HOT TAKE : Makarov was a bad father (and a bad grandfather)
I'm expecting a big wave of hate with this one... BUT LET ME EXPLAIN
We can dive into the generational trauma theory : we know Yuri has been profoundly hurt by his wife's death (giving birth to Makarov) and this is a thing we should consider. In most cases, people live with the burden of the death of their partner until they die, which could have been Yuri's case. And the idea that somehow his wife died for his son... Well, angst potential.
Now : death of a loved one + wife who dies giving birth to his son = difficult father-son relationship
And even if Yuri didn't do it intentionally, there could have been a distance between the father and the son, and it has repercussions on the futur.
So yes, it maybe happened completely differently, but let's consider this hypothesis to understand what comes after :
Makarov was raised in the guild, where everybody is friendly. The only thing is his daddy issues. He ends up considering the guild more important, so the thing to cherish and protect at all cost.
Everything is fine.
Then, Ivan enters the game.
I know it's very fun to have an antagonist in the family of the master, the man presented as the most loving, a father for all the lost children, etc. BUT maybe we can go a little deeper.
We sometimes have this idea that some characters are born meaner than others, it allows us to ignore psychology and sociology, but it's not fun.
We can suppose Ivan was born in the guild, like Makarov and certainly Laxus. And as it's shown every single second that Fairy Tail is a very healthy environment, a "big family", so even if Ivan was a bit twisted, he would not have been so mean with his colleagues, provoking his exclusion, and he would have not tried to destroy the guild.
Unless he have daddy issues too. Let's consider : Makarov has a son and the mother is nowhere to be found. Doesn't it remind you of something ? But Makarov know his relationship with his father wasn't awesome, so he tries differently.
So two possibilities can be explored :
1- Ivan is a spoiled child. Being the master's son allows him to do reprehensible things and not be punished after, or not too much, and Makarov wants to give him all the freedom he didn't have. Until he almost kills another member of the guild. Then Makarov is forced to expel him. He takes away the thing that gave Ivan an almost unlimited power, and he doesn't like it. So if he can't have Fairy Tail, nobody will.
2- Makarov prefers the guild to his son. He doesn't know how to raise a kid, what if he screws like his father ? (Spoiler : he does) So when Precht makes him the new master, he puts all his soul into his job. But Ivan wants a father. So he does everything to make his father notice him, to make his father proud. It leads him to dark places, and thus, being strong = being good enough. Unfortunately, it doesn't work, because he ends up expelled. So, by pure rage, he decides to destroy the thing his father loved more than him. (It's my favorite version)
In both cases, Ivan manipulates his son into believing that being strong is the only way for him to be respected, to be seen.
Which leads us to the Laxus part (finally)
It's canon that Ivan pushed his son to be the strongest (to the point he put a lacrima in his body) so yeah, Laxus has daddy issues. But he has gampa issues too.
Let's continue with the theory we built on this post : Makarov doesn't really raise his son, why would he raise his grandson ?
But we see Makarov taking care of a very young Laxus. Thus, Laxus once loved his grandfather. Except Ivan didn't. So we can suppose he decided to keep his son under his control by manipulating him into thinking he has to be the strongest.
Then Ivan was banned.
The problem with an abusive relationship is that the victim thinks the abuser is on the right, which explains why Laxus was all but happy his father was expelled. But he stayed in Fairy Tail, because despite everything, Fairy Tail is his home. But this home is controlled by the man who banned his father (his abuser)
Laxus becomes a rank-S mage, which means he's the strongest. He has all the rights to make Fairy Tail his home, not Makarov's.
Well yes, but no.
Because there's Mirajane, a prodigy so fucking strong she becomes a rank-S mage too. But Lisanna dies, and suddenly everybody loves Mirajane. She even becomes the right arm of Makarov, because she's too weak now to create problems now.
And there's Natsu and Gray, Makarov's little boys. They're noisy, annoying, but they have potential. They have the potential to become stronger than Laxus. And Makarov loves them.
But more important, because there's Erza, who is so strong, so kind, so nice... Who is his grandfather's favorite. The same grandfather who did nothing when Ivan imprisoned Laxus into a psychological jail and who banned Ivan for somebody else's weakness. And Laxus knows it : she is the future master of Fairy Tail. She will steal his home and make it even weaker.
