The idea of planning a holiday in the winter had always been in my mind particularly to the mountains of Sikkim. And as I decided to go on for it, I already knew that the tour was going to be a seven-night eight-day tour of Gangtok, Lachung, Pelling, and Darjeeling. It all began in Gangtok, the capital of the state of Sikkim; the cool wind to complement the warm welcome of the people was enough to give me what I felt to be a home away from home.

The next part of the journey in a car led us to Lachung, which is just a small village however surrounded with snowy mountains.
