Lenovo Pen Stylus Post, 2021
Tumblr media
There’s a lot of options these days, I’ll try to help sort it out for you. :)
Lenovo Pen - approximately 30 USD, Part number:  GX80U45007
Listed as "an additional way to interact, create and edit with Lenovo notebooks with Qualcomm Snapdragon™ Compute Platform." However, this is the same part number as what I ordered back in Jun of 2019 to use with a Microsoft Surface Go, so... it's likely Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP 1.0 or 1.5 likely), rebranded. This pen stylus also works with the Moto Z4.
Nibs on this pen look to be the same longer triple bump tips that go in pens sent out with the Surface and Surface Pro 3. Those will *probably* work, but I haven't tried them to see for myself.
Standard 9.5mm diameter
1024 levels sensitivity
Powered by AAAA Battery
Barrel Buttons, Two
Lenovo Active Pen (Miix | Flex 15 | Yoga 520, 720, 900s) - approximately 40 USD, Part number:  GX80K32882
I bought one of these in early February of 2016 with an Ideapad Miix 700. I really fought with this one to get it to work properly, and ended up sending it and the tablet back, and getting the P40 Yoga. Driver support was pretty much non-existent at the time. Probably just avoid this one.
Standard 9.5mm diameter
2048 levels sensitivity
Powered by AAAA Battery
Barrel Buttons, Two
Will work with the Wacom Nib Kit for Bamboo Ink ACK42416
Lenovo ThinkPad Pen Pro - approximately 45 USD,  Part number:  4X80H34887
This is the Pen Stylus I bought with my P40 Yoga in late February of 2016. It looks the identical to the Lenovo Active Pen I list just above, but has things like driver support, decent pressure sensitivity, and so forth. Wacom AES 2.0.
Thinner 8.62mm diameter
4096 levels sensitivity
Powered by AAAA Battery
Barrel Buttons, Two
Will work with the Wacom Nib Kit for Bamboo Ink ACK42416
Lenovo Active Pen 2 for Think - approximately 65 USD, Part number:  4X80N95873
Bought one back in July of 2017. It's decent, but has a few flaws.
Standard 9.5mm diameter
4096 levels sensitivity
Bluetooth 3 Button configurable goodness, but takes a AAAA Battery, and two itty-bitty, teeny-weeny watch batteries (SR527SW).
Will work with the Wacom Nib Kit for Bamboo Ink ACK42416
Lenovo Active Pen 2 for Yoga - approximately 70 USD, Part number:  GX80N07825
Looks identical to the Lenovo Active Pen 2 for Think, tends to be a couple of dollars more, but I don't think it has any additional things. I've not owned one of these, and the difference probably has to do with what devices they ship with, as opposed to any particular functionality.
Will work with the Wacom Nib Kit for Bamboo Ink ACK42416
Lenovo Digital Pen - approximately 40 USD, Part number:  4X81C66286
This pen ships with the Yoga A940 All In One, and the M14t USB-c 14" portable display. It's a pretty basic, no frills pen, with nice heft and a little accent on the back to keep it from rolling off your desk. They are cheaper in cost, and in general. I've owned two of these, one died in the first week I had it, not to be revived.
Standard 9.5mm diameter
4096 levels sensitivity
Tilt Sensitive - No
Powered by AAAA Battery
Will work with the Wacom Nib Kit for Bamboo Ink ACK42416
Lenovo Precision Pen - approximately 55 USD, Part number:  4X80Z50965
This shipped with my Lenovo C930 Yoga Book, and has magnets that allow it to stick to metal chassis points on devices.
Standard 9.5mm diameter
4096 levels sensitivity
Tilt Sensitive - Yes
Bluetooth 3 Button configurable, and takes a AAAA Battery.
Nibs are a hard plastic cone shape. Lenovo sends these out with just one nib, from my experience. Not sure where to source replacements.
Lenovo Pen Pro - approximately 99 USD, Part number:  4X80R02889
Bought this in July of 2020, and really like it. Three button functionality, and rechargeable.
Standard 9.5mm diameter
4096 levels sensitivity
Tilt Sensitive - Yes
Bluetooth 3 Button configurable, rechargeable via USB-c.
Nibs are a hard plastic cone shape, like what you get with the Lenovo Precision Pen above. You get three replacement nibs. Not sure how to source more.
Lenovo Mod Pen - approximately 80-125 USD (shop around), Part number:  4X81B07782
Just got this pen, and already loving it. The hover distance is excellent, virtually eliminating mistaken strokes, and such. The heft and length are just about perfect. The pen chassis has a nice soft touch finish, and pencil type shape to it. I feel like I'm not fumbling for barrel buttons as much with it.
Downsides - no Bluetooth functionality, and you have to remove the pen cap to recharge it. These aren't a problem for me, especially considering it is the first Lenovo Pen Stylus compatible with the newer Wacom Nib Kit.
Comfy 10.35mm diameter
4096 levels sensitivity - at what feels like pretty nice latency compared to other Wacom AES compatible pens.
Tilt Sensitive - Yes - with excellent hover distance compared to other Wacom AES compatible pens.
Rechargeable via USB-c - with keen indicator light and simple design.
Will work with Wacom's "Stylus nibs for CS322AK" ACK24006Z <- That is huge. A big deal. I haven't done extensive testing with them yet, but thinking this is going to be a best in class situation. Especially with the Blue Tip, designed to allow the pen to work better with older devices.

Nib Kit for Bamboo Ink 9.95 USD, ACK42416 (right side of picture)
Stylus nibs for CS322AK 7.95 USD, ACK24006Z (bottom center of picture)
Wacom Branded Stylus Pens
Wacom has their own Dual-Protocol Pens that compare to the Lenovo things, but I don't recommend them unless you happen to have a need for Dual Wacom AES / Microsoft Pen Protocol MPP needs. They are nice, feel good in the hand, but I haven't owned the newer Bamboo Ink (the older one was okay, not great, just okay), and I haven't been impressed with the battery life / sleep mode on the Wacom Bamboo Ink Plus. The stylus is great, but if you forget to turn it off, you'll come back to a dead pen.

Is there really not a perfect 11.5-13.5" Windows tablet choice?!
Hello guys. For the past week i've been researching to find the perfect windows tablet choice for my specific application need. However it seems there isn't even one device that doesn't have some type of throwback. I'm not asking for everything, but it seems it is either hit or miss, even if you take into account overpriced products. Please hear me out and let me know your thoughts.
