I understand why this isn't the most quoted part of "Lennon Remembers," but I'm currently losing it over his inability to, haha, remember who is in Crosby, Stills, and Nash:
Maybe Neil and a couple of the Byrds — what’s his name, the one in the Stills and Nash thing, Crosby and the other guy, who used to do the lead.
Like he's literally the first name in the band.

"Paul had an impression, he has it now like a parent, that we should be thankful for what he did for keeping the Beatles going. But when you look back upon it objectively, he kept it going for his own sake. Was it for my sake Paul struggled?"
— John Lennon, Lennon Remembers (Rolling Stone 1970)
"I was still in my love cloud with Yoko and I thought, well, I’ll just say something nice to Paul: 'It’s all right, you did a good job over these few years, holding us together.' He was trying to organize the group, and organize the music, and be an individual and all that, so I wanted to thank him. I said 'the Walrus is Paul' for that reason. I felt, 'Well, he can have it. I’ve got Yoko, and thank you, you can have the credit.'"
— John Lennon, also in Lennon Remembers (Rolling Stone 1970)

I vaguely remember Paul telling a story during his conversation with Jarvis Cocker about how he went to the gym and it was closed so he had to wait for an hour. He got out his guitar to kill the time and wrote a song. Bringing a guitar to the gym is actually insane girlie you’re addicted to music if this is true

[Brian] was a most generous man, thoughtful to the point of embarrassment at times, shy and gregarious at the same instant, but if John ever refused him a request he could behave like a spoilt child and throw tantrums, even stamping his feet with frustration, tears in his eyes. And no one could frustrate Brian more than John. I think he revelled in his power to make Brian squirm and lose his temper, even though he admired Brian as manager and godfather to our son.
