Honestly whole bbg is so confusing for us newer larries because there are you, oldschool larries, who witnessed it all and sayng Louis is not a father and B was never pregnant and Br*tt is the real father and then there are so-called larries who came to conclusion F looks way too similar to Louis so he must be his true father so he must’ve a fling with B or at least gave his sperm to IVF to closet himself.

But anyway I agree that if Louis really wants to get rid of larries and closet himself for good, there’s no easier way than positive dna test (real or fake, doesn’t matter) and call it a day. It’s the same with H and the whole guessing about his sexuality (bi/pan or gay) because him really being bi/pan wouldn’t hurt his career at all and so he could come out at bi/pan by now and we all have our answer.

Yes, it would be entirely possible (and maybe even preferable) to shut the closet door firm while being in a relationship with H. There are many queer couples entering into lavender marriages or having kids with women to closet themselves and avoid speculation and attention on their sexuality. Bradl*y Co*per and Hu*h Jackm*n is doing this right now, while being in relationships with men.

I don't think L thought bg would last this long when it first started, and he was resisting it in all the ways he could. He refuses to closet himself further, that's why he isn't giving in and putting that last nail in the coffin. I think he's holding out hope he'll get out of it soon. But the consequence of keeping the door a bit open is loads of gaslighting, loads of hate towards us larries, and stringing along fans who live in hope it will end soon. It's been almost 10 years of this though. It isn't fair to us, but it isn't fair to Louis either.

It's just an all around shitty situation. That's why i can't blame anyone for leaving fandom. We don’t deserve this. Louis doesn’t either, but he also can't expect us to stay around while being exposed to this environment and being treated like we are. Louis' choices are resist the closet, harm his fans vs. closet himself and let us larries go. He chose the former, so then us larries have to make our own choices based on that choice. It could be 10 more years of this, we don’t know. So we either find ways to deal with it, or we have to protect ourselves by leaving.

I’m not so sure about the private angle. That family has been trying for fame for decades. T’s mother and father are two bit actors with the mother’s claim to fame being sleeping with Frank Sinatra. T having a 5 seconds appearance on Baywatch and showing off that she was working as a playboy bunny. Br*tts mom working for a major studio, B trying to form a band with his brother and trying to be a model. The brother still trying with his mullet and cover band. A singing in her stories, and now one of the cousins is trying for a music career. These people were never going to be quiet. It may have started a pr for the last 1D album but someone twisted it into something else.

yeah true true, and b was on the cover of the sun with a famous boybander, and later in a bunch of baby carrier pap walks. they didn't need to blast the kid's "face" on (social) media for that, bc it was already achieved. b in the press. the other family members are just as fame hungry, yes, and their cute attempts are always via-via bc they don't actually have anything going for them. only connections (that are fabricated). the family also isn't really famous now, either, except to ppl who know about f and his family. if i go ask a random friend of mine right now if they know any of their names they'd say no. b's press coverage is only when babygate plans need her name to be out there.

i get what you're saying about how they wouldn't have kept f under wraps and would have still kept posting him as a claim to fame - but b actually doesn't post f that often, despite how it would actually fit the clout-chasing family, or how it could def catapult her to fame in the current climate, if she were to amp up the family content. so, the impression i get is that b really just wanted that solo Hot Person fame, just like her insta demonstrates now, and isn't that invested in making the rest of the stunt believable or even smart enough to get more out of it for her (or yk maybe there are limits to what she can do with it and with louis's name but then i'm talking about shit i know nothing about so i'll leave it at that)

this stunt, one of this magnitude - changing the narrative of louis's life in a profound way - was never just album promo. it was to secure louis's closet as firmly as possible, bc it was likely they were gearing up to help h come out as queer and give him more freedom. but to then make sure ppl didn't jump to larry after showing h as queer, they made louis as het as possible. which explains why bg had to work, and why they went so hard with it. it's a theory, and a believable one, which this twitter thread elaborates on in more detail if you're interested!
