Let's transform a 0 point 0 1 square meter space into a functional house. Mannequin Mark lived frugally and worked diligently in a woodworking business for two years managing to save up half a million to buy a house in New York.
However, upon moving in, he was shocked by how small it was, tripping upon walking in but was saved by his childhood eagle. He couldn't even fit his grandma's coffin.
Poor Mark had to tie himself up to the doorframe to get a proper night's rest. He would lay on his eagle's and cry. Eventually, he got sick of it and decided for renovation.
Now, let's explore how we can help Mannequin Mark transform it into a functional home.
First, we'll construct a durable frame using galvanized square steel anchored firmly to the wall with expansion screws borrowed from his aunt filled with grid steel bars and concrete for lasting strength.
We'll also install thermally broken aluminum windows, expanding the living space by 2 square meters.
Next, we'll build a multifunctional sitting platform on the floor with hidden storage underneath for bulky items, saving precious space and providing a seating area for Mark and his husband, Wallter. This platform doubles as a comfortable bed that can fit two people, surrounded by cushion panels in blue and yellow for a better rest.
We'll add a movable table on the bed to serve as both a workspace and dining area, with an outlet switch nearby for charging devices, making it perfect for work and meals.
After use, the table can be stored beside the bed, keeping the space organized. Add a projector and projector screen so he can watch his Korean Dramas.
We'll then construct a bedframe from galvanized square steel, enhancing its appearance with eco-friendly wood veneers.
Incorporate a pre-buried drainage system for convenience. Build a set of wall cabinets with a countertop drilled to embed a sink. Underneath, install a build in washing-machine to keep dirty laundry at bay.
Convert the countertop for dual use by placing an induction cooker for cooking, and install a mirror cabinet above. Next to the mirror, add a cabinet for spices and toiletries. Install a showerhead on the wall and an enlarged stand, allowing even space to ride a horse while showering.
Now his tiny space has everything he needs
"Did tou just send me an entire fucking home decor story or whatever. For MANNEQUIN_MARK.?"

AU where Sirius gets his name cleared after PoA and Peter actually faces the time for his crimes instead of Sirius. Sirius takes in Harry instantly, be damned the long winded argument with Dumbledore about the protection that the Dursley’s gave him, there was no fucking way he was letting Harry go back there.
Instead of Sirius trying to shove away his past and destroy the remnants of it, he actually tries to renovate Grimmauld Place with Harry. And over time, both Sirius and Harry begin to create their own kind of family; neither is using the other as a replacement for James anymore.
Lupin comes over an exponential amount over that summer. At first, it was just check ins. Making sure that Sirius was doing okay, that whole thing, and if Harry ever saw the two lingering in each others’ presence and touch for a little too long, he never mentioned it. He didn’t mention when Lupin began spending the night nearly every week, he didn’t mention when it was his turn to do laundry and over half of Sirius’ loads were Remus’ clothes, and he certainly didn’t mention what both men thought were unnoticeable shows of affection. He didn’t mind Remus and Sirius, as Remus was a much better cook than Sirius, and Remus always cooked for them.
Finally, during their huge renovation project, Harry finds the tapestry. The family tree tapestry. He wasn’t surprised by its size, or by the fact he noticed the clear incest between Walaburga and Orion. What did surprise him, though, was the dark black singe marks covering several shitty illustrations, names resting just under it. He stared painfully at the black spot just above the name Sirius Black. Harry doesn’t mention it to Sirius, but he certainly asks Remus about it. Remus, although hesitant, explains how Sirius practically ran away, living with the Potters for a good portion of his teen years. How his parents saw him a blood traitor and Mugglelover (also said with a different, much more offensive, spelling. Remus simply refused to say it for sake of explanation). Harry tried about a hundred times to remove the tapestry, even resorting to cutting it at one point. The stupid threads just merged together once again.
Then, he gets an idea. He loves this idea. He makes Hermione get him an array paint during one of her and Ron’s near weekly visits, and the trio spend about two hours painting over the entirety of the tapestry. Just painting it black. Then, they paint over the black with a couple words and illustrations.
They don’t tell Sirius or Remus, no no. They wait. And Harry watches the room like a hawk. Finally, Sirius begrudgingly enters with a half full trash bag, Remus gently trailing behind, a trash bag in his hand as well. Harry is sure to be close behind, wanting to see Sirius’ reaction.
Sirius stands in the doorway for quite some time, staring at the tapestry.
The tapestry no longer held the names of all his abusers and his regrets and these deceased people whom he was supposed to idolize. No no. Now, in bright, bold, gold lettering, the top of the tapestry read: “The Super Cool and Awesome House of Black and Potter” in a much smaller print, just under the large one, it read: “And Significantly Better Than The Dogshite House of Black By Itself”. In the center of the tapestry, it holds a family tree. An array of poorly painted white lines with finely painted names. It was the Potter family tree. There read the names Fleamont and Euphemia Moon Potter, a line connecting them both and then down brought two lines indicating offspring; one read James Potter, the other Sirius Black. From James, Lily Evans Potter was connected, and a line indicating offspring lead to Harry, yet a line connected Harry and Sirius, a line almost indicating offspring, but having a couple dashes here and there.
Sirius sobs, holding his head in his hands as both Remus and Harry attempt to calm him down, sporting gentle smiles and soft-spoken words.
After the emotions all mostly calm down, Sirius hugs Harry for what has to be ten minutes, neither one pulling away from each other. Harry had never been held so tightly and so long before; he rarely was hugged to begin with. By the end of it, both of them are silently crying in each others’ arms.
“Y’think you and your mates can paint over that bitch of a woman who insists on calling herself my mother,” Sirius then asks over dinner, and Remus makes a comment about language, but Harry just laughs.
“Of course,” he breathes through a laugh, nodding. Sirius hums happily and nods. He was certain this was the happiest he had been in nearly thirteen years. He needed this. He needed his people. His family.

Not done a life update in a bit. Sorry man. I doubt anyone actually reads this nonsense but eh.
First & foremost, ya girl obtained a button maker & is making buttons of FUCKING EVERYTHING. I love it. Other WIP include hand painting doodles on my headboard with micro brushes & craft paint. It's a good thing to do when bedridden. I beat BOTW & TOTK, then beat both of the first 2 Southpark Games, & bought a bundle of 50 Sega Genesis games that I mess around with when I get tired of puzzling over Shadows Over Loathing.
Yesterday I dismembered a swing set that was sketchy in its structural integrity & am using scrap to make a cat tree that the cats can use to come & go from my bathroom window. (Don't worry, I'm not a moron. We made it so they can't get out of our yard the same way we did for the chickens.) I replaced our sliding glass door because it was gonna Final Destination someone & statistically I was most at risk. So I ripped it all out & replaced it will new framing, french doors, drywall, siding, and a dog door.
The Man is still running for mayor. We will see how that shakes out. He has low key given me license to decorate/renovate however I see fit because I have good taste, talent, skill, and as he put it "the one who is legit trapped here the most & thus should have it decorated to enrich your enclosure, babygirl". That man is absurd... but not wrong.
Beyond that, there's not much. The Spawn is in her first apartment with a girlfriend from work, so I get calls about storage solutions, plants, and asking to raid my fridge. Oh and the one call in which 3 girls in the background were gushing because the gist of the call was "Mom everyone wants a fruit hammock like you made for me".