So he has to take Fairy Tail now, even if his grandfather dies in the process. Better, it will make things easier !
But in the end, Laxus loves Fairy Tail. He loves the guild enough to not betray everybody by joining his father's guild.
Laxus broke the cycle. And I don't think it was thanks to Makarov. If Laxus broke the cycle, it's because despite everything, he has weirdos to stick with. The Raijinshuu are a safe place for Laxus, they are strong enough to be his friends colleagues, they don't call him "psychotic" when he tells them he wants the guild, and more important, they care for him.
Laxus broke the cycle thanks to people who cared for him. They even wanted to follow him when he was banned ! But he said no, because he care for them and he knows they will be better in Fairy Tail.
Now, let's consider : travelling must have felt like therapy for Laxus : he's not part of Fairy Tail anymore and he's sure he will never have the possibility to come back, but he will not join his father because he doesn't want to put his friends in danger. So he has to do something by himself, not under the influence of his father. And I believe this emancipation was beneficial for him. He could learn what it means to be himself, not Ivan's son or Makarov's grandson.
I don't think he fully forgave Makarov for his inaction and for loving other more than him, and he's not completely out of Ivan's philosophy, those things need time, but he escaped the cycle.

What are your main headcanons about the Sparklas?
Let’s see…
The Sparklas’ badges work just like Peach’s ribbon in that they are the main source of Sparkle energy and are used to activate props by spinning or striking a pose
Brenda (Swordfighter) has a large legion of fangirls
Austin (Cowgirl) and Hiro (Mighty) should not be left alone in a room together or chaos will ensue
Sherman (Detective) is a skilled violinist and they and Marissa (Mermaid) often have concerts together when not performing
Speaking of Marissa, she and Isa (Figure Skater) are dating
Kage (Ninja) and Robaire (Dashing Thief) have a rivalry over who is sneakier and have competitions where they try to steal something from each other and the other Sparklas often get involved in the chaos (except for Sherman, he is so tired…)
Due to his experience with face paint, Wu Xie (Kung Fu) is the best makeup artist out of the group and will help the others with makeup when needed
All the treats made by Patty (Patissiere) are handed out during her shows and the leftovers are sold at the snack bar
Masque is just one of Robaire’s many aliases, others include The Phantom, Shadow, Invisible Frank, and They Who Must Be Stopped
Isa is very clumsy when not skating
Kage is afraid of spiders
Marissa has been trying to branch out into death metal to keep their shows fresh. Whether or not this has worked has yet to be seen
While they are very good at spotting lies, Sherman is a very bad liar himself
When they were younger, Brenda loved fairy tales and she was inspired by the heroes within to take up sword fighting
Hiro is a frequent visitor to the island’s emergency room
Sometimes it’s hard to tell if Wu Xie is meditating or sleeping
It’s a rare occurrence, but Patty should not be crossed when she’s mad or bones will be broken
Austin is the best hugger out of the group
Punny names are very much taken into consideration when Sparklas are being chosen
And that’s all I can think of for now. Please feel free to share your own headcanons if you want!

Digimon Ghost Game (at least to me) answers a very prominent question.
After rewatching last weeks episode and a bunch of my personnel favorites so far, it got me realizing something, this whole season has (at least to me) has explicitly shown the answer to the most common question any Digimon fan has been told,
What if YOU were in the Digimon Universe?
The reason I came to this was when rewatching episodes 1-5, it was always weird that unlike previous digidestined, Team Lirurun got theirs thru happenstance, Hiro got his from his dad, Ruli got hers so she could see Angoramon, Kiyo got it forcefully after Jellymon took it from Hiro’s room. Nothing regal or fancy or noteworthy they just got theirs cuz it was necessary at the time. It was nothing like the previous digidestined, but that’s probably how most of us would get ours, we’d be lucky if we were chosen by some higher power, but realistically we’d probably get ours thru chance/happenstance.
