for techno branch would clay feel jealous about branch being a better “fun boy”? I know he’s all about being serious but I refused to believe he wouldn’t feel a little insecure.

I think it'd be similar to Bruce in that he feels jealous that Branch gets to exist as this thing but still get to be a person rather than a persona.

Unlike the heartthrob status which is a bit more easily visible, I don't know if Clay would immediately jump to the conclusion that Branch is the 'fun boy', especially since a lot of the Techno Tribe is like that. If anyone pointed it out to him then I think he might be like 'No, he's not-' but then think on it and see the similarities.

It'd be interesting to see Clay try to treat Branch as 'the fun boy' only for someone like Trollex or Laguna or Synth to shut it down. Maybe he teases Branch in a way that John or Bruce did to him when they were young. He sees Branch working on things with Laguna and he teases him, or he sees Branch working with Trollex or Synth on a playlist and makes a comment that demeans the work a DJ does.

It's very fascinating to me in family dynamics to see a character make the same mistakes on another that were done to them. To see Bruce or Clay do something they're mad at John Dory for. That's already in the movie, but it'd be neat to see it done in more instances.

Cloud-Guy Support Group: After Viva becomes the latest victim of Cloud Guy’s annoying antics, Branch introduces her to the United Council Against Cloud Guy. They encourage her to vent her frustrations, but Viva still has trouble being open about her feelings and tries to avoid getting angry over it.

The Hard-Rock Life: Tired of getting ‘The Pity Treatment’ from every new Troll he meets, Floyd decides to take part in the Hard Rock Tribe’s annual Shred-Cathlon, hoping it will overshadow his experience in Mount Rageous and prove he’s not just a sensitive Pop Troll.

Not-Too-Sad Book Club: At a Sad Book Club meeting, one of Clay’s members suggests that they read a book from a fantasy scrapbook series, but Clay turns it down because it’s ‘not sad enough.’ But after taking a look at it while recovering from a cold, he becomes hooked and desperately tries to hide his new hyper-fixation from his friends.

Turning Tiny: Tiny Diamond is still insisting that he’s a grown-up and begins acting out at home, leaving Guy at a loss of what to do. He accompanies Poppy and Branch to Vacay Island, hoping it will be a good chance for them to reconnect, but is dismayed when Tiny prefers to hang out with Bruce and his kids.

It’s Snow Day Again?!: Both Branch and Poppy’s families have all come together to celebrate Snow Day, with John Dory and Viva especially hoping to make up for all the ones they missed while they were gone. When things don’t go the way they planned, they find themselves repeating Snow Day over and over again, trying to make a perfect Snow Day for their siblings.

Happy Mom-urday!: Once a year, Trolls have a special day to spend time with their mother’s called Mom-urday, but Viva gradually becomes annoyed by the festivities, preferring not to think about her late mom at all.

A Little Less Space: Floyd discovers he has developed claustrophobia after spending two months in a diamond bottle with no way out. Annoyed by this revelation, he tries to conquer this fear before word gets out, enlisting help from Synth and Laguna.

When Clay Met Viva (Again): Clay and Viva explain to a curious Poppy and Branch about how they met, retelling the story of how a young Clay stumbled upon Putt-Putt Village and met a young but traumatized Princess Viva for (unknown to them) the second time.

Someone’s In The Kitchen With Bruce: Brandy injures her hands and is unable to cook, so Branch offers to help Bruce keep up with orders in his restaurant by helping out in the kitchen. Bruce is surprised by how skilled his brother has become with cooking, and the brothers get a chance to bond as Branch begins to recall fond memories of helping Bruce cook as a child.

What’s Today?: Branch wakes up after a long day of working around Trollstopia, and is surprised to find all of his brothers in the bunker for breakfast. Afterwards, he quickly darts out once he realizes he never finished his checklist from yesterday. He becomes deeply confused, however, when most of them seem to have been taken care of already and his brothers keep popping up to do other activities with him. Branch wonders if he forgot about a holiday occurring that day, and eventually learns that he passed out from over-exhaustion the previous night and his brothers have just been trying to help him relax and remind him that he’s not alone anymore.