The 3 Bonus Kids are OK. The eldest starts h.s. next semester & is trying out for football & has really turned things around for the most part. The middle starts m.s. next year & is behaving like a middle school girl, but is also very sweet. The youngest is still on her "oh I'm just a little baby who can't use her words & wants her dada" bullshit despite her mother's second child approaching a year of existence. I basically just pretend I don't understand or hear her until she uses actual words & I don't do tantrums. You wanna scream because you didn't get your way? Cool, but you're gonna do it in your room. The older 2 have realized that I will absolutely pay them CASH if they do chores, so I made an alacart style list of chores, the definition of said chore, and the payment for it if done correctly and they know that I will happily supervise & help them learn. I think it helps that I have really framed it as chores and stuff are meant to give them the independence of having money while teaching them necessary skills for adulting (cleaning, cooking, budgeting). Plus, you are a member of the household community & thus should contribute in whatever way you can. Example: the youngest is 6, but helps me change laundry over (saving my back), puts her laundry away, likes to clean mirrors or magic eraser the walls.
Oh yeah and I'm at a point where the unrelenting agony & exhaustion have made me enraged, as happens when spring hits after a long winter sometimes. Hence the murder of the swing set & my upcoming relocation & repair of the chicken fence.

How to Test and Enhance Indoor Air Quality in to Breathe Better
Indoor air quality greatly impacts your family's health and comfort. Indoor air quality testing and making improvements ensures your home's environment is clean and healthy to breathe. Pollutants, allergens, and stale air can lead to problems like headaches, fatigue, asthma attacks, and more. This blog explores helpful tips to monitor air quality and enhance it through simple upgrades.
- Check for Visible Signs of Problems
Carefully look around your home for visible clues signaling indoor air issues. Water stains or damp areas indicate excess moisture that enables mold growth. A musty or stale smell may also point to hidden mold. Dust on surfaces and air vents means particulates are circulating. Take note of potential trouble spots.
- Hire Professional Testing
For thorough indoor air quality testing, hire a specialist to conduct a professional onsite analysis of your home's air. They use high-tech equipment to test for various gasses, particulates, allergens, and hazards. A detailed lab report will quantify issues and recommend solutions tailored to your home.
- Improve Ventilation
Stale indoor air develops higher levels of VOCs, humidity, and CO2. Improving ventilation brings in fresh outdoor air and removes pollutants. Open windows regularly when possible. Upgrade HVAC filters to ones with high MERV ratings to remove more particulates. Consider installing an energy recovery ventilator (ERV).
- Monitor Conditions Continuously
You can continuously monitor indoor air via a proper indoor air quality monitor tool such as smart sensors. These detect VOCs, humidity, CO2, PM2.5 particulates, radon, and more, displaying real-time readings on your phone. Monitoring 24/7 quickly alerts you when conditions become unhealthy between tests.
- Add Air Purifying Plants
Certain houseplants naturally filter indoor air. The best choices are snake plants, aloe vera, English ivy, peace lilies, and spider plants. Keep them healthy and watered so they actively purify. Group many plants together in problem areas for the most significant impact. Their soil also absorbs harmful chemicals.
- Use Air Purifiers Strategically
A quality indoor air purifier actively captures particulates, allergens, smoke, VOCs, and more that plants can't. Please place them in rooms where you spend the most time and sleep. Size units appropriately for each space and run them daily. Look for high CADR ratings and additional carbon filters for removing odors.
- Fix Moisture Problems
Excess moisture enables mold growth and dust mites that reduce air quality. Fix any plumbing leaks. Install dehumidifiers to maintain 35-45% indoor humidity. Ensure bathrooms and laundry have working exhaust fans vented outside. Address damp basements and water intrusions. Dry, not moist, air is ideal.
- Upgrade Home Filters
The HVAC system circulates air through filters before heating or cooling it. Upgrade to pleated filters with a high MERV rating of 12-16 to remove more dust, pollen, and allergens. Change filters every 1-3 months per manufacturer guidelines for clean air circulation.
- Modify Household Activities
Common household activities also impact or improve indoor air quality. When cooking, turn on kitchen and bathroom fans to ventilate. Use exhaust hoods when gas stoves are on. Only keep necessary chemicals/cleaners stored safely. Follow directions when using VOC-producing products and allow proper drying time.
- Have Mold Professionally Removed
If you already have a mold problem, don't try to remove it yourself. The spores can worsen air quality and health issues. Hire accredited mold remediation specialists to inspect, test, and safely remove all building materials containing mold. Completely fixing moisture issues also helps control mold growth.
- Use Low-VOC Paints and Finishes
Many paints and finishes release VOCs that lower indoor air quality. When renovating or decorating, choose low-VOC and zero-VOC options. Look for green labels like GreenSeal or EcoLogo that verify lower emissions. Open windows and use fans to ventilate when applying paints and finishes.
- Vacuum Regularly With a HEPA Filter
Frequent vacuuming removes dust and allergens from carpets, upholstery, and floors before they circulate in the air. Always use a true HEPA filter vacuum to capture the smallest particles. Empty the dust bin after each use, so particulates don't re-enter the air when you resume vacuuming.
The Bottom Line
Achieving healthy indoor air requires identifying and addressing any issues through indoor air quality testing and monitoring. Improving ventilation, adding plants and air purifiers, controlling moisture, and modifying household habits can all help optimize indoor air quality. With a proactive approach, you can breathe easier in a home with clean, allergen and pollutant-free air.

Elevating Home Value through Bathroom Remodeling in Covington
Bathroom remodeling in Covington is not simply about modernizing an antiquated space; it's a strategic move to enhance the comfort, functionality, and overall value of a home. With property owners eager to upgrade their living spaces, bathroom remodels become a focal point for those intending to create an oasis of relaxation while boosting the appeal and marketability of their property. Here are several aspects homeowners should consider when planning a bathroom renovation.
1. Personalized Shower Layouts
A custom shower design can transform a mundane bathroom into a luxurious spa-like retreat. By focusing on shower layouts that tailor to personal preferences and spatial constraints, homeowners can ensure efficient use of space without sacrificing style. Innovative features such as rainfall showerheads, built-in benches, and frameless glass enclosures are popular enhancements that elevate the bathing experience.
2. Flooring That Fits Every Taste
Flooring options play a critical role in the aesthetics and durability of any bathroom remodel. From solid hardwood to engineered varieties or practical laminate and luxury vinyl plank (LVP), there's no shortage of materials to choose from. Homeowners might opt for nail-in, or glue-down installation methods based on the chosen flooring type or prefer the versatility of floating floors which provide ease in replacement and repair.
3. The Artistry of Kitchen Backsplashes
While bathrooms are central points for renovations, incorporating kitchen backsplashes during an overall home update adds flair and protection to your cooking area. Backsplashes come in various materials like glass, ceramic tile, or stone mosaics offering both decorative elements and practical benefits by protecting walls from spills and splatters.
4. Laundry Remodels: Function Meets Design
Expanding beyond just bathroom remodeling means reimagining utility spaces like laundry rooms as well. Upgrades such as custom cabinetry, improved lighting solutions, and ergonomic design can drastically improve functionality while creating cohesive aesthetics with other remodeled areas within the house.
5. Resale Value Enhancement
Remodeling bathrooms brings substantial returns on investment when selling is on the horizon especially so in competitive markets like Covington. Well-executed updates featuring high-quality materials often attract potential buyers willing to pay premium prices for homes ready to meet their needs without additional input from them financially or creatively.
The ripple effects of bathroom renovations extend throughout homes in both tangible forms through increased equity and intangible ones by enriching daily life experiences within one's dwelling place.

Contemplating a Home Remodel: Consider Your Plumbing First
Undertaking a home remodel is an exciting endeavor that allows homeowners to transform their living spaces into their dream homes. Whether it involves renovating a kitchen, expanding a bathroom, or adding an extra room, there are many factors to consider before diving into such a project. One vital aspect that homeowners often overlook is the plumbing system. While plumbing may not be the most glamorous topic of conversation, it is undeniably important when it comes to the functionality and comfort of your home. This article aims to shed light on why considering your plumbing should be a top priority when contemplating a home remodel.
