is it okay that this lady is in the dead ladies club?
i simply wanted the excuse to talk about the moms. i'm not including ashara, elia, or lyanna in this, because the last two are plot relevant deaths and ashara's is left purposefully mysterious I think because we are going to get some sort of answer there (not even implying "lemore is ashara" here, i think the fact that we have conflicting info on her does mean something about her baby being relevant to the tower of joy, which means howland or bran/the weirwood hivemind are going to reveal that to us. will it be a huge reveal that shakes the earth? i mean, probably not, but i do think it will be relevant).
letâs gooo-
joanna lannister is a dead mom with some narrative weight to her. all three lannisters think about how different their lives might have been, define themselves by the gaping absence of her in their life, and the fact that jaime commits more violence in the riverlands, convinces himself itâs a job well done, and of all people itâs his MOTHER who comes to him in a dream just to be like âthis is your conscious speaking, youâre a fucking idiot get your life together dude,â you really feel that this is a family that was wrecked by the loss of their mother at a young age. it Is noticeable that we donât get much of an idea of her personality compared to the men tho.
can she stay in the dead ladies club? yes, i think this is a well thought out dead mom, i simply wish she had slightly more characterization than âloving mom & wife.â
minisa whent gets less characterization, i think bc we only have cat as insight into her, so i can sort of forgive that, esp since i do think itâs noticeable that for all cat is really fuckijg busy most of the time, she does think about her mother and wonder if she would have been happier with her mother around. lysa & edmure only get to be Like That because they really had no adult taking care of them except cat who was still all but a child herself, so you can feel minisaâs absence in the characterization of her children and the damage her death did to the tully siblings.
can she stay in the dead ladies club? yes, i think this is a well thought out dead mom, although once again i wish we had the opportunity to get information on the type of person she was outside of "loving mother." i do think that minisa and joanna are meant to mirror each other in this way though - they died so young that they are forever frozen in the minds of their children as these paragons of goodness, as a reminder of where their lives went wrong, and what might have happened if things had been a little less sad for them.
whatâs interesting about loreza nymeros martell is that we donât even know what her actual name IS or her age or when she died AND YET despite how little time we spend with characters that knew her, Doran names her as an influence on him and quotes her, and this scene - âthis is your kingdomâ in the water gardens - is usually pointed to as one of those scenes that are The Point Of The Series. the writing around her is certainly clunky but at least you can tell there was thought put into the kind of person doranâs mother was and how she might have influenced doran's life. i also think it's notable here that we know she was up to things besides giving birth - she was a lady at court, she was friendly with joanna and rhaella, she was attempting to engage her kids to non dornish lords so she was clearly very pro-Dorne Being Involved as opposed to having an isolationist bent. we know a decent amount about her personality, and we don't even know who she marries, which is honestly kind of funny - so many of these characters only think about their fathers yet doran only thinks of his mother.
can she stay in the dead ladies club? yes, but we are deducting points for not having arianne think about her at all and also still not knowing her name.
cassana eastermont is a question mark but to be fair,,,,,so is steffon and that is kind of the point of both of them. cassana and steffon were at court, and then died, so like the other siblings of this era, the baratheon boys grew up Without An Adult In The Room except for Maester Cressen. the tragedy of Cressen being helpless to keep his boys together, and dying in a vain attempt to save whatâs left of stannis and renlyâs souls, it doesnât really work if any of them have a lot of fond memories that they dwell over of cassana or steffon. and no one has any real idea how aware steffon was of the whisperings of rebellion against aerys because theyâre so absent from the narrative, itâs funny that their son then became the face of that rebellion despite steffonâs targaryen mother. BUT. yeah it does objectively suck that we donât know what cassana was up to before she had her first baby and then she dies, bc at least we know steffon was alive and doing shit, weâre just fuzzy on what. cassana begins and ends as a wife and mother, that really sucks and i wish we had gotten a single person throwaway commenting about her.
can she stay in the dead ladies club? yes, but i think if we had some throwaway lines about her, as an example, fostering at Storm's End so Rhaelle had some female company (since she had no daughters, and only the one son) and her and Steffon met and married that way, so that we know she existed before becoming a mother.
