Oof. I had a dream featuring Leona but it also had the effects of my dad's financial abuse: I was at a store, supposed to buy something small but instead I found these big anime plushies and bought 3 and I was so giddy over them. Then I got someone to call Leona for me to ask if I could come over, but then he said no because he saw I had spent $56 at the store and he was angry over it. And it made me feel that fear that I had for my dad whenever he got mad at me. I woke up shortly after but the plan had been to return the plushies to the store and then avoid Leona for a few days.

I'm pretty sure he wouldn't actually be like that haha....r-right? OTL

The day [Name] arrived at Savanaclaw is the day where Leona get's another headache. Such an energetic guy.. honestly where did he got all that energy from? It's annoying. Like a child who's still learning the world around him, believing how being kind and sincere is a good thing. Meanwhile Jack and Ruggie is incredibly happy. [Name] is just such a nice guy, always willing to help, it's a nice change from how many rotten eggs are in Savanaclaw, believing that they're the "strongest."

It's even more interesting how [Name] appears to also be a lion like Leona but turned out way different. Ruggie would always joke how [Name] is the version of Leona if he was kinder. Which earned him quite the death glare. When [Name] offered a private lion dance performance. Boy is it a sight. Watching someone showing their culture and traditions are always a nice experience and seeing him go from pillar to pillar with such swift motions is quite mesmerizing. [Name] is more than happy to teach them lion dancing if they asked.

With how swift he is, [Name] instantly made his way on to the Magical Shift/Spelldrive team in Savanclaw. He's just so agile, perhaps being a lion dancer makes him quite nimble.

Leona still finds him annoying though but after some interactions, [Name] makes a wonderful sleeping buddy. How? Well somehow he always without fail found the nicest and seclusive spots for naps. [Name]'s senses are surprisingly sharper than his, which throw Leona off the loop for a moment, and just like that [Name] had officially become Savanclaw's younger brother, who ever dare lay a single finger on him will answer to the Housewarden.

Ruggie and [Name] bonded like brothers, playing pranks here and there, enjoying life. Jack is like the more responsible older brother. Ready to help, and tries to get the two of them out of trouble, he may seem mean, but he's a big softie.

Spoilers to those who haven't done Lingyang's companion quest

Leona, Ruggie, Jack, and [Name] were at the Savanaclaw's dorm, Leona is napping like always, while Ruggie and Jack told stories of from their hometown as [Name] listens eagerly, happy to learn new things. "Oh? So it's like a folklore? Jinzhou also had one. It's called the Jingle Beast." [Name] says casually, looking out at the horizon with a faint smile, remembering it well how people use to fear such a "beast."

"They say that there's a beast somewhere out there and that when it hunts, you could hear the sound of a bell jingle. It's as simple as that really." He explains casually with a chuckle in the end. Such a silly rumor.

"Kishishishi! Really now? A Jingle Beast?" Ruggie can't help but laugh at such an interesting folklore. "Some say it's just a Suan'ni. A mystical creature that has amazing abilities. Some were skeptical though, since Suan'ni's are practically extinct now." [Name] added, looking down at the ground where they sat. This caught their attention, even Leona as he opens one eye and glance over to the three of them.

Ruggie thought about it for a moment before nodding in response, his face became more serious. "I don’t blame them. In ancient times, the world used to be a very brutal world. Suan‘nies were hunted and killed by humans for their own profit and desires. It was cruel and not fair."

[Name] remain silent for a moment, thinking back on those times. "In my own option…" He began slowly.

"The last Suan'ni might have yearn to become a human… it yanked out all of its fur, filled down its claws, twisted its bones, and learn how to stand upright." [Name] explains in a soft and melancholy tone, his gaze never leaving the ground, his ears occasionally twitched as he says those words.

"Anyway…" He paused, adding with hesitant in his voice. "It.. never really became a human in the end.."

Pure silence. Nothing but pure silence follows after that.

Ruggie and Jack look at [Name] with widened eyes, heck, even Leona had gotten up, sitting upright and looking at the other with a dumbfounded expression. They immediately picked up on what the other is implying.

Of course the Suan'ni never became a human in the end... because at the end of the day.. it is still a Suan'ni.

Through out the centuries... animals evolved and that's how they could now stand on two feet, talk, and etc etc.

But what about those who are older? Before such evolution could even be achieve? Suppose...