After more binge watching, another thing that came to mind, was how they treat the digimon they’ve befriended/met. Remember the question was what if YOU or specifically a Digimon fan was in the Digimon Universe, realistically we would treat them just like Team Lirurun maybe even more. We know that they’re their own being, they’re individuals with their own thoughts and feelings and we’d treat them as such. They’d be our brothers/sisters, our friends, our equals, maybe even our lovers if you’re into that and we’d be theirs. Granted GG isn’t the first time showing Digimon are individuals, every piece of media before them has, but GG probably shows them as individuals the most. Maybe a bit too much for my liking sometimes. *no hate towards KiyoJelly and AngroRuli shippers* (Side note: you are lying to yourself if you wouldn’t just keep Moon Milleniumon on you if given the opportunity, ya’ll might even have more selfish reasons to keep him than Hiro doesl)
Lastly and more prominently is how Team Lirurun operates. This probably more in contention depending on how you view Digimon (which I hope is something positive) but realistically we’d probably be more Ghost Game and less Adventure 2020. Like I said, Ghost Game probably shows Digimon as Humanly as possible the most. They’re their own thing, they have their own emotions, fears and ideas, with that in mind we’d probably and up with a similar kill count to Team Lirurun then we do any other series, except instead of having Gulus (unless you’re lucky and have Gammamon) we’d have the final say, and even then we’d probably still kill if 100% necessary, you know like Team Lirurun.
With all this in mind this made me realize how funny some of the complaints to Ghost Game are in this context, especially when it comes to how long it took to get to the Digital World. Hate it or not, Bokomon was right to lie to them, they were very unprepared to go there and you’d be lying to yourself if you said they have the same plot armor as the previous digidestined. They barely lasted a few minutes in the Digital World without almost dying and have the highest death count among all the other digidestined groups, because they’re not like the other digidestined, they’re just regular guys/gals, like us. Let’s be real with ourselves we’re not like Masaru, or Tai, or Ken, or Rika or Taiki. We can’t just run up to a Digimon and punch it into submission, we don’t have any crests or legions of Digimon at our beck and call or Special Cards to power up our Digimon.
We’re Hiro, we’re Ruli, we’re Kiyo, We’re team Lirurun, we’ll just be people doing the best we can out there, and with how far they’ve come with that in mind, I’m okay with that.

Do it for Dude - Remembering Cameron Boyce
Cameron Boyce was born on the 25th of May 1999. His parents are Victor and Libby Boyce. His sister is named Maya Boyce. When he was young, he lived in Los Angeles. He took dance lessons for breakdancing, hip-hop, modern dance, jazz, tap dance, and ballet. His favorite style was breakdancing, and, along with four of his friends, he was a member of the breakdancing crew "X Mob".
In May 2008, Boyce made his debut as a child actor in the music video "That Green Gentleman" by Panic! at the Disco. In July 2008, he appeared in General Hospital: Night Shift as a recurring character named Michael. In August 2008, he made his feature film debut with a starring role in the horror film Mirrors, as well as appearing in the mystery-thriller film Eagle Eye that autumn.
In June 2010, Boyce starred as Keithie Feder, the spoiled son of Adam Sandler's character, in the comedy film Grown Ups and appeared later that same year showing off his dance skills on the web series The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers.
In April 2011, Boyce made a guest appearance on Disney Channel's comedy series Good Luck Charlie, and later that month he was one of the featured dancers in a royal wedding tribute on ABC's Dancing with the Stars. In June 2011, he had a small role as one of Judy's classmates in the family comedy film Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer. In August 2011, he was one of the featured dancers on Disney Channel's comedy series Shake It Up.
In September 2011, Boyce was cast in the starring role of Luke Ross on Disney Channel's comedy series Jessie. During pre-production of the series, the role of Luke was originally intended to be a boy named Hiro adopted from Korea, but casting directors were impressed with Boyce during the audition process and ultimately decided to recreate the role specifically for him.
In 2015, Boyce was one of the main cast members in Disney Channel's Descendants, playing Carlos, the son of Cruella de Vil. He later reprised the character for the animated shorts Descendants: Wicked World and in the sequels Descendants 2 and Descendants 3. Unfortunately, the premiere of Descendatnts 3 was shortly after his death.
In March 2018, Boyce was cast in the ABC comedy television pilot Steps, in the role of Becker, and was also cast in the indie film Runt, in the role of Cal.