rhaella targaryen is an interesting example because we not only have several characters who remark on her and knew her, we actually get a significant amount of characterization for her. she was clearly romantic enough to entertain fantasies of running off with bonifer hasty and yet pragmatic enough to not pull a stunt like that. "mindful of her duty" as it's put, but also rebelling against her brother-husband in ways by being openly kind to rhaegar and embracing rhaenys and elia. stubborn enough to crown viserys on dragonstone. a loving mother whose loss broke viserys' mind. but...like did she have to die in childbirth? did daenerys have to have no memories of her whatsoever? would it not have been perfectly within the plot george wanted if rhaella and ser willem darry were with her, and died of a fever at the same time?
can she stay in the dead ladies club? no, i think it's really annoying and dumb that rhaella dies on dragonstone giving birth to dany. i dont think it changes the plot in any way if rhaella had stayed alive for four or five years after dany's birth, and if dany thought about her mother from time to time. it is honestly one of the my Main quibbles with this series, that dany never thinks about the women in her family when she thinks of leaders and rulers, only the men.
lyarra stark is in my opinion the most egregious example of a woman in the dead ladies club. no personality, no in canon mentions of her, no idea when she dies, george didn't even think about her until twoiaf. there were theories and mystery surrounding her and the answer was "george did not think she was relevant" and it sure is fun and intersting to look at which dead characters are irrelevant and which ones get characterization (see comments about steffon vs cassana). i get wanting most of the grandparents to be dead by the end of robert's rebellion - a lot of the point is that the sets of siblings from the rebellion era are very isolated from their childhoods, signified by the losses of their parents and especially their mothers (as motherhood and childhood are kind of intrinsically linked together). but why did she have to die before the rebellion? why does ned never once think about her? why must it always be the mother who is inconsequential while the father makes history? to throw george's own words at him, the woman is important too!
can she stay in the dead ladies club? no, there's just no reason why she couldn't have lived to the rebellion, been the Stark in Winterfell alongside Benjen, and died during the war, either of grief, shock, or potentially even after an attempt at finding lyanna herself goes awry.

Two questions: 1) Considering how he wanted a super high match for his only son, yet is the lord paramount of the kingdom with such fickle loyalty. Do you think it wouldâve been wise for Lord Hoster Tully to marry a riverlander girl to give him a second son and tighter connection? Especially after marrying a whent the first time. 2) why didnât he remarry? If cateyln had to do the lady job at around 10, who did it after she and lysa left. It seems important.
This is a question I remember asking myself when I was planning out and writing The Death of Kings, since Hoster's choice to remarry had such a significant impact not just on Catelyn (who became de facto lady of Riverrun) but on Lysa, who was still very young when her mother died and lost a potential source of support and intervention.
Why didn't Hoster remarry? In ACOK, Catelyn speculates that, after her mother died in childbirth, specifically trying to have a second son after Edmure,
the life had gone out of Father. She was always so calm, Catelyn thought, remembeing her mother's soft hands, her warm smile. If she had lived, hos ddifferent our lives might have been. She wondered what Lady Minisa would make of her eldest daughter, kneeling here before her. (ACOK, Catelyn IV)
We are never given a concrete, in-universe explanation for why Hoster did not remarry. The implication is that he loved his first wife, Minisa Whent, and, since he already had one heir (and, depending on the timing, Brynden as well), he chose not to remarry. For a man with the political reputation that Hoster has in canon, that is definitely an odd choice. It's possible that, at the time of Minisa's death, there just weren't any potential candidates, but Hoster remained unmarried for the rest of his life, and we see plenty of examples of older men marrying much younger women to secure their successions (e.g. Jon marrying Lysa).
Now, if we take a step back, we can see a pattern in that generation: Rickard Stark, Tywin Lannister, and Jon Arryn are all widowers who chose not to remarry--or, in Jon's case, chose not to remarry until exigent circumstances forced him into it. Now, Rickard had three sons and a daughter, and we don't get any indication of when or how Lyarra Stark died. Joanna Lannister was the love of Tywin's life and we get plenty of information from his children about why he never remarried. But we don't get that for Hoster, and given how intuitive and perceptive Catelyn usually is, this does reveal that when it comes to her own family, she isn't the impartial observer. She can't be. There are questions other narrators might ask that she does not--about Hoster, about Lysa, about Edmure--because she has a very particular image of her family and never quite shakes that off.
The out-of-universe reason is, well, the Dead Ladies Club. GRRM has made the choice--for reasons of his own--to omit the mothers of many of the main players in Robert's Rebellion for a variety of reasons. Without Joanna, the Lannister family dynamics turn inward and become even more toxic. Without Lyarra, Ned is forced into the sole leadership role at Winterfell after Robert's Rebellion. And without Minisa, Hoster, perhaps unwittingly, smothers two out of his three children with unfair expectations, while the third only escapes because of how much she resembles her dead mother.