I am essentially looking for a WINDOWS TABLET which its primary purpose is to be fitted to my car as a secondary "dash" per say so i can use it to interact with my aftermarket motorsports ecu. It will function as a monitoring dash for the most of the time, but can be used to datalog (aka record data) or for direct tuning (so i don't have to bring my laptop everytime i need to make changes to my engine calibration). I wouldn't mind using it at home as well since i will have it, but mostly will work as a travel/trip companion since i have a PC at home. It has to be a WINDOWS tablet as the software that interfaces with the ecu is only windows based.
After thinking and revising my requirements several times after getting disappointed by what is available here is the break down:
Dimensions: Height needs to be around ~205mm +10mm max so the tablet can be secured in the glove box when not in use. Ideally height should be maximized so that the display area is maximized as well. Length larger than 300mm is not a problem but would get annoying to fit to the car since it will extend more towards the passenger side. This effectively limits me to ~11.8-13.3" tablets, so Microsoft Surface Pro can be used as a reference design (since i haven't seen bezel-less windows tablets yet) Display: This is the most important attribute of the tablet. 1080p absolute minimum resolution, 2K ideally, 3K is probably not gonna be noticeable at the usage distance. Here is a screenshot from my 1080p laptop so you can see the ECU software in datalog mode (slightly cropped but so you can get an idea: http://content.invisioncic.com/r260425/monthly_2017_09/fuel_pressure_link.png.bc827c0a96fe120632f1d7c168e66a64.png However let's not forget brightness and contrast. Brightness should be ~400nits or better for a glossy display, and contrast should be considered over color accuracy. Viewing angle in the length span should be at least 150deg but i think it is hard nowadays to find such a bad display panel. Finally a fully laminated panel is recommended. Physical interfaces: I essentially need a single full size USB port so i can connect my ECU to the tablet. After my research i decided to allow for USB-C assuming that i can get a dongle that will allow me to interface without any issues; but it's best not to allow for that route due to possible incompatibility issues (like what happened when usb3.0 was released). Extra USB ports, USB-C that allows charging and data, video output port, headphone jack, m.2 expansion slot, sd card slot are all pluses. Wireless interfaces: Min wifi and bluetooth. 802.11AC and bluetooth v4.2 or better all pluses. CPU/GPU performance: Generally something better than N3450 (tested my brother's CHUWI surbook mini) and more recent will help, GPU performance is irrelevant for the task so the majority of intergrated GPU's will do fine. RAM: 4GB absolute minimum, 8gb ideal Cooling: I prefer passive cooling, but usually the cooling solution used is sh*t. At least in some cases it can be modded (i'm experienced and willing to do) Battery: 4 hours light use with full display brightness as minimum. If charging is performed over USB-C i hope it is not the stupid kind of power->battery->device like in phones and can work like in laptops where the battery is not used when power is supplied to the laptop. This way you don't wear out the battery since the device will be connected to power most of the time it is operated. Storage: 64gb absolute min, ideal min should be 128gb, speed is relative but i think at least m.2 sata interface ssd; NVME huge + Others: Pen support and attachable keyboard are pluses, but i plan on using a good bluetooth keyboard with backlight (required) so it makes them irrelevant if the tablet is good, Thunderbolt 3 is a +, unlocked bios +, kickstand should work on a lap without cutting your pants off and stay in one place, sd card reader + Reliability: From what i read most chinese tablets are pretty bad with both hardware and software issues out of the box. Backcover should be metal to act as heatsink and be stiff enough, weight and thickness is not that important Condition: New or used. I believe some products offer better value when bought used and others because have been discontinued Pricing: My budget is flexible but depending on the features lots of them are overpriced especially bought new. I would say ~500eur for a new tablet with min features required and 1000eur for one with better hardware. Considering i'm building a 7nm PC in a couple of months the market pricing is really unacceptable for most windows tablets. Blame Apple for it, but i'm not a rich consumer neither i am a sheep. Performance to value is what i always look for.
I literally checked every windows tablet and 2-in-1 i believe. Here some potential picks and what i didn't like.
Microsoft Surface Pro (4 - 5 - 6): At first glance it is a good base candidate..but..really Microsoft? It's 2019 and no USB-C? Proprietary connector and overpriced hardware? Questionable reliability? Get the f*ck out of here. Unless you find a good used deal i don't think it would be worth it. Another Apple wannabe. Eve-tech EVE V: This is one tablet that hits all the boxes, kinda, since by now it is almost obsolete in terms of CPU performance..sadly while i'm greek-cypriot i would go with the stereotypical view for greeks because the CEO is a "malakas" and i'm really sorry to all the people that were scammed. On the other hand i believe there is some truth to the Paypal issues he had since my friend had similar issues (because of not much experience) and even I couldn't help him get them fixed as Paypal is run by assholes as well which need a punch to the face (their excuse it is the system and they can't do anything about it - like wtf). I still use it but the time a different payment system reaches similar adoption i would gladly switch. Chuwi Surbook: Slow CPU, screen is not fully laminated, mediocre specs but was good price at some time ago. Maybe the announced "surbook pro" would fair better? Voyo Vbook i5/i7 Plus: Nice screen, fair pricing? Not the most quality build, shitty battery, i7 model throttles? Teclast X6 Pro: A slightly better vbook i5? No full detailed reviews yet, and i wasn't that impressed from the previous X5 review Alldocube Knote 8: Seems good on paper, but no type-A usb ports Jumper EZpad 6: Possibly the only windows tablet in stock with a good value, however i need something with a better and larger display Acer Switch 3/5: Mediocre screens, single type-A port on the right side (since my car is RHD and the ecu is on the left side i would prefer it on the left side), shitty battery performance, a little overpriced Dell XPS 12 9290/Latitude 5290/Latitude 7285: Great displays, powerful, only 5290 has type-A port, mediocre battery life, overpriced but there are good used deals Asus Transformer 3 Pro T303UA/T304UA: Premium specs but discontinued, expensive, only 1 type-A port and it is on the right side (again), T304 is a huge step backwards even though newer (what the heck Asus, are you drunk?) Lenovo ThinkPad X1: Overpriced, no type-A ports, Gen3 is too big and has display coating issues, Gen2 is more suitable due to size and type-a interface but older and screen brightness not that good - all too tall Lenovo MIIX series: new 630 uses an ARM processor so no go (since i can't force the software developpers to re-compile), 720 rates very high in the features i need, 2 usb type-A ports, nice display, etc. 520 is a little newer with weaker hardware but still good for its price HP Pro X2/Envy X2/Elite X2 1012: HP's other offerings like the Elite X2 1013 are too tall for my needs, and while they have good displays and good build quality i am not font of their design decisions. I have a Zbook 17 G5 workstation at work we bought new and not even 6 months passed and the CPU fan now rattles like crazy..here's my 1st day rant about it: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Note-to-HP-Zbook-17-G5-design-engineers-Please-read-and/td-p/6914797 Also they are overpriced like crazy. I wouldn't ever think of buying again from them. Also the power supply is proprietary as some of the internal hardware. F*ck HP Huawei MateBook E: Aside the lack of ports it is a pretty good designed device, display is perfect but slightly smaller than the biggest i can fit - depending on price it might be a good consideration assuming i can run a USB-C dock i can charge within the car Samsung Galaxy Book 12: Similar to the Huawei above, just a little faster but with a worse display, extra usb-C port. Older and more expensive than the Huawei Toshiba Portege X30T and others: Ports are on the keyboard and not on the tablet, won't work for me.