In January 2019, Boyce had joined the cast of HBO's Mrs. Fletcher. In April 2019, Boyce performed in the music video for "Almost" by Hozier. He choreographed the dance with dancer Christine Flores, who appeared in the video alongside him. In September 2019, it was announced that his clothing line called Archives, co-founded by him and stylist and designer Veronica Graye, would be released in November 2019.
On July 6, 2019, Boyce, aged 20, was found unresponsive at his home in Los Angeles, California. Authorities were called, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. According to a statement made by Boyce's family, Boyce died in his sleep "due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated". An autopsy was performed, but release of a cause of death was deferred pending further investigation. On July 9, 2019, Boyce's family confirmed that his death was caused by an epileptic seizure and that Boyce was previously diagnosed with epilepsy. The autopsy results were released by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner on July 30, 2019, confirming Boyce's cause of death was due to sudden unexpected death in epilepsy. His body was cremated, and his ashes were returned to his family.
On July 14, 2020, a year after Boyce's death, the Alex Winter-directed documentary Showbiz Kids debuted on HBO. The film, which is about childhood stardom and its effects, includes interview footage of Boyce. It is dedicated to the memory of Boyce and former child actress Diana Serra Cary who had died on February 24, 2020. Just prior to his death, Boyce was to begin production with Sandler on a new project. The project he was due to star in with Sandler, Hubie Halloween, was released on October 7, 2020, with a dedication to Boyce that read, "In loving memory of Cameron Boyce. Gone way too soon and one of the kindest, coolest, funniest, and most talented kids we knew. You live on forever in our hearts and are truly missed everyday."
But although Cameron was now dead, his legacy lived on. In the span of 40 days in 2017, Boyce helped raise over $27,000 for the Thirst Project, which helps bring clean water to underdeveloped countries. In September 2019, Thirst Project officially changed the name of the Pioneering Spirit Award to the Cameron Boyce Pioneering Spirit Award, to honor his work with the organization.
He also supported United Way of America's initiative to end homelessness. He helped raise money for the HomeWalk in 2015, and continued to do so up until the end of his life. In May 2019, he participated in the opening ceremony of the 12th annual HomeWalk in downtown Los Angeles, one of the largest public events to end homelessness in the United States.
He also worked with the Lucstrong Foundation, which provides grants to families with children who are diagnosed with sickle cell disease and are going through the bone marrow transplant process.
His final humanitarian project was called Wielding Peace, a social media campaign in conjunction with Delaney Tarr, co-founder of March for Our Lives. In Boyce's own words, the campaign would "help fight against gun violence by showing celebrities and survivors 'wielding' a new kind of weapon — one of unity."
Following Boyce's death in 2019, The Cameron Boyce Foundation, a nonprofit organization, was founded in Los Angeles through Network for Good that provides young people artistic and creative outlets as alternatives to violence and negativity and uses resources and philanthropy for positive change in the world.
On July 25, 2019, the foundation disclosed the first project to be carried out was Wielding Peace, which officially launched on August 16, 2019. The foundation later donated $8,000 to Thirst Project to build a well in Uganda.
Do it for Dude is a small foundation that remembers Cameron Boyce, and supports his legacy. Join now for Cameron Boyce.

The Emperor’s Shadows (A 40K Short Story)
Inquisitor Antonius Smyte's eyes wandered to the sky. The gas giant of Tsukuyomi took up the most of the sky, with only a brief glare of the sun of the Amaterasu System visible. At his flanks were two members of the Adeptus Sororitas, their black and red armor blending into the coming night.
The three waited outside of a small shuttle, the rest of the inquisitor’s aids waiting within. The ship was overlooked by a large and ornate temple-like building. The fortress monastery of the Emperor’s Shadows space marine chapter.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" A voice asked. Inquisitor Smyte turned to the speaker, a woman wearing a black robe. Her eyes were a deep green that almost glowed in the fading twilight, and her hair a deep black that was almost invisible. She had a pair of curved horns on her head poking out of her black hair, and a patch of black fur lining from her chest to her neck.
"I wasn't expecting a beastman." The inquisitor said.