Fell into a new series. Whoops đ«ą
Decided to do some designs for some Lannister ladies who didn't appear in the show/books (yet). A lot of them don't really have much in way of descriptions so I kinda just went wildđ€·ââïž
I'm still slogging through the books so these are very show-inspired (plus I love the costume design of the earlier seasons, fuck it). Joanna's white-blonde hair is inspired by @amuelia's headcanon. I think it's a really cool idea :3
Reblogs are appreciatedâ€ïž

Donât Say It (Tywin x Reader)
I know I disappeared for a little but I hit a writers block with this one, I think itâs due to exhaustion over me working full time so I hope @thanyatargaryen forgives me if this wasnât what you intended. Enjoy
Olenna Tyrell was a legend, she had learned the rules by heart and was now on a mission to pass them down to her wonderful granddaughters, the beautiful rose that listened to the name of Margaery and the bewitching siren that could stop a man with a simple song, the young (y/n).
Olenna was no fool, she recognized that the two girls were her strongest soldiers, with these two alone she could rule all of Westeros, well at least all the men which was the same thing.
âToday is an important day, even for you dearest, the wedding of your sister to the king means every eligible lord from all of the seven kingdoms will be attendingâ
âI am well aware, you do not have to worry about me, grandmotherâ
(Y/n) reassured olenna whilst her handmaidens assisted her with the finest dress anyone had ever seen, it was her first time at court she needed to look her best, (y/n) squeezed into a dress that was custom made, her hair had taken hours and was brushed to perfection and she smelled of the finest of fragrance oils that were brought from Dorne, it is safe to say that (y/n) couldnât have looked nor smelled better.
Everyoneâs breath hitched at their throats when (y/n) walked with the confidence only a Tyrell could possess, she strutted up to her big sister to wrap her arms around Margaery with clear endearment.
âCongratulations, my queenâ
âOh come on now stop with thatâ
âI know this is a blessed day for the king but could he be so kind and hear a plea I have for him?â
âAnything for my good sisterâ
âLook after my dear Marge, as she has done for meâ
(Y/n)s voice was as sweet as strawberry cakes and her smile could stop a man dead in his tracks, the young Tyrell leaned on her big sister pressing her chin on Margaerys shoulder whilst the bride leaned her head close to (y/n) as well, the girls shared a strong bond, it was the first time that they would be separated ever since (y/n) was born.
What they did not know was that a certain someone had already his blue set of eyes on the lovely Tyrell who seemed so blatantly unaware of it all, Tywin had sworn to never remarry, no one would ever be as good as his dearest Joanna, she was the one that knew him like the back of her hand, the lady that could wrap her arms around the vicious lion and make him swoon, if she saw him now she would laugh at him, she always told him ânever say never my love, you wonât know what the future holds for youâ.
âYou have your queen and your alliance now, I hope you are happyâ
âNaturally, Margaery will serve the realm greatlyâ
âSoon enough she will start popping out lions, hopefully, my little (y/n) will have better luckâ
âWhat could be better than becoming the queen mother?â
âBecoming the lady wife of a lord that cares for your well-being and happinessâ
Tywin grew silent, there was nothing he could say against the allegations of Jeffreyâs cruel nature, he could only hope that Margaery was cunning enough to outsmart him which honestly was not going to be much of a huddle, all the times that Joffrey has been able to be sadistic was owed to other peoples stupidity to either allow him or cover for him.
âWell then let me take a good look at this girl you have such expectations for, lady (y/n)â
Tywin called for the girl whilst he stood a few feet away from the newlyweds, (y/n)s eyes finally found his, and Tywin felt his chest grow tight, the girl was a dream, a dream he often had but could never speak of due to him always believing it will be just that⊠a silly dream of a widower.
âLord Tywin, I can imagine this day is probably one of the happiest for your house, correct me if I am wrong but house Tyrell has never wed a Lannister prior to this momentâ
âIndeed, let this be a fruitful union for both of our houses, your grandmother has spoken quite highly of youâ
âOh do not listen to her, it is a grandmother's nature to always speak for her grandchildren in the best lightâ
âNonsense, Garlan is utterly nice which makes him boring and Loras likes to imagine being a young day twirling in a dress on the garden field, I had lost all hope up until you and your sister were born, the true soldiers of the Tyrellâsâ
(Y/n) smiled sweetly before she leaned to place a kiss on her grandmother's cheek, (y/n) and Margaery was well trained, they had sat on the table and played against the best of players only to come out victorious, now Margaery was queen and (y/n) was ready to score her alliance that would bring nothing but glory to her and her family.
