they would look like wrapped around his-

"My group was being loud so we got separated for the rest of the semester.. Is that seat taken?" Her hair bounces as she turns to him, those pretty lips taking all his attention again as he watches them move with every word. "My name's Y/N L/N. You're... Han! Right?" We had statistics together last semester, but we didn't get the chance to talk at all." 

"Oh. You remember that class?" He grimaces and rubs the back of his neck, zoning out after she nods. He suddenly remembered the presentation for the final his group had to do in that class, And he vividly remembers the hard-on he had during it. Feeling a little more relaxed, he allows his eyes to flutter closed. Immediately images of her flood his mind. People in this community need to get off their purity high horses and realize that everyone experiences regression differently and not everyone will fit in their imaginary box of the perfect regression experience.

I’ve only been active in this community for less than a week, but I’ve already gotten a purity anon clutching their pearls over my interests that aren’t Bluey or Sanrio, literally accusing me of supporting the same trauma I went through all because I enjoy a show?? Learn some media literacy and understand that I can skip past certain scenes that I am in fact made uncomfortable by and still enjoy other parts of a show.

The hypocrisy on display here is almost laughable to me. It’s fine that many regressors like the notoriously foul mouth, r-rated character of Deadpool because it’s popular right now, but I like to watch an (also very popular right now) show for the cool dragons, costumes and a few characters I enjoy but because it has some dark topics suddenly I’m a freak who shouldn’t be allowed in the community?

Literally get over yourselves, you're not “better” than anyone for bullying others, you’re literally acting the same as the trolls I’ve seen harass the community, just doing it in a more disgusting way. Acting like you care, like you’re just a concerned member of the community when you really remind me more of my manipulative abusers.

It’s baffling to me that in a community of people just trying to heal, you’re willing to hold others back just because they don’t match your idea of a perfect regressor.

Anyways, shoutout to the few friends I’ve already made, (esp @bunnelbaby, you rock!!) the cool people with amazing skill, interests and seemingly infinite kindness, you’re the majority of the community I’m glad to have already encountered. And ofc shoutout to the other regressors like me, those who enjoy adult-targeted media and such, you’re perfectly valid and I’m sure a very cool person as well!!

Regressor Risotto Headcanons!

- Risotto began regressing involuntarily at the age of 14 after his cousin died. At that time he only understood that for some reason he still liked playing with toys sometimes, especially the ones he and his cousin shared together (I headcanon they lived next to eachother). He learned what regression is when La Squadra was formed and he realized a few other members did the thing as well. Melone was the scapegoat assigned by them who had to explain regression to the Capo - and thus, to his surprise, he became one of Risotto's caregivers, the other being Prosciutto.

- Risotto is small, and by this I mean small small. His age range is 1-3 and he's a very quiet baby which is both a blessing and a curse... because he's a toddler who can become invisible. There's been a lot of frantic running (Prosciutto) and spraying water everywhere (Melone) in a poor attempt to find him as Risotto simply played under the desk.

- He loves Sanrio and even has a few plushies of the most popular characters, along with themed pjs and a Hello Kitty bottle. And bedsheets. And pretty much everything else Melone can find; he's the one who regularly adds to Risotto's collection. Prosciutto dissaproves of this since it affects their budget, so now they just steal the merch🤷

- Risotto enjoys napping and playing with metal animal figurines he makes with Metallica. He also likes watching shows for very young children, such as "Mio Mao" and "Maisy". When it comes to playing with others, he'd rather not because it's often too loud for him. He gets along well with little Pesci though as their age ranges are similar.

- NEVER lets go of his hat, even in his sleep he clutches it in one hand. He loves the sound of the bells! It also serves a practical purpose - little Risotto is far less careful, so even if he's invisible the jingling gives away his hiding spot so his cgs have an easier time.

Different takes I have based on my interests and other miscellaneous things because I’m bored.