The beastwoman bowed to the inquisitor. "I am a serf for the Emperor's Shadows. The Chapter Master requested that I guide you too him."
“And why can’t the Chapter Master meet me himself?”
“Master Hiro has other matters he needs to tend to, but he should be available in due time. Now, please follow me. Yuro no Yosai is a dangerous place at night.”
The inquisitor and his bodyguards reluctantly accepted the serfs offer, following the clopping sound of her hooves into the fortress-monastery before the sunlight faded.
The monastery was decorated in darker shades, with dark brown wood flooring and black walls and ceilings. Even with the lamp lighting that hung from the ceiling and walls, the visitors still had issue seeing.
“Why is it so dark?” One of the sisters asked under breath as she turned on her helmet’s night vision.
“The five moons of Tsukuyomi spend most of their years in the shadow of their mother planet.” The serf answered. “Just as my Masters stand in the shadow of the Emperor.”
“These masters of yours are the reason why we’re here.” Inquisitor Smyte’s voice echoing through the quiet halls. "Bring me to one, now."
"Please calm down sir." The serf asked. "Like I said, the Chapter Master is occupied at the moment. His schedule was created long before he knew you were going to grace us with your presence. Please, just let me guide you to his quarter's, and I'll answer any question you may have along the way to the best of my ability."
The inquisitor sighed. "Fine. Just give me a short telling of the chapter's history."
"Yes sir." The serf returned to her walk. "The Amaterasu System was was reclaimed by the Raven Guard Legion towards the end of the Great Crusade. At the time, only the five moons of Tsukuyomi were inhabited with human life. The Daughters of Tsukuyomi, as we call the moons, spend most of their year in the shadow of their mother planet, so the human inhabitants had evolved to better live in the dark. As well, a prominent portion of the largest moon, Kage, had mutated in the variation of abhuman that certain groups have dubbed beastmen."
She looked over her shoulder towards the inquisitor. He couldn't make out her grin, but she could see him awkwardly advert his eyes.
She continued. "Thanks to the actions of Emperor and the Raven Guard garrison based on Yuro no Yosai, the people of the moons reunited. The two rival powers of Kage, the beastmen tribes and the knight houses, united for the benefit of the entire system. The moon of Fojishiti was turned into a proper forge world, helping repair the remaining technology from the initial settlers of the system, and replace what was lost. This assistance turned Kin no Machi from a feral world to an agri world, feeding the five daughters with special produce that can grow without sunlight. And the influx of industry and food helped repair and feed the growing hive world of Yami no Machi."
"This is the history of the system." The inquisitor interrupted. "I asked for the chapter's history."
The serf, trying her best not to call out the inquisitor for his rudeness, returned to her history lesson. "When the Heresy broke out, Amaterasu and the local garrison were separated from the rest of the Imperium. Thanks to the improvements to the Daughters, as well as the other newly founded colonies within the system, Amaterasu was able to survive on its own. We reunited with the Imperium once the Heresy was over, and the Raven Guard garrison was turned into the Emperor's Shadows Chapter during a sadly forgotten founding."
“And what of the chapter’s combat prowess?”
“The Emperor’s Shadows, just like it’s legion of origin, favors the use of stealth-based tactics. Our warriors excel in remaining hidden in the shadows and striking the foe swiftly and precisely, so much so that it would appear that the foe died for no apparent reason, or disappeared entirely if the astarte was feeling creative that day.”
Something about how the serf said or disappeared entirely if the astartes was feeling creative that day sent a shiver down the backs of the inquisitor and his bodyguards. He suddenly got the feeling that he was being watched from the darkness.
The serf continued. “Of course, that doesn’t mean the Shadows are dishonorable in any way. We just acknowledge that sometimes fear is a useful tactic. And we are here.”
The four had stop in front of a sliding screen door, identical to every other door within the monastery. The serf quietly slid the door open. The room on the other side threshold was fairly large. Towards the left corner sat a massive bed. In the center of the room was a large wooden table with short legs, short enough for someone to sit on the floor and still be able to use the table. Instead of chairs, pillows sat around the table.
