Lanvin Shirts, A Legacy of Timeless Elegance and Innovation
With respect to the peak of French plan, Lanvin stays as a paragon of intricacy, classiness, and interminable style. Laid out in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin, the house has developed a legacy that consolidates commendable arrangement with current examples, making pieces that are both lavish and wearable. Among its many celebrated things, the Lanvin shirt remains a staple for the people who esteem high…

Eason, 18
“I am wearing a vintage Lanvin blazer, vintage pants, Maison Margiela shirt, and vintage Prada shoes. I found the necklace in a vintage store near my school, I thought it has a kind of Walter Van Beirendonck’s style. I love unisex clothes, I love how clothes make a man beautiful. This is my everyday wear. The clothes that have strong attitude and personality attract me the most.”

Wallowing in luxury: This can become a problem
The Royal Palace has often been called a public gathering point, but trooping up dressed in exclusive and expensive designer brands signals something completely opposite, believes Ekstra Bladet's royal commentator, Kim Bach, who estimates that the expensive habits could become a problem for the Royal Palace.
Photo: Anthon Unger
The expensive shoes, shirts, and jewellery were found when Crown Prince Christian put on his student cap. However, exclusive habits can become a problem for the royal family, often associated with folkliness, according to Ekstra Bladet's royal commentator, Kim Bach.
- When you want to signal [that you're one of the people] but are revealed that you are not, then that is a problem. If anyone was in doubt as to whether the royal family belonged to the upper class, then this helps to remove the doubt, believes Kim Bach, who continues:
- At first glance, the average viewer will think that [the Royal Family] look nice and beautiful, but with the fact that today you have social media where you can find information about what their clothes cost, it becomes wider [knowledge] in the population and, therefore, tampers with the myth that the royals are popular.
Shirt for DKK 11,600
On Monday, Crown Prince Christian graduated from Ordrup Gymnasium in a shirt from Prada for DKK 11,600, an expensive Rolex watch, and beige sneakers from Lanvin for approximately DKK 4,100. His siblings were also dressed in exclusive brands.
For example, 13-year-old Prince Vincent wore a pair of sneakers from Prada for 7,000 DKK, and 17-year-old Princess Isabella wore a 'P' necklace with a diamond from Dulong for 16,900 DKK. She also had a bracelet from Hermès for 5,200 DKK and sandals from the same brand for 4,850 DKK. The sandals are probably Queen Mary's, as she has worn these several times. Princess Josephine, aged 13, wore a bracelet from Dior for DKK 2,600 and two from Valentino for DKK 1,940 each.
Translation and editing for clarity by me from an article by Caroline H. Bilstrup for Ekstra Bladet, published on June 26, 2024.