So my idea is that the reader knew that Leona loves small animals because he saw Leona watching a bird in a tree, so the reader bought a little duck or a hamster and asked Leona to keep it in his room temporarily because there are repairs in ramshakle, reader put their phone in his room and started recording leona acting like a kitten playing with the small animal (whatever you like it to be), let leona be a big kitten i beg you🙏🏻

author's note: rook agrees!!! i remember that one time in the manga where rook says that leona might be weak for cute and small things😖💓

you knew leona had a soft spot for small creatures. it was a detail you picked up from the many times you’d caught him staring intently at birds perched on branches or tiny animals scurrying about. his eyes would soften, his tail would flick back and forth with a sort of lazy amusement, and he’d purr contentedly. it was a side of leona that wasn’t often seen, and you found it endearing.

with this in mind, you came up with a playful idea. ramshackle is currently being repaired, which is a perfect excuse to ask someone to look after your pet duckling—a little ball of fluff with bright yellow feathers—while you’re out buying some food for it. you already had a certain someone in mind who would surely enjoy the company of the adorable little duck. you chuckled at the thought. it's a perfect plan.

when you arrived at leona's room, you knocked on the door, clutching the small box that held the duckling. leona opened the door, his usual cool demeanor melting into a curious expression as he saw what you were holding.

“what’s that?” he asked.

you grinned. "i need a favor. ramshackle is being repaired, and i need a temporary home for this little guy. can you keep him in your room for a bit? i promise he’s low maintenance.”

leona looked down at the box, where the tiny duckling peeped out with a curious quack. his expression softened, and he nodded. “....alright, whatever”

you thanked him and handed over the box, watching as he carefully carried it inside. you couldn’t resist the urge to sneak in a bit later with your phone, ready to record the adorable scene you hoped to capture.

leona set the box down on his desk, and as soon as the duckling waddled out, he seemed utterly entranced. he crouched down to get a better look, his tail flicking with excitement. he reached out slowly, a small smile spreading across his face as the duckling pecked at his fingers.

you watched through the door, barely able to contain your laughter as leona’s usually stoic demeanor melted into something more affectionate. he was completely absorbed in the little creature, his movements gentle and deliberate.

the duckling quacked softly and waddled around, and leona followed its every move with wide eyes, his purring almost audible as he played with it. he gently scooped the duckling up, cradling it in his hands and scratching its tiny head contentedly.

you couldn’t help but chuckle quietly as you recorded the scene. leona was like a big kitten. his tail flicked back and forth in delight as the duckling nestled into his hands.

after a few minutes, you decided it was time to let leona know you were there. you stepped into the room, still holding your phone and grinning widely. “i see you’ve made a new friend.”

leona looked up at you. “yeah, well… he’s pretty adorable. can’t blame me for getting a bit carried away.”

“you’re a big softie for small animals, aren’t you? i never imagined you’d get so into it.”

leona gave you a sheepish shrug, his gaze returning to the duckling. “i guess they’re more interesting than i thought."

your smile widened as you watched him gently set the duckling back into its box. “i’m glad you like him. just remember, he’s only staying for a little while.”

"i know. either way, thanks, i guess...."

as you left the room, you turned back with a mischievous grin. “oh, and by the way, i’m definitely keeping my recording. it’s too cute to not watch over and over again.”

"what the—" leona’s eyes widened slightly, and he let out a soft groan. “you better not use it against me.”.

you gave him a mischievous wink before finally leaving. what a satisfying day it really is.

Jack Info Compilation part 11: Embarrassed

Jack often becomes embarrassed and/or flustered, and is just as often in denial of it.

While he does say that Ortho defending him to Leona would be embarrassing in Fairy Gala IF and that he is embarrassed by the “Birthday Boy” sash, he usually refuses to admit when something is making him uncomfortable, even when called out on it.

In his third birthday vignette Deuce comments that Jack looks like he really enjoys discussing Spelldrive, and Jack tries to downplay it, leading to Deuce teasing him about how being passionate about something is nothing to be embarrassed about.

Jack becoming shy about the things he enjoys seems to be a theme: he also becomes passionate when discussing pirates (though he claims he wouldn’t call himself a fan) and he self-corrects after visiting Octavinelle for the first time and saying, “Night Raven College is so cool!”

He says he was reading a book on magic tricks but claims, “it was just sitting around and I happened to pick it up. I’m not gonna try any myself, okay?”

In his birthday login screen Jack insists that his tail is only wagging for the exercise, and not because he is happy.

In a vignette he becomes passionate about his respect for Ruggie and both Deuce and Grim comment that he looks like he was nearly moved to tears.

Jack seems to become easily flustered in conversations about himself, telling Vil to stop sharing “embarrassing” stories from their childhood during Fairy Gala IF.

He also becomes easily flustered by others insinuating that he is doing something nice: When Ace says he isn’t “such a jerk after all” in Book 2 Jack claims that he doesn’t want to be indebted.

When Jack accompanies the prefect to Octavinelle in Book 3, Ace comments again that Jack is “a big softie,” and Jack claims he just doesn’t like Azul’s scheming.

Ace teases Jack about being kind a third time later on and Jack again insists that he is just looking out for his own best interests.

