Some old art of my "dinosaur-human coexistence" concept, featuring characters OTHER than the protagonists!
These characters are Maria and her son Davey. They run an inn that Ben sometimes stays in during his travels. Maria's companion is a Tetrapodophis named Fourfeet and Davey's is a Rahonavis named Cloudy, whom he's trying to teach how to talk.
The next pair are Ren (blue hair and pronouns) and Irwin (blond hair). Ren is a person living on an island to the east of the continent working to become a veterinarian. They actually become Ben's love interest when he and Windryder crash land in front of their family's home. Their companion is a Leptoceratops. Irwin is a boy who lives on an island to the west of the continent and he and Ben get wrapped up in an adventure involving pirates. His companion is an elasmosaur named Nessarose.
These two are Alon and Typhoon. Alon is Ben's grandfather and a fisherman who trains pterosaurs to fish with him like cormorants. His main pterosaur is Typhoon, an albino pteranodontid (originally meant to just straight up be a Pteranodon, but I'm thinking of changing him to a Tethydraco) who's been with him for nearly forty years.
And this image is just a better picture of Ren, since I feel like the one with their Leptoceratops friend didn't show enough detail.
All these characters belong to me!

#Archovember Day 14 - Leptoceratops gracilis
The Leptoceratopsids were a basal family of ceratopsians that, even though they looked quite primitive, lived in the Late Cretaceous. Their type species is Leptoceratops gracilis, who lived in Western North America. They had a powerful bite, used for shearing and crushing tough plant material. No doubt their sharp parrotlike beak could also be used for defense as well. Fossils from the Hell Creek Formation show that these small ceratopsians actually socially raised their young in burrows! A predator may have been less inclined to stick its nose in a burrow with an open staple remover sticking out of it! Leptoceratops could also rear up on its hind legs and even run like this when necessary.
Tumblr media
Living in Western North America, Leptoceratops would have lived alongside many familiar dinosaurs. It would have lived alongside (or underneath) its ceratopsian cousins Triceratops and Torosaurus, ankylosaurians like Ankylosaurus and Denversaurus, pachycephalosaurs like Pachycephalosaurus and Platytholus, other ornithischians like Edmontosaurus and Thescelosaurus, ornithomimids like Struthiomimus and Ornithomimus, and oviraptorosaurs like Anzu. Being so small, Leptoceratops would have had a lot of predators to look out for, making its burrows and sharp beak very handy. It was the perfect size for not only large dromaeosaurs like Dakotaraptor, but also for the famous Tyrannosaurus rex.

Saw an interesting post about which combination of bird and mammal would make the most annoying griffin and just wanted to remind everyone about protoceratops, prenoceratops, and leptoceratops then dare you to try and describe their skeletons without using the word griffin.

my #Dinojam 4 entry is up! I wouldn't call it finished, but you can play it now in browser https://itch.io/jam/dinojam4/rate/2991571
direct link
My entry to Dinojam 4! Survive hell creek as a hatchling t.rex and grow through all 4 life stages.  It's still very incomplete, but all the growth stages are there (you may need to cheat with keypad + or keypad enter to see them though) and there's a reasonably large map to explore
my goal was to get a hang of state trees, and it sorta kinda worked. mobs will attack or run from you depending on your level and enter an idle state if you get away
controls
awsd/arrow keys/controller direction pad for movement
space bar/controller A to attack
esc/pause break/controller start to pause
cheats:
keypad Enter: max food/water/health
Keypad + : advance level
made in Godot 4.3 and Aseperite
sound effects from https://www.kenney.nl/
Dinos present:
tyrannosaurus, leptoceratops, Trierarchuncus,archeroraptor,pectinodon,Anzu,Thescelosaurus,dakotaraptor, triceratops

A rooted dinosaur tooth of a triceratopsin, a Triceratops sp. or Torosaurus latus from the Hell Creek Formation in Powder River County, Montana, United States. Teeth of these chasmosaurine ceratopsids are unfortunately indistinguishable. Derived ceratopsians are known for their double root while more early diverging species like Leptoceratops gracilis only have one; in this specimen, the second root had been broken off. There are currently 3 or 4 triceratopsins described, Triceratops horridus, Triceratops prorsus, Torosaurus latus, and the possibly dubious Tatankaceratops sacrisonorum.

My big idea for Genie Team Season 10
Well, this is my 500th post, so I thought I’d talk about something big. That being one big idea I have for Grantgfan’s Genie Team season 10.
With that being the 10th season, I thought that my idea for it would be pretty big too. And my idea for The Genie Team season 10 is… the genies, their masters, and their friends finding out the realization of dinosaurs (and other prehistoric creatures) all around the world.
And this whole thing would be teased at the end of season 9, where a large map of the world with thumbtacks stuck in it, with each one depicting a known location of dinosaur sightings. They’d be 14 in all (at the moment); with 5 in North America, 3 in South America, 4 in Africa, 1 in Indonesia, and 1 in Australia. And as season 10 progresses, more thumbtacks would be added to the map, with a different color representing a different wave; like red for wave 1, blue for wave 2, green for wave 3, and yellow for wave 4.
And speaking of waves, the dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures would make appearances in the several waves below. WAVE 1: Dryosaurus, Gallimimus, Homalocephale, Kentrosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Styracosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Camarasaurus, Corythosaurus, Edmontosaurus, Ouranosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Stegosaurus, Albertosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Velociraptor, Acrocanthosaururs, Allosaurus, Spinosaurus, Tyrannosaurs Rex, Triceratops, Torosaurus, Carcharadontosaurus, Alioramus, Apatosaurus, Baryonyx, Compsognathus, Deinonychus, Diplodocus, Iguanodon, Maiasaura, Ornithomimus, Panoplosaurus, Tenontosaurus, Thescelosaurus, Wuerosaurus, Yangchuanosaurus, Pteranodon, Dimorphodon, Mosasaurus, and Tylosaurus.

That’s the four main waves of dinosaurs, pterosaurs, marine reptiles, and other prehistoric creatures that’ll appear in Genie Team season 10. It’s a lot of species, I know, but it’ll help in making season 10 of Grantgfan’s Genie Team even bigger. And I’d gladly help him in figuring out the scripts for future episodes of season 10.
