There was an upcoming festival in a few days, so this is a good opportunity to put those skills to use

Well. Dang. You were not looking forward to this, as this was a collaborative project. Oh well, you summoned your courage and went to round up the C ranks. Lance was not exactly willing at first, but he gave in eventually

You and he were paired up to work on this project, so you kind of HAD to get to know each other to better get your project done. After much reluctance on Lance's part, he finally caved in after your insistence (read anxiety with this project)

Outside of the project, you've come to be quite fascinated by him. As intimidating as he came across, he's actually quite the softie. He cannot help but find comfort in being in your presence also. So much so that once he feels that he is absolutely sure you're trustworthy, he'll open up to you more and more

Eventually he cannot help but fall for you. As if the overlap between your interests and his wasn't enough. Neither of you could stand injustice, so you've climbed pretty high up in his ranks. Your snarky side does catch him off-guard at first, but he does quite like that about you

He does notice that you often neglect your own needs in favour of taking care of others around you, so don't be surprised if he drags you to someplace quiet so you can catch your breath and properly rest

riddle still knelt there, in a far corner of a temple, dutifully praying to the lone statue of the god he sworn his loyalty to.

in the midst of a quiet atmosphere, riddle briefly wondered how long he had been kneeling there for. time only seemed to keep passing by whenever he did what he was supposed to do, as per the elders' words.

he recalled the event a few years ago, how he, along with several children around his age, was chosen to be this god's followers. over the years, the number of their followers dropped, significantly so, that only riddle and a devoted priest was left. alas, they, too, left, leaving him all alone in this deserted temple.

riddle was baffled, how could someone just... abandon their god, the one they had sworn utmost loyalty to like that? especially when the god they prayed for favoured absolute balance, wouldn't the injustice left them wither with hatred? wouldn't they punish those who dared leaving them in favour of the others?

as far as riddle knew, regardless of what they represented, they were still a god, and they should have been treated as such. he looked up at their statue, their altar lit with candles and a plate of blood offering— his blood, and on his face gleamed a determined look.

he chanted his prayers, one that he had learned by heart, over and over again. if only his god could give him a chance. a chance to prove himself, his loyalty to them, and only them.

he heard a soft chuckle, and the next thing he knew, arms embraced him from behind. they were wrapped around his torso and over his eyes, like a pair of poisonous snakes, slowly tightening the squeeze as to puncture his lungs had his ribs had cracked from the pressure.

but the thing that finally set him on edge, was their presence. it was so familiar, he swore he had it on the tip of his tongue. but something about that presence was... off.

"my, my... it seems that i still have such a devoted mortal as my subject."

riddle felt his heart dropped. they called him a mortal, as if they themself was not one. the gears were turning as the rest of their words finally weight on him.

it was them.

"y-you're—" he wanted to turn around, to see his beloved god, to bask in their glowing glory. but the restraints that was their arms held him tight in his place.

"now, now, my dear." they chuckled again. "i do not want my precious final follower be burned for his little mistake."

riddle felt a piece of fabric was tied around his eyes. internally, he was a bit miffed that he couldn't see them with his own two eyes, but he would respect their wishes. however, there was a faint metallic smell wafted to his senses, and now that he thought about it, he hadn't seen the old patron priest anywhere, it was dead silent since he came here.

riddle felt himself being picked up and cradled in one's arms. their comforting presence calmed him down, as he let the god carry him as they wanted. he yawned, a sudden wave of drowsiness hit him.

succumbing to a dreamless sleep, he never got to see the soft smile his god had on their face. their eyes, however, held an unsettling emotion.

"I will not let you leave me. My dearest Crimson Priest."

I’m a major dog person (no cats, sorry) and have two dogs. I’m an introvert and can get pretty grumpy/overwhelmed with too much social interaction in bigger groups, and do value my alone time. That being said, if I spend too much time alone I can get pretty depressed and need somebody who can help me balance the two. Despite me being introverted, I am pretty social when I am in my element and can talk a lot & joke around a lot (I can be pretty loud). I also am not very reserved and will be brutally honest about how I feel and immediately let somebody know if they’ve upset me, and try to work through the conflict. I really enjoy drawing and doing art, swimming, as well as baking. I tend to thrive in an environment in which I have a schedule and lots of activities to keep me busy (as if I’m out of a scheduled and bored, my depression can creep back in), I do get a bit perfectionistic about a lot of things and tend to be an over-thinker. I am very passionate about my friends and loved ones, and would do anything for them. I do have a little bit of a quick fuse and can be hot-headed, but I’m working on that hehe.

As far as physical description, I’m pretty tall for a girl and have more of an athletic build, which sometimes I can feel insecure about, but I do love my muscles. (I dont know if that makes a difference but hey)

The first aspect about you that jumps out to him is your muscular physique. As lazy as he is, Lance is the type of guy who would appreciate the fact that you take the time out of your day to work out and work on yourself. Also, muscles are not something to be insecure about. He would tell you this if ever your intrusive thoughts tell you bad things about your muscles.