This pattern occurs again during Fairy Gala IF when Jack shows up at Ramshackle Dorm and insists that his presence is a coincidence as he “wasn’t looking for Ortho and Ace, okay?,” despite how no one has commented otherwise.

He also awkwardly asks what the prefect might want for their birthday while insisting, “I’m not trying to repay you for today or anything. I’m just curious.”

Jack has several lines where he seems concerned for the prefect that he downplays with, “Not that I’m worried about you!,” “Not that I care…” and “It’s not like I was waitin’ around for you.”

The prefect teases him for laughing at the end of Book 2 and he insists he did not.Jack also becomes awkward during Vargas Camp when Deuce insists on following his advice, and a significant part of Jack’s second birthday vignette is spent on Ruggie teasing him about how close he is to Epel.

Jack insists, “We’re just in the same class, it’s not like we’re particularly close…well, he’s got more determination than most, and sometimes we get excited talking about training together…”

Malady

I mentioned this was coming, but it manifested creatively in a strange way. I hope you like it anyways.

TW for sickness, coughing, implied physical abuse, yandere, implied captivity with the illusion of freedom, and general insensitivity to being unhealthy.

You kept coughing in your sleep. No matter how much he wanted to leave you, he had to wake you up.

“Stop coughing.” He said, plainly.

“How am I supposed to stop coughing? I’m sick, Leona.” Your voice was tight, rasping and grating against his ears. 

“I can tell.” He sighed, rubbing his temples, “Guess we gotta get a doctor in here, huh?”

You shook your head and rolled over, wheezing something about not wanting to make a big deal out of a little cold. Leona stood and yawned, dramatically stretching as he walked to the door.

“Don’t go anywhere, herbivore.”

You didn’t respond. He didn’t mind that, since if you had responded you probably would have pointed out that you couldn’t go anywhere, be that due to your illness or the lack of knowledge as to where you were. Regardless of how wide-eyed and naive you were, you weren’t an idiot. You knew you were trapped.

Finding a servant was, as always, difficult. Usually you were the one who found one. It made sense. They liked you, they weren’t scared of you. You could poke your head out and find one. You didn’t possess magic, so it made sense. Once Leona found one, a rabbit beastwoman who was shaking in her boots as he approached, he gave her clear instructions to bring hot tea and medicine to his room. 

You were exactly where he left you, curled up in his bed and blankets. He approached and placed a single cold hand on your back.

“C’mon, herbivore. Can you sit up?”

You mumbled something and uncurled yourself, leaning against the pillow he’d propped against the headboard. He pressed his knuckles against your forehead and sighed again, ears twitching at the knock on his bedroom door.

The maid stopped shaking when she saw you. Her eyes filled with concern and she all but rushed to your side.

“You’re sick! Oh, this is awful!”

“I’ll be okay.” You griped, “I just need to sleep.”

The maids and manservants liked you. It made sense. You didn’t go out of your way to intimidate them, you were sweet and kind to them, reasoning that they did the most customer service of jobs, serving a whole family. They liked you.

“Hey.” He had to cut this short if you were going to get any rest at all, “Do me a favor.”

The maid began to shake again, standing and bowing, “Yes, Prince Leona?”

“Don’t tell my brother about this. I don’t need him coming around and keeping them up.”

“O-oh. Of course, your highness.” She didn’t take long to leave after that.

You sipped your tea and eyeballed him as he took a seat in a nearby chair. He growled at you.

“What?” You rasped.

“Stop staring at me.”

“You scared her off. Farena’s annoying but you didn’t have to do that.”

“Yeah? Would you want him giving whatever you’ve got to Cheka?”

You took another sip and smiled, sniffling, “Big softie.”

“Shut up. Get some sleep.”

You finished off your tea, curling back into his bed. Your voice was muffled under his blankets, “Leona.”

“What is it now, herbivore?”

“Why?”

“Why what?”

“You’re being nicer than usual.”

He didn’t want to answer that. There was nothing he could answer it with, because he had to admit that you were correct. If you went just two months back, you’d be laying on the floor, unconscious and he’d be napping in the bed. You getting sick wasn’t planned, but neither was his bare-minimum kindness. An uncalculated move in his careful game of cat and mouse.

He gave you the one answer that he could think of, “Does it matter?”

You snored in response.

I saw people pointing out that the Tal’dorei campaign guide has Gwendolyn at around the age she is in c3 right now but it’s dated 10 years before c3, and i was confused by this too. I figured maybe matt fudged some ages cuz he wanted to showcase Percy being a big softie for an 8 year old.

but it just hit me, she’s of elven decent…like i immediately knew vex “looked” 30 but is in her late 50’s maybe 60’s, but it somehow didn’t occur to me that Gwendolyn, and by that metric all the De Rolo children, might ALSO be aging slower. Like, Vesper is in her 30’s (maybe late 20’s idk she’s roughly Beau’s age), but she might look like she’s in her early twenties or maybe even her mid-late teens. idk how does quarter elf aging work? (i know matt called the twins, Wolfe and Leona, Half-elves but whatever). It’s fully possible the Gwendolyn we’re seeing is in her teens but only looks 6-8.

