Diego & Lady Teresa are trying to figure out who the hell has a camera that could’ve taken a picture of Christina before whatever happened to her. Whoever that is miiiiight be responsible for the blackmail Diego has been receiving.

Oooooh I think the desk clerk overheard that shit about the camera (he’s also probably sus because Isabela asked about a camera before when she started getting suspicious of the situation).

There’s mold on the uniform (which means the red might be from that and not necessarily blood??) hmmmm

Julio lost the fight :/ and Isabela seems to think Cristina did something/hurt someone and that’s why she disappeared (based on the bribe letter).

Diego has shown up and is NOT happy to see Isabel and Julio alone together, good thing Andrés is there to break the tension almost like “hey she’s not alone with him, see?! Please don’t hurt her 😀😅” I love him so much Your Honor.

Bros don’t let bros let blood stay caked on their body! Especially when that blood is evidence of the life savings you just lost before your friend tried to take on a guy twice his size! [insert B99 gay vibe meme here]

Diego confronts Isabel about being in his office, Isabel accusing him of being paranoid and justifies her actions enough to keep him from attacking her further.

Aww, the dogs are all being kept in Andrés and Julio’s room and Andrés won’t talk to Julio because he lost his savings when Julio lost the fight, noooooooo pobresitos!

Diego claims that something extremely scandalous involving her brother (I think?) he’s telling her something to assuage her suspicions about his role in Cristina’s disappearance and that he’s only trying to keep her family safe from disgrace, just looking out for her. She seems to have bought it.

More Belén and Andrés loudly masquerading(?) as a happily engaged couple and Andrés mom is NOT happy about any of it. Oooooof.

Detective Ayala is back for an autopsy on Ximira. Apparently all this “examining the body” shit is new in this old fashion town and Ayala be explaining shit to his sidekick lol.

Alfredo and Sofia are getting screentime again! It seems I was mistaken about Sofia having a miscarriage from falling down the stairs and Alfredo’s mother is coming to the hotel. Unless I was right and nobody has told Alfredo yet? He’s very excited regardless (probably because he feels bad about trying to leave in the first place I hope).

Diego is UPSET somebody (somebody meaning Felipe, not that he knows that) took the bribe money YIKES! He in trouble now!

Ayala has discovered a knife tip in a gash in Ximena’s body. Which means she was stabbed before falling into that pit in the woods. I think they either have or will piece together that the rest of the knife belongs to the kitchen wear at the hotel.

Diego just received an ominous phone call with a disguised voice from INSIDE the hotel and the receiver is off the hook and still swinging. Pasquale (the desk clerk) seems to be more in cahoots with Diego than I realized, or is at least an informant of some kind.

Julio is trying to apologize (and maybe make up for?) the fact he lost all of Andrés’s money and ends up shoving him in the laundry room. Belén just so happens to be ironing clothes inside.

AAAAAAND Andrés just proposed and tried to initiate a kiss (very overexcitedly/badly) Belén is very reluctant. But when she initiates the kiss it’s totally fine. It also could be a sign that Andrés thinks he’s in love with her but she’s not in love with him and is essentially using him as protection (can’t really blame her but oof).

Getting the distinct impression Andrés knows absolute zilch about actual relationships/romance and is reasoning because they’re getting married they must be in love, right? Especially since Belén kissed him first. Even tho they’re getting married because he lied and she doesn’t wanna get fired. Oh honey… no.

Pretty sure Diego just embezzled a bunch of hotel funds to make up for the bribe money Felipe stole from him to pay of the bowler hat middleman of whoever is blackmailing him.

Sofia has gone to her mother for help with the whole Alfredo in-laws situation but Felipe has come in with a different emergency the cops are there about Ximena! The investigation has begun!

I KNEW IT! I knew Belén was still under Diego’s thumb (literally, he’s very violent with her the poor thing). He interrogated her about everything that’s been going on. I think he might be wrongly assuming she had something to do with the missing bribe money. She clearly doesn’t have anything worth giving and reminds him she’s pregnant, he’s not happy about letting her go.

I was right about the matching/missing knife piece thing. The head butler/waiter has pointed out two of the wait staff that would’ve had access to the knife drawer, Julio and… Andrés. I am VERY worried one of them will be wrongly accused of murdering Ximena.

Julio and Isabel are flirting through the door of her bedroom. He’s thanking her for helping him the night of the boxing match and I’m pretty sure she parroted some of what Diego told her to assuage his concerns (maybe told him she’s probably not dead? Again, a bit spotty on the Spanish).