âLady olenna is a lot of things but she is not soft nor does she hide behind her finger, if she says you are her best card then I truly believe itâ
Olenna noticed the graciousness in the old lions' words, she picked up on the scanning look that started from her toes and ended on the top of her head, (y/n) did not even have a hair out of place, she placed her hand over her heart as a sign of vulnerability and her smile became brighter in gratitude.
âYou are utmost kind, my lord, it is not every day a lady gets to be complimented by the warden of Casterly Rock and the hand of the king, I consider myself lucky for thatâ
âLuck has nothing to do with it, above it all I am a man that favors honesty and that is what you are receivingâ
âI shall go before your words get all in my head, it was an honor to meet you, my lordâ
(Y/n) went to curtsy before she was interrupted by Tywin that instead of letting her, reached for her hand and then placed his other one on top of hers, a smirk still evident on his lips as his eyes pierced through her, yet he was left with nothing, (y/n) had always prevailed under the hawking looks of men, she was well aware that she could not budge whatsoever.
âI will see you later Grandmotherâ
âOf course little flower, go on now, have some fun for meâ
Olenna kissed the top of the ladyâs head lovingly, it was not a secret that olenna doted on her especially now that it was her turn to marry, she had to bite her lip when it came to Margaery since her son had already bargained her for a sweet deal of a crown, she must do right by (y/n).
Once the lady was far away enough Olenna turned her head towards Tywin who was still following the enchanting Tyrell with his gaze, the way she walked, talked, even her breathing was perfect, his thumb traced over his fingertips, recalling how soft and warm he skin felt against his touch.
âI know that lookâ
âPardon?â
âYou are planning somethingâ
âI always amâ
âIf you are scheming to betroth my precious flower to another lion, I must admit I would rather it be you than that little son of yours, in truth I would rather for her to stay away from lions but an old lion is better than Tyrionâ
-
The news of Tywins betrothal hit everyone in kings landing like a ton of bricks. Joffrey was dead, Margaery was technically the dowager queen, and the crown was getting weak by the moment.
(Y/n) had become her sister's shadow, some applauded her compassion and how she was present at all hours to console her sister, what they did not know was that Olenna was already moving the strings for Margaery to marry Tommen, the young, kind boy who could never hurt a fly, however, Olenna had ensured both of the girls now once and for all, what better way to do that than to mess with Tywins head?
âLady olenna, to what do I owe the pleasure?â
âI am here to propose another marriage between my house and yoursâ
âThat is no surprise, I am to expect you wish to betroth Margaery to Tommen?â
âNo, no my dear Margaery has been through way too muchâ
âLoras is still to marry Cersei, is there a change in that betrothal?â
âUnfortunately that mess of a wedlock is still going steady, I am concerned over my (y/n)â
Tywin had been too occupied with writing to look up at olenna up until now, his ears perked up at the sound of her name, the girl with the bright smile and the scary resemblance to a shadow of the past.
âWhat do you wish to suggest?â
âMy (y/n) is sweet, kind, and full of life, I believe Tommen would treat her as delicate as she deserves to be treatedâ
âTommen? You want to put (y/n) by the new king's side?â
âTommen is a good boy, nothing like Joffrey, I have taken notice of how Tommen smiles at her, no man could ever deny my beloved granddaughter, I am convinced their reign will be prosperousâ
âMayhaps, although I do not believe Tommen should be the one to marry (y/n)â
âWho else could stand the weight of the crown? Tommen is in much need of someone like (y/n), to keep him humble and gentle, show him what it is like to be lovedâ
That was what made tywins blood boil the most, the concept of (y/n) hugging Tommen, his grandson brushing (y/n)s hair, the lady creating a child out of Tommens semen, the image of her with a swollen belly whilst Tommen rubbed his hand over it made his skin crawl.
No, no he would never allow another man to be by her side on those milestones, he was graced by the gods with a second chance at love, how could he be a bystander to a marriage that would probably be terrific, although Tywin could never survive with the âwhat ifâ lingering on his mind.
