Come to me from Krete to this holy temple, here to your sweet apple grove, altars smoking with frankincense.
Cold water ripples through apple branches, the whole place shadowed in roses, from the murmuring leaves deep sleep descends.
Where horses graze, the meadow blooms spring flowers, the winds breathe softly…
*
Here, Aphrodite, after gathering… pour into golden cups nectar lavishly mingled with joys.

sorry to be no fun but this sappho fragment is not an accidental poem or from an "original parchment" written on by sappho. this is preserved for us in dio chrysostom 37.47* (his corinthian discourse, where he compares sappho to hesiod at the very end), and we don't have any shred of any material sappho would have personally used. sappho's works survive primarily on fragments of papyrus, a few scraps of other material (including parchment and pottery, but these don't include the fragment above, and the parchment is all from centuries after she died**), or through quotation, like fragment 147.
the wine barrel thing is a rumour associated with catullus, some of whose work was allegedly used as a wine stopper in the medieval period, and survived that way.
* i can only find this online through the loeb classical library, which you can only get into via institutional access, but here is the link to the relevant section of the greek lyric loeb containing sappho's fragments which cites dio chrysostom too
** diane rayor & andre lardinois, sappho: a new translation of the complete works (2014) [in the intro on page 8].
Do you like poems?
yes! my favorites are The Tiger and the unnamed werewolf fridge poem

“Every woman’s uterus needs attention, love & gratitude. When we are One with the womb, we are One with the Goddess.” — Dr Rosita Arvigo “Yoni - At the Sacred Entrance” art by Laurie Lardinois, LaurieHealingART
The Yoni mudra can be described as a gesture that allows a person to get detached from the chaos of the outer existing world. Yoni means uterus or womb and this gesture is named the Yoni Mudra, because the person who practices it regularly has no external contact with the world, pretty much like a baby in the uterus.