•Bill Cipher is never getting redeemed, ever, I adore his character but I can admit when my faves are horrible people. Oh and the way some people write the Handyman Bill au makes me REALLY uncomfortable as an abuse survivor. Why do some people write it like it’s the Pines family’s responsibility for Bill’s actions? Thats so fucked, especially with Ford (the ones where they basically shit talk Bill the entire time he’s at the Mystery Shack is funny as fuck though more of that please)

•The “Jax is an NPC” theory is boring and it would make him a lot less compelling as a character if that was the case

•You can still love Danganronpa and admit that the fanservice (ESPECIALLY the stuff with Mikan) is gross

•DNI lists will inevitably attract the people in those lists to harass and piss off whoever the account is and that’s why I don’t use them

•The original Monster flavour tastes like condensed piss and I will never understand the people who drink it when every other flavour soloes it by comparison

•The second half of the Death Note anime isn’t bad at all people were just too busy huffing on L copium to care, also, Mello was one of the best characters in the entire show

•Most of Killstar’s collaborations are terrible, the Monster High collection is one of the most disappointing things I’ve ever seen and it all looks so uninspired and bland (they saved themselves a bit with the second Gloomy Bear collab they did but most of the designs for their collabs are really tacky).

•Hear me outs are becoming incredibly sterilised, there’s a big difference between a hear me out and a character you find attractive

•Also, humans (both real and fictional) along with any Hellaverse characters do not count as hear me outs (to me anyway I’m not the hear me out police)

•Ultrakill will be seen as one of the greatest games of all time once it’s fully released, it is an absolute masterclass in immersion and presentation and the soundtrack is one of the best I’ve ever heard

•I like the DHMIS show a bit more than the web series

•Resellers need to be called out more, I’ll probably make a separate post talking about this more but it gets BAD. Not all of them are bad (especially on Vinted) but the overcharging in certain fandoms is insane (especially with Sanrio stuff it’s actually disgusting)

•Lloromannic have the potential to be some of the most popular Sanrio characters of all time but their potential goes nowhere

•Prima is one of the most misused Vocaloids of all time and it HURTS. When she’s used properly she sounds GORGEOUS but most people use her for pop stuff and she sounds awful there. Shes an OPERALOID, she’s meant for OPERA. Stop misusing her (I also don’t like any of her designs I’m sorry-)

•SeeU is also very underrated, Alone is one of my favourite Vocaloid songs it’s really vibey

•Monster High G3 is very overhated. There are still some designs I don’t like (Iris’ design hurts me, the character with the same body type as me gets the weakest outfit fuck 💀) but its representation is really good (Twyla not being shamed for needing headphones in loud spaces made me so happy)

•ROTTMNT’s version of Donatello is some of the best autism rep I’ve ever seen, I’ve never identified with an autistic character more than I have with him and the fact that the show’s in limbo makes me really upset

•Robo Fizz’ design > normal Fizz’ design

•I don’t care how many songs you give Stolas I will always see Octavia as the victim in that situation and the fact that the crew see her as a “cock block” pisses me off

•Phosphophyllite will go down as one of the greatest protagonists in recent memory, their story is heartbreaking and no one in that manga deserved a happy ending more than them

•Vinted is the best reseller app and it’s not even close

•I don’t care if Art The Clown never gets a backstory, he’s a silly little guy who kills people in horrific ways and I’m fine with that

•Making it a rule to not talk about certain fandoms on big Discord servers is fucking useless, an old autism server I was on went to shit when this happened, just ignore them and move on

•The addictive nature of Character AI needs to be talked about more, I’ve only began to realise how bad it is recently, it’s negatively affected my writing abilities, do NOT download it (especially if you’re mentally ill) you WILL get addicted to it and it isn’t fun. I’ve deleted it and I’m going to try to get into better habits, never again

• William Afton is an evil bastard and that’s okay, he never needed any redeemable traits and I really like that they’re making him do some Saturday morning cartoon level shit while also making him a threat (The Golden Bite in Into The Pit is as funny as it is horrific)

•I don’t care how many times the Fnaf games will try and gaslight me into seeing the Pinkypills Afton design as him, I will ALWAYS picture Matthew Lillard when thinking of this character (also I never want to see any Pinkypills or Ladyfiszi art in the games ever again they’re terrible people and they should’ve gotten fired years ago)

•Rage bait is the key factor in what made the internet a significantly more miserable place, start saying pizza with random fruit on is good again stop with the racist and misogynistic bullshit

•CaseOh being one of the most popular streamers right now brings me joy, in a time where so many male streamers are some of the most miserable and out of touch cunts in existence, having one of the most popular ones be a seemingly normal and chill guy is so refreshing