âBecause she is to marry meâ
âPardon?â
âI am to be betrothed to the lady (y/n), our marriage will take place the same day as Margaerys and Tommens, your Margaery will be queen, and lady (y/n) will become the lady of the rockâ
âI would rather die than let my dearest become a second wife, your daughter will eat her alive once the news hit her earsâ
âAre you afraid of Cersei?â
âI am petrified of the brass neck your daughter possesses, that woman thinks she can do whatever she pleases with no consequenceâ
âCersei is my daughter, you have nothing to worry about she will not be allowed to harm your little girl, once (y/n) falls pregnant that child will become heir of Casterly Rockâ
âWhat if she births a girl?â
âYou and (y/n) along with Margaery will decide on her future, I will not partake or force my daughter to do anythingâ
âYour offer is dripping with syrup, but I will not accept, I gave you Loras and Margaery and now you dare to ask for moreâ
âIf you do not consent to this then I shall announce a match of (y/n) and Ser Sandor Clegane, how does that sound?â
âCareful now, what you are suggesting is⊠graspingâ
âIndeed, but I am feeling rather charitable so I grant you the day to decide, if I do not have an answer by the morrow then the sweet girl will be cloaked with a wonderful yellow flagâ
Tywin was a man that proudly stood behind his every word, so as he walked out with a triumphed smirk on his lips he was too occupied with feeling his triumph to notice that olenna was also doing the same (y/n) was now the future lady of the rock and Margaery was to have a second chance to wear the crown.
âMy lordâ
(Y/n) interrupted his thoughts once she saw him, Tywin stopped swiftly before he could fall right onto her, she was waiting behind the door anxiously, her eyes gawked at the man as her cheeks grew rosy from the embarrassment of her clumsy nature.
âLady (y/n), what seems to be so important that you could not wait in your chamber for your grandmotherâ
âShe informed me about my betrothal, I apologize I was just so fidgety I wanted to know the second that it was settledâ
âAre you in such a rush to marry that boy? I am concerned over your tasteâ
âTommen is a wonderful person and the future king, any lady would be lucky to be his lady wifeâ
âSo is it the promise of a crown that excites you? I can tell you wearing a piece of metal decorated with gems will not bring you any happinessâ
âPardon my intrusion but why are you so opposed to the fact of me marrying your grandson? I am highborn and have received the proper education, your house along with the Baratheon owe my family everythingâ
âIt is not you that is not enough young ladyâ
Silence fell over them, Tywin had stumbled right on her trap and now he was as still as a grain of salt, only blinking at the girl that acted surprised over his suggestion that Tommen was the one that was short when he stood next to her, (y/n) bit her lip before she gazed down for a split second and then back up, she wanted to appear at a loss of words.
âI do not want to believe what my thoughts are suggestingâ
âYou are a fool if you donâtâ
âLord Tywin, you and I it- how couldâ
âI am too old for this game my dear, I have given your grandmother the rest of the day to decide and if Iâm being frank I believe that luck is on my side, so I suggest you ran along and instruct the finest tailor to start on your gown, you must look as stunning as everâ
âI am fluttered, but I do not understand-â
âListen to me dear, from that moment you smiled at me you have haunted every waking moment and I cannot seem to escape you even in the shackles of deep slumber, I am aware that I do not look like the young and beautiful knight in shining armor a maiden might expect to marry but I can you this promise right now, every other lady from east to west will be jealous of the luck you held when you marry meâ
Lord Tywin once again made his exit thinking that he had the upper hand, if someone were to consider everything that has been done in this world wasnât it always like this?
A man trotted away victorious while the woman stood and smiled proudly at herself, moving the strings without even the man realizing that she had very carefully placed the strings around his arms like a little puppet.
âMy dearest girl, I was there at your birth and I took one good look at you and saw the moon and the stars in those eyes, I always knew you would be the brightest of them allâ
Olenna informed (y/n) once she had walked into the office Tywin was in moments ago, Olenna wrapped her arms around her in the most loving manner and (y/n) responded with the same warmth.
âWe have so much to plan, the future doesnât wait for anyoneâ
-
âHow could he ever do this to our family?â
âWho did what?â
âDo not play the fool with me Jaime I am sure you have heard of the vilest news, our father is to marry that little rat from Highgardenâ
âOne of them is a smirking whore and the other one is a rat? Well you certainly wonât have a good time in the palace once all of them marry into our familyâ
âHow could be so calm at this time? Our son is dead, the other one is to marry Margaery and now our father betrayed usâ
âOur father has been without a wife for over a decade Cersei, he is a highborn lord, anyone would have a good chunk of heirs from another wife by nowâ
In jaimes defense he has always attempted to take the logical side when Cersei went on her little paranoid rants over loyalty or whatever the case was at that time, however, this time he could not sit for hours and let her blabber.