The room was decorated with various weapons and war trophies. Bolters and plasma guns, various flavors of blades, and the skulls of multiple species of xenos. Behind the desk, standing up against the back of the room, stood an eight-foot-tall set of black space marine armor, with a blood red face mask and turquoise pauldrons. On each pauldron, instead of a chapter's emblem embedded directly into the pauldron, the emblem of a tree was painted onto a parchment that was tied to the pauldron.
"The Chapter Master will be here shortly. Feel free to sit down as you wait, and would any of you would like something to eat or drink?"
“No thank you.” Inquisitor Smyte answer for his whole group.
“Understandable.” The serf said with a bow. “However, I will be bringing in food and drink for the Chapter Master, as he specifically requested it for when he returns. He did say you more than welcome to try some if you so desired, and that offer goes to both of your sororitas bodyguards as well.” And with a second bow, she left.
Smyte was flattered by the offer, but given his experience with both astartes and mutants, the meal being human flesh wasn’t off the table.
The serf returned after a few minutes with a cart of plates and bowls. She pushed the cart past the group, now awkwardly sitting on the cushions, and parked it next to the bed.
"Is there anything sweet?" The sister closest to the serf asked under her breath.
"We have onigiri." The serf answered. "A ball of Kin no Machi specially grown rice wrapped in seaweed with a plum in the center."
"Is it similar to a jelly donut?"
The serf didn't verbally answer, merely handing her an onigiri.
"Enough with these games, beast!" The inquisitor screeched, even startling his entourage. "I want to speak with the chapter master!"
"I generally don't speak with those who are rude to my servants."
The inquisitor slowly turned around. Standing in the door was an eight-foot-tall man, with his black hair tied into a small ponytail and garbed in a robe similar to the serf, though with extra red details.
"You're the chapter master?" The inquisitor stuttered.
"I am Hiro, the Chapter Master of the Emperor's Shadows. Have it be known, inquisitor Antonius Smyte, I was in a good mood training the Primaris reinforcements. I can pass off your rudeness towards a loyal servant of the Imperium who was nothing but helpful as you having a bad day yourself, but don't test my patience."
The inquisitor composed himself. "That is understandable, chapter master. I just wish to discuss some issues with you, and we'll be on our way."
"Ok inquisitor, let's talk over here." The space marine said, gesturing towards the armor. "Cya."
"Yes Master Hiro?" The serf asked.
"Introduce yourself to the sisters, and enjoy the meal."
"Thank you Master" She said, moving the food and drinks to the table before kneeling on a cushion next to the sisters.
"What do you wish to discuss?" Hiro asked.
"I wish to discuss about the chapter's origin." The inquisitor answered.
"I would be happy to share the history of the Emperor's Shadow, though I am surprised that Cya didn't shared it already."
"The mutant did, but her story had some contradictions."
Hiro glared at the little man. "You question our history?"
Smyte glared back up at the astarte. "I do."
"What is this contradiction, and what evidence do you have that our chapter's records are flawed."
"I have discovered records of the Great Crusade, and they say that the Raven Guard, your supposed legion of origin, was never sent to the Amaterasu System."
Hiro was quiet for a quick few seconds, almost like he was pondering this information. "Than that would mean that what we thought our progenitor was is incorrect. If your statement is true, it would be unfortunate, but not unheard of."
"Whether your chapter's records are wrong or not isn't the issue." Smyte sharply replied. "What is important is what the records from Terra do say."
"And what is that, my friend?"
"The records state that the Legion that was sent to the Amaterasu System was not the Raven Guard, but the Night Lords."
"You accuse my chapter of heresy?" Hiro demanded, his eyes staring into the inquisitor's soul.
"I accuse your chapter of hiding important information from the inquisition." Smyte stared back. "I demand to see your records, and if you refuse, you will be dubbed as enemies of the Imperium and the Emperor."
The two's staring contest was interrupted with a sudden scream of pain. Looking towards the source, the two found a sister chugging a pitcher of water, the other sister and Cya the serf laughing at her, and a piece of fish coated in a green paste having been dropped on the floor.
Chapter Master Hiro joined in with a hearty laugh. "Antonius." He said, slapping the inquisitor on the back, almost knocking him to the floor. "You of all people should know that the Imperium's recording keeping is sub-par at the best of times."