(i know that according to official d&d lore elves, and by proxy half elves, are supposed to age like humans till maturity then slow down…but that makes absolutely no sense to me)

Twisted Wonderland OC: Keira Howl, inspired by Kida from 'Atlantis: The Lost Empire' (and Nala from 'The Lion King').

The fierce older sister of Jack Howl and Leona Kingscholar's best friend since childhood. Very strong and assertive personality, but very loyal, understanding and sympathetic towards everyone. Seems very intimidating and scary on the outside, but she is actually a big smiley softie that loves Shoujo manga. She gets easily flustered and embarrassed, which she tries to hide under her masculinity, but fails.

Unless her loved ones get hurt, and she will destroy if she has to.

Gods I wish I knew (lol)

I honestly don't know, I keep rewriting a possible getting together, but as an aro person that's the most difficult part for me to write. I don't have much trouble with people who are already lovey dovey, but getting together ? That's alien to me.

I mostly situate it after chapter 6, once Jamil has had some time with both Vil during the SDC and Leona at Styx. Leona and Vil already have some kind of relationship from the beginning of the game, but Jamil only gets out of his (dis)comfort zone during chap 5 and 6 so that seems like a good place to start.

After that... Leona probably finds something interesting in Jamil during Styx and keeps pushing afterwards. He dual wields his fling with Vil and his flirting with Jamil I guess.

Jamil and Vil might come a bit further down the line. After all, Jamil has proven himself to be a triple threat (can sing, can rap, can dance (and is ajsbdjbd pretty too)) so those two have a few hobbies in common. Plus Jamil probably values Vil's diligence and hard work a lot. (Though there is a contrast between Vil holding honesty on very high regard while Jamil is the worst liar in all NRC)

All in all, there are many potential things to exploit. And-

Riddle Rosehearts

More than anything else, Riddle really, really hates feeling like things are out of his own control. He would really struggle to give that control up entirely, which means that he's definitely iffy on things like being tied up and submission in general. Not that he will never do them, but he would have to be with a very, very long-term partner and there would have to be a long discussion about boundaries well in advance.

One of his hard nos is definitely corporal punishment used on him. He wouldn't mind if a partner want him to do something like use a crop/whip/flog/etc on them, having them use one on him would be an adrenaline rush in the bad way and might cause him to spiral into a panic. Or, worse, fight or flight mode.

He doesn't want to draw blood from either of them. It would make him feel terrible if he made someone he cares about bleed, and even worse if he seriously injured them.

Another person who needs to feel clean and dislikes being soiled, so most salirophilia kinks are off the table once again.

He just... really, really isn't into roleplay in the bedroom. He doesn't get the appeal of pretending to be someone else, especially if he's pretending to be someone who isn't or shouldn't be in love with his partner. It's not really a no, perse, because he would humor a partner and give it a shot if it was something they really liked, but he wouldn't be all too excited by it and he is most certainly not the best actor when his heart isn't in it.

Ace Trappola

Ace has SURPRINGLY few hard limits. Really the only ones that come to mind are that emetophilia and coprophilia are both hard nos because they squick him out. Now there are definitely a lot of things that don't really do anything for him, for sure, but aren't hard nos.

I would say the one other major thing is that he does find himself to be a bit more of a switch and verse, so he wouldn't want to feel trapped into one role or another. He doesn't really mind being submissive or dominant, and same for topping and bottoming, he just likes to switch it up so that it doesn't become routine.

Deuce Spade

Deuce would really, really dislike degradation aimed at him. Especially related to his intelligence. It frustrates him to be insulted regularly, and it actually hurts to hear it coming from someone who he cares about even if he knows it's not real. He doesn't mind giving it, however, if he knows that they are into it.

Not a hard no, exactly, but he doesn't like to be gagged. It feels too restrictive, and will usually only let them be on for a few minutes before asking for them to be removed.

Choking him is a hard no for him. He'd be hesitant to do it to a partner, but even then he'd consider it. If they want to choke him though? Absolutely not, entirely out of the question.

Public sex is a no. Not even because he wouldn't be interested, he just gets terrible nerves and wouldn't be able to get it up because of it.

Trey Clover

Trey has quite a few things that are on his 'no' list.

Unsanitary kinks are absolutely out of the question, and they all squick him. He doesn't like the thought of being covered in someone else's bodily fluid even if that fluid is cum or sweat, so a lot of things straying in that direction are going to be tentative at best.

He is really, really, truly not a fan of food in the bedroom. Food is a kind of platonic love language for him, and the idea of including it in sex just makes him feel kind of gross about it.