I think i've covered 99% of the options but i may could have missed 1 or 2. To be honest i won't need this tablet for another 3-6months i would guess but at least i've done my research so i will be prepared when the time comes to buy one. What do you think? I know i went a little crazy but i'm that type of person that never regrets his purchasing choices because i don't buy blindly.

You won’t be able to play even modest performance-intensive games like Apex Legends, Battlefield V, Fortnite, or GTA V at the laptop’s native resolution with playable framerates, but you can have a fairly enjoyable experience at 30FPS and a more humble 1920×1080 resolution.ģDMark’s CPU Profile V1.0, which provides CPU benchmarks for modern processors, came up with a result of 5,597 max threads, which represents the full performance potential of the CPU when using all available threads. With 3DMark‘s Time Spy V1.2, which is a DirectX 12 benchmark for gaming PCs, the ThinkPad Z13 Gen 1 scored 2,436, which is nothing unusual for a non-gaming system. In any case, the utility of a pen is limited considering the display only tilts backward about 45-degrees, so this is not the best option for artists.
Long battery spy cameras mod#
Along with the included touchscreen, which also works well, there’s no lack of control options in what is, again, a notably compact package.įor those who want even more control, Lenovo offers the Mod Pen and Precision Pen 2, although neither were available for review to determine compatibility and performance. Whatever you think of the TrackPoint or ForcePad, Lenovo needs to be given credit for providing an additional mouse control choice without impeding keyboard quality. However, I found the ForcePad’s surface wasn’t as smooth as other trackpads I’ve used on recent MacBooks or Lenovo’s own Yoga 7i 14-Inch laptop, so the upgraded functionality is something of a wash. It’s definitely a step up from what you find in most other laptops. It’s coined a “ForcePad” because it features haptic feedback like a smartphone or tablet, providing a slight vibrating sensation when performing certain actions. When using the TrackPoint, the upper portion of the trackpad is used to perform left and right mouse button pushes.Ī large 4.7in (120mm) wide trackpad is located below the left center of the keyboard. The more pressure applied with your finger on the TrackPoint, the faster the mouse pointer moves. Smack dab in the middle of the keyboard is the famous red rubber TrackPoint pointing stick, which is a unique alternative to the trackpad. While I personally prefer facial recognition for security, having a fingerprint-based alternative is great, especially when certain lighting conditions can confuse the camera.
Long battery spy cameras windows#
Sitting beside the left arrow key is a fingerprint reader, which, like the built-in infrared camera, works with Windows Hello to streamline logins and security checks. You can also set the functions of additional shortcuts through the included Lenovo Commercial Vantage software, which allows you to easily adjust nearly all Power, Audio, Display & Camera, and Input & Accessories options. With a press, you can mute/unmute the speakers, decrease/increase volume, enable/disable the built-in microphones, darken/brighten the display, manage external displays, enable/disable airplane mode, and turn the built-in webcam on or off. Of course, even if you do drop the laptop, it’s MIL-STD-810G tested, so it can hold up to a variety of harsh environments and should do a decent job of avoiding significant damage from most accidents.īy default, keyboard shortcuts are active on the top row function keys. Paired with its distinctive look and mostly recycled aluminum body, Lenovo has created a laptop that begs to be carried around the office or coffee shop with little fear of accidental drops. However, thanks to its slightly textured surface and other material properties, the faux leather exterior succeeds in providing a sufficiently grippable surface. For one thing, it’s missing the distinct leather smell. The polyurethane-based black vegan leather exterior on the back of the display won’t fool anyone into thinking it’s real leather. With an exterior less like a traditional laptop and more like a premium leather portfolio case, the ThinkPad Z13 stands out by blending in more with classic business accessories than other functional technology. Processor: AMD Ryzen U Processor (2.70GHz, up to 4.70GHz Max Boost, 8 Cores, 16 Threads, 16MB Cache)Īs soon as I took the ThinkPad Z13 Gen 1 out of the box, I was struck by its unique look and feel with black and bronze accents.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Review
It's somewhat surprising that the world's first foldable-screen PC is a ThinkPad. When foldable screens debuted on phones last year, they were expensive gimmicks with questionable durability. ThinkPads are mostly expensive laptops, to be sure, but they're legendary for being the opposite of gimmicky and flimsy. Fortunately, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold (starts at $2,499; $2,749 as tested) has the benefit of years of testing and research, and, at least as far as physical design is concerned, this Windows tablet mostly lives up to its ThinkPad name.
That said, it compares poorly with established Windows tablets such as the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 on price, battery life, and computing performance, making it a tough sell for the general public. Still, this revolutionary tablet PC is rugged, futuristic, and unlike any Windows device you've ever seen. Like the controversial original Samsung Galaxy Fold, the ThinkPad X1 Fold has an undeniable cool factor that will appeal to early adopters. Everyone else should wait a year or two in the hopes that a more reasonably priced and more powerful sequel comes along, and that Windows integrates foldability better.