The Importance of Plumbing in Your Home
Before delving into the specific considerations related to plumbing during a home remodel, it is crucial to understand the importance of a well-functioning plumbing system. Plumbing is the intricate network of pipes, fixtures, and appliances that provide water, gas, and drainage to every part of your home. Without proper plumbing, basic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene would become extremely challenging.
A well-designed and properly installed plumbing system ensures a reliable supply of clean water for drinking, cooking, and bathing, as well as effective wastewater removal. Moreover, efficient plumbing can contribute to energy conservation and reduced water consumption, leading to cost savings over time. Therefore, neglecting your plumbing during a home remodel can result in detrimental consequences to the overall functionality and value of your property.
Assessing Your Plumbing Needs
When contemplating a home remodel, it is essential to assess your plumbing needs to ensure that your project aligns with both your vision and the capabilities of your existing plumbing system. There are several factors to consider during this evaluation process:
1. Existing Plumbing Infrastructure
Understanding the layout and condition of your current plumbing infrastructure is crucial before embarking on any remodeling project. Consider the location of existing pipes, supply lines, and drainage systems. Identifying the main water shutoff valve and sewer access points is also important for future maintenance and emergency situations. This information will assist in determining the feasibility of your remodel plans and potential challenges that may arise.
2. Water Pressure and Flow
Assessing the water pressure and flow in your home is vital when contemplating a remodel, especially if you plan to add new fixtures or appliances. Inadequate water pressure can lead to frustrating experiences while performing daily tasks such as showering or washing dishes. Understanding the capacity of your plumbing system and whether it can accommodate increased demands is crucial in avoiding disappointments and costly modifications down the line.
3. Fixture and Appliance Placement
When redesigning your living spaces, carefully consider the placement of fixtures and appliances that require plumbing connections. Whether it is a new kitchen island, a redesigned bathroom layout, or an additional laundry room, the positioning of these elements must be practical and align with the existing plumbing infrastructure. Relocating pipes and supply lines can add significant expenses to your remodel budget, so strategic planning is key.
4. Code Compliance and Permits
Before undertaking any major home remodel, it is crucial to verify that your planned modifications comply with local plumbing codes and regulations. Failure to obtain necessary permits or adhere to code requirements can lead to serious consequences, including fines and issues during the inspection process. Hiring a licensed plumber or consulting with a professional can help ensure that your remodel project meets all legal and safety standards.
Working with Professionals
While some homeowners may feel confident in tackling small plumbing tasks themselves, a home remodel often requires the expertise of a professional plumber. Hiring a licensed plumber offers several advantages:
1. Expert Advice and Design Assistance
Experienced plumbers can provide valuable insights and recommendations during the planning stage of your remodel. They understand the intricacies of plumbing systems and can help optimize your project to ensure functionality and efficiency. Their expertise can help you explore various options and select fixtures, appliances, and materials that best suit your needs and preferences.
2. Quality Installations and Repairs
A professional plumber possesses the necessary skills and tools to perform high-quality installations and repairs. Whether it involves connecting new pipes, installing fixtures, or rerouting existing plumbing, their expertise ensures that the work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations. Moreover, professional installations reduce the risk of leaks and other plumbing malfunctions that can arise from poor workmanship.
3. Time and Cost Savings
Though hiring a professional plumber may come at an upfront cost, it can save homeowners significant time and money in the long run. Professionals can identify potential issues before they escalate, preventing costly repairs or modifications in the future. Additionally, their efficiency and expertise allow for quicker project completion, minimizing the disruption to your daily life during the remodeling process.
Conclusion
When contemplating a home remodel, it is imperative not to overlook the importance of plumbing. A well-designed and properly installed plumbing system is integral to the functionality, comfort, and value of your home. Take the time to assess your plumbing needs, consider the feasibility of your remodel plans, and seek professional assistance when necessary. By prioritizing your plumbing, you can ensure a successful and satisfying home remodel that enhances both your enjoyment and the long-term value of your property.

Spare time
So obviously the turtles can't train 24/7 (no not even Leo) so this is what I assume they would keep busy with
Leo
Normally
Has his free time planned into a schedule
Always keeps busy
Would make time for you but if you don't see him on a regular basis you'd have to let him know up front
Not that he'd just leave you alone to do whatever he had planned if you come to the lair unexpected, but he'd have to completely change his schedule again
Likes to meditate with his dad sometimes
He's definitely read spaceheroes fanfictions or headcanons like the geek he is
Also likes writing them but he's not very good at it so he keeps them unpublished
Likes baking (under supervision)
When he's bored
Watches spaceheroes again
Endless scrolling through tiktok
Rearranges the furniture in his room
Would probably do chores and secretly enjoys folding laundry
Takes a shower or does other forms of self-care
Raph
Normally
Watches movies or series
Likes to just listen to music and do nothing once in a while
Plays his drumset
He'll go outside for a walk
Or to smash things
Or both
Most of the time he'll go see if Casey is free to join in on smashing things
Also enjoys playing games like gtaV
Likes building or fixing things around the house, like broken paper screens
Makes a little woodsculpture once in a while
So far he has made a bear, a wolf, an owl, a squirrel, one of those old cars, a spoon, and a turtle ofcourse
When he's bored
Tries to do trick shots
Looks up "how to not be bored" and does whatever it says
Bored eating
Instagram
Plays some game on his phone that he downloaded from an ad
Donnie
Normally
Likes to code or build things
Endlessly researching whatever he's currently interested in
Sketching new inventions
Likes to just stare at a wall and think
Makes plans for events that will probably never happen, like how to take over the world or how he would break out of prison
When he's bored
Online shopping
Would clean and organise his lab
Asks his brothers for broken trinkets to fix
Or let's Leo touch the toaster if there's nothing else to fix
Takes a nap
Reads a few chapters of a book he started and never finished
Looks up complicated math equations and sees if he can solve them
Mikey
Normally
Loves to play video games like Mario kart and some other games on his DS
Goes skateboarding
Sometimes he goes on Omegle (without being on screen obviously) and talks to strangers and makes new friends
Likes to practice his sweet dance moves and maybe learn some new ones
Really likes painting and usually makes a huge mess
Likes to cook (dinner) or make lunch for everyone
When he's bored
Prepares pranks
Does things like balance the light switch or see how many of *insert thing* he can stack
Just walks around the lair
Tries on some of the clothes he has
Just like Raph, he's a bored eater
Together
Leo just likes to go see what his brothers are doing and sit with them for a while, even if he's not bored
Mikey, Donnie and Leo like to draw and color together
Raph sometimes joins them but not always
Raph and Mikey like to just wrestle for fun and Raph and Leo like to spar once in a while
Raph and Leo play card games together
Donnie likes to prepare chemistry experiments and show them to Mikey and explain the science behind it, though Mikey is mostly there for the sparks and explosions
Donnie sometimes let's Mikey make a drawing or idea for an invention that Donnie will then try to make reality
Raph and Mikey will go play pranks on the poor people on the streets of New York
Raph and Mikey also like to read and discuss comics together
Donnie and Raph like to take on fixing large things together, like fixing the shell raiser or maybe even renovate the house
Donnie and Raph also like to watch a series together once in a while
Leo and Donnie like to have discussions about anything and everything. When they disagree about things, a lot of the time it's head against heart, but they both appreciate that the other has a different point of view
Mikey joins them sometimes, but he always ends up with saying things like "okay, but what if the zombi-apocolypse would happen at that moment though" as an counterargument
Leo also likes to help Donnie out with his inventions (because sometimes you just need one person to hold something in place, while the other puts in the screws) while Donnie will often talk about how he feels about April
Leo and Mikey like to do creative things together and like to also take that as a moment to check in on how the other one is doing
They would all play boardgames together and play Mazes&Mutants
They'd definitely also do a lot of less wholesome sibling things when they're bored but that my friends is a post for another day...