He's not into more extreme kinks: anything involving hitting or choking or violence in general is a pretty big nope for him. He is a very, very big softy and wouldn't be capable of doing something to hurt his partner even for the sake of turning them on. He doesn't want any of it done to himself either.

Not a no: more of an addendum to the last one, he doesn't mind being domineering or mean if they want him to be, he just won't physically do anything that would cause pain or injury.

Cater Diamond

Cater really doesn't have a whole lot that he would say no to outright, even pretty fringe kinks. After all, they can't help what they're into, right? He doesn't mind humoring some weird kinks so long as a) they're not hurting anyone and b) there's an understanding that some bizarre kinks remain fantasy and not reality.

He would struggle a little bit with himself being called names: it can get to be too much for him very quickly. It's not an outright no, but go gentle on him.

He definitely has some strange kinks of his own. He's the sort of dude who is willing to try just about anything once, and is probably the most open-minded on this list.

Leona Kingscholar

Leona hates being compared to other people in the bedroom. He isn't so pressed if his partner wants to be non-monogamous or anything, but if they compare him to someone else (physically, mentally, sexually, however) he will get pissed off and drop whatever they were doing prior.

He's not really into things with his feet. Truthfully, it feels gross for them to even get wet in the shower, though, so it's probably an instinct of some kind to not want his feet touched.

If you bring up Malleus, he will walk out. The only exception to this would be if he is in a poly relationship involving Malleus, too, to be quite honest.

He's surprisingly openminded. Even some more intense kinks and RACK don't really bother him so long as they are okayed with him beforehand.

Dnaganrompa x Twisted Wonderland: The Killing Game

tw: Major spoilers for Danganrompa(1, 2, and 3), major spoilers for Twisted Wonderland(main story/books), mentions of character death(including special characters),suicide, murder, execution, starvation

I've been getting into Danganrompa(again), and was thinking that some of the characters in Danganrompa remind me of a few twst characters. That got me thinking. Who in NRC would survive the killing game? I'll put in a tier list, and then elaborate on my reasoning and thoughts further down. I'm only including students(yes Grim and Ortho count). I'm not going to mention all characters, but there are a few that I'll speak on.

Malleus- Malleus surviving is kind of a no brainer. Nobody would have the nerve to try and kill him, and he's a big softie so he wouldn't kill anybody else either. If provided with a big enough motive, I feel like he would think about it. Some kind of motive where the mastermind threatens to harm his family would be enough to get him to take action. Or something that's putting the Briar Valley in danger. He kinda gives me Kirumi Tojo vibes, and would probably have a similar plan. Find someone who wouldn't mind dying/being killed, kill them, then "graduate" and save their homeland. However, like I said, I don't think he would kill anyone.

Idia- I feel like Idia could survive by simply not socializing. Staying in his room all day just like he was doing before. Obviously reminds me of Chiaki Nanami.

Lilia- Lilia is a really kind person and I have no doubt he would sacrifice himself if it meant helping other people survive.(Ibuki Mioda)

Kalim- Boy stood no chance. I feel like depending on the circumstances between he and Jamil at that moment, his safety would really be hanging by a thread. Post-overblot Jamil probably wouldn't be protecting Kalim, unlike pre-overblot Jamil. Even with Jamil's protection, he would probably still get killed. Perhaps after the events of Jamil's overblot, Kalim might sacrifice himself to Jamil as a form of apology and understanding towards Jamil. He understands why Jamil did what he did, and is apologizing for how he treated him, despite it being unintentional. He wouldn't kill anyone, and even if he wanted to, I doubt he would get away with it.

Grim- Grim would talk so much mess. Bragging about how he's going to survive, but in reality would probably be the first one dead. He might think about killing someone, but probably wouldn't be able to do it. Might finally cave when the starvation motive is put in motion. I don't know why, but he kinda gives me Ryoma Hoshi vibes. I feel like he might have some sort of consensual death(like Ryoma) after the events of book 6/end of book 5, but that seems unlikely.

Sebek- He would probably get killed, but I feel like he might murder someone if they started being too hostile towards Malleus or once the "Killing Among Loved Ones" motive was introduced. Nobody would like him because of his rambling about Malleus and Lilia, and would probably become someone's target relatively quickly. If a murderer caught Sebek alone and was strong enough, it'll be lights out. I'm thinking Leona and Sebek would be rivals even in this situation. Sebek would probably go to Leona's room and try to kill him, but would end up the short end of the stick.

Jade- Korekiyo Shinguji for sure, he's just so insane and I love it. Jade would definitely kill and wouldn't be scared if/when he's found guilty. I don't even think Jade would kill for any reason outside of Floyd or Azul being in danger. Maybe he would kill someone and then play it off like that person wanted to die, and that it was an act of "kindness and compassion". Acting like he just wanted to help the poor unfortunate soul of which was suffering greatly. He would probably die with that creepy smile on his face. Maybe he'd team up with Floyd or Azul.

