They say that one of the last requests George made to Paul was for him to forgive Yoko. The fact that this hadn't happened still weighed heavily on his heart. This weighed heavily on George because he himself didn't feel like he had forgiven John. George didn't want Paul to go through that either. But what exactly are you forgiving her for? Because she was such a badass? (nothing gets out of my head that I Want You (She’s So Heavy) is about John, Paul and Yoko). About George, what couldn't he forgive about John?
Hi, @drvision! Thanks for trusting me this question ❤. To answer this ask, I made two questions:
What did George think that Paul needed to forgive Yoko for?
What George couldn't forgive about John?
So, let's go!
This is for entertainment purposes only.

What did George think that Paul needed to forgive Yoko for?
I forgot to take a picture here...sorry!
I think George thought that Paul needed to forgive Yoko for all the difficult things that happened in the past. George felt that Paul sort of build an image of Yoko being a “rival”. He also thought that Paul didn’t like her for being fake, and for taking out of him something that he really cared for. It was like Yoko let him without nothing and he couldn’t do shit about it. Yoko “won” that battle. But what “battle”? Well, the battle for John’s heart. But George thought that Paul needed to forgive Yoko because he actually did the same shit, he went to Linda, so what’s the difference? I think George thought that after that, Paul still had that image of Yoko as a rival, and probably was rude to her. What George didn’t like it was that even after John’s death, when Yoko really seemed to have a bad time, Paul didn’t soften up. For George it seemed that Yoko did soften up during that time, and even tried to get some sort of communication with Paul (even if it was because was a raw and emotional moment), but Paul wasn’t very communicative. I end this here because I think we can understand George’s point of view.
What George couldn’t forgive about John?
Tumblr media
I think George felt that he gave a lot to his friendship with John, and even perceived that he always was the one “trying”. George thought how John would be so unappreciative of him If HIM was the one that cooperated with him in his projects, the one that helped when he needed, the one that advised when he asked him to. It was like George started to think that their friendship actually was very superficial, and John was actually being very arrogant. What George couldn’t realised in the moment is that John actually was very happy being near him, but it was like doing that kind of things was the only way to have a bond with him, he didn’t know other way. I think George grew up tired of that dynamic, so he decided to state to John, and everybody, that he was actually now his own person, he was independent, he WAS George Harrison, and not just the “guitarist” of the Beatles. When he was in that state of mind, he started to think very bad of John, and even thought that any kind of communication it would come from Yoko, and not John, so he was very wary. I think it was worst when John actually didn’t do that much. So George behaved very condescendingly, and if someone asked him about John, he would say the most dirty shit ever. It was like he didn’t care.

Back in school again Maxwell plays the fool again, teacher gets annoyed. Wishing to avoid an unpleasant scene, She tells Max to stay when the class has gone away, so he waits behind Writing fifty times "I must not be so, o, o, o.."
(Maxwell's Silver Hammer, 1969, Abbey Road)
I’d been able to accept Yoko in the studio, sitting on a blanket in front of my amp. I’d worked hard to come to terms with that. … If he fell in love with this woman, what did that have to do with me? Not only did I have to let him do it, but I had to admire him for doing it. That was the position I eventually reached. There was nothing else I could do but be cool with it.
(Paul McCartney, The Lyrics, 2021)

Cynthia Lennon truly was gods strongest soldier. Like imagine your husband, your childhood sweetheart, father of your child, the man who carved your name into the churches of Europe as his form of worship. This same man, the man who once wrote you aching letters about wanting to live and be alone with just you, telling you and the world that he can’t be apart from his boy besties for five minutes.
Then barely a year later he gets into a frankly comical amount of LSD, essentially moves in with his most special boy bestie, goes through his multiple affairs in detail with you like a hellish ‘what I did on my holidays’ slideshow, and finally tells you that he wants to leave you by having his mistress/heroin buddy/your former stalker sit on the sofa wearing your dressing gown as you return home from holiday before dragging you through the court until you are broken in every sense. Broken hearted, broken financially and broken homed. You are destitute, in tatters with a little boy he won’t see due to distance and commitment to said former stalker who he is parading round with on a ‘peace and love’ tour whilst filling up rooms with fur coats.
Then a few years later he temporarily splits from his new wife, seems to recover himself slightly and finally trots out a song. A song of apology, contrition, love, devotion, and recommitment full of personal little in jokes and messages. It is a song of love but you can’t understand it because it isn’t to YOU, it mostly isn’t even to HER, but to his FORMER BANDMATE.
HIS. FORMER. BANDMATE.
With hammers. I would have killed him with hammers.

“I’m sure that if [Paul] had been a woman or something, he would have been a great threat, because there’s something definitely very strong with me, John, and Paul.”
— Yoko Ono, Revolution Tape, June 4th 1968. [x]
“. . . I mean, I think really what it was, really all that happened was that John fell in love. With Yoko. And so, with such a powerful alliance like that, it was difficult for him to still be seeing me. It was as if I was another girlfriend, almost. Our relationship was a strong relationship. And if he was to start a new relationship, he had to put this other one away. And I understood that. I mean, I couldn’t stand in the way of someone who’d fallen in love. You can’t say, “Who’s this?” You can’t really do that. If I was a girl, maybe I could go out and… But you know I mean in this case I just sort of said, right – I mean, I didn’t say anything, but I could see that was the way it was going to go, and that Yoko would be very sort of powerful for him. So um, we all had to get out the way.”
— Paul McCartney, interview with German tv program Exclusiv, April 1985. [x]
“It’s just handy to fuck your best friend… and once I resolved the fact that it was a woman as well, it’s all right. I liked her cause she was like a bloke in drag… like a mate.”
— John Lennon talking about Yoko Ono - Powers of Two by Joshua Wolf Shenk. [x]
“I still think at the back of John’s mind was this fascination of wanting to get back with the first girlfriend, if you like, and that was to get back with Paul, who he had so much history with.”
— Tony Barrow, The Beatles’ press officer, on the Lennon/McCartney reunion that was never to be. [x]
“My “simplest, most logical” reason that Yoko treated Paul as her main rival for John’s affections was… he was the main rival for John’s affections… How many books have been written about Lennon and McCartney, and on that period specifically, and not one of them has seriously suggested that John might be a bisexual man in love with his songwriting partner and closest adult companion? Now, we have writers timidly peeking out and saying, “Gee, it’s almost as if John was in love with Paul.” Has the evidence changed? Not much. Have we as a society become more educated and tolerant? Yes.”
— Michael Gerber, Hey Dullblog. [x]

The Psychology of Paul McCartney in Quotes
I think I'll go ahead and post these as they are and invite people to please send in quotes that you think might add something to these because I know they're definitely not complete! Or if you have other Paul Issues TM that you think I should do a compilation on let me know!
As it stands, the docs have the quotes organized chronologically so they tell a story. Some quotes made it into more than one doc because there is a lot of overlap, but I tried to keep it as organized as possible. I think it's pretty head-spinning reading some of these things in the order that they are. It makes him make more sense to me.