Silent Treatment ~ OT7 [M] [Request]
WORD COUNT: 3.3K
PAIRING: ot7 x reader
GENRE: ot7, non! Idol, family relationship, smut, oral f recieving, female appreciation, we’re sorry sex,
A/N: I’m still not 100% there with ot7 smut, I am trying though so I hope that this is okay for you! I didn’t add too much smut as you only said a little. I hope you like it!
If someone had told you that you would be in a happy relationship with seven men, you never would have believed them. You never took yourself as someone who would be into polyamorous relationships but when you met the boys it all changed. They were kind, sweet, caring and they all loved you equally so it was no wonder you fell hard for them. Eventually moving into a huge home together and having a child. The only difficult part about that was explaining to your daughter’s teachers that she had different people going to pick her up from school. The dirty looks you would get from other people who thought your business was automatically their business when it had absolutely nothing to do with them.
“Mummy!” You snapped out of your daydream when you heard the familiar cry of your daughter’s voice. The more she grew older the more she began to look like you. Which you were thankful for. Neither you nor the boys knew which of them was the father, none of you wanted to know either. Collectively she was your child and that was the only thing that mattered.
“Hey sweetie, how was your day?” You questioned as you bent down to pick her up, placing her onto your hip as she began to list off everything she had been doing in class that day. You couldn’t believe she was almost seven years old, time flew by so quickly with her.
“We did maths! I learnt how to multiply up to 10 today.” You giggled as you began heading back to the family car. It was supposed to be Yoongi’s turn picking her up today but it turned out he was busy and stuck at work. No big deal, you were mostly a stay-at-home mum and wife anyway since seven of them earnt far more than you knew what to do with.
“Are my dad’s at home?” A filthy look flew in your direction from the woman in the car beside your car. You weren’t stupid. You knew how everyone felt about your relationship with her fathers. Even the teachers in the school weren't best pleased that your daughter understood that she had more than one father. They expressed that they would rather have her know them as her uncles but who were they to tell you how to raise your daughter?
“Daddy Namjoon and Jungkook are but they’re a little busy, sweetie.” You strapped her into the back of your car, taking her book bag from her to check if she had homework to do.
Normally it was Namjoon’s job to help with the homework, something you were trying to make happen so she knew it was okay as she grew older but not tonight. Tonight he and Jungkook were making renovations on the house so it was going to be you that helped her out.
“Okay, I’ll ask daddy Hoseok to teach me some dance moves when he comes home. We have an end of the year dance coming up and I want to ask Jaylyn and Katie to go with me.” You smiled weakly at her. The boys were all busy with their own things tonight but you nodded along, not wanting to upset her too much before you got home for the night.
“Shall we put on some music or would you like to keep telling me about the dance?” You looked in the mirror at your daughter who pointed to the radio. One of her favourite things to do was listen to music. Something she had gotten from Yoongi. He was a radio jingle maker/ producer on the side which meant he was almost always busy with work.
“Maybe we’ll hear daddy Yoongi’s radio jingle,” You told her with a laugh as you turned up the radio and began your drive home for the night.
Your daughter had something from each of the boys, Yoongi’s love for music, Hoseok passion for dancing. Namjoon’s brain, Jungkook’s ability to be good at literally everything that she set her mind at. Jimin’s duality, Taehyung’s art skills and she took after Jin with her loud rambling in Korean. There was so much of them in her it was hard to believe she was only one of their children.
Once your daughter had finished her homework you allowed her to go and play while you cleaned up the house. It seemed that no matter how much you tidied up it would end up a total mess again. Clothes were strewn about on the top floor where everyone would come home and dump everything they had on. Shoes were piled up at the bottom of the stairs in front of the front door. Somewhat of a safety hazard. The floors seemed to always get dirty no matter how many times a day you cleaned them.
“What do you have planned for dinner?” Was the first question that flew from Jimin’s mouth once he entered the house. Shoes on messing up your freshly moped floors. Staring at him you almost wanted to slap him with the wet part of the mop.
“Jimin! I just moped!” You called out as you sat him leaving dirty shoe prints all over the place, seeming to have no care in the world as he made his way into the kitchen and heading into the pantry.
“Relax. It’s just a bit of mud.” He grumbled as he continued to go through the cupboards for snacks. Dropping different packets onto the floor that he didn't bother to pick up once he came out with what he wanted.
“What did you say you had planned?” He questioned when you began cleaning up the mess he left and then began putting everything you had been using away.
“I didn’t, I don’t have anything planned.” You grumbled as you put the cleaning products away into the kitchen cupboards. Standing back up and looking over at Jimin who shrugged his shoulders.
“Nothing planned?” Jungkook’s voice chimed in as he heard you speaking. By now all of the boys were home and expecting something to eat as if you were the only one that knew how to use the oven.
“Yes, nothing planned because guess what? I’m not the only one that knows how to cook.” You snapped as you glanced at each of their faces. You hadn't meant to snap as nastily as you did but it was getting to be exhausting being the only one that cooked and cleaned everything in the home.
“You’re the only one that has nothing to do all day. You've done nothing, the least you could have done was made dinner,” As soon as the words left Jungkooks lips the air seemed to turn cold and thin. Everyone turned to stare at him as you scoffed at the statement. The only reason you didn't work was that they had convinced you that they earnt enough, there was no need to work because who would look after your daughter all day.
“I did nothing all day?” Your hand rested on your hip as you tilted your head to the side. The boys said nothing leaving Jungkook to dig himself a bigger grave.
“I didn’t mean-”
“I do nothing? So I don’t clean all day, make breakfast and lunch for you, or take our daughter to school..." Jungkook turned pale as he realised how angry he had made you.
"I don't pick her up even though it’s everyone else's turn. I don’t do the laundry, make sure the studies are clean or go food shopping, parent and teacher meetings?” Jungkook was taken back by everything he realised you did. He had no idea that you did so much leaving them to get on with whatever they wanted to do.
“Y/n you’re being dramatic,” Taehyung mumbled as he shook his head, to him this was all easy work. Nothing about what you had said seemed as tiring as you were making it out to be,
“You know what...I don’t even have the energy for this,” You began making your way to the door when you heard Yoongi speak out this time,
“It's not like you work a full-time job, we would help but we work more than you do.” There it was. The "you don't work but we do" line. Something you had been anticipating since the moment they told you that you didn't have to work. Looking at each of their faces you knew from the moment you saw them they agreed with Yoongi.
“So you think being a mother isn’t a full-time job? That everything I do around the house is easy? Oh, please I would love to see you fucking try it for once.” You countered,
“You’re being stupid, they didn't mean it like that." All that you heard fall from Jin's lips was that you were stupid. You stared at him mouth hanging open a little but nothing came out. You just shook your head and stormed out of the room.
Ignoring them all as you stormed up to your bedroom. Normally you would share it with one boy a night, or two if you needed the extra cuddles but right now you needed to be alone. You walked past one of the studies to find your daughter fast asleep holding her barbies. Luckily she was away for the fiasco going on downstairs so you picked her up and carried her to your room. If they saw she was with you they wouldn't bother trying to get into the bed with you.
Days passed by and the boys barely noticed you were giving them the silent treatment. They were all so busy with their jobs that they didn't speak to you. Meanwhile, you played the role of the pretty little housewife that made everything perfect for them while they were away. The house was spotless, your daughter was at school on time and picked up at the same time.
"Darling, go and tell your dad's that dinner is waiting for them." You told her as you set the table for eight. Making sure your daughter's spot was right at the top of the table before putting their plates down and heading up to your room. There were piles of laundry sitting on the bed waiting to be put away.
"Daddy," She called out as she walked into the back garden. They were all working on a new wendy house for her. They were trying to make it bigger than the last one so that everyone could fit into the house for tea parties.
