Something I love about the Nikki series is how unabashedly into fashion it is. The whole world of Miraland revolves around clothes, but the love is never particularly tied to gender. In the second game (Shining Nikki), you can tell Nikki you’re a guy though a line of dialogue and she doesn’t even bat an eye! While yes, a lot of the outfits are can be considered more fem-aligned with skirts and dresses, the game never says that guys aren’t valid for liking pretty dresses and sparkles. The games say that whatever gender you are, you are amazing for loving fashion. And in the more recent games, every piece is rendered in such loving detail, you can tell that while some pieces are more simplistic, the devs didn’t truly have a least favorite style or piece. They love the art of styling and want you to love it too