Jaime did not even blink when his father told him about his betrothal, he is a kingsguard, and Tyrion is⊠well, Tyrion and Cersei have played her part in becoming queen though she could not inherit lannisport, every year he waited for his father to announce a marriage of alliance for himself and now it was finally time.
âThis is despicable, they will tarnish our nameâ
âHow will they do that exactly? (Y/n) will probably do her best at becoming pregnant which will install our name to live on which as you know is truly what our father cares aboutâ
âMargaery is a manipulative little scum she will shred our Tommen to piecesâ
âTommen was tormented by Joffrey for years and you know it, if anything having some female tending to him will probably do wonders for his confidenceâ
âOf course as a man that is all you think about, I do not even know why I came to you over this matter, once again I am called to act by myselfâ
That is when Jaime had heard enough, very softly he rose from his seat and went over to his clearly disheveled sister, a kiss was laid on the center of her forehead all while his hands rubbed up and down to her forearms making her puff out a breath of relief from the comfort his touch brought to her.
âYou will do nothing, Father has already announced his betrothal, if anyone even touched a hair from (y/n)s head he will not hesitate to demand its head to be served on a silver platterâ
âFather is just being short sighed it is us that must act to save himâ
âFrom what? Having his bed warm by a woman? Especially her, surely you are not that blind that you havenât understood what he saw in herâ
âDonât say itâ
âI know it feels like salt over the wound-â
âNo, noâ
âYou must admit the resemblance is uncannyâ
âNever!â
Cersei pushed him away harshly, tears welled up in her eyes and all of a sudden she was rudely pulled back to that day, the gods forsaken day that Cersei had to witness her mother laying in bed with blood staining her nightgown.
âThat bitch is not our motherâ
âShe is not, though she looks like herâ

A Bride in the Eyes of Some
Tywin Lannister X Reader Fic đŠ
-
(nsfw!)
âThe Lady (Y/N) Lannisterâ, a title that ran through your mind and rang in your ears as you heard it.
You felt a certain disdain run down your spine that day, a rattle in your soul like no other. The announcement was a shocking one to you, remembering the day you were declared as the newest woman to Tywin Lannister. You remembered the wedding, how he didnât share more than the hardest of pecks on your cheek as the Septon declared you man and wife. You remember the silence, the groaning and worn down creaking of the bed of your wedding night. You forced yourself to like it, you forced yourself to muster out pseudo-moans as Lannister-bred seed poured into you. You forced yourself to embrace your life as a vessel for blonde-haired children, with eyes as green as emeralds with a stiff lip. Heâd never love you like he loved Joanna, you would never replace the whole in his heart she left behind. You would never be his love, youâd never be her. Or so, you thought.
Over time, you had learned to navigate the Red Keep, you learned to navigate the people that resided there. And you especially learned to navigate your lord husband, of Tywin. At times you didnât have much to go off of, a grunt or a mumble underneath his breath damning something to the Seven Hells. His cunning mind and how it worked itsâ way around the realms of politicking and pursuits of power. It intimidated you, it made you question yourself and your intelligence. Which you knew for sure, was a purposeful act. You needed to be on his time, you needed his mind, or heâd cast you away as useless. You learned to keep your distance at times, the Great Lion a man you didnât dare to want to upset. You kept your interactions to a tee, never wanting to overbear him with what he viewed as âimperfectionsâ. He only needed you when he called you, whether it be an execution of such schemes, or to warm his bed. He didnât love to embrace your flesh, you imagine he thought of Joanna as he rocked you against the sheets. But you were wrong in that behalf, at least, as he grew used to you.
To most of Westeros, and even his own flesh and blood, Tywin was a lonely, bitter soul that threw back at the world what it gave to him; ten times as harsher. A cold, calculating man that cared for the benefit of him and him alone. But, he remained gentle with you, becoming more than a means of his lust. He was as delicate as he could be, being the Great Lion of The Rock. A softer stare in your direction rather than the cold, brutish one he darted to his enemies, or even the politest of terms when he speaks of you. You could listen to the words âlady-wifeâ roll off of his tongue all day and into the darkest of nights. He learned to tolerate your differentiating antics over time, finding them rather comical as he grew to know you more. How you interacted with servants among the Rock, to how passionate you grew about something you were determined for. You watched as a connection blossomed between you two, no longer the glacial silence that you both slept through, begging for one of you to find the courage to speak.