"Yes, sweetie?" Jin called out as she came bounding over to him, jumping into his arms and smiling.
"Mummy told me to tell you that dinner is ready," She looked at all of them and Jungkook clapped loudly.
"Break time!" He chuckled rubbing his hands together and heading into the house.
The dining room was empty and only eight placemats were set at the table.
"Where is mummy?" Namjoon questioned your daughter who was sitting in your usual spot. She simply shrugged her shoulders before eating.
"I haven't seen her much and when I do she's silent which isn't like her," Jin mumbled as he began to eat the food you'd made, everything tasted fantastic like it always did when you cooked for them.
"I tried to speak to her this morning but she ignored me," Jungkook mumbled as he pushed food into his mouth,
"I don't blame her, you were rude on Tuesday." Hoseok reminded him of the day of the fight. That wasn't really a fight more like a disagreement.
"We all were." Namjoon corrected him as they continued to think back on it.
The weekend continued on just like that. You were sending messages to the boys through your daughter using her as a messenger owl while the boys did the same back. Monday morning came around and you were standing outside the school gates with your daughter.
"Mum?" You looked at her as you zipped up her coat, grabbing her bookbag.
"What is it, sweetie?" You questioned as you made sure her hair was perfect and she looked good to go.
"Are you and my daddies going to spilt up?" You looked at her and then over at the school as the bell rang.
"No, we're just having a small fight baby that's all." You whispered as you kissed her forehead. If you tried to explain it now she'd be late for school.
"Go, I promise we'll make up while you're at school." She began rushing off in the direction of her class and you waved goodbye until the doors completely shut and you could head home.
Home where all of the boys were waiting for you. They had collectively decided to take the day off from work so they could get to the bottom of whatever was wrong with you.
"So what's the problem with you?" Jungkook questioned earning a slap around the back of the head from Namjoon who was trying to be the levelheaded one throughout all of this.
"What he means to say is, why are we getting the silent treatment?" Namjoon reiterated the question but in a different manner.
"Let me see...Tuesday night ring a bell?" You questioned as you walked past them and into the kitchen. Beginning to get started with the housework when Hoseok pulled you into a tight hug from behind. Your whole body seemed to melt into his as you missed the contact from each of them.
"We were being idiots, we were tired and irritated with our jobs and we took it out on you." He whispered in your ear as he kept his arms around your tightly never once letting go.
"Let us make it up to you," He whispered again, his breath making your back tingle as you shook your head. Getting away from him as quickly as you could. He knew what his whispers and touching did to you.
"You think I'm just going to forget what you said with a simple, "we were irritated?" Because that's not how it works!" You snapped at them all, glancing over all of their faces to see if they truly meant what they were saying.
"We didn't mean for it to be so mean and we're sorry," Yoongi told you as he stepped closer to you, holding your hand and running his fingers over your knuckles.
"We know how much you do and how hard you work," Jungkook stood up from the sofa and made his way into the kitchen to look at you.
"Now, please...Let us make it up to you." Yoongi told you again as he stepped closer to you. Running his hand up and down your cheek as you relaxed into his touch.
"None of you have actually said sorry except for Yoongi." You moved closer to Yoongi, wrapping your arms around the back of his neck as you giggled.
"So maybe I should only forgive him." You looked at the boys as your lips slowly began to kiss up and down Yoongi's neck, biting down softly right at the nape of his neck. His weakest point.
"No! We're sorry! I'm sorry." Taehyung whined out desperately as he so wanted to have your body on his. It had been so long since any of you had been together intimately it was starting to become too much to be away.
Seven apologies later and you were laid on the bed making out with Yoongi while Namjoon's hands ran down your naked body. Massaging your breasts while his mouth wrapped around the other, sucking and nibbling on your nipple as you let out small moans of pleasure.
"L-Let me touch you," You complained as you reached out to touch Yoongi but he moved your hand away.
"It's about you tonight and only you," Confused by what he meant you went back to kissing him. Your lips moving in sync with one another as he held your face in his hands.
Suddenly you felt Jimin's lips on your core making you cry out at the sudden contact,
"Seems like someone has missed us almost as much as we've missed her." He chuckled as he began to slowly lick stripes up and down your folds, nibbling at your clit whenever he could.
"Jimin!" You whined out, back arching a little as he continued with the slow movements of his tongue which almost had you begging for more.
"Hmm so good," Jimin moans out as he begins to dip his tongue in and out of you. Taking his time as he slowly licks your pussy, tasting every bit of you he can get.
"So fucking good," He growled deeply, your whole body shaking as he continued to lap up your juices. Repeatedly flicking your clit with his tongue causing you to cry out his name, hands buried in his hair as you pushed him closer to your cunt.
"Jimin right there!" You cried out as he inserted two fingers into you, curling them up as he continued to suck on your clit.
Your whole body was on fire as you could feel yourself getting closer to the edge. The curl of his fingers making you moan out, every now and again he would let out growls causing your pussy to clench around his fingers.
"Don't take away all the fun," Yoongi pouted as he took your breast into his mouth, sucking harshly while Namjoon did the same to the other. Your head was spinning so fast you'd forgotten the other boys were in the room.
Watching as you were eaten out so carefully and lovingly.
"J-Jimin!" You warned as you could feel yourself beginning to get closer. The coil in your stomach was beginning to tighten with every bite, lick and thrust from him.
"I-I can't-" You couldn't even finish your sentence before your orgasm ripped through your body. Your eyes shutting tightly as you cried out his name. Hips bucking against his lips begging him not to stop until you rode out your high.
"My turn." Jungkook chuckled as he began to kiss up and down your body. Hands travelling down to your core as he began to rub your already sensitive clit. Each touch felt intensified from your previous orgasm.
"J-Jungkookie," You moaned out as he kissed you sweetly, two fingers rubbing small circles into your core.
"Shh, let us take care of you tonight, it's not about us." Jin's whisper filled your ear as he began to kiss and suck on your neck. Hoseok's hands made their way to your breasts as did Taehyung's. It was going to be a long and very good day.
By the time they were finished with you, you were panting and dripping in sweat...As well as other substances. You'd finally convinced them into letting you please them. Girls couldn't have all of the fun after all. Whining out as you held onto Jin you looked up at him,
"Someone needs to go and pick our little girl up, I don't think I'll be able to walk straight for a week." You laughed softly as Jin helped you into the bathroom. He'd already drawn you a hot bubble bath with a mug of hot chocolate waiting for you.
"I'll go and get her, we can stop by the library before we come home," Namjoon said as he watched you sink into the hot water, eyes rolling back as you finally relaxed.
"I'll come too," Jungkook said as he looked at Namjoon and then at you. Making sure you were okay before they headed out to go and pick up your little girl.
"J-Jin." Your hand reached out to touch him and he turned to look at you.
"Can you come in? I don't want to be alone." You told him, the others had all gone to wash up and you would have been alone.
"Sure." He whispered as he stripped down, getting into the bath behind you and holding you close.
"I really love you guys," You mumbled as you closed your eyes. Listening to nothing but his heart beating against his chest.
"We love you too," He whispered as he began to slowly wash your body off carefully.

DO NOT REBLOG // DO NOT REBLOG
Hardcore vent about shit with my husband.
Kitten Tax if you read all of this because you deserve something nice.
So I've come to the conclusion that I should have just stayed single because my husband is a creative energy vacuum.
I used to spend hours and hours in a studio painting and writing, and my friends understood that and would spend time with me there so we could still hang out. My husband just doesn't seem to get that concept. I will invite him to hang out with me, even offer up my second monitor so he can game or watch something while I write or paint, but he always says no. He'd rather play his video games on his desktop, which is totally fine, but when I try to sit in the same room with him, he gets grumpy.