•I respect Illumination as a studio a lot more than others would think, in an age where horror stories are coming out surrounding every animation studio in existence, I have yet to hear one about Illumination. Do I like their movies? Not really (some of them are kind of fun and the Sing movies are guilty pleasures) but they seem a lot more ethical than other studios (also they’ve openly mocked AI that’s fucking awesome lmao)

•Murder Drones needed more episodes/time to explore certain ideas, that final episode felt like a SEASON finale, not a SERIES finale (no complaints about Cyn though I adore her)

•The art style change to Soul Eater to Soul Eater Not! Will go down as one of the biggest downgrades in history

In November 2024 we had a Sanrio-themed party.

I learned how to temper chocolate and made a bunch of sweets and cupcakes. We all dressed like a sanrio character: We had 2 Kuromis and 2 Cinamarolls, and 1 KeroKeroKeroppi. I'm gonna do someone less popular next time hahaaa. We had a handmade Hello Kitty pinata to annihilate, and played some games.

Pochacco came yesterday! I washed his clothes before dressing him just to be safe, because his clothes are a little darker than the other Sanrio outfits I have. I wouldn't want him to get stained! A little dye did leech into the water when I washed and soaked them, so I'm glad I took that precaution.

Pochacco is super cute and fluffy, and his safety eyes and nose give him such a cute expression! His ears are nice and floppy, and he's a good shape for hugging. The BaB body type suits him well! I do wish he had his little paw pads, but they gotta have the logo so it's not surprising that he doesn't have the beans.

Not sure if it's because he's a less popular character or if it's because BaB is actually making enough to keep up with demand, but it's nice to see that he didn't sell out in like a day and is even in stores now! Hopefully BaB continues this trend of anticipated releases being well-stocked.

I did a little doodle of Pochacco on a skateboard! I experimented with a different pen brush this time, it's a little wonky here and there but I think it's cute anyway!

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

He is just like me fr when it comes to the creating process. I can't relate to artists like Albedo and whatnot who does things so neatly— there's more of a "you get me" factor watching Mr. Reca go nuts and crazy excited when making films. That's how I've always felt when I'm writing or drawing. I usually do a gremlin laugh when writing tragedies lmao. I just relate to him on several aspects (not all), like having a lil amphibian as an assistant. One of my old goals was to make a children's storybook with a lil grumpy old frog main character. Seeing the assistant director reminded me a lot about that ^^!!!!!!

9. Could you be roommates with this character?

Absolutely. We'd be a mess for sure, but it's a fun mess. I'd probably always turn around and go "hey bestie, I need to brainstorm some ideas" and we'd both start cooking. I'd imagine we'd have a bulletin board for storyboarding, a plant we take turns caring and watering (or else assistant director will croak loudly), and a questionable amount of colored pencils for when we talk about how a scene composition is supposed to be. I think we'd be hilarious roommates and we'd probably nudge at each other laughing when we come up of a particularly painful scene.

That a bunch of people he's close to is just absolutely used to his behavior and when he's about to film a sad scene from a nonfiction movie, his hired help would go "oh no, Mr Reca is going to pull a tearjerker" and he's just laughing at their reactions as he directs. Reca also feels like the sort of creator who quietly rants about how one of his films is clearly better than the other but somehow the latter is the most popular one despite being something he puts less effort on. I know he's a memetic entity, but invite him to the dreamjolt hostelry, get plastered (if that's possible for him), and you'd probably hear him rant about it.

Thinking about male Sanrio characters

Some people seem to really dislike Cinnamoroll because he is so popular. I've seen loads of people say they don't want him to win the Sanrio ranking because he always wins. There has also been many supporters of Cinnamoroll defending him as if he's a real perosn lol. Sanrio trends are interesting to look into. Has anyone else noticed that the three most popular characters at the moment seem to be the boy characters? (Pompompurin, Pochacco and Cinnamoroll). Maybe this is because of Hapidanbui, which put some of these characters into the limelight a little bit more in 2020. Even Hangyodon has reaped the benefits of that.

