Mini-review:

I've been watching this as it aired and it's been the breather I needed every week. Some people might be thrown off by the over the top, cartoonish style of the show, but that's exactly what makes it so unabashedly fun. It's basically like watching a shonen manga come to life (or in this case, an action webtoon). The fight scenes, especially those in the first and last episodes, showcase stunning choreography and effects, the likes you don't usually see in K-dramas. And the cast more than lives up to the demands of the show, in terms of both acting and physicality. It feels like Study Group leaves the door pretty open for more seasons, so if that ends up happening, they can count me right in.

I don't know that I was paying a ton of attention to specific Business Gay Performance moments of the year, so I guess I'll talk about folks who I think do it well.

Daou Pittaya and Offroad Kantapon

Offroad was the best thing in Our Days last year, and his chemistry with Daou feels easy. I like the way they do their BGP because it feels so relaxed and like they're actually having fun with it. I also like that Daou draws the line with fans when they overstep. Also, the two of them always look like a pair of lesbians from about 22 years ago and it works for me every single time.

Higuchi Kouhei and Mashiko Atsuki

These two recognized they had a hit and immediately started doing BGP. The easy laughter between the two of them, along with their stunning visuals makes them a fun follow online. Also, it's just funny watching the poor Japanese actors struggle to say GagaOOlala.

Jiang Dian and Bowen Chen

Their chemistry was so good that they stole their show, but I also really love the way Dian talks about working with Bowen.

Lee Seung Gyu and Lee Jong Hyuk

I wish more of their interviews had been translated into English. These two were so diligent and focused about bringing their characters to life on Our Dating Sim. Standouts of the year for me.

Net Siraphop and James Supamongkon

They're just so beautiful together all the time. They really make it look effortless. People around here also seem relatively normal about them. I've not been too deep with them, but it's been nice to just admire them without having to dodge people like Dwight on the Office.
