Why does the LGBT community support Muslims and arabs and? I don't get it cuz those people hate you guys from the bottom of their heart and if they had a gun they would kill and behead you guys and even in Iran (which it's legal to have a top/bottom surgery and the government won't kill you for that) the amount of hate toward the your community is crazy

One of the things I feel brown women rightfully don't show a lot is their atheism or lack of general belief in spirituality. There are people who think that because you're black you must be religious or believe in God or you're corrupted for not believing in God and you'll believe in anything. It makes one too easily a target for hearing unnecessary waffling about religion, God, the devil, you name it.
It's worse once they find out that you're bisexual or a lesbian, now it's "so that's why you don't believe in god". Like no, I don't believe in any god because the concept is stupid and no religion or faith has ever lifted women up. Or they think you're automatically a gender queer woo woo person like we do not get to be nuanced people. We're either in the A monolith or B monolith.
That said, it's also challenging to openly be an atheist because atheist men are STILL men and so their "critical thinking" leaves them when they hear about feminism, ills of pornography, pinkwashing, colonization of certain groups. Mass murder in the name of religion is bad but mass murder against groups we think are terrorists is good. Just defunct of awareness and empathy because their goal of atheism was to maintain superiority, not to dismantle unfair systems.
Apparently you can't be a lesbian and be against the genocide and mass murder of people in countries in a certain geographical region because they're homophobic. The bullets tearing bodies apart do not know if their target was a lesbian or not dumbass - more importantly their killers do not care to differentiate. How strange that the "good guys" and mass murderers share similar thoughts.
You can't be an atheist and support Palestine because Islam is a death cult, well what the fuck do you call killing people in the name of a "homeland"???? Israel is not an atheist state - nowhere close. Its actions are threatening the stability of the region and there are a group of evangelical zi0nists that are supporting this because they think it'll usher in "end times". If that isn't a death cult, then damn.
I hate the absence of critical thought. I hate that black and brown women do not get to be seen as fully actualized people, intelligent thinkers but rather we must be an either or person. No woman benefits from religion, gender bullshit, or states that are death cults.
"Death cults are wrong except when they're killing people I think are inferior, then it's alright - in fact it's moral."

Oh nah man i was just checking i didn't want to assume anything out of the blue. I just wanted to ask why you choose to believe in this particular ideology
I believe in this ideology because men are too comfortable doing anything they want to a woman like me. Just today I was threatened with hot oil to my face when I was arguing in a civil way. Another time I got my glass and drink spilled all over me because a man couldn't 'control himself' aka I was totally right and he was not. Dehumanized. I've witnessed the most bloodiest, violent punches a man could ever give to a woman. I'm from the middle east and I'm sick of women and homosexual people being st0ned and b3aten and h@nged. I'm so sick of it.
Radical feminism, unlike liberal or white feminism focuses on de-rooting this systemic oppression of women instead of embedding women into it. The oppression of women is based on their sex.
Sex is real and I can't stand it when people try to erase that with gender ideology in the west.

A song from the great artist Googoosh, written by Navid Akhavan, about love (with a video depicting a lesbian couple).
As an Iranian, and as a lesbian woman, this is something I've not only wanted but needed. And I'm so happy it exists...

A catch-all answer to "Should I go to (insert Middle East country here)?": No, you fucking shouldn't.
TL;DR: It's unsafe. Stay away, no matter what. If you live here, get out.
It is unsafe. It doesn't matter how well you pass, it's unsafe. Even if you've had bottom surgery, are on HRT, it's unsafe. It doesn't matter how deep into the closet you are, if the only people who know you're queer are online. It's unsafe. You could easily be outed, doesn't matter how well you pass, or if you're closeted. This opens the floodgates to harassment, assault, arrest, torture, abuse, even murder. Here, rainbow toys are banned because it's "spreading homosexuality to kids". Now imagine the reception you'll get as an actual queer person.
"Oh, but I want to visit my joyfriend-" Don't. It's unsafe. Help your joyfriend get out if you can.
"Oh, but there's better work opportunities-" Don't. It's unsafe. No amount of money is worth risking your life.
"Oh, but Saudi Arabia said LGBTQ visitors are welcome-" You think they mean it? They don't. It's unsafe.
"Oh but Bahrain is better than the rest of them, gay sex is legal-" They're just better at hiding their queerphobia than the rest of the MENA countries. Don't. It's unsafe.
If you're a queer person looking to visit, don't come here, because... IT'S UNSAFE!

She and her best friend, the orphaned Shireen attend illicit parties and experiment with sex, drinking, and drugs. Atafeh's brother Mehran is a recovering drug addict who becomes increasingly religious and obsessed with Shireen, coinciding with the collapse of his once-strong relationship with his sister. The Hakimi parents, Firouz and Azar, reminisce on their youth and what has become and what will become of their family. (link in title)

...I detest what the U.S. has done across the world...the imperialist blood-letting through bombs, genocide, and the like...no one escapes the wrath of this empire...whether the people here, or the Iranians, the Lebanese, the Yemeni, the Libyans, the Zimbabweans, the Pakistanis, the Iraqis, the Palestinians, and so many more…
Lara explains her anti-imperialist beliefs to Carmen in my new fic, "Crofting a Way Forward?: Lara, Artifact Theft, and the Red Woman"

I have been waiting for this day for a long time. After months of hard work and endless learning, I have finally achieved my certification in blockchain technology. I completed a challenging training program that took me more than two years. I didn't tell anyone about this until now.
I am so proud of myself for reaching this goal. It was not an easy journey, but I never gave up. I want to thank my family and friends for their support and encouragement.
You are never too old to learn something new.

Civil disobedience, act 3: queers
In almost every demonstration outside of Iran, LGBT people have been present and their flag raised.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This hurt the regime so much. So much that in an uncivilized act they put some rainbow color prints on fire.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(The British flag print is on fire in an act of solidarity with the Irish people. They even made a sign that said: you say women's revolution, I say Irish resistance! I don't know why they thought these two statements contradict each other! Why all of a sudden Islamic republic is supporting Irish people has only one reason: Self-righteous pose! If I was an Irish person, I would take so much offense that a child-killing terrorist regime is defending my rights)
A few weeks ago, inside Iran, an astonishingly brave young girl raised a rainbow sign with "women life freedom" on it. And as they say "courage is contagious" so others joined the movement.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's not to say that the Iranian population is all LGBT-friendly now. Homophobia and transphobia exist everywhere and it's still strong in Iran. But after decades of being criminalized and pushed out of the picture, Iranian queers are stepping out into the light.
TW queerphonia
(you most probably know that being in a same-sex relationship has severe punishments in Iran. It differs from lashing to jail to a death sentence. I don't want to get into details about what gets the death sentence and what not, it's too traumatizing to even think about. And as for gender identity, in case you thought Iran is trans people's heaven, you've been informed wrong. Trans is not recognized as an identity but as a mental illness. Trans people can do reassignment surgery but the process of getting permission is hard and traumatizing so much so that people have committed su i cide in the process. There's no supporting law for trans people which leaves them to be victims of domestic or generic violence.)