Boy Sanrio characters are interesting because they tend to have strange aesthetics. The girl characters are put in pretty dresses, hair bows etc. and the boys have to match their cuteness with a masculine equivalent, which doesn't always exist. The concept of masculinity isn't really cohesive with a cutesy aesthetic. Shouldn't these male characters be less cute intrinsically? Perhaps I'm making a mountain out of a molehill but I think it's interesting how these characters are made to skirt the lines of the gender binary for seemingly no reason.

There isn't an equivalent for Hapidanbui for the female characters. Perhaps the idea was that the boy characters need it more because they are less successful. I guess that's true to the average person. Most average people may only know Hello Kitty/My Melody/Kuromi, but Sanrio fans tend to prefer Cinnamoroll/Pompompurin/Pochacco. This is especially evident in the Sanrio ranking. Since 2015 Cinnamoroll has taken the top spot (except for in 2019 when Hello Kitty inexplicably got it, but he came second)

Sanrio fans being interested in boys and maleness is not lost on the Sanrio company. Remember the anime about the Sanrio Boys? I'm pretty sure it's still going actually. It's about cute anime boys that love Sanrio, and it's clearly aimed at a teen girl audience.

Also it's worth noting that the base male characters tend to be simpler in design. They tend not to have accessories the way that the female characters do. (Hello Kitty has a bow and overalls, My Melo has her weird hat with a design on it, so does Kuromi, but Cinnamoroll and Pochacco are naked. Pompom has his little hat but it's plain.)

It's just wild to me that even these little creatures cannot escape the gender roles of society.

Are Sanrio fans more inclined to like male characters? Is it just a novelty to see maleness depicted in a cutesy way, that is usually exclusive to girls? Do Sanrio designers just put more effort to make boy characters cuter? Are boy characters more simple? Does their simplicity make them more cute? Am I thinking too much about this?

To be fair though, there is a new Sanrio character that came 5th in the New Kawaii Project named Harenochi Nyua that is stated to be neither a boy or a girl. Which is really cool!

Speaking of Sanrio x TWST and Vil 👀 Hello Kitty’s standard colors (white, red, blue, yellow) remind me a lot of Neige’s colors. Her height and weight are even read in terms of apples (Kitty is 5 apples tall and weighs 3 apples)!! And given that Hello Kitty is the most popular Sanrio character, just like how Neige is the “most beautiful/popular” idol… I kind of want to see Vil absolutely SEETHE over the Neige-Hello Kitty power duo 😂 (but being the professional that he is, Vil would have to continue to casually smile and wave to the cameras—)

Here's Lilith Kinshaw and Gracie Bianchi, two of the popular girls Izzy takes classes with. Lilith is one of the most popular girls in school, known for occasionally throwing pieces of chocolate at random kids and teachers in the hallways because she can be nice like that. When not doing random acts of kindness, she comes off as bitchy and bratty, but Izzy says that sometimes she acts a little nice towards the less preppy girls like her, but she still resents her sickeningly preppy attitude. She also pretends to be emo at one point and Izzy actually tries to help her understand emos better.

Gracie is Lilith's partner in crime, a bit more timid and kinder. She is OBSESSED with Sanrio, and is the chronically ill girl of the class (or a filler character as some may call her) therefore spending a large chunk of the novel just...not there. When she is there, her and Izzy try to befriend each other. She lives in Wisconsin, yet goes to school in Illinois. Odd, eh?

KaiLee (Or Kailee-Chan as Izzy calls her because she doesn't know her last name) is a foreign student who appears about a quarter into Izzy's junior year, hailing from New Zealand. She always has the best advice and loves anime, but is a very troubled girl. She doesn't make a reappearance for senior year, but let's not spoil too much, shall we?

Colin MacReady is a quiet boy, the tallest kid in the class, and is affected with Permanent Emo Hair Syndrome, no matter what he does, it goes back to looking like that eventually. Izzy thinks he's cuter with the side part, but he doesn't like it at all. He remains enigmatic for most of the novel, we do learn that he enjoys anime, video games, and is occasionally part of drama involving Lillith.

Florence Mitchell is a girl Izzy desperately wants to get to know better. She is often seen doodling in her notebook, and if she has NOTHING better to do, she may acknowledge Izzy. She's a little bit like Aspen, in the aspect that she's based off a girl I used to be friends with and then suddenly never saw again