"I'm fully aware, chapter master. That’s the reason why I want confirmation.”
"Fair enough my friend, fair enough." Hiro sighed. "I'll personally take you to our records. Sisters, you are more than welcomed to come along or stay here and enjoy your meal."
"No." The inquisitor interrupted. "Sister Abigail, come with me. Sister Ziri, stay here and watch the mutant."
"Yes lord." The two said. The sister who chugged aneniter pitcher of water put her helmet back on and followed the chapter master and inquisitor, while the sister who was on her second onigiri returned to her rice ball.
The three walked down the dark halls, passing space marines and serfs going on their way. Inquisitor Smyte noticed that the chapter serfs were different than serfs of other space marine chapters. There was a high number of abhumans (though their wasn't anymore beastmen), and many of the normal looking humans wouldn't look out of place in the imperial guard. There was even one female serf with the signature white of the sororitas, who scurried away when she noticed the inquisitor and his sororitas guard. "I want to know everything about your chapter."
"And it's all right here." Hiro answered, stopping in front of an ornate door. "Let me explain the situation to the librarians, and you can have your fun."
The inquisitor ignored his suggestion and braged through the room. The librarian marine on the other side, surrounded by scrolls, tapestries, and other parchments, prepared to kill this intruder, but was stopped by his chapter master.
"Inquisitor Smyte has some questions and I offered our records to answer them."
The inquisitor interrupted the chapter master again. "Let me download the records and I'll be on my way."
The librarian looked towards his chapter master. Hiro nodded and he nodded back.
The chapter master, inquisitor, and the sister bodyguard returned to Hiro's chamber. They found sister Ziri and Cya laughing about something, empty plates and cups littering the table.
"Sister Ziri." Smyte said, ending the sister and serf's conversation. "We are leaving."
Ziri launched to her feet and returned to formation behind her superior, not before quickly bowing to Cya.
Inquisitor Smyte looked up to chapter master Hiro. "We will be taking our leave. If I discover anything daming, expect my return."
"Well inquisitor, I hope we have a chance to meet under a less tense situation. Like a tyranid invasion."
Smyte turned face and started the return trip to his ship, his sororitas guards in tow.
Hiro closed the door behind them, and joined his serf at the table. "Did you have fun?" He asked, pouring himself a cup of tea.
"Ziri was nice for a zealot." Cya answered. "Did the inquisitor get his records, my Master?"
"Only the records that would make him happy, but I doubt he will stay away. Maybe we can use your newly founded bond to our advantage."
"We'll see." Cya said, standing up. "I must return to my work Master. May the Emperor guide you."
"May the Emperor guide you, and may he forgive us for our sins."

Yes, they had whole eyes thame going on and Mashima clearly forgotten about it.
About glasses, I don't think this is the problem with plain glasses. In fact, I like this and I think that ever (similar to freed) has broken magic so this type of limit is expected. Hiro mashima has just made everyone immune to them. Immagine if this wasn't the case, battle with empire where thunder legion + laxus meet with 2 spriggan 12 (one is problem two is basically death) then ever takes a risk and in desperation bring herself closer to them and uses her eyes. She is able to petrify one. Fight become equal. Laxus, with the assistance of thunder legion, takes dawn enemy. Ever know that she is exhausted and they have a few second to prepare for next fight. In this time freed sets up rune barrier ensuring that even if they lose empire wizard will be significantly slowed dawn. They prepare to die (laxus illness is worsening, he is unable to fight, ever too) but then ichiya (mashima loves him so lets give him some glory) rescue them with airship.
In preparation for the yet another fairy tail game to erase thunder legion ( ft dungeon gave us eva and hibiki from blue pegasus but tunder legion is nowhere to be found), I want to say that no one had bigger nerf than freed. No matter who you liked from s class candidates, Freed was closest to s class wizard by the mile. Mashima truly established him as this pawerful mage with some story breaking magic and then he made him lose and lose. In diffrent manga freed would be fan favourite (nobel like guy who has demon side). Also when was the last time evergreen successfully used her eyes. Girl can turn people into stone, she could at least buy some time ( imagine one of the spriggan 12th turning into stone). And then there is bickslow. Where freed and ever exist, bickslow is character without any screen time. He doesn't have personality, love or any goals. He is jet level character.