Azul- He's probably the most insane person in the killing game. I have no doubt that he would be on a killing spree, likely with the assistance of Floyd and Jade. He's definitely Celestia Ludenburg, all the way. The planning, the execution, getting an accomplice, the motive, and of course how they would act once the truth has been revealed. Yeah, I doubt he would be the first to kill, but once the "Ten Million Dollar(madol)" motive is revealed, he's going to mow down so many people to get the prize. There's no way he wouldn't team up with someone, especially Floyd and Jade. Jade's really cunning and meticulous with his actions, which would be perfect for cleaning up blood and hiding evidence. Floyd's super strong, so he's perfect to have around once a corpse needs to be moved or hidden. Azul, while shady, would be the perfect red herring for a killer. Azul could be standing somewhere, with Floyd and Jade hiding somewhere nearby. So once a killer walks up and tries to kill Azul, Floyd can swoop in and squeeze them unconscious, and by then the final act is nearly finished. Someone like Epel might try to kill him so they can escape, but ends up being the one to die instead. Lastly, during the trial, once people start to realize that Azul is responsible for the death(s), he would go full Celeste and start malfunctioning. Just think about Azul right before he overblots, that would be him during the trial. I don't think he would be as accepting of his like Jade though, he would probably break down and cry and beg not to be killed.

Floyd- He would probably just get bored to be honest. I doubt there's a real reason he would kill someone, outside of helping Azul or Jade. He's the type to have a fight to the death just for fun. He would lie during a trial and tamper with a crime scene just to make things more fun and interesting. Kokichi Oma, much? I feel like people might try to kill him for two reasons. One, he's shady as hell. Two, because he's crazy and people think he's the mastermind. They probably wouldn't have the chance to kill him though. Once someone's built up the nerve to kill him, a body will have just been discovered at that very moment.

Sorry this was a long post, I just was kind of in the mood to write a lot. I've been enjoying re-watching Danganrompa, although it is something you need to be in the mood to watch. You can't just have gameplay of it in the background. The trials get pretty intense, and you need to pay attention to them to figure out what's happening. I guess you could Google it afterward, but where's the fun in that. Celeste's trial is what inspired me to make this post, just in case that wasn't clear.

Melody’s relationships to the other Twisted Wonderland characters (plus some headcannons)

Before jumping into this I would just like to say that Melody is very friendly and generally tries to be friends with everyone. Also she has basically adopted all of the first years, she’s a very motherly friend, so expect some repetition there with the first years. Also if you have not played the game there will be some spoilers, but otherwise you should be good. Now that that is out of the way let us begin!

Heartslabyul 

Riddle: 

Riddle and Melody are childhood friends, as she played with him, along with Trey and Che’nya.

They are study buddies as both are very academically inclined.

Melody has memorized all of the Queen of Hearts rules to avoid Riddle’s wrath. 

Melody has tried to talk to Riddle about being too harsh with the rules, but Riddle doesn’t listen to her before the events in Book 1. 

Melody admires Riddle’s intelligence and memory, likewise Riddle admires Melody’s intelligence and her social adeptness.    

Trey:

Trey is basically her older brother at this point.

Melody loves to bake with Trey and his family is the reason she found her love for brownies, as well as the reason for her general sweet tooth. 

Melody does get annoyed by Trey’s nitpicking with her baking especially as they grew up.

She appreciates Trey’s obsession with oral care, as he tends to be the reminder she needs to take care of her teeth when she gets too hyperfocused on other things. 

Trey views Melody as a little sister and is extremely determined to protect her from her mother and other threats.  

Trey was surprised but happy Melody came to Night Raven because of him. He is happy to have some familiarity to home besides Riddle.

Cater:

Cater and Melody are friends

Melody was introduced to Cater by Trey 

Melody loves to help Cater take photos and has learned a bit from him about photo editing and filters. 

Cater found out that Melody could sing and has convinced her to be an honorary member of the Pop Music Club. So when they are actually doing musical practices and need some female vocals he as well as the other club members will drag her in. 

Ace: 

Melody is friends with Ace, Ace sees her as a parental friend like Trey. 

Melody takes Ace in after he eats the piece of Riddle’s tart and walks him through the rules. 

Ace does not understand how she has all the rules memorized. 

Ace gives Melody some trouble for not calling out Riddle for Riddle’s  behavior in Book 1, but quickly changes his tone when she explains she has but Riddle doesn’t listen to her. 

They gang up on Trey to convince him to call out Riddle.

They aren’t super close, but they get along pretty well, when she’s not calling him out for making fun of Deuce.

Deuce:

Melody and Deuce are friends, Deuce also sees Melody as a parental friend like Trey. 