On our walk to get coffee this morning before I got the train to work, he told me that he felt that my book was detrimental to our relationship because it was taking away from our time together. Which I didn't comment on because I was shocked and more than a little hurt. He then went on to say 'you had set a publishing date of February, and then May, and now...' with just this shrug of like agitation or something. And I did point out that while he was correct about the delay, I also have a whole ass full time job and life and stresses. HE was the person who kept reminding me when I tried to prioritize my editing schedule that this was just a hobby and to not stress about it. He has even compared my book (which is at 110k words) to editing Grapes of Wrath (which is 30k words) as a time scale? It is a weird comparison that makes no sense to me but he keeps referencing and I've just given up arguing with him.
He says things like this, and it just makes me want to give up. If the thing that is bringing me joy is 'ruining our relationship' so much maybe I just shouldn't do it. What's the point? I should just give up all my hobbies and goals for him because I have been doing that from the beginning- grad school, painting, and now writing.
But then again he has repeatedly told me I have to do this, I've said I was going to do it, so now I have to.
Like no matter what his intentions are, he has just consistently demoralised all creative projects I have tried to pick up again because it ruins his monopoly on my time. As if I don't also have to juggle doing all our fucking house chores because he just won't fucking do them. And also all our house renovation bits, because I am the only who fill walk down to fucking B&Q to buy paint or filler or whatever fucking else we need. He will happily sit and watch me fold laundry all fucking afternoon, then go off and play video games while I cook out dinner, and then complain when I want to write/edit after we've watched a movie together.
I just can't win with him and today I just wish I was single and living on my own because then my time would truly be my time. I don't know what I'm gonna do about my book or my life, but I want to disappear.

Before Nesta even opened her eyes, she knew that she’d gotten some of the best sleep she’d had in months. She knew it was early, since Nyx hadn’t even woken them up for his morning bottle yet. Sighing comfortably, she settled deeper into her pillows, the weight of a heavy arm slung over her waist, pulling her in close.
With sudden clarity, she remembered the events of the night before. She remembered the damn kiss that had started it all. She remembered the orgasms Cassian had given her over and over. She remembered seeing something shining in his eyes that had nothing to do with lust or sex.
She was sure it was reflected in her own, but couldn’t work up the nerve to let herself think about what they’d done last night, what it may have implied. What lines they may have crossed.
And the fact that she really didn’t give a damn.
Nesta couldn’t remember the last time she was this happy, and as much as she tried to pretend it wasn’t thanks to the man sleeping soundly behind her, in her bed, she couldn’t lie to herself.
So she gently rolled over, careful not to wake him, and took in his sleeping face.
It was kind of funny.
Nesta had known Cassian for a while, for five years, and before that in passing, considering Feyre and Rhysand’s relationship. She had watched him age, had watched him grow from a young man into the man that had taken her the night before, but looking at him now…
There was an innocence about him when he slept.
He snored, quietly, completely unaware that she was awake, that she was watching him.
He was cute.
So, so cute.
If he awoke at that very moment and saw her watching him sleep, she would have surely been mortified, but she couldn’t bring herself to care, she couldn’t look away.
Memories from the night before flashed through her mind, and it only made her that much happier. She couldn’t remember the last time she had fallen asleep in a man’s arms, but with Cassian, she had fallen asleep peacefully, nearly instantly, and slept amazingly.
There was something about Cassian that she couldn’t quite put her finger on, but she knew that she liked it.
She dared to gently brush a kiss over his cheek, before carefully climbing out of bed, his heavy arm making that a much harder endeavor than she was expecting. But he slept on soundly, not even stirring as she slipped from beneath the sheets and hurried into her closet. She wasn’t embarrassed by her nakedness, not after everything that had happened last night, but she knew that if he caught her naked, they were likely to take far longer getting downstairs to start their morning.
Not that she would have minded, but she was pretty sure neglecting Nyx was not a good enough reason for sex.
No, she’d enjoy him again later, as thoroughly as he’d enjoyed her last night, if he was willing. And she had no doubt that he would be.
Tying her robe around her waist, Nesta slipped from the closet into her room, glancing to make sure Cassian was still fast asleep. His snore confirmed he was.
Her chuckle was quiet as she entered the hall, sneaking down a few doors and opening Nyx’s. He was still asleep, as well, and with a smile, Nesta cracked his door and quietly padded down the stairs.
The kitchen was still a mess, his half-smashed cake on the counter and their clothes strewn around the room. Blushing, she picked them up one by one and tossed them into the laundry room, before making Nyx a bottle and starting on some scrambled eggs for his breakfast.
She could hardly focus. She was constantly thinking about the man upstairs, still sleeping soundly in her bed. Mixing a little cheese into the eggs, she stirred the eggs up in the pan before dumping them directly onto Nyx’s high chair tray.
Last time they’d slept together, Cassian had made her breakfast and then they’d both agreed it would never happen again. Regardless of the fact that it very much had happened again, Nesta didn’t like the sinking feeling she felt in her heart when she thought about having to agree to that once more.
Staring at the ingredients she’d pulled out of the fridge, Nesta sighed and braced her hands on the counter in front of her.
She wasn’t sure when it had happened, but she couldn’t ignore the fact that she had feelings for Cassian anymore. At some point, he’d gone from being a pain in her ass to the favorite part of her day. And that terrified her.
Letting him continue to sleep, she crept upstairs and gently woke Nyx up before he could start screaming, and carried him down to the kitchen, his sleepy head resting on her shoulder. He rubbed his eyes as she put him in his high chair, handing him the bottle, and she started working on their breakfast.
The entire time he ate, Nyx watched Nesta curiously, as if he knew something was up.
Maybe it was just her paranoia. Then again, he was Feyre and Rhysand’s kid and they were always snooping into Cassian and Nesta’s business.
Feyre and Rhysand.
Nesta bet they were pretty damn proud of themselves at the moment.
She heard him moving around upstairs and her heart began to beat a little bit faster. This was it, the moment of truth.
She cursed, all the while Nyx kept watching her as he stuffed his mouth with scrambled eggs.
Making herself busy at the stove, she quickly dropped some bacon into the hot skillet, sizzling filling the kitchen. Within seconds, a few pieces of bread were in the toaster, and she was rummaging through the refrigerator for the blackberry jam she knew he preferred.
Nyx’s babbling announced his arrival, and she turned to find Cassian standing behind his high chair, wearing nothing but a pair of sweatpants slung low on his hips. He picked up a small clump of eggs and popped it into his mouth, and Nyx angrily began talking at him, though the made up words were unintelligible.
“He doesn’t like to share,” she said, closing the fridge door with a hip.
Cassian grinned. “Desperate times call for desperate measures. I worked up an appetite last night.”
Nesta’s cheeks turned a soft shade of pink. “Is that so?”
Cassian nodded and walked toward her, slowly. Nesta remained still until he was standing just in front of her. “I have to confess that I was hoping you’d be there when I woke up this morning.”
Nesta stepped closer to him. “Breakfast and the baby called.”
Cassian scoffed and muttered, “Priorities.”
Nesta laughed quietly, but the sound was muffled by Cassian’s lips against hers.
It was almost instinct to lean into him, to smile against his lips. When she pulled back just a hair, his hazel eyes were bright. She whispered, “Good morning.”
“Morning,” he breathed, his mouth still so close to hers.
She blushed, even though she couldn’t figure out why and turned to the stove. “I…wasn’t sure what to expect this morning.”
Cassian hesitated. “What did you think I’d do?”
Nesta sighed, scratching her head. “I don’t know. I thought you might act like it never happened. Or, you’d say it was only a one time thing like last time.”
Cassian cocked his head to the side. “Last time I didn’t sleep in your bed.”
“And that changes things?” Nesta asked, quietly.