The First Foldable Windows Tablet
The X1 Fold is a twin-faceted computing revolution. The most groundbreaking innovation, of course, is the physical design of the tablet. From the Apple iPad to the Microsoft Surface Go, most tablets have screens with diagonal measurements of around 12 inches or less. The X1 Fold's 13.3-inch display is slightly larger, a more fitting size when you're viewing feature-rich websites or editing a spreadsheet. While the tablet isn't heavy (it weighs 2.2 pounds) I've found that the best way to make use of the screen's full expanse is by propping it up on a desk with its built-in kickstand, much the same as you would with the Surface Pro 7.
But the ThinkPad X1 Fold has a trick up its sleeve that neither the Surface Pro 7 nor any other large tablet can match. The screen bends in the middle, turning the device into something resembling a hardcover book and rendering it immensely more flexible. With the screen folded, you could use the X1 Fold to catch up on the morning news in your magazine app, or use it as an ebook reader. You can also bend the two halves slightly together and set one of them on an airplane tray table or other tight space to use the X1 Fold as a mini conventional clamshell laptop. Set up like this, the bottom half of the display can show the virtual touch keyboard built into Windows, while the upper half that's tilted toward you displays content. Voila: You're now using a 7-inch laptop.
Finally, when it's time to finish up whatever you're working on, you can fold the screen completely in half like you're closing a book. Not only is the screen protected in transit this way, but the integrated leather exterior of the tablet also folds with the screen, negating the need for a case to protect the X1 Fold's outer chassis.
Folded, the tablet measures 1.1 by 9.3 by 6.2 inches (HWD), making it compact enough to fit nearly anywhere. Unfolded, the X1 Fold is 0.45 by 11.8 by 9.3 inches, slightly larger than the Surface Pro 7 with its 12.3-inch display.
Intel's 'Lakefield' Experiment Inside
The X1 Fold's second revolutionary aspect is its use of an Intel "Lakefield" processor. Intel designed Lakefield specifically for tablets and other extremely compact PCs. Introduced earlier this year, Lakefield more closely resembles the processors that power phones and Android tablets than those for traditional laptops and desktops.
Instead of having four powerful processing cores, like most late-model Intel Core i5 and Core i7 laptop chips do, Lakefield comes with five single-threaded cores of varying abilities. A single 10-nanometer (nm) "Sunny Cove" core on the Lakefield chip can handle the heavy-lifting applications, while four 10nm "Tremont" cores can be leveraged for less-intensive computing tasks.
Intel was able to minimize Lakefield's footprint by ditching the traditional method of laying the PC's components across a circuit board. Instead, a 3D-packaging technology called Foveros stacks components, including the DRAM, on top of each other, saving on space.
Intel markets the Lakefield variant in the X1 Fold as a Core i5-L16G7. Similar to other Core i5 chips, it has a 1.4GHz base clock speed. While the four Tremont cores can only be boosted up to 1.8GHz, the Sunny Cove core can run as high as 3GHz.
Theoretically, Lakefield promises benefits similar to those of competing low-power processors like the Apple M1 and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx, including long battery life without sacrificing computing performance when you need it. Unfortunately, as you'll see in the performance discussion below, the X1 Fold falls far short on these promises. It behaves more like a processor intended for inexpensive devices like Chromebooks, offering neither impressive battery life nor adequate performance for anything beyond light tasks.
Accessories Cost Extra
You could use the X1 Tablet exclusively as a tablet, tapping on the screen with your fingers as the sole means of input. It's actually a satisfying experience for casual web browsing, thanks to the robust touch support built into Windows 10, and I spent much of my time testing the X1 Fold using it like this.
But you could do the same tasks with a conventional tablet that costs far less, so part of the X1 Fold's uniqueness lies in its optional accessories that are designed to complement the foldable screen—especially the nifty keyboard. Lenovo could have offered the X1 Fold with a more traditional folio-style keyboard like the Microsoft Surface Type Cover, but that would be impossible to store with the X1 Fold when it's folded like a book. Instead, the company is offering the new Lenovo Fold Mini Keyboard, an adaptation of its legendary ThinkPad keyboard in laptops.
For desktops and tablets, a ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard is available in a standalone wireless version, and that product shares some basic principles with the new Fold Mini Keyboard. You sync the Fold Mini board to the X1 Fold wirelessly, and you can set it on the tabletop in front of the tablet for longer typing sessions. But there are several key differences between the standalone ThinkPad keyboard and the Fold Mini. For starters, the Mini really is tiny. Its keys are a bit cramped, especially for my large fingers, and it has a minuscule touchpad beneath the space bar that is really only useful in situations where a cursor is absolutely necessary. Most of the time, you'll want to just tap the screen.
Still, in keeping with ThinkPad tradition, I find the keys remarkably sturdy and the overall experience better than I would expect from such a tiny keyboard. The Fold Mini keyboard can also magnetically attach to one half of the X1 Fold's screen. Attach it and fold the screen partway, and the physical keyboard replaces the virtual Windows one. Attach the keyboard and fold the X1 Fold completely flat, and you can transport both of them together.
The Fold Mini keyboard also charges wirelessly (via induction) when it's magnetically attached, keeping clutter to a minimum and eliminating one more charging cable to carry or lose. Alas, you'll pay handsomely for this accessory. Lenovo's more expensive X1 Fold configurations include it, or you can get it separately for $229.
The Fold Mini keyboard comes with a simple elastic loop to store the X1 Fold's other main optional accessory, the Lenovo Mod Pen. This digital stylus is more premium than the pens typically offered with Lenovo touch-screen Windows PCs, especially the ones that have small built-in pen holders, like the one on the Yoga C940.
The Mod Pen has a built-in battery and a USB Type-C charging port, and it uses the Wacom pen protocol for precise pressure and tilt sensitivity. It's generously sized, comfortable to grasp, and a fine tool for taking notes on the X1 Fold's display. It may even satisfy some amateur digital artists.
Kind of Blue...No Longer
The displays on the early prototypes of the X1 Fold we saw were plagued by a distracting bluish tint when viewed from extreme angles. (See the video below, shot at CES 2020, for an example.) That problem is thankfully reduced on the production version. Its OLED display, with a 2K resolution of 2,048 by 1,536 pixels, offers reasonably faithful color reproduction at most viewing angles. It's rated to display 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
Viewing-angle consistency is more important on the X1 Fold than on a tablet or a PC, since when the screen is folded, you're always going to be looking at all or half of it from a considerable angle. I do notice a bit of distortion in the lower portion of the screen when I have the device set up like a laptop on my desk, with the upper portion facing me and the lower portion facing the ceiling. But it's far from distracting, and it doesn't affect basic colors.