bro that fight was absolutely ridiculous! I love Gray but that was clearly main character syndrome. when Freed said that the rune won't cancel every magic to give Gray a chance I knew this was the first excuse to have the Raijinshuu lose. if serious, Freed could've just cancelled everything and the fight would've been over before it even began. then the Gray doesn't feel the torture rune excuse out of nowhere and the fact that Gray won against Evergreen Bickslow AND Freed with all ridiculous reasons and then struggled against an injured and exhausted Mirajane afterwards while Freed was holding up great against an emotional-overdrive, rage power Mira in the fight with her, it's all just so badly written. I would've given Gray the advantage of using devil slayer magic against people like Mira and Freed but at least make it a damn good and difficult fight because not only Mira is a power to be reckoned with, Freed has been set up to be too. then there are Ever and Bickslow qith their eye magics as well, and how they were knocked out was a joke too. I dont want this animated.
EXACTLY. I’ll be the first to admit gray would be powerful enough to defeat individual members of the thunder legion (that main character power boost) but that was an utter piss take. gray still struggled against just bixlow during their first fight, even if he couldve beaten him. that “um actually gray cant feel pain in this form” was completely stupid. ive seen a lot of awful things from modern fairy tail but that was undoubtedly the worst. also that “omg of course i feel pain i was hitting my comewades :((((“ INFURIATED me. didnt have that energy during what i assume was meant to be a “comedic” scene of him just beating the shit out of freed when he was already down. also the whole “lets rip the clothes off the only girl!” thing made me want to barf. i genuinely believe it would’ve been better for their characters if the thunder legion had been killed in the tartaros arc.
also YEAH THE WHOLE “struggled against an exhausted and injured mira” genuinely gave me vertigo after i finally escaped from having it shoved down my eyeholes. like yeah mira was rusty during her fight with freed but she was absolutely rage filled, and it was really emphasised just how powerful she was, and it was STILL a tough fight. against just freed. the whole thunder legion vs gray shouldve been a sweep in the other direction. weve seen they can all work together, using their unique magics to complicate things for enemies.
cant think where else to put this so im slapping this in here. EVEN THOUGH GRAY HAS DEMON SLAYER MAGIC NOW FREED HAS A FUCKING SWORD. also that stupid “gray teleports behind evergreen and bixlow” thing? WHAT KIND OF DEMON SLAYER MAGIC IS THAT. all fairy tail main characters are the worst type of mary sue. and i LIKE mary sues.
evergreen can turn people to stone and fire hundreds of BULLETS and explosions. bixlow can use his babies to beat the shit out of long distance targets and take control of their bodies (NOT TURN THEM CHIBI. HIRO.). FREED CAN FUCKING TURN INTO A DEMON AND ALMOST INSTANTLY TRAP PEOPLE AND DEPRIVE THEM OF OXYGEN, AND CUT A GODDAMN TORNADO IN HALF. THESE ARE VETERAN FIGHTERS WHO WERE ONCE ABLE TO DAMN NEAR TAKE DOWN THE ENTIRE GUILD. now theyre just a joke. their personalities have been completely erased and replaced with “omg laxus!!”. im going to hurl
if you HAD to make up an excuse to weaken them, sure you could make up some shit about “oh the barrier particles damaged their magic containers” BUT EVEN THEN THEYRE STILL SMART ENOUGH TO WORK TOGETHER.
seriously. this was the most blatant case of main character nepotism ive literally ever seen. i genuinely despise 100yq, it always felt so lazy and uncreative. uhh yeah actually surprise theres four more acnologias but more powerful. yeah theyre were never mentioned before so what. every character looks the same now. the lucyification of the fairy tail girls needs to be studied. this infection is taking away every single character and the only reactions im seeing to it are “omg glow up!!”
(also i HATE seeing people talk about the spinoff characters like “omg so cute its like an alternate universe” NO ITS JUST LAZY. HE ONLY KNOWS LIKE 4 CHARACTER TYPES AS MAIN CHARACTERS AND IM SICK OF NOONE ACKNOWLEDGING IT)
