What causes leg pain?
Leg pain can originate from different anatomical structures:
* Muscular:
* Cramps: Painful involuntary muscle contractions, often linked to intense physical effort, dehydration or a lack of certain minerals (magnesium, potassium).
* Muscle tears: muscle damage caused by overstretching or trauma.
* Myalgias: Diffuse muscular pains, often linked to muscular overload or inflammatory diseases.

* Bones:
Fractures: Breakage of a leg bone, usually as a result of trauma.
* Stress fractures: Microfissures in the bone, often caused by repeated overloading (e.g. in athletes).
* Tumors: Although rare, bone tumors can cause pain.
* Articular:
* Osteoarthritis of the knee: Wear and tear of the cartilage in the knee joint can radiate pain down the leg.
* Bursitis: Inflammation of the bursae, small fluid-filled sacs that cushion friction between bones, tendons and muscles.
* Tendonitis: Inflammation of the tendons, often caused by repetitive movements.
* Nervous:
* Sciatica: Compression of the sciatic nerve, causing pain that can radiate from the buttock down the leg to the foot.
* Other neuropathies: Compression or irritation of other nerves in the leg.
* Circulatory:
* Intermittent claudication: Pain in the legs on exertion, due to poor circulation.
* Deep vein thrombosis (DVT): Blood clot in a deep vein, often in the leg, causing pain, swelling and redness.
* Others:
* Varicose veins: Dilated veins that can cause pain, heaviness and cramping.
* Venous problems: Chronic venous insufficiency, phlebitis...
What are the associated symptoms?
Symptoms can vary depending on the cause, but often include:
* Pain: acute, chronic, throbbing, dull, depending on cause.
* Stiffness: Difficulty moving leg.
* Swelling: Around the painful area.
* Redness: Often indicates inflammation.
* Warmth: Sensation of heat in the painful area.
* Numbness or tingling: If a nerve is compressed.
* Weakness: Difficulty walking or bearing weight.
How can leg pain be relieved and treated?
Treatment will depend on the underlying cause and may include:
* Rest: Avoid activities that aggravate pain.
* Ice: Apply ice to reduce inflammation.
* Medication: Anti-inflammatories, analgesics.
* Physiotherapy: Specific exercises to strengthen muscles and improve mobility.
* Orthoses: Splints or bandages to support the leg.
* Injections: Corticosteroids to reduce inflammation.
* Surgery: In some cases, to repair damaged tissue or replace a joint.

love my left forearm trying to go numb while i'm trying to write :))) (edit: left shoulder now too)
#like i can feel the shooting pain that's making it go numb and pulsing#and yeah. literally any part of my body can go numb and just. Not Work anymore until i can get treatment (in march)#and let's say something goes permanently numb before then#which means whatever damage i have by then will be permanent and you can't fix it#and there's a slight very real possibility that i could wake up one morning and not be able to feel my legs#and just be permanently paralyzed#it's a very VERY tiny chance but the fact that the nurse on the phone had even mentioned that#as a reason to go to the ER and get emergency treatment makes me VERY scared#so i'm doing my hobbies as much as i can possibly can now in case i suddenly can't anymore#and yes my speech is getting steadily worse too#and FOUR extra strength tylenol tablets won't even fix my chiari headaches now#even if i do have to eventually go to the ER bc of this i bet they'll make an excuse as to why i can't get an immediate scan#reminder that i can't even get any scans done until march 3rd and treatment may not be able to be started until APRIL#yeah something's gonna give before then and i'll have an Emergency#i just know it#so i'm having to speedrun the process of accepting my impending physical disability#and i'm gonna be real with yall: i'm scared.#mostly bc i've been able bodied for the first 29 years of my life and now it's a slow descent into physical disability#and i'm just. Lost rn

my doctor honestly made me emotional during a visit i had yesterday because i told her i was so fed up with being in pain and i can tell that it's nerve pain when it came to my pelvis and stuff (we talked about my leg being broken too but my most vocal concern was the nerve pain) and i was self conscious about my medication even though i needed it because i've been given some rude accusations and lectures in the past
i honestly fought welling up when she told me that my medical history clearly has VALID reasons for chronic pain lined out and that she wasn't concerned about anything like misuse or drug-seeking at all and honestly after all the hell i've been through with trying to manage it myself (namely with kratom, which is stupid expensive and tolerance can build up fast despite it helping me pretty well, they know about that) and people making their assumptions i genuinely wanted to let the tears flow and just thank her
#dawn speaks#// chronic pain#// vent#i haven't been on opioids for awhile now (other than some for the treatment of my leg of course; nasty breaks)#she upped my gabapentin and cymbalta (while an antidepressant it can also help with neurological pain in some patients) which i'm grateful#but it's nice to be reassured especially by a professional you know?