“Last night changed things,” Cassian replied, brushing her hair back out of her face. “At least, for me it did.”
“Me too,” Nesta replied, without any hesitation.
Cassian’s eyes softened. “Nesta, I-.”
“NANANANANANANANA!”
They both spun around, where Nyx was watching them with the most precious of pissed off expressions. His tray was empty, practically licked clean, and Nyx was not having it.
Cassian chuckled as he took a banana out of the fruit basket and peeled it before cutting it up into slices. “He’s awfully full of it this morning, isn’t he?”
“I think he knows,” she said, rolling her eyes as she flipped the bacon. “Not specifically what happened, but he knows something is…different between us.”
He paused his cutting and turned back to her, pausing with a hip resting on the counter. “Good different or bad different?”
“Good different,” she said, smiling. She cracked a few eggs into a bowl and mixed them up with some milk. “Definitely good different.”
For a moment, Cassian didn’t say anything, but when she turned he was grinning. “Really good different?”
Nesta rolled her eyes. “Shut up.” She turned back around. “But yes.”
“Good,” he breathed, coming up behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist. “What’ve you got going on today?”
“Work,” she said. “Seeing how the bar renovation is going. Looks like you’ll have to hire your replacement soon with how quickly everything is moving.”
Cassian groaned. “That’s the part I’m looking towards the least. I hate interviews. I hate being in them, I hate giving them, they’re awful.”
“But the sooner you give them, the sooner you leave that bar and come work at mine,” she crooned.
“Yours?” he repeated, offended.
Nesta snorted. “Ours.”
He and Kallias had both given their notice to the owner of the dive bar they worked in. He wasn’t thrilled, but he had always been a gruff bastard. He’d informed Cassian he wasn’t going anywhere until he’d hired not only his replacement, but Kal’s, as well.
“Speaking of,” he sighed, glancing at the clock. “I’ve got one scheduled for eleven-thirty. What time are you going to the restaurant?”
She poured the egg mixture into the skillet she’d cooked the crispy bacon in moments before and began laying the bacon on the toast she’d made. “Whenever,” she shrugged. “Helion is opening today. What time can Viviane be here?”
“Ten. I’m not working a shift today, so after the interview I can either come back here and give her the rest of the day off, or I can come to the restaurant.”
Nesta chewed slowly as she thought about it. “I wouldn’t mind if you came to the restaurant.”
“Then that’s what I’ll do,” Cassian said, placing the cut-up banana in front of a cranky Nyx. “And you, little man, better be good for Viv today. Because you’re grumpy.”
In response, Nyx spit out the piece of banana he had put in his mouth and smushed up the rest on his tray.
After scarfing down the breakfast that Nesta had made, and making a show of thanking her for it, Cassian was cleaning up the kitchen then hurrying upstairs to shower. Nesta was left cleaning up a fussy, banana-covered Nyx.
“I don’t even think you wanted to eat the banana, kiddo,” she muttered, cleaning off his tray, before wiping him down with an ungodly amount of baby wipes. “I think it was just to play in.”
He had plenty to say about that, just nothing Nesta could understand.
A few minutes later, freshly showered and dressed Cassian came downstairs, where Nyx was playing on the living room floor. She was up the stairs a minute later, hurrying to take her own shower. After an hour, she returned, purse and keys in hand. “I’m going to go ahead and head to the restaurant. I’ll see you in a little while?”
He nodded and as she made for the door, Cassian stood, catching her by the elbow and tugging her back to him. She stumbled a step, but he crushed her to his chest and pressed a kiss to her lips. When he pulled back, they were both grinning like fools. “I’ll see you in a little while,” he repeated.
“Okay.” She was backing towards the door, that smile looking like it was a permanent fixture on her face, before slipping out and leaving he and Nyx alone.
Who was watching him again, looking so much like Rhysand with that little eyebrow raised.
Cassian couldn’t help but snort and say, “This is your fault you know.”
A few hours later, right after Nyx had gone down for his mid- morning nap, Cassian heard a knock on the front door. Opening the door, Viviane rushed in. “I’m so sorry I’m late,” she said, shaking her head.
Cass glanced at the clock on the mantle. “It’s barely ten-fifteen,” he chuckled. “No big deal, you’re fine.”
She nodded. “Sorry, just— It’s been a crazy morning.”
“Everything okay?” Cassian asked. Viv was usually steady, so sure of everything she did or said.
“Yeah,” she replied, waving off his question. “I’m fine. Ran into my ex at the coffee shop and— Ugh, ignore me. Don’t worry about it. Is Nyx down for his nap?”
“Yeah, he’s been out for about fifteen minutes. He had a pretty big breakfast, so I doubt he’ll be too hungry when he wakes up.” Cassian gnawed on his lip for a second debating on whether he should ask what was on his mind. After considering how well throwing caution to this wind has worked for him last night, he decided why the hell not. “Does that mean you’re single? Since you bumped into your ex?”
Viviane froze and blinked. “Yes, but I don’t date my employers—”
“No, no,” he quickly said, holding his hands out in placation. “It’s not me. It’s a friend of mine and I think you two might hit it off.”
Viviane raised a brow. “A friend, huh?”
“Guy I’ve worked with for years,” Cassian went on. “Great guy, in fact. You’ll enjoy yourself, guaranteed.”
“Guaranteed?” Viviane chuckled. “Well, I can’t say no to that, can I?”
Cassian grinned. “No, you can’t, and neither can he. Tomorrow night, you free?”
“I suppose I am, if my boss is giving me the night off,” she laughed.
“He is, and it’ll be great, we’ll all go out,” Cassian said. “You and Kal, and me and Nesta.”
“Kal,” she said, the shortened name rolling off her tongue. “Yeah, alright. That sounds fun.”
“Perfect,” Cassian said, patting her on the shoulder as he swept past her. “I’ve got to get going, but we should be home around five or so. Call if you need anything.”
Viviane chuckled. “You say that every time, and have I ever called?”
“It’s a habit!” he called, as he hurried out the door.
When he got to the bar, Kallias had everything under control, which meant Cassian was taking a table in the far corner, waiting for his interviewee to arrive.
Sadly, this wasn’t the interview to replace his own job. That was proving to be far more tedious than he was expecting. But an hour later, after shaking the young man’s hand, Cassian let out a sigh of relief as he left.
“And how’d that go?” Kallias asked, wiping down a few glasses that were drying atop the bar.
“Well, your position is officially filled,” he replied, sitting across from him at the bar. “So congratulations.”
“Cheers,” he chuckled, raising the empty glass towards Cassian. “When are we celebrating?”
“Tomorrow night, actually,” Cassian said, crossing his arms over his chest.
Kal snorted. “Seriously? I was kidding.”
“I’m not,” Cassian replied, shrugging. “We’re going out tomorrow night. You, me, Nesta, and Viviane.”
Kallias blinked. “The hot nanny?”
Cassian grinned. “Yeah.”
Kallias looked at Cassian suspiciously. “I thought you were kidding when you said you were setting us up.”
“Oh, I never kid about love,” Cassian said, winking.
Kallias raised a brow. “Love? Who the hell are you?”
Cassian filled his glass and took a gulp of beer. “Just meet us at Rita’s at eight tomorrow.”
Kallilas continued to stare at him for a long while. “You slept with her again, didn’t you?”
Cassian’s grin widened. “Tomorrow. Rita’s. Eight.”
And with that, he chugged his beer and left.
*
The next night, Cassian and Nesta dropped Nyx off at Elain’s before making their way to Rita’s.
“Our first date,” Cassian crooned, reaching his hand across the car to Nesta’s.
She took it fondly. “Our first date? After all we’ve been through, do we even qualify for a first date?”
“Why?” Cassian scoffed. “Just because we’ve been sleeping together and living with each other and raising a kid together?” He snorted. “Of course, we deserve a first date.”