Uh oh, Ayala just addressed Andrés in front of the entire wait staff. I have a really REALLY bad feeling about this… oh, phew, he’s just being interrogated 😮‍💨

More parroting of Diego’s words now that Diego has convinced Isabel he’s less involved in the Cristina thing than he really is. Time to interrupt this romantic interlude with Andrés always ducking as he enters a room like somebody is gonna throw something at him like he do. How are you so this politely awkward?! Blessed.

Ayala is frustrated that he couldn’t get anything from either of our boys and is beginning to suspect someone higher up (I think?) has a hand in what happened to the girl.

Meanwhile! Andrés is bringing Belén flowers because I love him he’s her fiancé. Almost walks in on Ayala interrogating Belén and his mother, overhears they’ll likely be searching the rooms.

Julio’s sister’s uniform! He books it to their quarts to grab it so it won’t be found by the authorities! He shoves it in a closet right as Ayala and his mother round the corner which would look Extremely Suspicious… I have a baaaaad feeling about this.

Ayala found the uniform where Andrés stashed it almost immediately. Andés, Andrés Salinas, Andrésito please do not get accused of murder for trying to protect Julio even though you’re upset with him my heart can’t take it.

Meanwhile, Isabel is snooping on bowler hat guy and Julio got tipped of by the dog loving pianist about something and !!! Somebody just knocked bowler hat guy out with a shovel and took the ominous bag he was carrying AAAAAAAAAA Isabel don’t chase him by yourself!!!! Oh no she got hurt and it’s a cliffhanger I know I can watch the next one right now but also FUCK U!

Imagine minding your own damn business when some scrappy twunk asks you where your ex-coworker is. Tackles you in your own room when you can’t give him an answer. Then proceeds to pretend to be your new roommate/coworker so hard it actually becomes true. But he keeps disappearing and breaking rules and you’re worried it’ll get you in trouble with your mom or boss (spoilers it does with both).

Despite that you feel bad for him cuz his sister is probably dead. But THEN he loses all your wedding money because he tried to fight a dude twice his size on your behalf at a barroom boxing match. El Hotel De Los Secretos Ep. 6 Reaction

Julio had to choose between helping Isabel and chasing the ✨mysterious figure✨. Telling him everything she saw after she comes to.

Ayala is doing science on a jacket (that they found at the scene of the crime? Or using just for science). Mentioning a lot about about water, wondering if they’re using the jacket as a comparison point for Cristina’s uniform to see if the mold develops the same way or something?

Isabel and Julio are trying to piece together the evidence they saw in the woods with the rest of the evidence. Julio is still extremely suspicious of Diego but (because of the lies/truth bending from last episode) Isabel is convinced he’s not a criminal. Julio “I thought you were intelligent” so that’s going… not great.

More clothing chemistry with Ayala (this time with fire). Turns out the bar owner of the scabby cantina knows something about what happened the night Cimena was killed.

Julio and Isabel are fighting, Isabel thinks it’s crazy for Julio to believe Diego capable of murder, Julio thinks she’s naive. Isabela says she’s known Diego for years and they haven’t known each other for very long.

Something about that (or something else around that statement) hurts Julio’s feelings, Isabel apologizes. He addresses her really formally and promises not to keep bothering her with his problems and storms off.

Sofia is still freaking out about Alfredo’s parents coming to visit. Teresa is trying to get her to pull it together and to keep lying about the baby. It is not going well considering Sofia collapses in a puddle of misery and tears.

Diego is PISSED that bowler hat guy let the bribe money get stolen by the ✨mysterious figure✨ threatens him and tells him to get that money back by any means necessary.

More bullying and convincing and such happens between Sofia and Teresa. I’m beginning to wonder if they have a shared secret that makes it very important for her to marry Alfredo and/or lie to Alfredo’s parents about the baby. It’s like Teresa is trying to protect herself and Sofia from the consequences of something they did.

OHHHHHH! The jacket was Felipe’s, and I bet whatever barkeep dude said incriminated the hell out of the guy. Ayala just made some thinly veiled accusations at tea time!

Julio is asking Pasquale about the button/ring thingy he found in the water. Things just got reallllll tense and Pasquale is getting cagey. Julio comes up with an innocuous excuse for why he has the button at all. Julio seems to be picking up on the sus vibes and leaves.

Even better I might have been right about the mold thing after all! Ayala just asked Felipe & Lady Teresa about Cristina o shit o shittttt. He also brought up Teresa’s husband (right before Cristina disappeared). Ayala suspects Felipe of Stuff but I have a feeling he’s a red herring and maybe Teresa and/or Sofia had something to do with those 2-3 deaths/disappearances (Ximena, Cristina and Lord Alacrón).

Julio has been asked about Felipe’s character and about him and Ximena. Julio presents the alibi of Felipe having been at the cantina for the wrestling match he lost last episode.

