I saw Spamalot last night at the Kennedy Center in DC and I don’t think I went more than 4 minutes without laughing. The cast all seemed to be having the best freaking time and the audience was fantastic.

Hi friends! My name is Madie and I’m a major fan of Leslie Kritzer, she wrote my tattoo even! I wanted to make a sort of farewell project for her to post on January 8th to say thank you and happy trails! 

I don't use Tumblr really but figured I’d share this here too!

To anyone who is interested: make a 2-10 second (aprox) video saying something positive ( that can be as simple as congrats or thank you or more complex just whatever you are feeling!) the whole goal of this is to show Leslie how much we appreciate all that she’s done with Beetlejuice.

Just thought I’d share a fun story

Tonight I saw Monty Pythons Spamalot on Broadway which featured two cast members of Hazbin! King Arthur was played by James Monroe Igleheart (Ozzie, Zestial, Vortex) and the Lady of the Lake was played by Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer (Rosie).

The play was really funny and it’s obvious everyone involved was having a blast with the play. But now that I’m reflecting on it, there’s just a bunch of things that remind me indirectly of how I wish that THIS is what Hellaverse could be with some competent writing.

To be fair nothing is meant to be taken seriously in the play, but it still managed to be really funny, have good musical numbers, have queer representation that’s not demeaning, and good pacing!

ALSO, this song reminds me of every female in a Viv project! Have a good laugh or don’t!

Notes: Fantastic video of Colin's Orpheus Debut! there is a small head obstruction in the far left bottom that obstructs nothing but Hermes legs at times. This was a very unique and stressful show for the cast as they were down a worker and had everyone in the company on in the show. the show started almost 25 minutes late as they had to rehearse and change choreo. The lights hit in wait for me and the choreo change is quite fun to see and it's unique!

Notes: Big head obstruction on the left side of the screen where the crib, and Charles room is. it's worked around fine, but it's there and can be very distracting at times. besides that it's a great 4k video and it's a unique one, because they had asl and captions so the cast had to stick on script, which led to some fun choreo improv!

tony award thoughts. glad to see gatsby getting only one nomination, they dont deserve more than that, despite the fact that the cast is quite good. disappointed to not see james monroe inglehart nominated for spamalot he put his whole heart and soul into being as goofy as possible and he deserved it, but happy for leslie rodriguez kritzer finally getting her flowers. also glad to see shaina taub getting her flowers even if i have mixed opinions on suffs as a piece of theater and a concept. im happy for merrily, and am pleasantly surprised that gayle rankin was nominated for cabaret. seeing the list of best musicals and seeing that only one of them is a truly original piece (even then, it's based on a moment in history) is incredibly disheartening. also why was gutenberg nominated but not spamalot (ik its clear i have favorites but it was a much better show and clearly not just a vehicle to bring two stars to the stage and stupid cameos and stuff-- no real hate i think andrew rannells and josh gad are very funny especially together, but :/) I hope that jaja's african hair braiding wins, i was really sad i couldnt see it. cabaret will win best revival, though merrily winning wouldnt be shocking-- in fact i could easily see merrily winning and the cabaret fans being very very upset in the way that people get online lol. i am a best musical category hater, but i guess i can root for suffs on principle, though i am interested in the outsiders and apparently its quite good. the tonys are all one big ad, and every year the nominations (and winners, real ones know what im talking abt *stares forlornly and vindictively at 2017*) prove this, but it doesnt make it any less demoralizing.