Melody likes to help Deuce study when he needs help and offers a couple of different studying styles to find one that works for him.

Deuce really appreciates her patience and actually does a lot better studying with her. 

Deuce has confided in Melody about his delinquent past and how he’s trying to be better. Melody was very accepting and has offered to help Deuce however she can. 

Savanaclaw

Leona: 

They tolerate each other.

Melody has tried to be friends with Leona. 

Leona wants nothing to do with her, but is respectful towards her. 

Melody has picked up on the hint that he doesn’t like her and also that he’s a jerk to a lot of her friends with no intention of changing, so she stopped trying to be friends and now occasionally calls him out on his behavior. 

Leona has learned Melody likes to play detective and had to figure out a way to keep her out of the way for Book 2, so she wouldn’t ruin his plan.  

Jack: 

Melody is friend’s with Jack, Jack sees Melody as very motherly.

Melody could tell Jack was a big softy from the moment she met him.

Melody loves his signature spell she thinks it’s so cool.

Jack did get overwhelmed with questions from Melody about his signature spell, but after he told her she apologized and has been more respectful about asking. 

Jack respects Melody’s work ethic, her love to learn and her big heart.   

Ruggie: 

Melody and Ruggie go from crushing badly and being oblivious to each other to dating and being adorable.

Ruggie first met Melody during orientation, but they really got to talk a few weeks later when he came to check up on the new (and only) girl on campus. Ruggie has helped Melody in fixing up Ramshackle a bit, though he does it for a price, her baking.   

Melody caught her crush for Ruggie first and has no idea what to do and doesn’t know if he likes her the same way, so she’s quiet about it. 

Ruggie caught his crush after a few of their meetings and also has no idea what to do and doesn’t want to face any teasing from Leona and his dorm which holds him back from confessing. 

After helping Melody for awhile Melody invited Ruggie to have study dates with her (with snacks) and he agreed.  

Study buddies!!!

They are also in the same class together and will occasionally be paired for group projects.

Ruggie does confess his feelings eventually and Melody happily accepts to going out with him. 

Ruggie loves to run over and scoop up Melody and spin her in a hug when he sees her. Melody loves it and is giggling the whole time. 

Melody will stand up for Ruggie when Leona is being a jerk and makes sure Ruggie gets some downtime. 

Melody will go to Ruggie’s spelldrive practice and games to support him when she can. Ruggie will go to see Melody’s performances when he can. 

(I can go on and on about these two but for everyone’s sake I’ll stop it here for this post.)

Octavinelle

Azul:

Melody does not trust Azul, but she is still very kind towards him and tries to be his friend. Azul doesn’t understand Melody, he accepts her kindness, but is upset that he can’t coerce her into a deal.

Melody has definitely and asked Azul and the Leech brothers about their mer-forms, though she’s only gotten a certain amount of information from them before they tried to make deals for more information. 

As tempting as it is Melody has read through Azul’s deals and has never found one she trusted or agreed with. 

Melody does frequent the Mostro Lounge as she does enjoy the food and has made small talk with Azul.

Melody has definitely visited the Board Game Club and like to play with them on the days she can make it, so she has seen how Azul get intense when gaming.  

Jade: 

Melody does not trust Jade, but she is still friendly with him. Jade finds Melody intriguing and is pretty close to being friends with her.  

Melody did try one of Jade’s mushroom dishes and will never make that mistake again. Though she loves to hear about Jade’s exploits from the Mountain Lovers Club. 

Jade will often invite Melody to tea to talk about his little adventures and to learn more about her. Melody agree after confirming there were no strings attached to these meetings. 

Floyd:

Melody does not trust Floyd and is a bit wary knowing his mood swings, but she is very friendly towards him. Floyd likes Melody though she can be too much of a goodie two shoes at times for him. 

Floyd struggles to come up with a nickname for her until he sees one of her performances, from then on she is know as “siren”. 

The nickname is a bit off-putting for Melody though she never really explains to him, why. 

Melody has had to try and redirect Floyd from messing with Riddle before.  

Scarabia

Kalim:

Melody and Kalim are best friends.

These two balls of sunshine really enjoy each others company. 

Melody can sometimes be the logic of this duo, making sure they don’t get into trouble. 

Kalim really likes to hang out with Melody and is even happier to know she’s an honorary member of the Pop Music Club. 

They both like to do little stims when they are excited and Melody loves that Kalim’s bracelets jingle when they do.   

Melody becomes a great study partner for Kalim, like with Deuce will find ways to study that work best for Kalim. 

Jamil:

Melody tries to be friendly with Jamil, but due to her bubbly nature she often reminds him too much of Kalim, so Jamil is a bit off-put by Melody’s kindness. Despite this, Jamil does end up getting along with Melody especially because she isn’t too high energy (or at least she doesn’t come off as so) and she often relieves him of some of his previous duties with Kalim, like studying. 