The most noteworthy aspect of the X1 Fold's display is the fact that you hardly notice the crease in the center when it's folded. When it's flat, two shallow divots about an inch apart are evident near the center, but I could see them only when the device was turned off. There's no way of completely hiding the folding part of the display, something that's also true on other foldable-screen devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. If you find yourself distracted by it, you can easily convince yourself that it's a badge of honor—this is the X1 Fold, after all, not a conventional tablet.
Around the display is a soft-touch black bezel interrupted by two hinges in the middle. The bezel is a bit stodgy-looking, with noticeable gaps where it meets the chassis. The hinge design is a bit underwhelming, as well. A flimsy, stretchable material covers the hinges, and you can easily peel it back with your fingernails. (Note to prospective buyers: Don't do that.) Lenovo invented convertible laptops with the Yoga brand, and has come up with some truly innovative past hinge designs, including one that resembles the wristband of a luxury watch. So the X1 Fold's hinge is a bit disappointing by comparison. This is in contrast with the exceptionally sturdy-feeling outer shell, made of carbon fiber and magnesium alloy, and covered with a luxurious, soft black leather that itself folds in the middle.
Lenovo says that the X1 Fold meets the usual durability and reliability standards for ThinkPads, including MIL-STD-810H testing. The company also tested the screen to ensure that it can handle the stresses of being opened and closed "thousands of times." The company offers a standard one-year mail-in warranty, which can be extended up to five years and supplemented with accidental damage protection for an additional charge.
The X1 Fold's single camera is located in the display bezel next to the hinge. With many of the best Windows tablets offering both front- and rear-facing cameras with 1080p sensors, it's a bit disappointing that the X1 Fold includes only a single 720p shooter. Image quality is what you'd expect from a laptop camera. Video is occasionally noisy, even in well-lit indoor environments.
The X1 Fold's speakers, meanwhile, leave a lot to be desired. They're loud enough, but there's virtually no bass response, which is also disappointing next to thinner tablets that offer better audio quality, including the Apple iPad.
Connectivity options are run-of-the-mill for a premium tablet. In addition to the standard Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Blutetooth 5.1, you can configure an X1 Tablet with an optional cellular modem, which requires a physical SIM card and supports both 4G LTE and "sub-6" 5G. (Millimeter-wave 5G is not available.) The physical port options include two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, one of which is used to charge the tablet.
One of the long edges has a volume rocker, but there's no 3.5mm headphone jack. You'll have to use Bluetooth headphones or a USB wired pair.
X1 Fold Software Shortcomings
As innovative as the X1 Fold is, prospective owners need to be aware of two major downsides. They do affect the usability, and they aren't befitting such an expensive piece of technology.
The first is the limited range of software that can take full advantage of the unique foldable display. Because the X1 Fold is the first device of its kind, virtually no major third-party apps are expressly designed for its unique screen layout.
As a result, X1 Fold owners will be limited to using a rudimentary Lenovo app for assigning apps and other screen elements to one half of the display or the other when it's folded. This Lenovo Mode Switcher app lives in the Windows taskbar, and it automatically detects when you start to fold the screen. It then offers three options...
The first two are split-screen views, with one app on the upper portion of the screen (or left-hand portion, if you're using the device like a book), and the other app on the lower (or right-hand) portion. There's also a single full-screen view, which keeps the screen layout the same as it was before you began to fold it.
The Mode Switcher works as intended, but I find its features inadequate. For instance, if you open a new app after the X1 Fold is already folded, the Mode Switcher app doesn't detect it, and the app opens in full-screen mode even if another mode is selected.
Also sorely missing is a shortcut to assign the virtual Windows keyboard to the entirety of one half of the display when it's folded. Instead, the on-screen keyboard behaves as it does on any other Windows device. You can either have it float, or snap it to the bottom of the screen.
Many of these software difficulties could be ironed out once Microsoft incorporates native support for foldable-screen devices into the Windows 10 operating system. This project, dubbed Windows 10X, was originally scheduled to be finished this year, but it has been delayed. In the interim, Lenovo's software solution feels like a stopgap measure unbefitting the X1 Fold's high price.
Testing the X1 Fold: Lakefield Makes Small Ripples
Separate from the software shortcomings, the X1 Fold's other significant drawback is the lackluster computing performance mentioned earlier. Customers are stuck with the Lakefield Core i5; there's no option for a full-strength "Ice Lake" or "Tiger Lake" Core i5 or Core i7 that you'll find in other tablets like the Surface Pro 7. The X1 Fold is also fixed at 8GB of memory. The only configurable computing component is the SSD, which ranges from 256GB to 1TB of capacity.
In several days of light use, I found the X1 Fold to be adequate for basic web browsing and word processing. It's free of hangs and lags, and the Mode Switcher is obligingly quick at rearranging the screen without sluggish animations. However, similar performance can be expected of an iPad or a Microsoft Surface Go 2 that costs less than a third of the X1 Fold's starting price. (See how we test Windows tablets.)
To see how the X1 Fold stacks up against competing tablets, I compared its results on our benchmark tests with those of a few other tablets and convertible PCs. They include the Dell Latitude 7200 2-in-1, a business-focused tablet with an older but still plenty capable 8th Generation Intel CPU. I've also added the ThinkPad X1 Yoga, a 2-in-1 convertible laptop that is likely the X1 Fold's closest in-house alternative now that Lenovo has discontinued its ThinkPad X1 Tablet. Finally, I've included the Surface Go 2 and Surface Pro 7, our top choices for budget and premium Windows tablets, respectively.
It's important to note that none of these systems approaches the X1 Fold's $2,749 price as tested, and there really aren't many Windows tablets that cost more than $2,000, period. One notable exception is the Microsoft Surface Book 3, an expensive detachable tablet aimed at creative professionals. (It comes standard with its keyboard/docking base, however, and is much more laptop-like than most tablets when docked.) We haven't tested the 13-inch version of the Surface Book 3, and the 15-inch version is too large to serve as a reasonable alternative to the X1 Fold.
Right off the bat, the X1 Fold's performance shortfalls are laid bare in our first test. The PCMark productivity and storage benchmarks simulate a variety of common PC tasks, from videoconferencing to web browsing and light photo editing. Scores of 4,000 and above are considered excellent on the PCMark 10 test, and the X1 Fold only manages a bit more than half that...