Was working with a groggier clay body this week and i forgot how we’ll behaved it is! The rough texture is rough on my hands, but all others aspects - shape forming, trimming, adding handles and applying things like scales - were really easy to do. And now im back to Laguna B Mix which is so soft and smooth and becomes such a nice white when fired but gives me so many other problems

Hey! I adore your work sm and I’m just wondering what type of clay you use?

some of my earlier work is polymer clay (super sculpey in particular is my fav), but most of my stuff now is ceramic! as far as ceramic clays go i just use Laguna's white midfire b-mix mostly, but i've been trying to find a red clay that i like and i think i've found that in rocky mountain clay's flagstone - though i haven't posted any of the pieces i've made with that yet!

hello! are you comfortable sharing what ceramic and glaze brands you use?

Sure, no problem! The two pieces I’ve posted so far were sculpted with a B-mix clay. I’m pretty sure the brand is Laguna. For other pieces, I have often used a white stoneware with grog from Sheffield Pottery. This type of clay is especially good for sculpting because it’s strong. And I’ve dabbled in porcelain, but I don’t know the brand. My teacher just had some lying around and let me use it lol.

For underglaze I use Amaco Velvet Underglazes. And for a top glaze I usually use the Amaco mixing clear celadon. This combination works really well together for what I make!

Some pieces I’m going to post in the future will have other, colorful glazes on them, but they are mixed by the members of the studio I go to, so there’s no brand name.

If you don't mind my asking, what clay body are you using for your sgraffito  dishes? I've been looking for a clay that fires really white but holds up well for hand building. Thank you!

I've been using Laguna B-Mix, but it's the default clay my studio sells to me, so I don't necessarily know if it's the best one because I don't have that much experience working with other types! It also fires a bit yellow-white so it's not a pure white like porcelain.

You will not ignore it, Dialga worked so hard to traumatize you with it

Viva: Fun Co-leader of her own kingdom

Minuet: She doens't know how to play Minecraft so she bought one of those 'guide to minecraft' books thats several updates outdated

Forte: Dante invited him to play but he ran off to follow Synth around

Gust: Stops people from griefing

Laguna: does a bit of everything. Tries her best to learn everything there is about minecraft

Cooper: sets fires

Prince D: gets blamed for setting the fires because he and cooper have the same skin

R and B: building elaborate redstone contraptions to farm, do villager trades, etc etc

Bounty Hunters: they set up a criminal system just so they could bounty hunt in game. Barb and Techno Branch hire them

Kismet: Boom keeps trying to build a house and Ablaze and Trickee keep stealing blocks from him. Hype is doing all the actual work and if he has to find ANOTHER crimson forest so help him-

Switcheroo Brainstorming

I'm making an role reversal au! I'm going to post this along with my posts for Viva, Poppy, and Branch specifically, which you can find by clicking on their names! Here's some ideas I have:

So Branch and Poppy are basically going to be full-on switching lines, though their backstories will be very different cause... it's kinda hard to replace 4 people with 1 sister and a father. So band together is going to be the most different! More details in the individual posts for the characters

I want "Better Place" to be replaced with "It Takes Two" for the final confrontation in TBT :)

Not all characters are going to be switch 1-to-1. Again, the brothers are going to be hard to switch for. Also, not all characters readily have someone to replace them with

There will be a lot of trollstopia characters that will be in the world tour switch, but they'll mostly have the personalities of the trolls they switch with so watching the show isn't a must (But i still recommend both shows, they're pretty fun!)

Most of the troll tribe leaders will be replaced with a trollstopia character, EXCEPT for Queen Essence and King Quincy cause I need them to be in those roles. They'll just change lines and outfits maybe?

I have no idea what to do with the bounty hunters so if you have a recommendation id love to hear it!