Melody senses the tension between Kalim and Jamil especially after how Jamil reacted to Kalim arriving at Night Raven. 

Melody and Jamil are great classmates, and when they are paired together they work pretty well. 

Jamil and Melody have a bit of a falling out after Book 4. (Let me know in the comments if y’all want more context for this.    

Pomefiore

Vil:

Melody and Vil are friends.

Melody really got to know Vil when she went to the interest meeting for the Film Research Club. 

Melody originally started doing tech and some costuming work for the club, but once Vil noticed her potential he quickly started finding parts for her.

Vil finds Melody to be very passionate about acting and anything related to the productions. He enjoys that passion. 

Vil does try his best to get Melody into a face routine as well as some casual makeup looks. Neither really sticks for her. 

Melody and Vil have collaborated in the directing department, Melody often giving Vil alternate perspectives on certain scenes or ideas. 

Rook:

Nope. 

Melody tried to be friends, but then just got a really creepy vibe from Rook which was confirmed by the way he interacted with other students, including Ruggie. Melody is civil with Rook, but is not afraid to tell him to buzz off out of her personal space.  

Rook is absolutely intrigued by Melody’s presence at NRC and definitely has pushed some boundaries of which Melody has called him out for.  

Epel:

Melody is friends with Epel, Epel sees Melody as a motherly friend.  

Epel really appreciated the fact that Melody didn’t confuse him for a girl and has actually been really respectful of that. 

Melody does team up with Vil to helps Epel break down these gender stereotypes and norms. 

Epel usually waves to Melody when he sees her in Film Research Club, Melody always waves back (when she sees him). 

Ignihyde

Idia:

Melody is friends with Idia, Idia is reluctantly friends with Melody. 

It took a few weeks of dropping by the board game club for Idia to process that he enjoyed Melody’s company as she is very low key in the board game club. 

Both Melody and Idia will go on tangents about their favorite games, board or video games and just nerd out for a bit. 

Melody respects Idia’s boundaries, though she is trying to get him to open up a little when he’s comfortable.  

Ortho:

Melody is really good friends with Ortho. 

Melody is so very motherly towards Ortho. 

Melody loves to go on little exploring adventures with Ortho when Idia allows it. 

Melody does ask a lot of questions, but Ortho is excited to answer and explain things in great detail to make sure Melody can understand.  

Diasomnia

Malleus:

Melody and Malleus are friends. Melody honestly meeting him by chance and Malleus genuinely happy to have someone who talks to him without being afraid.

Melody actually bumped into Malleus right before she was going to her orientation. Melody apologized for bumping into him, and Malleus forgave her before questioning who she was here with. When Melody explained she was going here Malleus was quite fascinated. They had a nice little chat before parting ways, and when Melody turned back to Trey he was pale as a ghost, while Melody was just in awe that she met the Malleus Draconia.

Melody likes to hear Malleus go on about gargoyles. Malleus will listen to Melody ramble about her interests even if he doesn’t really understand them. 

Malleus loves to see Melody’s drawings, even her little class doodles he finds fun.   

Melody tries to invite Malleus to little get togethers in his dorm but there always seems to be something that goes wrong. 

Lilia:

Lilia and Melody are good friends.

Melody learned first hand that Lilia can not cook and so she will occasionally bring by some foods for the Diasomnia crew. 

Lilia has adopted Melody and does occasionally act as a parental friend. 

They have fun in the Pop Music Club. 

Melody is definitely trying to figure out how old Lilia is.    

Silver:

Melody is friends with Silver. Silver also sees Melody as a friend.  

Melody will often wake Silver up (or attempt to) if he falls asleep in class or around her. 

Silver enjoys Melody’s cooking and will often ask for some of her recipes. 

Melody has definitely picked up on the fact that Silver is Lilia’s kid, but keeps it to herself.    

Melody will often do little study sessions with Silver and will occasionally give him the notes if she notices he fell asleep in his class. 

Sebek:

Melody is friendly with Sebek, Sebek finds Melody annoying but deals with her because Malleus likes her.

Melody isn’t a huge fan of Sebek’s distaste for humans and tries to get to the root of it. 

Sebek feels like Melody gets in the way a lot and is often confused by Melody’s emotional outbursts. 

They don’t interact too often. 

Ramshackle

Grim:

Melody loves Grim.

Melody respects the fact that Grim doesn’t want to be called a cat but will still treat him like a cat. 

She’s not a huge fan of the mischief he gets into but she does her best to help him out of it. 

Melody loves to help Grim study magic while also trying to understand how Grim’s magic works, compared to people. 

Grim loves Melody  and her pets and knows he can count on her for tuna and other snacks. 

I will do another post with staff and non NRC characters at some point. Hope you all enjoy this little insight for Melody as well as how the boys view her.