It does better on the PCMark 8 Storage test, though all SSD-based systems tend to exhibit similarly excellent performance here.
The Lakefield chip also demonstrates deficiencies in resource-intensive tasks like multimedia content creation. No compact tablet should be expected to excel with these types of workloads, but the X1 Fold is still far behind even the Surface Pro 7 when it comes to rendering a 3D image using Maxon's CPU-centric Cinebench app. The X1 Fold performs about the same on this test as the $730 Surface Go 2 does.
Also worth noting: The Surface Go 2 manages this task in silence, since it lacks an active cooling fan. The X1 Fold does have a fan that can become clearly audible under intensive workloads.
The X1 Fold's video-encoding capabilities aren't much more muscular than its 3D rendering. It took 36 minutes to transcode a 4K video to 1080p using the CPU-centric Handbrake app. It's worth noting that the Surface Pro 7 performed abnormally poorly on this test, though it still manages to beat the X1 Fold. Even the 8th Generation CPU in the Latitude 7200 2-in-1 managed to top the X1 Fold's result here.
Our final multimedia test involves measuring how long it takes to apply a series of 10 filters and effects to an image in Adobe Photoshop. The X1 Fold finished last here, slower than even the Surface Go 2.
In addition to falling short when compared with Windows competitors, the X1 Fold's scores on the Geekbench 5 CPU test suggest that it's no match for an iPad, either. The X1 Fold measures 592 on the Geekbench 5 single-core test, and 1,765 on the multi-core trial. The latest iPad Air, with Apple's A14 processor, scores 1,572 on the single-core test and 3,931 on the multi-core.
Decent Graphics Performance (for a Tablet)
In contrast to its mediocre performance on multimedia and general computing tasks, the X1 Fold holds its own when it comes to 3D graphics performance. We use two gaming-style benchmarks to approximate graphics capabilities, 3DMark and Superposition. While none of the test systems here is capable of the 30 frames per second (fps) mark that we typically regard as the minimum for smooth gameplay, the X1 Fold was in the ballpark of the Latitude and the X1 Yoga, especially on the 3DMark test.
Battery life is another disappointment for the X1 Fold. It lasted for just 8 hours on our video-playback battery rundown test, which is performed at 50 percent screen brightness and with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth switched off...
We expect more from a premium Windows tablet, as even the Surface Pro 7 lasted for nearly 12 hours. The X1 Fold's high-resolution screen is partly to blame here (more pixels consume more power), but it's not an excuse. For instance, the Surface Pro 7 has a much-higher-resolution display, measuring 2,736 by 1,824 pixels.
(Still) Waiting for the Foldable Revolution
The X1 Fold mostly nails its hardware. This is a ThinkPad, after all, and it lives up to the name. Nearly everything about the X1 Fold is meticulously engineered and feels sturdy, from the nifty external keyboard to the foldable display itself. There are a few minor drawbacks, such as a missing second camera and those stodgy black hinges, but overall, the physical design is excellent.
As well-engineered as the X1 Fold is, it nevertheless falls considerably short when it comes to computing performance, battery life, and the software required to take full advantage of its revolutionary screen. Because of that, it's hard to recommend to anyone but the most enthusiastic of deep-pocketed early adopters. Everyone else would be far better served by choosing a more capable and less-expensive tablet like the Surface Pro 7 instead. Or, if you simply must have a foldable screen on your person, the excellent Galaxy Z Fold 2 is an attractive option if you're also in the market for a new phone.
While the X1 Fold is ultimately falls flat as a first try for foldable Windows tablets, it doesn't rule out tantalizing future developments. If Microsoft is able to build support for foldable screens into the Windows operating system in an elegant way, it could spur innovation that gives rise to a new class of devices that use more capable components and are therefore more powerful (and, ideally, less expensive) than the X1 Fold. That's the future that fans of foldables should get excited about.

Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen 5, WFH Overview
Disclosure
I am a Lenovo INsider (it is a customer advocacy program), but I'm way more in the super fan category, than an influencer (whatever that is these days). I did acquire this using a discount provided by Lenovo, but it was with no assumption made that I would write a review, or otherwise promote this product. Words and opinions are my own, I promote what I like.
I don’t do affiliate links, or make any money from this. I just like tech. :)
Okay!
I've been using the X1 Yoga Gen 5 as my personal machine since May of 2020. It has all my work software loaded, and I do use it to work, but it has fallen into a more comfortable use case because of the pandemic. I haven't had the opportunity to travel, and test the 4G LTE functionality as I would have liked, so this review is going to revolve around the device from a work from home perspective. When the pandemic is over, I'll update this review with a report on travel worthiness.
Tumblr media
Thinkpad Things
It has all the usual Thinkpad goodness. Famous Thinkpad MIL-SPEC testing, perfect keyboard experience, track point, and sturdy construction.
What's a little different is the CNC aluminum chassis. I've owned a few other laptops that boast this material and build, and they are nice, but Lenovo has done something with it I can't quite describe. Aluminum products always feels a little sloppy in the hand. Depending on milling tolerances and anodizing, things made of aluminum seem blobby and lacking precision when looking at a product. The X1 Yoga Gen 5 almost doesn't feel real, held in the hand, knowing what it's made of.
I don't find myself pressing my thumb against any part of it, and wishing the chassis met up a little better, or wanting the lid to close more uniformly. Most aluminum chassis laptops are just off, somewhere, throwing them off everywhere. Even my very premium Lenovo C940 Yoga, made of aluminum, feels off in the way everything comes together. The X1 Yoga Gen 5 doesn't suffer from any of that, everything feels straight and true on the laptop.
Whatever Lenovo did here, they should keep doing it, if they're going to have more laptops with an aluminum chassis in their lineup.
Work From Home
On those days that I don't want to leave my couch, or mess with a charger, the Low-Power Display options has been really nice. At night, I can turn the display down really low, and during the day it'll get close to 400 nits. This is really nice because I can wake up with my laptop, carry it around with me all day, and have it on during the evening to poke at work, or personal projects.
I mention this because my Lenovo Yoga C940 has a UHD IPS, glossy, HDR 400, 500 nits display, that I can't use comfortably in a dark room. Even at the lowest setting, the screen is too bright. It's not a complaint I thought I would ever have, but here we are. If I was carrying it to a brightly lit office, or coffee shop, and using it to run presentations for clients and customers, it'd be great. Working from home all day, not so much.