He would watch you as you read in bed with him, occasionally making a few notes and sneers about your posture. He would poke at the Old Valaryian books you insisted to put your nose in, laughing at your naïveté of the past. You were on guard at first, ready to bite back at whatever you felt was an insult until you realized it. He was talking to you, he was jeering with you. He was loving you. What stared off as the burden of your existence, the dread you wished to hide from as you laid next to him, become passionate. You were making love to Lord Tywin Lannister. No longer hid pathetic tears you held back, became moaning, a desperation for flesh you shared.
You daydreamed of how he rocked your hips atop of him, his grunting and slight-growling. He never said much during the act of fervoring your cunt onto him, but he didnât need to. You would have his children, you would make his heirs, hopefully to turn out better than the three he was given. He was strong enough to place you how he saw fit, whether it be upon your knees, lying on your back and holding onto your ankles, or below him. He wanted you to worship him, every inch and fold of his skin he gave to you. At times, heâd whap you across the bottom, leaving warm spots from where his hands struck. At other times, he would have you on your knees, pulling you by the shoulder back to the gracious inches he gave to you. Tywinâs hands were some of the most dangerous pair within Westeros, hands you were not exempt from in the bed. And he would fuck you, until he grew tired, or had had you well-filled with enough loads of his seed to give him an entire line of Lannisters.
As his seed would pool out of you when you turned over to find a smidgen of rest, you would feel him. A singular hand wrapped around you, his head not too far from your shoulder. It was no longer the political prison you so desperately wanted to escape, it was love. Love of the highest points, love that stretched from The Rock to Dorne. A love that could never be taken away from you. A love that would be seen and heard among the Gods and men, new and old. And a love, you would never want out of.

What would happen if Joanna Lannister, Lyarra Stark, and Minisa Tully all lived? How would they impact their children's lives?
Joannaâs children may still fall to generational curses, but dammit Joanna is gonna at least confront the problem instead of ignore it. Tyrion has a marginally easier life; I don't think she's going to just embrace him completely, but basically anything is better than Tywin. I think Joanna will insist on ending the incest, which puts Jaime in a better position, but for Cersei it kinda depends on the prophecy. the Joanna-Cersei question is always the most interesting to me because of how deeply Cersei hates most other women; can Joanna help Cersei calm a bit, convince her Tyrion is harmless, help her deal with being married to an awful man? Or does Cersei split on her own mother, too traumatized and mentally unwell to see the truth in her ownn mother's face? I can't say, but I think it would be fascinating to see Cersei deal with a female relative that isn't Myrcella. Regardless of all that, Joanna being at Casterly Rock during Robertâs Rebellion is an interesting change - does she hold a grudge against Aerys and urge him to join the rebels?
Minisa changes everything for Lysa. She would be much more well adjusted, looked after, and loved with her mother there, that even the feeling of being in Catâs shadow may well be fixed simply by having a parent around who is kind to her. Edmure probably has a lot less âlook at me im a real manâ issues which is only a benefit because heâs already one of the better lords in the series. Cat is most affected by this - she doesn't get the sort of "lady of riverrun" training she got in the main series, but at the same time, she has a mother to show her how to be a lady. Is she still as headstrong? Still as dutiful? And with Minisa running around, does Shella Whent have a potential ally to hide out with in the Riverlands?
Ned is infinitely less lost after the war with his mother still there. We know the least about Lyarra than we do the others because Ned never thinks of her (and we also don't know whether or not Ned told Benjen about the Lyanna/Jon situation, or whether Benjen pieced it together) but she's a Flint and a Stark, so I think even if Ned doesn't tell her everything and she doesn't piece the truth together, it's possible she helps ease things when he gets home. Cares for Jon so he has a maternal figure around, pushes for him to be sent to her cousins in the mountains. Does Osha attempt to escape Winterfell alongside Lyarra? I think this is where Lyarra would affect things the most; we know Osha and Rickon went for Skagos to hide, but with Lyarra there, would she insist on sending them to the Flints of the mountains, somewhere much safer for them? Would she insist instead on traveling with Bran? Would she maybe even insist on going to Jon, to warn him of the Others, and get there to find her grandson already planning?