Isabel is once more sus of Diego, Diego has now resorted to redirect her suspicions even further toward her brother Felipe, using the recent investigation as a way to possibly get her to believe he’s responsible for both Cristina and Ximena’s ends. Bonus potency for Ayala asking Julio if he knew whether Felipe ever interacted with Cristina and had to pretend he doesn’t know her.

Andrés rushes to tell Julio that Isabel is alone with Diego in the garden (fuzzy on the details of why they’re worried other than Diego’s usual shady behavior), Julio goes after her. A maid finds the broken knife in that killed Ximena under Felipe’s bed.

More clues and buttons upon returning to where Isabel saw the ✨mysterious figure✨ but hides said evidence (ANOTHER button?) from Diego. It seems Julio has re-shaken her trust in him.

Natalia (the maid) has taken the knife to Ángela. Who tells her not to say anything before she talks to Teresa or she’ll be fired (yet again to protect the reputation of the hotel). Ángela takes the knife to Teresa and shows it to her.

Andrés tries to console Natalia over the whole knife thing, Julio overhears and enters. Andrés IMMEDIATELY tells Julio about the whole knife thing (which, hilariously, aggravates Natalia) but he’s like “it’s okay Julio is chill we can trust him I promise” because gay because I love him because he’s a good friend and Andrés is noticeably terrible at discretion.

Julio swears what Natalia has told them won’t leave the room, Andrés is a little resistant. Julio explains that whatever is going on it has to do with Cristina somehow (thanks to Ayala’s questioning) and that whatever’s going on goes high up (and possibly endangers Isabel) and confronting Ángela would be a bad idea.

Felipe angrily and tearfully denies he killed Ximena to his mother and claims that he’s been set up and begs her to believe him.

Isabel and Julio make up when she finds him in the woods. She shows him the button and he freaks out. Telling her it belonged to his father and he’d given it to Cristina. Julio angrily asks if Isabela still thinks Diego isn’t involved.

Isabel tells Julio it wasn’t Diego who was involved but her brother Felipe. Julio tells Isabel about the knife Natalia found. Things are getting reaaaaaal spicy!

Lady Teresa and Felipe concoct a plan to plant the knife in a servant’s quarters to take the heat off of him. I have a horrible feeling about who the easiest target would be 👀😬😫

NO I HATE BEING RIGHT DONT PUT IT UNDER ANDRÉS BED FELIPE YOU DICK!!!! LEAVE MY BABY ALONE!

Julio is chatting up Belén (work huh? Morning sickness? You and Andrés?) slowly edging the conversation implicitly to Cristina, then shows her the pin/button and she clearly knows something aaaaaaaaaaa Isabel is confronting her brother about the knife AAAAAAAAAAA

Belén tried to take it like it’s a wedding present but Julio stops her. She admits to knowing it belonged to Cristina and to ask Pasquale if he wants to know more, okayyyyyy.

Felipe is surprised and upset at Isabel’s accusations a flips out, telling her that he didn’t have anything to do with Cristina and had nothing to do with the broken knife either, he gets away from her as fast as he can.

Ayala had found the knife EXACTLY where Felipe planted it and I am DISTRAUGHT! Do NOT take my baby away what the fuck what the fuck NOOOOOO. He didn’t kill Cristina or Ximena stop it stop NOOOOO. You dumb fuck why didn’t your friend find the knife before you stupid stubborn man! AAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I want to KILL stupid Felipe for this. Natalia is trying not to cry again, Ángela is yelling at Ayala to let go of her son. Julio is like “Andrés is a perfect cinnamon roll angel baby there’s no way he did what you accuse him of!” the only person close to him that isn’t saying shit is… Belén. Huh.

Well, now I HAVE to watch the next one or I’ll die from anticipation! Damn youuuuuuuuu!

We now return to Julio spewing some absolutely vile but true shit about the Alarcón family at the only living member who isn’t acting freaking awful toward him. Luckily he has Andrés holding him back. Honestly neither of those boys should be going anywhere without the other, inevitably they do stupid shit or have bad things happen to them when separated, case and point? This!

Losing my mind that no matter how prickly and destructive Julio gets Andrés refuses to choose anything other than kindness, than to heal him, than to persist. “Let’s patch the wounds on your body because the wounds on your soul…” I’m gonna lose it!! Julio is throwing an absolute tantrum and all that’s doing is letting Andrés see how badly Julio needs help I can’t DO this 😭😭😭

That being said at least Andrés has the good sense to step away. Seriously tho “I bet you’re glad [Isabel and I] are more than 40 centimeters apart now!” As he pulls himself apart from Andrés is such an UGH. Oh boy, Mercedes and Felipe are finally getting in trouble with their parents about their little escapades. Now it seems that Elisa (Alfredo’s mother) is missing?? Belén is already using her new position to get a room to herself back, I assume she was sharing with Victoria up until just now after Elisa got here.