If you're getting anything for work from home, definitely look for matte finish, low-power display options, with a 400 nit brightness ceiling.
The 720 HD Webcam and four array microphones (360° far-field) work better than expected for video chat. I'm on camera 2-3 times a week for about 15 hours during the day and night. I've not had any complaints about the ability of others to hear or see me during meetings, or Dungeons & Dragons on Discord. There was the usual battle with Windows 10 to find the microphone hardware, and get things set up, but smooth sailing after that.
For handwriting capture and light artwork tasks, the Lenovo Pen Pro housed in the silo on the right side of the machine does the job well. Pen input with the included stylus is good, latency also good. I would recommend buying a second stylus if you're going to do any serious artwork requiring comfort and precision.
Tumblr media
WFH Accessories
If you're looking to really up your WFH game, I recommend these:
The Lenovo Mod Pen
I don't know why, but all the marketing makes this look like a chubby marker as opposed to an elegant writing instrument. The image of the pen isn't formatted properly on the website. That said, it is a fantastic pen stylus, with Wacom Pen Protocol goodness, tilt, and rechargeable. Just got one of these, love it.
Tumblr media
ThinkVision T34w-20 34-inch Curved 21:9 Ultrawide Monitor with USB Type-C
Connects to the X1 Yoga Gen 5 with one cable, and has the screen real estate of two screens. It has a Low Blue Light color mode that makes it perfect for dim conditions, and the color profile pairs nicely with that of the Low Power display on the X1 Yoga. The monitor has a USB hub, with an always on port (you activate in the monitor settings menu) to charge your phone or Lenovo Mod Pen.
Lenovo Bluetooth Silent Mouse
There's a point, working from home, where I get really sensitive to every little click or sound. Usually, I'll just go to a place with a lot of soft background noise, like a coffee shop, to reset. The pandemic makes that hard, so I'm always looking at ways to make computing a little quieter. I really like this mouse, both in the feel and shape, and in the reduced noise it makes.
When I actually get to travel, I'll update this review with what I like to take with me, including the service provider I end up using for LTE in the US (or elsewhere).

Charging Accessories
Lenovo makes a bunch of keen charging accessories, I’ve tested them, all good. My favorite two have gotta be these for anything that is 65W (Smart Phones, Nintendo Switch, most Tablets, UltraBooks), and charges over a USB-c / TB port. Lenovo 65W USB-C GaN Adapter
Lenovo Slim USB-C 65W AC Adapter
Had another INsider report that they got a whine from the GaN Adapter, but that hasn’t been my experience. I usually have headphones on, anyway, but after hearing there might be an issue I spent about 90 minutes reading beside my laptop while it was on, charging up from about 12 percent.
All good, but the GaN Adapters are new tech, and like anything, there’s probably some bugs still to be worked out. The Slim USB-C is just a little slimmer in the bag, and lighter on the shoulder to carry. If you really like to optimize your daily carry situation, I highly recommend it.
Conclusion
It feels like I was often making comparisons between my Lenovo C940 Yoga, and the Lenovo X1 Yoga Gen 5. It is worth mentioning that I have some fabricating and purchasing experience with aluminum products, and when it comes to how they are made, I am the prettiest pink princess. Most people won't be able to tell there is something off with one aluminum chassis when compared to another, or have any criticism. If you are a PPP like me, and the details really make or break a purchase, the Lenovo X1 Yoga Gen 5 delivers like no other aluminum product I've held in my hands.
The Lenovo Yoga C940 is still a favorite product of mine, and I've written a review of it here.
It makes me curious about the Lenovo X1 Titanium Yoga, because it has everything I feel like the X1 Yoga Gen 5 is kind of missing; 3:2 aspect ratio with a 2k display option (there is perhaps nothing better than this), and a premium graphics option, Intel Iris Xe. If they've been able to work aluminum this well, I'll bet a Titanium product will be just as good. One thing you do lose with the Titanium model, the Lenovo Pen Pro that slides into the chassis. The Titanium Yoga is just too small and thin (almost a half pound lighter than the X1 Yoga Gen 5) to accomodate it.

Hokaloh News Updated: Ulasan Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga – Peranti Premium Penuhi Permintaan Pengguna Profesional - Hokaloh Berita
https://hokaloh.news/teknologi/ulasan-lenovo-thinkpad-x1-yoga-peranti-premium-penuhi-permintaan-pengguna-profesional-hokaloh-berita-2/
Mengapa saya katakan begini? Sila baca ulasan penuh di bawah.
Spesifikasi Dan Rekabentuk
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Skrin 14″ IPS LCD WQHD sesentuh Pemproses Intel Core i7-8650U vPro Grafik Intel UHD Graphics 620 RAM 16 Gigabyte LPDDR3 Muatan Dalaman 512B SSD PCIe OPAL 2.0 M.2 Kamera 720P I/O 2 X Thunderbolt 3 USB-C, 2 X USB-A 3.1. bicu audio, mini Ethernet HDMI Ya Pembaca Kad MikroSD Imbasan Cap jari (Windows Hello) SIM Mikro SIM Bateri 54 Wh Harga Jualan RM 9948
Pad Sesentuh Dan Puting Navigasi
Proses boot up mengambil masa sekitar tujuh saat.
Pad sesentuh amat responsif.
Pilihan I/O yang mencukupi. Tidak perlu membawa penyesuai tambahan.
Rekaan tahan lasak melepasi piawaian ketenteraan.
Kamera web hanya sekadar beresolusi 720P.
Harga jualan yang amat tidak mampu milik.

The current association mirage goes one step further and brings a better immersive experience to users with a new head-mounted display device.
According to reports, Lenovo Mirage was jointly created by Lenovo, Disney, and Lucas Films, and it is based on the world's top ip 'Star Wars.' The hardware includes mobile helmets, light-saber controllers and tracking beacons, which are inserted into mobile phones. The helmet uses two fish-eye motion tracking and identification devices to fully meet the visual range of the eye; the tracking beacon is matched with the fish-eye camera to accurately position; the light-sword hand-held device can recognize the 6-dof space and capture the optical path. Direction of movement.
It has been revealed that this ar game suit with a star-studded pure blood line will meet with domestic players at the end of this year before and after the eighth 'Star Wars' movie is released.

Head weight 380g, covering 110 & deg; View angle, ergonomic design to ensure comfortable wear, and the use of 'inside out' technology, head integrated internal tracking camera without external sensors.