There's not much to say other than character switches which will be put under the cut cause it'll be a long list. If you have any recommendations or questions, hit up my ask box!

For the techno trolls it's going to be a triangle. Laguna-> Trollex -> Synth -> Laguna. The reason for this is changing Trollex and Synth would be too similar, and would leave Laguna with no one (Except for Bliss Marina)

The other BroZone members don't really have counterparts. Clay and Bruce stay mostly the same while Floyd joins the rock trolls.

Autonomous cars are interfering with fire trucks responding to calls in San Francisco. From the article:

Among the standout reports:

On Jan. 22, “an electric car with no driver” would not stop while advancing toward fire personnel and hoses fighting a blaze in the 1300 block of Hayes St. A firefighter eventually smashed the Cruise vehicle’s window to make it stop after they “yelled at it twice to stop, banging my fist on the hood.”

On Jan. 24 at Laguna and Hayes streets, a Cruise autonomous vehicle “rapidly approached” firefighters extinguishing an outdoor fire. It came to a stop between them and their engine — and atop their hose. Firefighters were unable to move the car; after several minutes, an operator was contacted via the car’s intercom, and it was moved after several more minutes.

On March 21, a fire rig was traveling on Palou Street, with lights and sirens on, to an incident. A Waymo car traveling the opposite direction turned directly in front of it onto Newhall Street and then abruptly stopped, blocking the fire rig. It did not move until approximately a minute later. 

On March 21, a fire truck with its lights and siren running passed a driverless Waymo while heading south on Dolores Street. While the driverless vehicle initially edged to the right far enough that the fire truck could pass, it then “appeared to turn sharply” and accelerated toward the rear of the fire truck. “I accelerated to avoid being hit by the driverless vehicle,” wrote the firefighter. The driverless car proceeded to chase him or her off: “The vehicle continued to come all the way over into my lane, and appeared to accelerate towards my rear bumper. I then further accelerated to get away from the vehicle as quickly as possible.” 

Also on March 21, two Cruise vehicles drove up Clay Street, going through caution tape strung across Hyde Street. Downed Muni wires caught in their rooftop apparatuses, but they kept driving. “As they continued up the street, the rise in elevation increased the tension in the wire on the roof, and the two vehicles finally came to a stop in the intersection of Clay and Leavenworth streets. … If this wire had still been ‘hot,’ this would have been much more hazardous.”

On May 4, firefighters at Station 36 on the 1100 block of Mission St. were unable to respond to a call, as they were blockaded within by a driverless vehicle. Firefighters poured out of the fire rig to attempt to move the autonomous vehicle. While the dumpster fire — yes, a literal dumpster fire — incident was called off, the firefighters still were unable to move the autonomous vehicle. As they began backing their fire truck back into the station, the driverless car rolled off.

On May 9, a Cruise autonomous vehicle ran over “several lengths of hose that were laid out in the street” in front of Station 2 on the 1300 block of Powell St. The police were called. In the notes on this report, a fire department official notes that “several thousands dollars of damage” was inflicted on the equipment.

On June 5, a Waymo blocked Engine 2 in its station on the 1300 block of Powell. The engine could not pull out, despite a serious “Code 3” call. “The employee from Waymo was flustered and trying to override the car and have it moved,” writes a firefighter. “It took over 2 minutes for the car to finally move.” 

On June 7, a driverless car once again blocked Engine 2 in the station. “Connected with Waymo employee remotely,” reads the report. “Took over 8 minutes to have car put in manual mode to move.” 

Cruise representative told firefighters to remove the cone so the autonomous vehicle could be moved remotely, the firefighter chose not to. “I opted to leave the cone on the hood of the Cruise vehicle until a live person was present to move the vehicle.”

On Aug. 5 at the Legion of Honor, a Waymo parked itself between a fire truck and a burning car. “This action impacted our suppression efforts negatively, due to members having to walk around the Waymo with a charged hose line and fight active fire,” reads the report. “The car was positioned between the car on fire and the fire engine.”
