Harry sighed, dropping his briefcase on the floor and dragging his feet to the kitchen table. He collapsed into the chair, bracing his head on his hands and resisting the urge to fall asleep right there. With the sudden influx of deals and the leftover drama with their rival company, he’d never been this stressed and exhausted.

A soft mewl disrupted his misery, the soft padding of little feet following. Harry raised his head slightly, an inadvertent smile curving his lips as his eyes fluttered open to see Louis at his feet, purring and staring up at him with wide blue eyes.

His soft brown and white fur looked matted and damp as if he had been rolling around in the grass outside. Harry glanced out the window and took in the bright blue sky and bright rays of the sun- the idea seemed likely. He slid off the chair and onto his knees, arms outstretching automatically as Louis leaped into his arms.

Harry cooed, petting Louis’ head gently and smiling when Louis licked his palm quietly. “C'mon, kitten,” he breathed, feeling the weariness return, “Let me see you.”

Louis purred again before hopping out of Harry’s grip. In a blink of an eye, Harry’s boyfriend returned to him, completely naked and beautiful and shivering just a bit. He was pretty much perpetually cold and Harry was all too happy to fix that.

He slipped off his jacket, wrapping it around a grateful Louis before taking him into his arms again. Louis’ skin was cold against his, cheek brushing his own as he nuzzled his face in Harry’s neck. Harry placed a firm hand on the nape of his neck, stroking the sensitive spot lightly. His fingers danced higher, scratching behind Louis’ chestnut cat ears.

Tail swishing around them lazily, Louis bumped his nose into Harry’s jaw. “Good day?” he asked quietly.

“Now it is,” Harry murmured, curling his other arm around Louis’ waist and rubbing soothing circles onto his bare back. “We should get up and get you dressed.”

They were still on the floor and Louis’ bare knees on the hardwood must have been uncomfortable, but neither of them moved for another ten minutes.