Its other big advantage lies in its ease of use. Compared to previous 9d vr amusement equipment products' complex operations and high performance requirements for computers, it can be connected in a single line, and supports mainstream performance pcs, significantly reducing the threshold for external VR experience.
At the content level, Lenovo's exploit is affiliated with the Microsoft camp and supports more than 20,000 applications in the Microsoft App Store and Hololens' related apps. Numerous 3a game titles, 9d vr amusement equipment videos, and diverse entertainment content.

Moto x4: dual camera + alexa voice assistant
In terms of mobile phones, the returning moto x is no longer the flagship series of moto phones, but is used as a mid-range product to fill the mobile phone lineup. The biggest feature is undoubtedly the rear dual camera, body design and support for hands-free control of Amazon's alexa voice assistant.
Appearance, moto x4 is still a sleek body design, but the back of the metal covered with glass design, it appears full texture. Has two versions of black and blue, while supporting ip68 waterproof and dustproof.
In terms of configuration, a 5.2-inch 1080p screen, an Opteron 630 processor, 3gb, and 4gb of memory can be selected. At the same time have 3,000mah of electricity. However, it does not support moto mods modular accessory platform.
At the same time it also introduced dual cameras on the camera, with a 12 megapixel f/2.0 main camera, a wide-angle secondary camera with 8 million pixels f/2.2, a front camera with a resolution of 16 million pixels, and an 'adaptive' 'Low light mode' can provide better low light performance.
Another important feature of Motorola is the built-in hands-free support of the Amazon alexa assistant (not available in China). The moto x4 will be able to respond to 'alexa' voice commands, even if locked, similar to alexa launched on htc u11 earlier this year. X4 can still access the google helper built into android.
On the whole, the Lenovo Germany Berlin autumn new product conference meets expectations and surprises. In addition to the intensive cultivation of the pc field, it began to march into the field of ar and 9d vr amusement equipment, and the strategic layout outside the pc is being fully rolled out. From pc innovation, to artificial intelligence, to the ar, 9d vr amusement equipment market, Lenovo pc will have other new actions in the strategic layout, let us wait and see.

TechRadar Middle East Awards – honoring the best from 2017
We announced the nominees for the TechRadar 2017 awards a month back and the list was made up of editorial and people’s choice awards. While we worked on picking our favourites, so did you, our readers, who poured in with your votes on your favourite smartphone, online retailer and company of 2017.
It’s time to reveal which companies and products were the best from 2017 – here are the winners of TechRadar Middle East’s 2017 Awards!
Best Phone (Editor’s Choice): Samsung Galaxy Note 8
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is an incredibly impressive phone that’s perfect for anyone who wants a productive, powerful device.
It’s got one of the best displays, one of the top cameras, and an excellent mix of speed and performance under the finger, while the S Pen is a real differentiator in a sea of similar phones.
Best Phone (People’s Choice): Huawei Mate 10 Pro
Huawei has been making some killer handsets lately and the Mate 10 Pro was voted the best phone by our readers. It has a beautiful design, a great camera and fantastic battery life.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is for someone who wants something a little different, and needs a handset that can easily do everything with class.
Best Mid Ranged Phone (Under AED 2,000): Nokia 8
The Nokia 8 is an impressive handset with specs and performance to match any high-end smartphone. But then you look at its price and you do a double-take to see if you’ve read it wrong, as it offers flagship specs at a price you’d expect from a mid-ranged device. With fantastic support with updates and a clean Android interface, the Nokia 8 is the best phone in it’s price range.
Best Budget Phone (Under AED 1,000): Honor 7X
Honor has always brought features found in high-end phones at prices that make it affordable for most first-time smartphone buyers. The Honor 7X was no different, bringing a 18:9 screen and a super tough build that was previously reserved for flagship products.
Best Tablet: Microsoft Surface Pro
Microsoft Surface Pro is a hybrid tablet/PC that is very popular with business users because of its power and portability. This year’s model is the biggest improvement Microsoft has ever made on a Surface. It has a fantastic battery life a great keyboard and a refined design. Even though the Surface Pen has now become an optional accessory, the Surface Pro is still our favourite tablet from 2017.
Innovation in Mobile: Moto Mods
Lenovo did it right with a modular design for smartphones and has kept on it’s promise by releasing additional mods for its Z range that allow you to expand what your phone is capable of. This year we saw the addition of a 360-degree camera, a gamepad and a photo printer, which make the Moto Z2 phone more flexible than any other smartphone.
Innovation in Mobile: Sony Xperia Touch
Sony is great at designing products that give us a peek into the future, and the Xperia Touch is exactly that. It’s Android-based and can project a screen that you can interact with, like you would on a phone or a tablet. Someday, all projectors will have similar functionality and we’ll be thanking Sony for making it happen.
Best Smartwatch: Fitbit Ionic
The best use of a smartwatch is fitness and Fitbit have been in this space longer than any smartwatch company. Add a killer 5-day battery life and independence from your phone, and the Fitbit Ionic feels like a smartwatch that’s building the foundation for all future smartwatches.
Best Headphones: Sony WH-1000MX2
When you buy a pair of noise-cancelling headphones, you’re often trading sound quality for the ability to block out outside noise. For years, we just hadn’t been able to find headphones that could do both noise-cancellation and Hi-Res audio.
Until now.
The Sony WH-1000XM2 is the follow-up to the surprisingly great MDR-1000X and wins our hearts for the best headphones of 2017.
Best Laptop: Dell XPS 13
The Dell XPS 13 is no stranger to winning awards and for a good reason. It has powerful Intel processors, ranging from i5 to i7, along with a nigh-bezel-less ‘Infinity Edge’ display, which fits a 13.3-inch screen into an 11-inch frame. The Dell XPS 13 really stands out from its competition.
Best Online Retailer (People’s Choice): SOUQ.COM
We’ve seen tremendous growth in ecommerce over the last year and there is no denying that souq.com is leading the pack. Under Amazon’s acquisition, the brand has gone from strength to strength and offered an astonishing half a million deals for White Friday last year.
Best Tech Company (People’s Choice): Huawei
Not only was the Huawei Mate 10 Pro voted as the best phone by our readers but Huawei was also selected as the favourite tech company from 2017. We can’t wait to see what Huawei has planned for 2018 as it looks like it’s just getting started.