sometimes i go on a run and get lowkey emotional because i think of how proud past rahul would’ve been of how much i can run and how fast i can run and most importantly how much i enjoy it
#cardio in the form of running always used to be almost sort of a punishment when i was younger?#whenever we lost a game gaffer would make us do running drills and we hated it#ran a lot in the sports i played but we weren’t there for that#when i was a young teenager i developed this unexplainable chronic pain in my legs#couldn’t walk for more than small stretches for two years before i got this specific treatment#docs still don’t know what it was. but thinking of that rahul that was in pain all the time just walking#and had to give up a lot of sports he loved during that period of time#and knowing that he played after. that he plays still. that he runs now and he loves it. that he can run at all#genuinely makes me emotional man. those minutes on the long road by myself mean so much to me#anyway sorry for this ramble LMAO

My campaign is verified and added to the Gaza Donations page with number 192.
Thank you for documenting my campaign from the following accounts:
@sar-soor @heba-20 @el-shab-hussein @90-ghost @soon-palestine@ibtisams @marnota @riding-with-the-wild-hunt @i-am-aprl @northgazaupdates @fallahifag @fairuzfan
I love you all 🙏🙏♥️🌹
I am Mohammed Almanasra, 32 years old, married, and a father of three children: Abdulrahman, 6 years old, Sarah, 4 years old, and Lina, 3 years old.

My story began with the loss of my parents and four of my sisters, who were bombed and lost their lives along with their children after the events of October 7 and the severe war on Gaza. Now, I am facing a severe injury to my leg, which is at risk of amputation if I do not receive the necessary treatment. My wife, children, and I are displaced, without parents or siblings, and my wife is also suffering from uterine cancer.

Recently, I moved to the south of the Gaza Strip, fearing for the lives of my children. We left behind our memories and our new home, for which we had not finished paying the installments, in addition to losing my job. Currently, I live in a tent that does not protect me from the heat of summer or the cold of winter, and without the minimum necessary livinng basics including water, food medical care, clothe and even bedding .

I suffer from a chronic asthma and severe attacks from tightness and an extreme allergy in the ear and I need medicine that are not available, or very expensive .

Under these difficult circumstances, after five attempts at displacement and narrowly escaping death from the bombing, I am trying with all my might to protect my family, the most precious thing I have.
My dreams were shattered, and my house was destroyed, and I found myself living in a tent no larger than 4 square metres. My work turned from a tailor to a street vendor in order to barely buy a few crumbs of bread to feed my children.

Look at what happened to my children because of the intense heat and the insects that thrive in the summer season. Every day, I take them to the hospital to treat them due to poisonous insect bites. I implore every kind-hearted soul to help me protect my children.
My son, Abdul Rahman, has a deep passion for playing football and is a devoted fan of Real Madrid. He always dreamed of playing football at his school, but the war prevented this dream from coming true.

Where are you, Real Madrid fans ?
Help Abdul Rahman achieve his dream.

Every donation will make an enormous difference in helping me save my family.
I feel very sad and embarrassed to ask for help, but I have no other options left. I know that this request is difficult, but I also know that there is still humanity and living consciences and I believe in miracles.
Your support during this extremely difficult time will give us hope in the midst of devastation and despair.
If you have any inquiries or questions, feel free to ask me, please!
To everyone with a compassionate heart,
To all who understand the essence of humanity,
This is a message from my innocent children, who trust that their words will reach everyone who truly understands the meaning of childhood.
We cry out to you, asking you to feel our sorrow and pain, and to extend a helping hand to us in this time when we are in desperate need of your mercy and compassion.
My name is being repeatedly added to many public and private donation campaigns. Please, be a support for me in this difficult situation.