Hello! I was wondering if I could get a matchup? I’m bi so any gender is fine. I use she/her pronouns as well. For personality I’m creative, introverted, and individualistic. Though I’m introverted, around my friends/when I’m comfortable I can be quite talkative and humorous. However, I definitely treasure my alone time the most. Im a very big homebody and can be very hermit introvert sometimes. As for bad traits, I am sometimes the worst pessimist when it comes to myself. I love my practice and everything including, game, web and interaction design, video art and visual effects, 3D modeling and character design, and digital illustration. Sometimes I whip out graphite and ink. A list of random likes: coffee, chai tea, dark chocolate, rock/blues/jazz/80s pop/soundtrack music, cafe art shows, arcades, comic book stores, purple, thai/Indian/Chinese food, roller blading to classic rock, quality alone time. A random list of dislikes: people i am unfamiliar with and have to make small talk with, the biting cold, rain, non fiction, staying too close to reality and not being allowed to daydream/imagine/roam freely in my thoughts, physical touch, overly crowded areas. (A/N: WOW. This took forever to write. I had university assignments that are a higher priority for me 😳)

I hope you're into slow burn because this burn will be incredibly slow. It is worth it in the end, however, since he realizes how similar you are. You give off some major black cat energy, and I feel like Lance would quite appreciate that. He's also a bit introverted, so the first time you'd meet is during a class you're both basically conscripted into taking. You might laugh, but the way you'd actually get to know each other happens in the most "Wattpad" way possible: the two of you are paired up for a project kind of like what happens in his own route.

As he gets to know you, he takes more interest in what you're into. Of course, some of the more modern things you're into are a bit lost on him, but he's more than willing to hear about them. I headcanon that he also has an appreciation for art, so whatever artwork you'd make he'd absolutely adore. He may even ask you to draw him and Gruscha if you're okay with it. He'd even keep some of your pieces for himself.

If he does make it to Earth, I think he'd also like your more modern interests. Heck, I think he'd even do some of your favourite activities with you.

To say that the experience with your paramour on Earth was bizarre is putting it quite lightly. The ubiquitous nature of technology here is dizzying to him, much like magic was to you when you were unceremoniously thrown into Saligia. It took him a while to learn about the magicless world around him, but he managed in no time with your help.

Once he's got his footing on Earth, you took him to places you thought he'd enjoy: restaurants, parks, arcades, as well as some comic book stores. Court of Darkness Characters on Thanksgiving in the Isle of Colde:

Guy: Probably sitting down on a settee and reading, sometimes looking up from his book to make various annoyed noises and snarky commentary. Honestly it’s not that much different than he normally would do

Toa: In the kitchen and trying to help to the best of his ability. We all know his culinary skills are not the best and he really doesn’t even know his way around a kitchen since he doesn’t make his own meals, but he’s trying very calmly to follow Knight’s patient instructions on how to prepare sweet potatoes.

Roy: Probably all over the place. One minute he’s serving tea to the people who are busy helping as a thank-you, the next minute he’s setting the table with Invidian silverware, then the next time you see him he’s probably going back and forth delivering ingredients and trying to help anywhere he possibly can.

Lynt: Sleeping on the couch despite all the noises coming from the kitchen. No questions asked.

Rio: Probably the head chef along with Knight, Jasper, Tino, and Thoma. He’s whipping up pies and cakes with absolute ease and they both look and smell amazing. He’s insanely good at cooking and baking, so he’s probably the one who’s tackling all the difficult dishes.

Lance: Nowhere to be seen. Thanksgiving isn’t his deal and he dislikes all present company. He’s like that one cousin that spends the entire holiday locked in their room listening to music and refusing to spend time with absolutely anyone.

Fenn: Making mischief as often as he possibly can. He’s stealing ingredients, poking people in the ribs when they’re cooking, hugging people from behind by surprise, and generally being a walking disaster wherever he goes.

Jasper: Definitely one of the main chefs. He specializes in glazed meats and savory dishes since it’s what he normally would prepare for Guy’s meals, so he’s probably the one handling the turkey and glazed ham.

Knight: He makes sweets for Toa all the time, so he is probably the one making most of the pies and treats alongside Rio. His pumpkin brownies are one of his most favored dishes!

Grayson: He doesn’t do well in over-crowded or loud areas, so he stays in the lounge with Guy and Lynt and serves them what they need. Occasionally, he will assist Roy with setting the table or making tea for everyone to enjoy while they’re cooking.

Tino: Since he makes succulent and beautiful breads, he’s likely put in charge of the dinner rolls. He and Thoma glaze them fresh out of the ovens with a honey and butter mixture, and everyone’s salivating over the smell. Even Lynt wakes up when he smells the aromatic scent of Voleri Gold.

Thoma: He’s assisting the other valets with what they’re working on, but mainly stays beside Rio and works with him on the sweet dishes. The two of them often make food together, and he helps keep the mood light while joking around with Rio.

Violet: Spends the entire day chasing Fenn around and trying desperately to keep him out of the kitchen. He’s like a toddler, grinning and running around to try and destroy whatever he can manage. When she finds him causing utter chaos in the kitchens, she chases him out with a wooden spoon in hand, a wine glass in the other.

Sherry: She’s very much enjoying herself in her own corner of the kitchens and trying to make cookies unsupervised.