Okay not to be Like That but I KNEW IT! I knew Andrés’s whole thing had very to actually do with Belén and mostly to do with really, REALLY wanting to be a dad and not letting that baby (or Belén) to go through the same trauma he and his mother did. Well, Julio is unsurprisingly getting his ass beat for having no chill when confronting Genaro about his dealings with Cristina. Oooh shit they beat him unconscious, good thing Dagoberto and Atala were already there.

The journey of finding Serapio Ayala even more endearing continues. Dagoberto woke Julio’s ass up with cold water and Ayala’s like “what the hell man you could’ve been way nicer about that!” I really do like him fr fr.

Ok Ayala is starting to have more and more grandpa energy by being surprisingly kind and patient w/ Julio. He DID notice Julio’s got a little crescent moon tattoo on his bicep that gave him pause!! I wonder what the significance of that is! (Other than being excellent fuel for my Vampire/Werewolf fanfic idea).

OK, Benjamin (the head butler) having a son he wishes he could visit much more often absolutely tracks with how fondly he treats Andrés. Of course Teresa is rude about it 🙄. Mercedes continuing to be ridiculously awesome and endearing and leaving Felipe in the dust like “bitch I’m a military brat you think I don’t know how to ride a horse?! Watch me!” I love her!!

GOD you know what I do actually feel bad for Alfredo, he’s not totally innocent but it’s not like he intentionally knocked Sofía down the stairs. His biggest crime so far has been ignorance. All he wants to do is well by his wife and future child, the remorse is very real. But Sofía is fully under her mother’s thumb and almost just as scared of Alfredo’s mother as she is of her own.

Literally all Ángela did was ask Natalia if Belén had dated anyone else and Belén is all “I’m feeling SO bullied rn” and tries to sick Teresa on her??? Like, girl, really?! Teresa only wants your baby, she doesn’t care about your ass!

Matilde is here! She really went “surprise bitch, let’s go to the pool Isabel bby! 😎” meanwhile Jacinto out here swallowing his tongue because he ain’t got the guts to tell Isabel what Diego has ordered him to do.

Sooooo 😤 Teresa is making Belén Ángela’s new assistant in order to keep her from going after her and DAMN that “we punish others for the mistakes we can’t forgive ourselves for.” Line is so RAW. Teresa is such an intriguing character, she’s awful but she acts unusually human around Ángela, it’s fascinating. And as much as Ángela is on the money about Belén being Extremely Awful, Teresa is also RIGHT, ugggggh 😍

Aw! Hell yeah, Jacinto sticking his neck out and going to search for Julio personally since Isabel and Matilde can’t take the car. Guess it’s time for poor Isabel to get dragged into Sofia and Alfredo’s marital disputes, maybe she can talk a little sense (maybe even strength) into Sofia… or not 😬 but you know what? Okayyyy, new character just got introduced that makes my blood run cold about things that I know happen later. We’ve got our new doctor and I’m making some new, disquieting connections in my head. Never trust anyone directly on Teresa’s payroll, not ever 🤐 Dr. Lazaro has quite an iconic voice tho, I feel like I’ve heard him somewhere else. Okay so Doc Lazaro recognizes Diego’s last name and Diego’s hackles went up. So many shady motherfuckers up in here! 👀

Okay so we’re getting some implications that Jacinto miiiiiiiiiiiight be Violeta’s baby daddy?? I don’t think so though considering he didn’t behave as though he recogiese her in the market a few episodes ago. Regardless, his weird possessiveness of her when he doesn’t know her is starting to verge from tragic to creepy and I hope some stuff happens to make it Not That. Julio has returned to do thing the more reasonable way. Genaro’s information on his sister… for more fighting *SIGH*

And according to Genaro, Cristina stole raw materials from the hotel to sell to him and that she did indeed get fired for stealing but even if that is true I have the sneaking suspicion that isn’t the whole story or Genaro has good reason to fuck with him.

Oh WOW we are already implying Matilde has a thing for old men I had HEARD she and Serapio are a thing but that side comment about Doc Lazaro being handsome is amazing foreshadowing if true.

Isabel is so relieved Julio is back and Andrés is doing the whole “I’m gonna be mad about something else but really I’m angry with you for scaring me” thing. Aaaand yet again we have resident porcupine Julio taking out his fear for his sister onto Isabel, the only totally innocent Alarcón in this entire god dang family because, and I can’t emphasize this enough, he’s an idiot (affectionate and derogatory).
