A house-ad for The Shadow (1973) ongoing series running throughout DC Comics titles released in June 1973. The series would debut in November of the same year featuring the creative team of Denny O'Neil and Mike Kaluta. "The Shadow knows!" references the series' tagline of "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?"

The Shadow doodles. I just read a novel where he fights killer robots and it endeared him to me
#the shadow#lamont cranston#my art#don’t know much about Shadow lore so if his Lamont persona looks distinctly wrong#that’s why#oh the novel was Charg: Monster if anyone’s interested. it’s decent

Ok. I’m not quite sure what my point here is but. I have a type. I guess lol and I noticed a parallel between these two , in many different ways. Anyway I guess this is an appreciation post for both these guys lol
Similar color schemes. Both use dual twin pistols. The shadow uses psychic powers from a mysterious supernatural element. Jason comes from the Lazarus Pit. I mean. I went a whole neurodivergent ted talk to my fiance comparing these two, both of who I simp for lmao. Anyway I can’t unsee the similarities between Jason Todd and The Shadow and now I’m cursing the fandom with it! lol sorry not sorry