There's a lot of factors but I think the characters that would benefit the most from having a mother/grandmother around are Tyrion, Jaime, Cersei's grandchildren, & Lysa, & Ned and Jon, possibly Bran and Rickon. It's not to say they would fix everything, but having the Lords Paramount of three different regions all dead with their wives still alive and fighting is so interesting to think about during the War of Five Kings.

Aerys II Targaryen being obsessed with Joanna and was commenting about her body and all that stuff, you know Aerys being a piece of shit towards Tywin.
Dream!Reader stumbles Aerys II and smacks him in his head: YOU HAVE A WIFE, DUMBASS! STOP LUSTING OVER A MARRIED WOMAN OF YOUR BEST FRIEND FOR F*** SAKE! YOU DAMN PERVERT!đĄđ€Źđ
Yan!platonc! Aerys II: đ„șđ
Yandere platonic Rhaella, Rhaegar, Tywin and Joanna:đ±đ±đ«ąđ«ą
Dream!Reader turns around towards Lannisters: I apologise for Kingâs behaviour, Iâll try to deal with him. If something like that happens, please let me know.
Reactions from Targaryens and Lannisters?
Okay but Dream!Reader acting like a disappointed and disgruntled mother when any of the Targaryens act up is so funny and honestly the truth. They try to keep the peace, try to at the very least uphold some form of manners amongst their hoard of Targaryens but thereâs only so much they can do to try and get their point across before the others pull rank on them or something outrageously ridiculous. Usually these scoldings backfire in some way, shape, or form on Dream!Reader. Either leads to an even bigger problem that inevitably leads to another war or battle of some sort, or it leads to even more intense rivalries going on. Both between other houses and inners house buffoonery.
(Also, I canât help but imagine Dream!Reader repeatedly whacking Aerys with a rolled up newspaper. Or even a spray bottle, just spritzing the bad Targaryens when they act up.)
Aerys would feel absolutely embarrassed, not so much that he was openly scolded and berated for his actions but rather because it was Dream!Reader who saw him behave in such a manner with their own eyes to begin with. Usually he tries pretty hard to portray himself in a better light in the company of Dream!Reader but he foolishly slipped up this time. Itâs not like he had Dream!Reader fooled or anything but in his head he did and now he just so blatantly jeopardized his image to them. Instead of apologizing and trying to make amends with the parties involved, Aerys would instead do so with Dream!Reader, at least he would try. In his mind he believes heâs made a mistake with them, not anyone else, so therefore heâs going to try to make it right with them and no one else.
Rhaella would be extremely grateful of Dream!Readerâs intervening, as are Joanna and Tywin. She knew she couldnât do anything to stop Aerys herself otherwise sheâd get punished for it later. Unlike her, Dream!Reader could get away with anything when it came to Aerys. Not only that but the Reader was also the only one who could make Aerys feel ashamed, even if it wasnât necessarily for the right reasons, at the very least it was more than anyone else could achieve. Besides, Rhaella would be lying if she said she didnât take any enjoyment out of Aerys getting put in his place, especially by the Reader who Aerys particularly adored most.
Joanna would be so very appreciative of Dream!Reader intervening as they did. Similar to Rhaella, there was nothing Joanna could do in the situation without consequences so for the Reader to defend her as they did was very much appreciated. I can imagine Joanna growing a fondness for Dream!Reader in her own way so to have the Reader come to her defense would really mean a lot.
Tywin would share Rhaella and Joannaâs relief and gratefulness for Dream!Reader in the situation. As much as he wanted to step in more to protect his lady wife he knew he would only be giving Aerys what he wanted and it irked him so. But to have the Reader come in not only to defend his wife but to also put Aerys in his place was more than Tywin could have asked for. It was great amusement watching Aerys look like a child getting scolded and Tywin was more than aware that Dream!Reader was the only one who could do such a thing as well as get away with it without so much as a glare from the King. Tywin would be more familiar with the Reader than Joanna so he isnât surprised to see the Reader jump in to protect someone from Aerysâ unwanted attention/harassment, let alone any other Targaryens unwarranted bad behavior, heâs witnessed it before but still it never ceases to amaze him how the Reader has no fear for the repercussions of their actions. Then again heâs heard the stories of how the Targaryens have been with their precious Dream!Reader, how far theyâll go to protect them even from each other.