Nesta rolled her eyes but did not protest.
Cassian had slept in her bed last night after another night of lovemaking. Even though it didn’t seem possible, it got better with each time. The more they got to know each other’s bodies, the more familiar with one another they became, the more they became one in intimacy, the more amazing it was.
“You look amazing tonight,” Cassian said, quietly. “In case I haven’t told you that yet tonight.”
He had.
Multiple times.
But, Nesta couldn’t blame him. She did look amazing in her navy blue dress and her blush heels. She looked over at Cassian, in his jeans and button down shirt.
Coincidentally, it wasn’t much different than what he had worn on their actual first date five years before. She chuckled, and he looked over at her, brow raised.
“This is actually our second date,” she said.
Cassian shook his head, amused, before looking back out the window as he turned into the parking lot. “Well, hopefully this date goes better than that one did.”
Nesta agreed.
As soon as Cassian opened Nesta’s door, they spotted Viviane pulling into the parking lot. They knew she was a pretty girl, but she usually showed up to work with a ponytail, jeans, and a t-shirt. Now, she had really dressed to impress.
Cassian whistled as she got out of her car and Vivane blushed as Nesta’ jabbed him in the ribs.
“You look beautiful,” Nesta told Vivane.
“Thanks,” she said, and Nesta could tell the nanny was a little nervous, a little uncomfortable.
“I see Kal’s truck,” Cassian said, gesturing for the women to follow. “I guess he’s already inside.”
Indeed he was and he’d already gotten a table for the four of them and was working on a pitcher of a beer.
“Hey, man,” Cassian greeted him as Kallias stood and shook his hand. “This is Nesta,” he said, placing a hand on her back.
“It’s nice to finally meet you,” she said, reaching for his hand as well. They shook hands and Kallias smiled.
“You, too,” he replied. “I guess I should call you boss now, huh?”
“No, no, no,” she laughed, shaking her head. “Please don’t.”
“And this,” Cassian interrupted, rolling his eyes at the two of them, “is Viviane.”
As if he somehow hadn’t noticed the blond beauty behind Cassian until this moment, Kallias looked up at her and blinked. He was about to make some sort of hot nanny joke when Kallias breathed, “Viv?”
She was looking at him with the same dumbfounded look Kallias had on his face. “Kallias… Hey.”
Cassian and Nesta looked between the two, then at each other, and after a moment, Nesta asked, “You two know each other?”
Kallias still looked like he was trying to figure out what planet he was on, so Viviane answered, “We were…childhood friends. But my family moved to Velaris when I started middle school.” She shook her head, but she had been looking at Kallias the whole time. “I had no idea you were in Velaris.”
He finally remembered to speak, though Cassian was beginning to wonder if he’d need to answer for him. “I came out here for college. Loved the city and decided to stay.”
“College?” Viviane repeated. “You’re telling me that you’ve been here since your freshman year, and you’ve never called?”
Kallias chuckled. “I didn’t even know you still lived here!”
“Hmm,” Viviane said, taking a seat across from him. “Well, what a small world, hmm?”
“Yeah,” Kallias repeated, “small world.”
Cassian took a seat by Kallias and Nesta sat across from them as they went a little bit more in depth into their long lost friendship. Apparently they had grown up in the same neighborhood and had always gone to the same elementary school. Kallias was a year older than Viviane, but when he went into the seventh grade and Viviane was going into sixth, her family moved to Velaris for her father’s work.
They had never talked again after that. Their friendship was nothing more than a simple, joyful memory.
Seeing them now, Nesta thought, she just knew the two of them had gotten into trouble when they were little. Between their jokes and sly looks at one another, and the obvious chemistry, they had surely been up to no good and gave both sets of parents a run for their money.
“I’m going to the bar,” Cassian announced, looking at Nesta. “Care to join?”
Nesta had a feeling that it was less about going to the bar and more about giving the newfound couple beside them a few minutes alone. She nodded, and took his hand as they walked toward the bar on the other side of the room.
“They’re cute together,” Nesta said, sitting on a barstool.
Cassian sat on the one next to her. “Oh, I know. You know, I’ve gotta say, I feel pretty damn accomplished right now. I definitely made this happen.”
Nesta couldn’t help but roll her eyes at him, even as she leaned into his embrace. She wanted nothing more than to poke fun at him, to mess with him about his unexpected matchmaking skills, but as she looked at the two happy people laughing at the table across the bar, she couldn’t help but wonder if that’s the gift that Rhysand and Feyre had tried to give them all those years ago.
Even now, Nesta’s chest tightened as she smiled, so thankful for her meddling, baby sister.

I'm only on season 11 and i haven't rewatched the rest of the series but like I'm kind of a fan of how Master Wu is portrayed, as a deeply flawed person beyond Wise Old Cryptic Teacher
Flawed in the way of "Guardian tries to parent but does so crappily, and made Big Mistakes On Purpose as a child and tries to be like "WELL"
Like the catalyst was the fact Wu didn't like how they had gotten lazy and were just playing video games right? But I can think of a number of ways he could have gone about it that would have been better
such as
Encouraging them to train/keep training you know. get that exercise, keep you on the edge, etc. How they even got to that point is beyond me.
Giving them household chores to do. Being alive comes with eating and wearing clothing, which means cooking. and cleaning. doing the laundry. Who else is doing those things? Just make them pick up after themselves. And Pixal was constructing the secret base and the mechs during that time, she was keeping busy, why not give the Ninja some renovation tasks, make them Help Pixal.
But Nooo, let's put them in a constant state of stress and yeet them over the temple wall because that's probably what his dad did to him so that's the Right Way
It's like the epitome of someone complaining about nailing jello to a tree, when all you have to do is nail the jello in the cup and you're good. Just give them a bit of support and they'll be able to flourish. He truly is Traumatized Boomer Parent not knowing how to parent, simultaneously being too absent and too present in the wrong ways. this is probably why he never had children of his own.
But he also admits to his flaws and his shortcomings as a teacher, and I will accept that. . . for the time being.
#yes i'm calling master wu traumatized boomer parent#he's obviously not my favorite character but i will. appreciate him. for the time being#master wu#ninjago

there were a lot of problems with the last place i lived but also holy shit i miss it sometimes. yes, the landlord had untreated adhd and enough money to turn his restlessness into a home renovation hobby, so he was constantly doing construction above my head until like 10pm at night and yet never finished anything. yes, i lived there for two years and by the time i left he STILL hadn't installed a sink in the downstairs kitchen, so i had to get all my water for cooking from the bathroom faucet, which made me physically ill to the point where i lost an enormous amount of weight from a mystery infection. yes, he for some reason installed a utility sink in the laundry room on the other side of the downstairs from the kitchen and thought that fixed it. yes, he eventually stole my adhd medication as if i wouldn't notice nearly two weeks of amphetamines being gone at once. yes he got into constant yelling fights with his equally-six-feet-tall son chad (chad's a bro and super chill, i had no problems with chad) again right above my head, so that i woke up paralyzed with fear from Man With Power Is Angry usually a couple times a week
buuuuuuut also i was five minutes by bike from the ocean. if i stood on the upper deck i could see the sun set in another country, across the strait. he never fenced the backyard, so deer wandered through constantly, and he let me stick a bird feeder next to my window, which i'm pretty sure is the sole reason i didn't get so horribly depressed during the early lockdown that i rotted in bed. and he did not appreciate how goddamn big that house was. you could have fit two separate tumblr polycules in that amount of space. i lived in what i'm pretty sure used to be a mudroom, so i had a private exit to the outside, and the window was ENORMOUS and the floors were all parquet wood so i could use actual wood cleaner and make the downstairs smell like almonds all day. **** give me your house motherfucker. let me move my girlfriends in
